Lily just saw a lightning bolt fly through several Goblins. It was a magic sword, a small one that would help her escape her current predicament. She snatched it up before the Guild Investigators could get it.

It was two hours after Bell ran away from being saved. He felt rotten for needing to be saved. He arrived back at the scene. The Guild summoned all non Adventurers to the Nike Plaza. They wanted to get a detailed report. Also, the Loki Familia would be present to give their emblem to each victim.

Bell was aware that an Emblem was the official document that a Familia used to promise valis. A sort of I.O.U. As punishment for letting the Minotaur escape, the Loki Familia would pay retributions.

Bell arrived cleaned up and looked for his Grandfather's sword. He doubted he'd find it. And it turned out he was right. With a sigh he figured that someone desperate picked it up to sell. Knowing that he was considering to possibly pawn it just a few hours ago.

The Loki Familia's Sword Princess approached him and he could see a sad look in her eyes. She bowed her head to him, "I'm sorry."

Tiona scratched her cheek as she walked up beside Aiz, "Hey, white hair. Did you happen to loose anything during the attack?"

Bell felt shame as he replied with tears welling up in his eyes, "Y-y-yes, my magic sword. It belonged to my grandfather. And now, I'll never get it back."

Aiz was wide eyed as she felt responsible, "Did it break while you were using it?"

Bell wiped his face with the back sleeve, "No, I uh dropped it when the Minotaur showed up. If it wasn't for Ms. Syr. I would be dead."

A scoff was heard that startled Bell, "If you lost your sword. Then, it's your own fault. You should have stood your ground like a man. I mean a magic sword could have been useful. But, now it's gone. Boo hook. Weaklings like you need to learn to take some responsibility and just hide. Not try to fight with your precious family heirloom."

Tiona shouted at Bete, "That's enough! You shouldn't say things like that Bete."

Bell ran away, towards the gate. Coming to Orario was a mistake. He was no hero. No one would miss him.

Rust eyes made note of Bete Loga. He would be judged by Ottaria's Goddess for his words. If Freya took interest in someone, then any harm done to them. Emotional or physical would be dealt with accordingly. Only Freya was allowed to hurt or pleasure those that held her interest.

Ottaria looked at the boy as he ran crying. She looked down at the small cat girl that was saved by both the boy and her Goddess. The little catgirl said sullen at her hero's tears, "That's the man who saved me. Why are they treating him bad?"

Ottaria a purse of valis giving it to the little girl, "Go home, I will personally see to restoring your hero's honor."

Ottaria watched as her associate Anya escorted the girl. She turned to a lower ranked member, knowing that she might frighten the boy if she invited him. Ottaria spoke the command of her Goddess to the lower rank, "Recruit him. This is the will of our Goddess."

The member that she spoke to was a Spirit. A member of the Undine spirits. She had pale blue skin, with silver hair. She wore purple robe and carried a magic staff. She was one of Freya Familia's lower members. A young mage by the name of Aphrodessa.

Aphrodessa approached Bell once he calmed down. Bell looked up from a park bench in one of the many city parks.

She asked the boy, "Do you mind if I sit here?"

Bell shook his head and let her sit. Curious he asked her, "Are you an Adventurer?"

Aphrodessa nodded as she began eating some berries from a small lunchbox, "Yes, I'm a Mage of the Freya Familia. My name is Aphrodessa."

Bell asked excitedly after hearing the reply, "The Freya Familia? Do you know Ms. Syr then?"

Aphrodessa asked him curious to know what her Goddess saw, "Who's asking?"

Bell blushed and recoiled a bit, "Oh, uh. Sorry for not introducing myself. My name is Bell Cranel. I was saved by Ms. Syr while looking try to join a Familia."

Aphrodessa nodded, "Lady Syr is most impressive indeed isn't she? But, she's nothing compared to our Goddess, Freya is the very definition of beauty and strength. Her eyes can stop the hearts of men and women alike, charming them into endless battle."

Bell asked unsure if that was okay, "And you're okay with that?"

Aphrodessa glared slightly as she explained to him, "For the followers and children of deities, their will is absolute. Especially for those of us that serve Goddess Freya. Are you saying that our Goddess is not deserving of that commitment?"

Putting up his hands Bell replied to her, "No, no, no. That's not it at all. I just think that maybe she doesn't need to charm people. Can't she just win them over with her grace?"

Aphrodessa now understood that he was innocent of the heart. Something that most of the children of Freya weren't. She stood up and a she offered him her hand, "We're having interviews for the Familia. Would you perhaps like to come and see if Goddess Freya would accept you into our Familia?"

Bell asked shocked after being turned down by nearly every Familia in Orario, "Are you sure that the greatest Familia would want someone like me?"

Aphrodessa replied to him with a smile, "Only one way to find out."

Freya adored the boy currently standing before her. She was fascinated by him, his soul transparent. And shining, but there was a crack on it. One that had to be repaired if she wanted to keep her diamond.

Freya asked worried, "Why so sad, child?"

Bell looked down aware of the divinity that drew in his very soul, "I want to be a hero, but after yesterday's events. I'm not so sure that it's my fate."

The crack trembled in fear showing her a laughing and snarky werewolf. The Minotaur that charged for him. And the light haired maiden that he admired.

Freya now knew what to repair and how best to make him perfect again, "Child, without the blessing of a deity. One can not be a hero. Your instincts to run earlier were made in self preservation. The foolish thing would have been to stand there and die. But, you took that girl with you. Saving her, do you know why?"

Bell shook his head as Freya stood up and took his chin. Guiding his eyes to her, "To fulfill your fate as being the greatest Hero ever to exist. Before long, even Ottaria will look at you with envy. I know this. The question is child, do you trust me?"

Bell let her divinity wash over him. Setting his crack alive with lightning. Flashing brightly in Freya's Discerning Eye, "Yes."

Freya then asked him, "Then, would like to join my Familia, child?"

Freya smiled at his nod.
