So I realized it's been three years since I started writing this story. I feel like a terrible person for abandoning this work. Anyways here is the next chapter. Yay! two chapters in a week.

2011.

Rhea groaned as she heard her phone blare, "Miss Stark," She heard Coulson, "Agent Coulson,"

"Mission alert, will be picking you in twenty,"

"Yes Sir,"

She groaned as she sat up in her bed. She texted Pepper, "I am going for a new project." Pepper believes she was an intern to Doctor Selvig.

She walked out of her apartment in New York and climbed into the waiting black sedan. "Hey, Phil,"

"Miss Stark,"

"So what is it?" She asked, Agent Coulson, handed her a pad with the details.

"This is..."

"Yes, the same aircraft which was lost in the Atlantic with Captain America." Rhea could hear Agent Coulson's excitement, she smiled. "They found him? Alive?" She asked skeptically, "Yes; they found him, about him being alive I still have got nothing,"

"Howard Stark's books and Dr. Erskine's books might know," She said as she flipped through the slides and pictures, "Have they moved him out of there,"

"SHIELD's biologists are already there,"

"Why am I in this?" She asked, "You are a biochemist with a physics major, also you have access to Howard Stark's notes, he never handed over the entire work to SHIELD."

"You want me to go to Malibu,"

"Not now, once we shift him to New York we want you to,"

"New York? Why not DC?"

"It's better if he is close to home," Rhea snorted. "New York is not in 1940's Phil, this will never be his home," She said, "You think he would be alive," Coulson asked her, "I don't know, maybe all we can do is make sure he get the goodbye he deserved," She said, she felt her heart constrict. After her father brought the spotlight upon himself with his rather idiotic claim she remembered a very furious Peggy Carter showing up at their Malibu residence, whacking her father's ass with a walking stick. From that day Peggy had been a grandparental figure. She heard about Steve Rogers from her, she heard things outside of what history books portrayed; she came to know the real man.

"Director Carter?"

"We haven't informed her anything. We are waiting for the final status of about him." Rhea nodded. They had reached the HQ. She was thrust with a duffel bag in her hands. "What are these for?"

"You are going to the Arctic kid?" Clint shouted over the noise of a chopper. "Yep," She turned to Phil.

Rhea was never the fan of cold weather and the minus temperature of the Arctic was literally making her blood run cold. "If I get a frostbite I wouldn't be surprised," She said as she trailed behind Phil to the crash site, "We need to go down there," He said through the comms. "Why are we keeping him in there?"

"We have a couple of our scientists down there to bring him up?" He said. They got down into the plane.

"Gentlemen," Phil greeted them.

"Agent Coulson, Miss Stark," One of the scientists greeted them.

"How is it Doc?" Rhea asked as she looked over to where Captain Rogers was sleeping.

"He is fully frozen; I can't say anything until he is thawed,"

"Vitals,"

"Almost nonexistent,"

"What do you mean?"

"A pulse was felt in the last four hours, EKG is showing deep sleep." Rhea's eyes widened.

"That's nearly impossible,"

"We don't know Miss Stark," Rhea could feel her mind churning, trying to recollect something she read in her grandfather's notes. "Respiration,"

"Not yet detected," Rhea looked at the doctor in disbelief. "Doc you are more experienced than me, there should be something that can explain this."

"Miss Stark if anyone can explain this it's you, because last two people who worked on this are no more," Rhea sighed, "Lift him up, we are heading back to New York, Make sure the med bay is ready for any sort of emergency from life support to transfusion, from GP to a psychiatrist, this is not going to be easy and drop me to Malibu," She turned to Phil.

"Yes, Miss Stark,"

"It has to do with his metabolism and cell regeneration," She muttered under her breath, "his body had gone into stasis, but how did it prevent the freezing of blood," She continued talking to herself as she went forward to take a look at the good old Captain.

He was a handsome man, everything about him made Rhea understand why Peggy fell for him. Deep down she knew it wasn't the looks but his heart. Rhea felt like a creeper as she stared at the Captain. She turned to Agent Coulson, "Agent Coulson, please do as I said, I am going to Malibu effective immediately,"

The next day

Malibu California.

She walked into her house to find Pepper screaming at her Dad, "What?! You Did What?!" Rhea saw her Dad looking around for help and his eyes lit up as his eyes fell on Rhea. "Ri, my baby girl," Her Dad came and hid behind her. "Hiding behind your daughter won't help Mister Stark."

Mr. Stark, okay her Dad did something really stupid. "Okay Pa, what did you do?"

