Chapter 69: Meaning of The Pups' Names

Paul's POV:

Mat was still crying in my arms as Sue dragged Charlie away. When I heard them drive away, I was able to finally calm down. I exhaled a breath of relief and I attended to Mat. I purred lowly and rocked him to sleep in my arms.

Leah finally spoke up, "..you know we are screwed, right?" as she tried to console Lucas.

I watched her carefully until My wolf spirit whispered let alpha female take care of her.

So, I looked away and focused on taking care of Mat. Seth got Evangeline to calm down, so he helped Leah. Leah eventually got Evangeline to calm down. I

I tensed, "yeah, but it is bound to happen eventually. It took him long enough to finally found out."

She sighed, "yeah…I need to call Jacob and tell him."

She looked back at Lucas and to me, and I said, "you can pass him to me. I'm going to go back to the bedroom. I can hear Ale's heartbeat has changed. She is going to wake up any moment. Immma show both Lucas and Mat to her."

Leah nodded and carefully placed Lucas in my other arms before going to the kitchen to use the house phone to call Jacob. Lucas had a light blue body suit with elephant prints on them. With both of my boys in my arms, I was beaming with happiness and pride. Mat was squirming around in my other arm, and I glanced at him and said teasingly, "so, you were the one who kept kicking your mommy."

I nuzzled him gently in cheek. They were so small in my arms that I felt one wrong move, they can easily get hurt. However, my wolf spirit says confidently they'll be strong pups.

Seth sat down in the couch. He rocked Evangeline to sleep, and she easily fell asleep in his arms. At the same time, I went back to the bedroom, and I laid next to Ale.

Ale's POV:

I felt sore. My whole body was aching, and I felt like I wanted to keep on sleeping, but I couldn't. I felt something warm next to me, and I twisted my neck to look to see Paul staring lovingly at both Mateo and Lucas. Paul glanced at me and asked me quietly, "how are you doing, hon?"

I said tiredly," I'm exhausted. I am not in pain, but I am very sore."

He nodded. He asked, "do you want to meet our pups."

I nodded as I tried to get up, but I winced from the soreness around my belly and lower half. He said quickly, "careful. Take it easy. Don't worry, I got you."

He got closer to me, and I saw both Lucas and Mateo. They both were sleeping peacefully in his arms, and I just stared in awe.

They're my children. ..I'm a mom. Wow. I can't believe it. Who knew, I would have three children. I smiled internally to myself as I gaze tiredly on all three of them. Then, I heard a knock. Paul whispered, "..you can bring her in Seth."

Seth came in looking sheepishly both at me and Paul. He had Evangeline in his arms and she was knocked out. I chuckled lightly from the sight. He looks like he can be Uncle/tio Seth to Evangeline. He carefully walked toward Paul, and Paul pointed his head at me, so Seth placed Evangeline in my arms.

Woah. She felt warm in my arms, but not supernaturally warm like Paul. She was wearing purple bodysuit. Paul said, "thank you."

I turned my head and asked him confusingly, "for what?"

He said with slightly dimmed silver eyes , "for bringing them to this world. Thank you."

I really appreciated it that he wasn't one of those guys who thinks it is easy for women to give birth. He knew how hard it was for me. Hell, he experienced part of the birth throughout bond, so he had to know.

I said softly, "thanks..Paul."

I looked at Seth who was standing awkwardly by me, and I asked, "would you mind taking a picture of all of us together."

Seth's expression lightened up, and he said, "oh, yes! Definitely."

He grabbed my phone from the nightstand and took a picture of us. I knew I look like shit, but I wanted one for memories. I leaned onto Paul and watched our babies sleeping together in unison. I don't want to even think about what will happen once they wake up, but oh well.

I think I drift off the sleep again by accident because I was woken up by Mat and Lucas crying. Paul said apologetically, "I think they are hungry, hon. Would you mind feeding them? I'll bottle-feed Evangeline."

I nodded mutely. He had Evangeline in one arm while he helped me to put the pillow for breast feeding, so I can place both Mat and Lucas in them. When I was about to take my shirt off, I heard Paul growl intimidatingly at Seth. Seth looked at both of us like a deer at headlight.

He said while growling lowly to not scare off the babies, "give her privacy, Seth."

Seth gasped and turned around away from us. He apologized quickly, "Oh, I'm sorry!"

