Chapter 6
Emily had a rough night waking sporadically and then almost instantly dropping back to sleep. The doctors had warned JJ this might happen until her body's balance was achieved. She finally woke and stayed awake at 9:00 in the morning. Emily opened her eyes she felt exhausted but smiled seeing her wife asleep with her head on the bed.
"Jennifer? Wake up sweetheart." She rubbed her sticky hair
"Too early." She muttered
"Jennifer?" Smiled Emily
"Emily!" JJ shot up looking at her wife
"Hi, I like your new look, ruby blue woman. You woman need a shower you stink." Emily sleepily told her wife. "Were are the girls?"
JJ looked ashamed "I sort of threw them out, I was kind of an evil Smurf while you were unconscious." JJ admitted
"Go shower and change your clothes so your nice and clean when you eat your humble pie." A tired Emily laughed.
EJ
JJ walked into her kitchen after a good long shower. Her blonde hair still had a tinge of red after washing. The blue paint all over her body had only faded slightly, it looked like she would be a shade of blue for a few more weeks.
Vanessa and Ellie looked on slightly angry at their mom.
"I am sorry for shouting at you both and not letting you stay with your Mama." She apologised
A small bowl of ice cream with anchovies and hot sauce was placed in front of JJ and a spoon passed to her. JJ looked down at the bowl and then up at her two smiling daughters. She took the spoon and quickly ate the horrendous concoction in front of them.
"Coffee please, that was horrible. I am really sorry girls." JJ told her two daughters
They all smiled and JJ drank her coffee trying to rid her mouth of the chilli anchovy taste.
"Vanessa kissing Reid, Mmhh." Smirked JJ
"He's invited her to Comic Con in Las Vegas next week." Smirked Ellie
"You said you wouldn't tell her." Huffed Vanessa
JJ looked shocked at the Pairing, she wasn't ready for her daughter to date yet. Even if she had known the man for years and once dated him herself.
EJ
They all sat around Emily's bed waiting for the sleeping brunette to wake up.
"Are you ok with me going to Comic Con with Spencer, Mom?" Vanessa asked her Mom
You know your Mom had a date with Spencer, you could be the next person to have kissed those luscious lips, you can compare notes with your Mom." Laughed Emily from her bed.
JJ slapped her wife hard on the shoulder "EMILY!"
"Mama! Ew that's gross." Vanessa pretended to be sick
"It's true sweetheart," laughed Emily
"How are you feeling Mama?" Asked Ellie
"Tired, but the doctor said I can go home as long as I rest. But you girls need to make sure Mama bear Smurf let's people into the cabin." Emily laughed patting JJ's arm
"I might have been a little over protective of you." Smirked JJ as she leaned across for a kiss.
"There is one thing I need to ask you sweetheart, are you going to be jealous of Vanessa..." Emily is cut short by a slap from JJ.

"Sit your ass down Prentiss, that's not resting." Snarked JJ
Emily had been home a week now and tensions were running high because of the petulant and disobedient patient. Ellie had moved in with Trina and Garcia her pregnancy hormones and a petulant Mama did not mix. JJ was almost at the end of her rope. But she had called in the cavalry her parents had arrived in woman's bay,
JJ opened the cabin door to let her mother Sandy and her father Robert into the cabin.
"Thank you Mummy she is driving me crazy. I love her but I so, so want to strangle her. Ellie moved out to stay with Garcia. Help me please." JJ begged her mother.
Emily walks past and stops dead when she sees JJ's parents.
"Emily Elizabeth Prentiss get your ass on that settee NOW!" Yelled Sandy Jareau
At the sight of Sandy pointing to the settee Emily turned tail and walked back to the settee. JJ and Vanessa laughed at the sight.
"Jennifer, please could I have a cup of coffee?" Asked Emily
"Yes you can, now was that so hard?" JJ asked her wife.
"No Ma'am, I will be a good girl. But you Jareau fight dirty." Smirked Emily
"It's nice to see you Robert not so sure about you Sandy." Laughed Emily

To the relief of the whole family and police department Emily had been allowed to do everything she wanted apart from work. Emily sat next to Ellie apologising profusely for being a bitch and causing her stress.