"He placed a tracker on you Ri," Pepper said pointing to Rhea's necklace. Rhea looked at her Dad shocked, she felt betrayed. Tony looked away. "Today morning he told me you were in the Arctic yesterday and later you were in New York."

"Dad! A tracker!" Rhea screamed, "But why?"

"You have been disappearing a lot," Rhea's eyes narrowed, "How do you know that I am disappearing?"

"For starters, when you aren't in college you say you are with Selvig but never have I ever seen you anywhere with Selvig."

"Because, Selvig works in a freaking desert, Tony! In a van?!" Rhea exclaimed, "And about Arctic thing, he loaned me to one of his colleagues for a few days, he had to do some research on marine biology and I am a biochemist, I thought it would be nice in my resume," Rhea sat down on the couch with her head resting on her hand. "Dad, I understand you are scared, I am a teenager, a kid out there in the world of adults. I know it scares you. But you need to be brave," She said softly to Tony who sat next to her. "Ri, kiddo, you have gone through hell, last two years were relatively better compared to the rocky start we had, but after Monaco, it just scares me. I nearly lost you and Pep."

"You blew up the company, for the second time," Rhea gave a watery chuckle. "I am scared to lose you again kid,"

"Okay here is my deal, how about you build me an AI, if I am in danger it would notify you Jar and Pepper, thus I would have my privacy and you would know I am safe, but yeah no overriding that and keeping live updates on me." She proposed. "A fair one," Pepper said, "So what brings you here,"

"Grandpa's notes and Erskine's notes. I might have found something," Pepper nodded, "What they found him?" Tony asked sarcastically. "How would I know that? I don't think we had any more of SHIELD's yearly babysitting after last year." She snarked as she got up and walked towards the basement.

"You aren't going to forgive Romanoff," Tony asked her.

"Nope, she spoiled my year work of bringing both together," She stopped before climbing down the stairs.

"Hey! We did find each other,"

"Yeah, whatever makes you sleep Dad," Rhea said, she heard Pepper giggle as she walked into the storeroom. "Where?, Where?, Where?" She muttered as she skimmed through the boxes. Her eyes fell on the box named Rebirth. "Yes, there you are!" She took out the box, dusting it. She opened the box. An old picture frame of her Grandfather, Peggy, and Erskine with a very skinny Steve Rogers was the first thing they found. "After all they found him," She whispered. She carried the box upstairs. She saw her Dad and Pepper cuddled together. She smiled softly, she slowly tiptoed to the front door.

"Where do you think you are going?" She heard Pepper. Rhea turned around grinning sheepishly. "You came home after all these days, you think I will let you go off easily," Pepper was tapping her foot on the floor her eyebrows raised and her hands on her hip. "Um... I need to get back, this is important," She said indicating the box, "A friend of mine is waiting outside,"

Pepper didn't look convinced, "Pep please, I promise I will be home for my birthday,"

"You better be kid, it's kind of lonely here," Tony said as he hugged Pepper from behind. Rhea placed the box on the floor; she took a few strides forward and hugged them. "I missed you guys too," She whispered.

"Love you guys,"

"Miss Stark, your friend is waiting,"

"Okay, J, tell them I am coming," Rhea said as she pulled away. She walked away and got into the Sedan.

"That's all," She heard Brock Rumlov, "I am afraid so, I don't think I will find anything in here, It's more of things than notes in particular," Rhea lied, she was clearly told not to give much information until they are sure of the Good Captain's condition. This guy in particular emitted a negative aura, he was a douche bag in general but Rhea always felt he was more than a douche. Rumlov started the car.

"I feel bad for you Miss Stark," As they drove off to the base she heard him speak.

"Why so?" She asked surprised, "you are a teen, someone who is supposed to be,"

"Hooking up going to frat parties, etc" She completed, "Unfortunately I don't find any of that thought appealing, call me a nerd, prude whatever, but those are means to unwind not a way of life."

"You mean you do unwind,"

"I do, with a preferred company," She scrunched her nose up, clearly telling Rumlow she wasn't interested to talk to him. She heard him grunt and mumble something about spoiled rich kids. Rhea snorted.

Her phone buzzed, it was a mail from the team working on Captain Rogers.

"Vitals picking up, Subject thawing."

Rhea grimaced in disgust, Subject?, she thought. That man is a national hero for god's sake. She thought, well for SHIELD Captain Rogers was a subject after all. She sighed.

"Miss Stark, we are here," Rumlow's voice broke her out of her chain of thoughts, "Oh, okay," She slowly slid out of the Sedan and walked to the Jet that would take her to New York.

In the last chapter, I made a mistake with Rhea's age. She had turned fifteen just a few months before, while Tony was missing, I have edited that.
