Working in that research facility was not easy sometimes. You had to interact with both researchers and members of the army everyday, and despite working towards similar goals, they had completely different ways of accessing situations. For while the researchers looked at the possibilities of something, on how it could improve, the military often began evaluating the risks, evaluating how something could destroy everything. It was not that they were paranoid; it was just that they had to worry about public safety before everything else.

This meant that you needed to know ways of interacting with both, and both had to find ways to interact with each other with their different views. Sometimes it was hard, especially for someone who was in there to be kind of a midterm between the two.

As it was the case of Legoshi Ogami. He was one of the non-dragons that worked in the facility. He was tall for a wolf, being somewhat skinny, as he was not a warrior. He had greyish-blue fur, with cream on his muzzle and down his chest, and he had a scar on his face, above his right eye, looking made by someone with claws. He wore simple clothing, with a blue vest, a pair of long black pants, and a blue jacket over his body. Legoshi was not a researcher, and neither he was one of the military in there, he was something akin to an office boy (or office wolf, if you must). He had just finished talking with one of the dragons who was in charge for the place, and he was sighing as he walked out of the room, the sliding doors opening for him to walk out.

"What a day…" The wolf said to himself. "I really wish I had not dropped out of school. At least I would be able to understand some of what they say…" The wolf was about to walk his way, when something big passed by him in a dash.

"Hey!"

"Oh! Sorry!" The figure said, and Legoshi could make out that it was a dragon, before he resumed moving. The wolf blinked at the dragon that moved away from him, and soon, more creatures were passing by him. They hardly gave him a second look, and they just kept moving in direction to somewhere.

"H-hey…" Legoshi said, as the creatures chat among themselves as they went, completely ignoring him. "W-what is going on? Where is the fire? Guys?"

"Legoshi!" Someone said, almost causing the wolf to jump back slightly. It was a faun-dragon. She was a lot taller than Legoshi, with scales of a deep crimson on her body, with pink on her belly and chest, and on the membranes of her wings. She had two curved horns on her head, and she had eyes of a deep caramel coloration. Her tail ended into a tailblade shaped like a Morningstar, and she was wearing an armor on her body, which depicted her as a member of the military force of Warfang. She was Kindle Incendian, one recruit who has been starting lately, and who had become quite close to Legoshi after he came to work in there from his last job, after he received an indication from some horse of the police force after helping capture a dangerous criminal...

"Kindle!" Legoshi said, looking at her. "What is going on?"

"Haven't you heard?" The female faun-dragon asked to him. "Spyro and Cynder are on the Danger Room with the other Stars." She said to him. "They are about to start a training session! Everybody wants to see it."

"Oh... Oh! The legendary dragons!" Legoshi said, as the memory suddenly sparked into his mind. "They got out of the Simulation Room already?"

"Yes! And now they are in the Danger Room, about to make some training to show their skills!" Kindle said, as she seemed about to explode from excitement. "Can you believe it!? The legendary Spyro and Cynder will show off their skills! This is gonna be so epic! Everybody is going to watch it! You should come too!"

Legoshi looked at her. He did enjoyed being around Kindle, as she was the first friend that he actually made since coming to work in that place, but sometimes he did got a little overwhelmed by her ways of acting.

"Actually, I was about to-" Legoshi tried to say but before he could, the much bigger creature grabbed him by the chest and rose him like a doll.

"Come! I bet they have skills that are in a whole other level!" Kindle said, as she resumed running, Legoshi nested on her arm like a baby, helpless and feeling somewhat numb, like when you are suddenly woke up and dragged out of your room, as the dragoness took him with her in that direction.

She was taking him along with the flow of dragons, all of them going after the same thing: a place where they would be able to watch the training that was going to happen. All of them wanted to see the skills of the legendary dragons, among them no other than Spyro himself.

In the middle of the flow of dragons, there was one in particular that called attention. This dragon should be around the same age as Spyro and Cynder, his colors were very similar to the legendary purple dragon. He had the same shade of purple on his body that Spyro had, and his underbelly of a solid wood coloration. His wing membranes were of a cream color. His horns curved over his head and they looked somewhat like a crown, and they were of a pure ivory white. His tail ended into a tailblade that was shaped like a spiral spear, somewhat looking like some short of drill. He had some things on his body, including a high-tech device on his left wrist, and a harness that had a purse on his side. His eyes were of a honey coloration, and they looked at the dragons and other creatures that passed by him in a hurry, looking quite confused.

