Chapter 8
Two mama bears paced the arrivals lounge waiting for the newlyweds to arrive.
"Emily!" JJ nodded towards the entrance door
Vanessa and her new husband walked through the door arm in arm looking very happy. Vanessa kissed her husband on the lips trying to encourage him for the upcoming meeting with her mothers.
"Spence, don't worry they will get over the shock. We kinda just dropped the bomb shell on them." Vanessa told her new husband squeezing his hand for encouragement.
Emily and JJ glared at Spencer as he approached. If looks could kill he would have died multiple times.
"Look I can explain….." Vanessa was cut off by JJ's raised hand. She indicated for them to follow her not uttering a single word. She was communicating loud and clear with her stare towards Spencer
The newlyweds followed Emily and Jennifer to their SUV.
They start the journey back home not a single word was uttered by Emily or JJ during the journey, they periodically glared at Spencer through their mirrors making him feel very uneasy.
EJ
after a long and very uncomfortable journey Reid and Vanessa sat in the living room next to each other awaiting the interrogation form her parents and grandparents.
"Emily, JJ I would just like to say…" Reid was stopped by Emily standing he was terrified.
"Are you pregnant? Vanessa." Emily sternly asked her daughter
Vanessa glared at her parents. "No!" She replied with venom
"We're you drunk?" Emily continued her interrogation of her daughter.
"Emily Prentiss sit your ass down and let your daughter talk" ordered Sandy Jareau
JJ was about to remonstrate but her mother just glared at her warning her not to.
"Thank you grandma. I really got to know Spencer whilst I waited in the hospital for you to wake up Mama. When he returned to Washington we talked twice a day on the phone and played online chess while he worked. When he met me in Los Vegas my heart just melted and I knew he was my soul mate, Spencer felt the same. He proposed over a glass of blood wine at comic con, we got married by Captain Kirk on the bridge of the enterprise. I was dressed in an original series red star fleet dress complete with tricorder, Spencer dressed as a romulan. Please don't be mad at us we are happy." Vanessa begged her mothers
Vanessa lifted her head to see both her mothers crying. She stared at them waiting to find out if they were happy or sad tears.
"Congratulations! Welcome to the family Son." both Emily and JJ smiled with a slight cringe.
"Bang! Bang! Open this damn door and let me in!" Yelled Garcia
Every one laughed at Garcia, JJ walked up to the door and let in her friend. Garcia, Trina and Ellie flew past JJ and made a beeline for the newlyweds. Garcia handed Emily the bottle of champagne and pulled Spencer and Vanessa into a bear hug.
"Congratulations, I'm arranging a wedding reception for both of you, no arguments." Gushed Garcia
"Congrats Sis and big brother." Smiled Ellie
Trina kissed them both and accepted the glass of champagne that Emily had just passed her. JJ banged her wedding ring against her glass to get everyone's attention.
"I would like to make a toast to our newlyweds Vanessa and Spencer Reid, I can see how happy the two of you are together. But you know how old your mama is her heart can't take big surprises over the phone any more like that." Every one laughed even Emily "Vanessa and Spencer." She raised her glass
"Vanessa and Spencer." Everyone replied.
EJ
The big rig was pulled over on the highway by the police SUV. the police officer approached and asked the driver for his licence and proof of insurance.
"Is there a problem officer?" The driver asked
"No sir. We are just conducting random stops of big rigs to check your documentation and check your loads." Cordially replied the officer.
The police officer never saw the gun as he was reading through the drivers paperwork. A noise suppressed pistol shot him twice in the head killing him instantly. The passenger whom had been sleeping jumped down from the cab and destroyed the on board camera and the officers body cam. Loading the body into the back of their trailer for disposal later they torched the police SUV.
"Boss we had a problem with he police. Had to kill him he wanted to look in the back of the trailer. We torched his vehicle and loaded his body for later disposal. We are on time and will be at the RV on time." The driver told his boss. He ended the call after listening to his boss for 5 minutes
"He said try and be more careful, he doesn't want us to have any more encounters with law enforcement. But the plan stays the same." The driver told his passenger.