I said with a scolding tone, "it's okay, Paul. He can watch. This is natural. It's not nothing to hide. I am simply feeding them."

Paul closed his eyes and sighed. He looked at me, and said, "It's not that, Ale. Actually, my wolf and I would love to see you feed our children, but I don't want..others see you. I just want you all to myself. It's not that I see breast feeding as shameful. I hate that thinking that most Americans have. I am not about that."

Oh. I see. I said apologetically, "Sorry, Paul. I reacted first without thinking…"

He replied with a small smile, "it's okay. You had a rough day. You are a little more …frazzled than usual."

I sighed, "Yeah, sorry."

Paul twisted my nipples to stimulate them, and I pouted at him. He laughed and Seth came back in the room to gave Paul a bottle to feed Evangeline. I placed a nipple to Mat and to Lucas, and they suck very eagerly. I winced from the sensation, but it didn't hurt as much because I got used to Paul sucking them occasionally.

I couldn't help but laugh at their satisfied expression. I ruffled their hairs, and I said to Paul, "they are going to have thick hair because of me."

He hummed with a knowing smile, "mhm"

I asked while feeding them, "so, what happened after I passed out? I don't see Sue around nor Leah."

Paul paused, and that got me worried. Oh, man. What happened.

He said slowly, "Charlie…came by surprise, and I reacted strongly to it..Sue had to drag him out of the house before I did something , Leah called Jacob, and Jacob told her to go to his place."

Oh…

I was quiet for a long time. He said dejectedly, " are you mad?"

I said, "no..just overwhelmed. I didn't want Charlie to find this way…but he did need to know. It wasn't right that he couldn't know when he is best friends to the Billy, and very close to the pack. However, I am worried with how he reacts to hearing…Bella becoming a vampire and having a dhampir…It'll be hard for him to understand that Bella wanted to become a vampire to live forever with Edward and the Cullens, and she was willing to sacrifice him and Renee for the vampire life.."

He nodded mutely.

I kept going, "I think…it'll be fine. Charlie will be explained well, and Jacob is back. He'll make sure the secret will be told properly…but, I don't know how Bella is going to react..she worked so hard to keep Charlie out of all the supernatural stuff..Then again, Volturi is going to be taken down, so he'll find out eventually."

He nuttered, "yeah."

For the rest of the time, we stayed silent pondering about everything. I finished feeding Mateo and Lucas, and Paul first placed Evangeline in the crib, then the boys.

Paul used this time to go to the kitchen and prepare a meal for both of us. He brought them in a tray, so I can still stay in bed thankfully. While we were eating, I asked, "what are the meaning of their names?"

He said with a grin, "For Mateo, Qahla. It means Sun. He is the firstborn, and he is going to the spirt warrior. He has a strong name for the strong destiny that awaits him. There are many ways he can go about with his name to. However, For Lucas, Pititchu. It means Moon. He is the secondborn, and I hope that he'll be the yin to his brother's yang. He is his own person, and there are many ways he can go about with his name as well. However, as a future spirit warrior, I hope that he'll be wise and flexible."

Not to be offensive, when I heard Pititchu, I heard Pikachu. I cracked a smile, but I couldnt laugh. Paul and his wolf spirit thought deeply to their names.

He looked at me confusingly, and he said, "For Evangeline, it is Kopat. It means Love. I want her to know that she is very loved, and she will be loved. ..Despite of the heavy burden that she'll be by being a peacemaker, I hope that she'll have the heart to love others as a individual, and that she'll be reminded that love is needed to make peace like I have seen in you, Ale."

Oh, fuck. He is getting me sentimental, so I started rubbing my eyes from the tears that were building. Damn, he gave them good names, so I said, "they are beautiful name, Paul."

I looked at him, and he was smiling happily. He said with a cheeky grin, "They are, aren't they? My wolf spirit and I are very proud about it."

For the rest of the evening, we mostly relaxed until the babies woke up again to change their diapers. Poor, Paul. Due to his keen nose, it was very hard on him to change their diapers. I notice from the grimace expression from his face, and he would occasionally rub his nose. Nevertheless, he still did it without complaining and grumbling, so I was proud of him.

I didn't get much sleep since the babies would wake up every few hours. I would pump breastmilk every so often, so one of the babies can be bottle fed, and we tried to let all the babies to have the chance to be breastfed by me.

First day of parenthood, it went aight.