"Hey. Hey! Where is the fire, guys?" The dragons asked, but most of them just passed right by him. Now, this purple dragon was not exactly used to being ignore, and he truly was starting to want some answers.

"This way!" Another voice came as something passed by the head of the purple dragon. It was another purple dragon, but this one was radically different from him. For starters, this dragon was long, like a noodle, and he had no wings, still, somehow he was in the air. The body of this dragon had a shade of deep purple that surely made it stand out, and covered all of his body, without any other shades. He had four legs and a long tail, that ended in no tailblade, but seemed to have fur of a light purple coloration on top of it, with the same fur growing on the top of the dragon's head, which was also decorated by ebony horns that somewhat resembled the ones of a growing deer, not very big but impressive. His eyes were of a green coloration, like jade, and the curious creature seemed to be very agitated at something.

"Hey, Shiryu!" The first purple dragon said, causing the floating purple noodle dragon to stop in midair and twist his body, to see who called for him. He saw that it was a familiar fellow purple dragon.

"Oh, hey Asher!" The dragon said, turning his body completely and undulating across the air to be closer to the dragon. "Did you bought that new game you wanted?"

"Yeah, sure did." Asher said, as he looked at the floating noodle. "Say, why is everyone in a hurry like that?"

"They are going to see Spyro and Cynder!" The floating dragon said, and Asher blinked as he looked at the other one.

"Oh... They are out of the Simulation Room?" Asher asked, and Shiryu nodded.

"Yep, they are in the danger room with the others, and they are going to start training!" The floating purple noodle said, "Everyone is going to watch them train!"

"Shiryu wanted to go watch it." Another voice said, making Asher turn around to see the familiar form of Jocasta, with the much smaller form of Shiloh coming right by her side, skipping a lot to keep up with the steps of the adult. "If I didn't took him, he would try to sneak away to see it and you know what happened the last time he wandered on the hallways of the facility alone."

"Oh, yeah. I surely remember that." Asher said, and he looked at the floating purple dragon. "How did you managed to cause the gravity to shift in three whole rooms?"

"I'm not really sure." Shiryu admitted. "One thing led to another."

"So, I guess that their training is about to start. Why don't we all go together?" Jocasta offered, and both Shiloh and Shiryu agreed with it in an instant. Asher too agreed, and soon, the four purple dragons were going on their way.

After all, they too were interested in seeing the legendary skills of Spyro and Cynder, the ones who saved the world over fifty thousand years ago. Everyone was sure that their skills were on a whole other level, if any of the stories were true.

The purple dragons were going in direction to the said room, while everyone else was going to another place. It looked like some short of entertainment room, with a big screen on one of the sides. As the creatures gathered in that room, they were soon taking places as they all faced the big screen. As they gathered there, some were already asking someone to "tune in the Danger Room". Soon, the big screen that was on the room started to come to focus as it worked, and all of them stood on their seats.

The image focalized, and showed the inside of the Danger Room, as well as the dragons that were in there at that same moment...

Back in the Danger Room, Spyro and Cynder were both into the middle of the great room. The rest of the dragons were a certain distance away from them, all looking at them as the two dragons looked around.

"So… how do we start the training thing?" Spyro asked.

"First, we need to set a specific level of difficulty for you to face in the simulation." Watercrest said, "So, which level of difficulty would you two like?"

The young dragons looked at each other, as they were not sure what level they actually wanted. They were not even sure what they meant by "level of difficulty".

"It is kind of like a video game!" Adamaius said to them.

"A what?" Spyro asked, and the Burglar just rolled his eyes, now fighting back the urge to slap his paw on his own face.

"What about the intermediary level?" Maximus suggested. "It is not the easiest one and neither the most difficult. It will allow us to see what exactly their level of skill is, and will not overwhelm them too much for their first training session.

Captain Watercrest found himself completely agreeing with this suggestion. However, someone else said something in return:

"Actually, I think the usual simulation would be quite heavy for them now."

It was the one who had been presented to the as the "Star of the Sage". The purple dragon looked at others as he explained:

"These two have been through a lot of stress lately, and they probably are not on their best after all that they went through."

