Chapter 78: Wolf Spirit's Quality Time

A/N: When Jake's wolf spirit takes over, I will start referring to his wolf spirit as Alpha.

Leah's POV:

I woke up with Jacob purring next to me. I lazily lifted my head, and he looked at me sheepishly.

He said, "sorry, I can't help it. Me and my wolf spirit are very happy."

I croaked, "I could see that. How long you have been awake?"

He had a pondering expression. He looked around the cave and said, "I can't tell the exact time here, but maybe like for the past hour or so?"

I nodded and snuggled up to him. Even though we both were covered in musk, we didn't care. We enjoyed smelling like each other. For some reason, I felt like there was this itch inside my skin. Was it because I haven't phased in a while? I haven't felt like this in a long time.

I said hurriedly, "Jake, I-I don't know why but I really gotta phase right now."

He said, "what?"

I didn't give him the chance to say anything else when I ran out of the cave and upward towards the forest then I phased. There was this relief when I phased. Once I phased, I heard my wolf spirit said finally

"Finally? Why?" I asked. She said, now that we are claimed, I want to get acquainted to my mate's wolf spirit as well.

I said angrily, "and you couldn't even tell me this?"

She said, no.

I grumbled and stalked around the forest. I stretched my back and front legs. Give a little wiggle to my bod and exhaled when I heard branches cracking behind me. I turned my wolf head and I saw that Jake himself phased as well.

Let me take over my wolf spirit said. I hesitated for a moment, but I finally let her spend time with alpha wolf. She moved close to Jake, going around in circles and sniffing him out. Jake tilted his head in question and asked through the mind link, Leah?

Alpha, I would like to spend time with your wolf spirit My wolf spirit said.

There was a long silence and I assumed Jake was talking with his wolf spirit. Then, Jake nodded. Her ears perked up in glee and anticipation. She crouched down to jump on top of Jake to roll him in the ground. Clearly, Alpha is much bigger, bulkier and stronger than us, but she didn't care. Alpha simply let himself to be toppled down by her, and he let out a wolfy chuckle. She was purring and rubbing herself all over him. She gave him a quick lick on his nose and dashed off deeper into the forest.

I could hear Alpha catching up to us, but because of my small and petite figure as a wolf, I am the fastest wolf in the pack. I would hear him his growing frustration building up as his growling growing louder and louder by the moment. I wasn't quite sure what was her end game, but leaped to a tree, jumped off of it to make a sharp turn around. I was immediately facing him. I didn't realize he was that close to me, but I think she miscalculated because Alpha was able to grab the extra fur on my neck to pull me down. she yelped in surprise.

Now, I was under Alpha. He fell down on top of me, and I let out a soft yelp. I was pinned down under him, and he started licking me all over my face. He was purring loudly, and slowly, she started to respond to his affections. They were licking each other, purring in content. Alpha got up and lowly growled at me to follow him, so she did. Suddenly, he started running after something and she was following quietly behind him. It seemed like he was hunting? She was few yards away from him when he heard a deer yelped with a loud crunch. She slowly walked behind him with her eyes drooping in submission. He turned his head around, and his snout was covered in deer's blood. He walked toward me and gave us a small lick in indication to raise my head. He turned around, and I noticed that his tail was wagging very happily.

Was he that content for killing a deer? How amusing. He stood next to the deer proudly, and she was at the other side of the deer. She let out a small purr then knelt to start devouring the deer. He was purring happily, and he joined in as well. We ate in peace. She gave a thankful lick to Alpha and he licked her back as well. With her paw, she dig a small hole to push the remaining of the carcass and bury it in the hole. I wasn't sure why she did.

She said Because he offered me a kill and we ate it together, as his mate I need to bury to signify that whatever happened in the past is in the past. We are starting a new beginning.

Huh. It's a bit poetic, but I like it. She started running, but not as fast as earlier, so he was by our side. We finally stopped by a river to take a sip. She was still drinking when he started cleaning my body. It felt weird. I know it is something female wolves to their cubs. I guess he is just showing his affection like this? I think he was licking too hard when she snarled lowly at him. he paused and snorted. He again got on top of us, and this time she shifted around to sit comfortably under him. She laid down her neck on the ground and he laid his huge wolf head on top of us too. There was this small constant purr from Alpha, so I don't know how long we were like that when I found myself falling asleep.

I woke up with someone tugging my very deeply into their chest. I inhaled a deep breath and I recognized immediately that it was Jake. His long black hair was tickling my neck, and I couldn't help but let out a small giggle.

Jake said, "I'm sorry, did I wake you up?"

I opened my eyes, and I turned my head to look up at Jake. He was carrying me, and I saw past his head and looked to the sky. It looked like the sun is going down, and I said groggily, "no."

He nodded and kept on walking. Usually, I would find myself to escape from his embrace, but now that we did the claiming ceremony, I am much more open to affection from him.

He said, "you can go back to sleep. I'll take you back home, Leah."

I nodded and closed my eyes.

Haha…..Hi? It's been awhile. If others have read my other story, I have been dealing a huge loss of motivation for fanfiction. I was really considering putting this into hiatus, but I didn't want to do that. I know the feeling of writers disappearing forever, so I don't want to do that. For that reason, I started working on my other story to find some motivation. It has helped, and I am finally able to push this chapter out.

However, I think I bit more than I can chew, so I won't be making stories like this big again. I will make it maybe max 50 chapters? I will be wrapping this story from this point on. The Epilogue will be divided into parts, so we are finally coming to an end to this story guys!

I have grown a lot as a writer these past few months, and I couldn't have done it without you guys. As an amateur writer, I think I pretty solid C+ with this story. I will finish Who am I, and I am planning to write two other stories. Not sure which one to start with.

1. It takes place after Breaking Dawn.. Jacob didn't imprint on Renesmee and imprinted on Leah when he broke from Sam's pack and became a rouge Alpha. The Cullens were exiled from Washington State, the Volturi never came after them, and Paul didn't imprint on Rachel. Paul is a gym teacher in the Rez, and he imprints on the new high schools' social worker's niece. The OC character will be 18 years old, and it will be rated M. Maybe throw in a high school pregnancy for fun? Keke

2. AU. It will be OC/Sam M story. Three graduated college students took a trip across the state to celebrate graduating from college. The OC felt a strong pull to make a wrong turn, and they ended up being very close to the Quileute Reservation. They ran into a vampire (still deciding on who) when the vampire killed one of her friends. The OC suddenly phased into a wolf for the first time and fend for herself when Sam and the pack comes in time to save her and her other surviving friend.