Ellie was now 4 months pregnant and was showing a little. She had been spoilt by her grandmother whom had taken her baby clothes shopping and must have bought one of everything in Woman's bay. Grandmother and granddaughter now sat showing their purchases off to Emily and JJ.
After her glowing daughter had shown every single purchase from their shopping trip Emily and Robert had excused themselves and gone for a walk. Emily was slowly getting her strength back after her ordeal with the blue bear society.
"Take it steady Emily, your still not 100%…I don't want to upset my little Smurfette she's frightening when she goes all Mama bear." Laughed Robert
"I know, I think I've pissed her off every few minutes since I came home. I need to buy her something pretty to apologies. Thank you so much for flying up to help her out with me." A humbled Emily told her father-in-law.
They walked along the streets slowly laughing and joking. Emily felt almost normal again after her ordeal
"Emily? You don't have to answer me, the spark is still missing from your eyes. I know Jenny has noticed, but she is frighted to ask in case you shut her out. Your not ok are you?" Robert asked
They continued to walk along the sidewalk and Robert thought Emily wasn't going to answer his question.
Emily grabbed his hands and stopped him turning to face her father-in-law she sighed.
"Every time I close my eyes I see my blood pouring out all over Jennifer's head. She just keeps shouting I need more sweetheart. She drains all of my blood and starts wearing my skin as her cloak. I know I'm being stupid but it just freaks the hell out of me. I think because Jennifer is still blue, it's just a constant reminder" Emily replies quietly
Robert Jareau just embraced Emily and rubbed her back gently.
"It will just take time sweetheart, your being hard on yourself. You have only been home for a week. Once you feel 100% things should start to improve." He rubbed Emily's back
Suddenly Emily tenses "stay behind me Robert and dial 911" Emily shouted over her shoulder
"No! No' shouted the man being assaulted by three teenagers
"Police stop!" Yelled Emily
Reaching the group she grabbed the arm holding the knife and twisted making the holder drop his weapon to the floor. Suddenly Emily started to feel light headed from her exertion. One of the teenagers noticed her wobbling and pushed her hard. Emily fell to the floor banging her head on the side walk knocking her out.
The sirens of approaching police cars could be heard, the three teenagers ran off not wanting to deal with them. Robert approached and knelt down with the man tending to Emily. He tried talking to the old man without any reply. He turned noticing Robert facing him and he covered both his ears with his hands indicating he was deaf.

Emily opened her eyes, her head felt like she had a heavy metal band playing in her head. She looked around to see JJ holding her left hand and her daughters holding her right hand. She could feel her heart melt at the sight of her sleeping family.
"Hi!" She managed to croak out.
JJ's head instantly shot up and she scowled at her wife
"What, did you think you were doing?" Scolded her wife "your still not 100%, Damn you Emily."
Ellie and Vanessa hugged their mother thankful she had only suffered a minor concussion and 12 stitches above her eye.
"Can we go home? You can quietly chastise me at home. I couldn't let them assault the man in front of me, being 100% or not." Emily tells her wife "Jennifer, I am so sorry"
JJ hugs her wife "your forgiven this time, do it again and I'll go all medieval on your ass." She whispered
EJ
The Prentiss' clan walk through their cabin door from the hospital and Sandy Jareau is found with her hands on her hips waiting for Emily.
"The Smurfette has already chastised me Sandy. I hope you haven't killed your husband?" Smirked a tired Emily
Sandy just laughed at Emily "no he has been suitably punished." She smirked
Emily walked to the couch and laid down waiting for her mother-in-law to chastise her. Sandy just lifts Emily's head and sits down resting her head in her lap.
"I'm proud of you Emily. But between worrying about you and Jennifer, my hair is rapidly loosing its colour. Any more and I will be billing you both for my dye job." Laughed Sandy
Sandy was running her hands through Emily's hair sending her off to sleep. Emily had been sleeping for about half an hour when they had a knock on the door.