"What do you suggest then, Mr. Know It All?" Asked Kastiel, the Star of the Lover, and Hanson looked back at him.

"Sparring, my friend." He concluded, as if it was something obvious. "One or two of us against the two of them. This way there will be much more control over the situation, and we will be able to test by ourselves the level of their skills."

"Now that is an idea I can back up." The Star of the Knight said, as she looked at the two dragons. "Is that okay with you two?" She asked, quite respectfully.

"Well, I guess so." Spyro said, and Cynder nodded, agreeing with her purple companion.

"Well, I guess it is settled." Aquarius said, as she looked at the other ones. "So, who would like to be sparring with Spyro and Cynder?"

There was some talking among themselves between the other dragons, as they seemed to want to come to an agreement on this. It was taking almost a full minute, and Spyro and Cynder were now sharing a look among themselves.

"Oh, you bunch of wussies!" A voice suddenly cried out. Everyone looked to who had called out like that, and they all could see that it was Adamaius. He looked at all of the others. "Are you guys really scared of facing two hatchlings? All because of some old tales? Ridiculous!" He said, looking at all of them, before he spoke.

"Well, since all of you are a bunch of cowards, I'll do it."

Some of them shared looks as the Burglar said that. He was now looking intently at the two, and it was clear that he was going to take this seriously.

"Now, I want to see if there is really any truth in the legends of Spyro and Cynder."

The way he spoke, and the look on his face, was something that left the two dragons feeling quite uneasy.

"Adamauis, can we trust you to restrain yourself if you get to fight with them?" Aquarius asked, and this caused the purple teenager to scoff.

"Hah, afraid that I'll off your legendary heroes?" He said, there was a smirk in his muzzle that made both Spyro and Cynder even more uneasy.

"I'll be sparring with them." Said Allisandra, the Star of the Knight. Everyone looked at her, and she simply said:

"I already sparred many times in my past. I know how to fight and I know how to restrain myself, unlike others." She gave a glance at Adamaius as she spoke that, and the other dragon hissed at her.

"What about you go together?" Cosmos suggested, making everyone looked at them. "It could start easy, with Allisandra going first against the two while Adamaius watches. If he sees that she is having trouble, he will enter the battle. Sounds reasonable?"

Everyone looked at him for a while as they all digested that idea. Little by little, some of the dragons were starting to agree with it, as the idea actually seemed to be quite reasonable.

Soon, the dragons were taking position, with Allisandra standing in place and looking at the two younger dragons, while Adamaius stood in the background, sitting in his haunches, as he looked, almost seeming to be a gargoyle. The other dragons all stood back as they watched; some of them actually quite eager to see what kind of battle was going to unfold.

They were so focus that they barely saw when the door behind them opened, and some other dragons walked inside. Jocasta, Shiloh, Shiryu and Asher all had arrived just in time, as Aquarius soon spoke aloud:

"Initiate sparring training protocol Omega-045!"

As if on cue, the whole room started to change. Spyro and Cynder stood in the middle of the room, and they saw as parts of it started to move. Pieces of the floor shifted and moved, forming square shapes that acted as hills and walls. Soon, the room started to change itself, as the parts that had moved now became just like the Simulation Room that Spyro and Cynder had been prior. The part of the room changed, turning into dark soil with twisted vines growing on them. The ground felt uneasy on their paws, as it almost felt as if the ground was trying to suck them in, and it felt that it was itching on their scales somehow. Then there was the smell, acid and quite unpleasant. The parts of the room that had raised from the ground now turned into hills of the soil or mountains of these thorny bushes that looked like they could get tangle into.

Spyro and Cynder couldn't help but look in amazement at how the room had shifted. Still, the only part that shifted was the location where they would be fighting, as the rest of the room still looked like the high-tech training facility, including the metal ground where the other dragons were standing, as they watched.

"Cursed ground?" Hanson said with a raised eyebrow. "Kind of heavy for a training session, isn't it?"

"It even imitates the evil of the place." Cosmos mentioned, "Impressive, but also worrisome."

"They are in for a hard time." Randall said, and the other head agreed with him.

Even Shiloh and Shiryu were shrinking a little, as they too knew the danger of cursed ground, and so did Jocasta, who looked in worry.