"Wake me up in 2 hours and I will take over." She smiled

The Reid's sat cuddling on the settee when Emily and JJ sat down either side of them.
"Where are you going to live?" JJ asked with a little trepidation of their answer
"I am going to take a month off and Vanessa is going to show me around. I have been think about writing a book, staying in women's bay would be a perfect place to do that. We can discuss our permanent living situation after I have written my book." Reid told her
Emily let out a breath she didn't even realise she was holding in.
"Thank you, I am not ready for you to fly the nest." Emily Replied.
"Oh, Spence hurt her and I will feed you to our polar bears alive." JJ smiled as she warned her Son-in-law.
"Time for us all to celebrate, Candy's Bar." Garcia announced
"Good idea Penelope." Sandy smiled.
40 minutes later the Jareau's, Prentiss's and Reid's all descended on Candy's bar and grill to celebrate Vanessa's and Spencer's nuptials. Garcia had amazed everyone with the fact she had managed to obtain a two tiered wedding cake at short notice. When asked how she managed, she just replied don't ask with a huge grin on her face.
Emily noticed a tall blonde man with very short hair and very feminine features, he could easily pass as a female. The blonde man caught Emily looking and raised his glass in a toast. A red faced Emily raised her glass returning the toast. His table of friend just laughed and turned to look at Emily and also raised their glasses. Emily returned the toast and turned around.
"That will teach you to be nosy." Laughed JJ
"Brat!" Laughed Emily.
Every one enjoyed the night dancing and laughing. Emily and JJ had received Reid into the family happy for the married couple. Spencer now being their Son-in-law might take a lot of getting used too.
Emily and JJ had paid for Vanessa and Reid to stay at the hotel in town to celebrate there belated wedding night. The two mothers felt guilty ordering them back to women's bay after they had dropped their bomb shell. They had also volunteered to phone Hotch in the morning to break the wedding news. Emily and JJ both separately thought how bad could it be, Spencer was terrified of making the call.
After seeing the married couple off every one returned home tired but pleasantly pleased. A good night was had by all.
EJ
Sat around the breakfast table JJ and Emily phoned Hotch.
"Hotchner" he answered
"Hotch, it's Emily and JJ your on speaker." Replied JJ happily
They could hear the happiness in his voice. "Hello, I still miss you both, I don't suppose your phoning to tell me your both want to come back?" He asked hopefully
"Sorry no, we phoned to let you know Reid got married to Vanessa in Vegas two days ago." Emily answered
Hotch was silent for a while.
"Married?" Hotch repeated
"Yeah, pretty much how we responded." Laughed JJ
"They apparently hit it off while they waited for Emily to wake up. They kept in contact when he returned to Washington. He invited her to comic con, hearts melted once they looked at each other. Got married on the bridge of the enterprise by Captain Kirk." laughed both mothers.
"Off course they did. Is he coming back to the BAU?" Hotch asked already knowing the answer.
Emily sighed "Not straight away Hotch. He is asking Strauss for a month off and he is considering writing a book up here." Emily replied to her friend.
"Pass my congratulations onto the happy couple. Tell Reid he can have two months and to call me a week before the end of his leave to tell me his final decision." Hotch said goodbye with a happy smile but a heavy heart at loosing another team member. Hotch not looking forward to telling Morgan that the girls had Stollen another friend.
As Emily put the cell phone down she received a text message from Morgan
Who's next Hotch? Just stay away
Obviously Hotch had told him about Reid. Emily and JJ looked sad they hoped he would eventually forgive them for persuading Garcia to stay in Alaska but with Reid possibly staying there was no chance any more, they had lost their old friend.

The blonde handsome man and his friend sat in the Snow Drift Motel room 113. The group of two men and three women opened their two rucksacks and recounted the money for the tenth time while they waited for a phone call. For the tenth time they had 2 million dollars in each rucksack.
"They should reach the RV in three hours, as long as they have avoided the police." The handsome blonde told the group.
"Nicole you get the burgers and we can watch a film while we wait." He told her.