JJ opened the door to find an old couple stood there with a basket full of home made cakes.
The old woman touched JJ's shoulder so she turned to look at her
"My name is Edna Woodbridge and this is my husband Tony. We are both deaf, but I can lip read if you look at me. We would like to thank your wife for her help and to find out how she is?" Edna told JJ
To the old couples surprise JJ introduced herself to Tony by sign language. Overcome with emotion he enveloped her in a bear hug. He was so used to being the forgotten deaf man.
'Thank you' he signed back
JJ smiled and invited them inside. They walked into the lounge and smiled at the sight of Emily asleep head resting on Sandy's lap.
Sandy had listened to the vocal parts of the conversation at the door. She introduced herself in sign language as well. The gleam in Tony's eyes was amazing. He had never experienced the feeling of being welcomed and included in strangers houses before.
Edna sat down and explained how the group of three had been physically abusive to Tony because they thought he had ignored them as he just walked past. Ever since that day they had targeted him directly and chose to be abusive to Edna. One morning she had gone to collect her fresh eggs only to find her chickens all headless.
"Did you report this to the police?" Sandy asked her
She shook her head "no it would only make things worse, the police couldn't be with us 24/7." She started to cry.
JJ pulled her into a hug to console the upset woman.
EJ
JJ had insisted the couple stay for dinner and persuaded them to stay with them for a few days. The blonde deputy sheriff already had a plan formulating but need the help of a few people. The hardest part would be trying to keep Emily away.
Trina and Penelope joined them for coffee.
Garcia handed Tony a new iPhone so he could use it to communicate whilst out on his own. The Woodbridge's decided to turn in for the night, it had been a very emotional day for them.
Trina explained about the Tempos family, they had arrived in woman's bay after thinking Alaska looked great, after watching a tv show. In reality things turned out badly for the family, Mrs Tempos returned to Florida never to come back. Kenny the father and Scott, Harry and Philip the sons were just petty criminals and general low life's.
JJ explained her plan and just now waited for Emily to complain about sitting this one out. To everyone's surprise she agreed to sit this one out. JJ looked at her wife sceptically but put it on the back burner for now.
EJ
The Woodbridge's were dropped off by a taxi after a few days rest with the Prentiss and Jareau clan. Tony went inside he had become addicted to candy crush on his new iPhone, Edna went to her small holding and started working her land
Scott, Harry and Philip walked up to Edna's back and pushed her over and stood on her back preventing her getting back up.
"Do you think you can hide from us! We want our money or we will do more than kill your chickens….answer me you old woman or else." Scot snarled at Edith
"You are most defiantly not the brightest kids in the world." JJ replied as she knocked Harry off her back and got up.
JJ stood wearing a grey wig styled like Edith's.
"I am deputy sheriff Jareau, you three are all under arres….." a sucker punch from Scott catches JJ above her right eye splitting it open. With blood streaming down her face she grabs Scott's groin and applied as much pressure as she can.
"Jareau stop playing with your prisoner and cuff him please." The sheriff warned her "are you ok?" He asked her

"Oh my god!" Smirked Sandy as she saw her daughter's black eye and stitches.
Trying not to laugh "Jenny, you match Emily now." She burst out laughing
Tony walks up and types on his iPhone "They always say old married couples dress the same." Said the electronic voice.
Everyone just started laughing.
EJ
Two days later Emily and JJ dropped Edna and Tony off at their house.
"We have fitted new locks for you and we have bought you some new chickens to replace the murdered ones." Signed JJ.
Garcia and Trina walk out with three dogs two husky puppies and a cocker spaniel.
"The two puppies need names, this lady's name is Kala she is a hearing dog. She is trained and just needs to bond with Tony. Her trainer will visit in a month to continue with her final phase." JJ tells Edna
No words are needed the couple just hug everybody repeatedly.
The Prentiss's and Jareau's leave a very happy bunch and decide to visit candy's bar for dinner.
"You Mrs Prentiss are going to tell me what is up with you." JJ tells her wife
"In the morning sweetheart, I promise." Smiled Emily