"Alright." Said Allisandra, efficiently holding back her own uneasiness for standing in that ground, as she took a paw to the collar/necklace that she had on her neck, and placed a paw gently into it. Immediately, a glow came from the contraption, it started to move over the body of the dragoness, flowing over her skin until it covered great part of her skin. Soon, the light dissipated, breaking down in light particles that disappeared in the air.

Behind, the glow left an armor. A complete armor of silvery coloration with golden trimming. Guards on her forelegs and on her ankles and hind-paws, as well as in her shoulders. A covering on her hind body, including curved plates on her tail and a metal contraption on her tailblade that made it into a weapon. A great breastplate on her chest. A series of curved plates on the back of her neck, offering protection at the same time that they allowed for full freedom of movement. Completed with a helmet covering her head, looking as impressive as the rest of the armor that she was now wearing.

She looked back at the two dragons, as she removed a small thing that was lodge in a cavity in her necklace. It was small and it looked like some short of pen. She then held it in her paw, and it started to glow. In a flash of light, the small pen-like object had grown to a full-size battle lance, like the ones that the knights of the old days used.

The Knight was now equipped and ready for battle.

Spyro and Cynder both looked in amazement, as they saw the armor and weapon of the female to appear, seemingly out of nowhere.

"She brought out the armor and the lance." Hanson said as she looked at the scene developing. "She is taking it serious."

"She takes everything serious." Said Aquarius, "Either it is a training or a sparring, she will always take it serious. This was the kind of training that she received in the army."

"Alright." The female said to the two. "Attack me with the best of your skills. Do not worry; I'm able to handle it."

The two dragons shared a look, before the adopted fighting poses.

Spyro was the first to act, as he ran in direction to the female, who was ready and waiting. She looked at Spyro as he flamed up while charging at her, turning into a flaming meteor that charged into the armored female.

Everyone watched as Spyro charged, and Allisandra remains in place. Suddenly, she trusts her spear forward, creating a gust of wind. Spyro's flames are snuff out by the strong gust of wind, before the dragon himself was blast backwards by the powerful wind that was like the one of a hurricane.

"Spyro!" Cynder said; rushing forward as Spyro was blow back. Allisandra immediately trust her lance forward once more, creating another gust of wind. Cynder was quick to counter it with her own wind, which cancelled the wind generated by the spear. This allowed Cynder to rush forward, ready to attack. However, Allisandra simply dodged and produced a lightning from the tip of her spear, which connected to Cynderno not harmingher, but acting as a rope that grabbed her. This allowed the bigger female to haul Cynder and toss her back.

The black dragoness fell right by Spyro's side, and the purple dragon was quick to check on Cynder to see if she was okay. All under the watching eyes of the other purple dragons, including Adamaius, who still stood on the background, sitting on his haunches as he looked at the fight happening.

These are these the two legendary heroes? Hah! What a joke! Adamaius thought with a certain satisfaction, as he continued to watch the battle.

Cynder and Spyro now were on their feet again, and they were looking at the armored dragoness, as they looked like they were planning on something to try to approach. After a moment or two, they both charged.

It seemed that the two were once more trying to charge, and Allisandra was readying her lance to repeat what she had just done. However, Spyro surprised her as he dashed forward with a baffling speed.

Spyro had just used his time skills to slow down time, what in turn made himself appear to move at an amazing speed. He was able to move so fast that he surprised Allisandra, as in a moment he was right beneath her head. Spyro immediately tried to head-butt her on the chin, and this forced the dragoness to move aside to avoid his blow.

This was what Cynder needed, for she used this chance to dash forward. Once she was close enough, she released a powerful wail with her fear element, which forced the big dragoness back.

"Wow! Didt you guys just see it?" Kastiel said, and Hanson continued to look.

"So, it is true... She can also use more than one element." The Sage said as he looked forward, his expression was serious, but he was very interested in what was going on, along with everyone else on the group.

Back in the sparring, Cynder and Spyro soon were charging once more, while Allisandra had completely recovered from the fear blast, as if it didn't truly affected her. It was possible to see some runes on her armor glowing. She soon was ready to face the two dragons.

This time Spyro let out a blast of lightning while Cynder breathed a cloud of poison. The armored dragoness once more put her spear forward, and in doing so, she erected a wall of energy that blocked both attacks.

The two dragons put more pressure on the attack, and the Knight continued to block it effortlessly. After a few moments, she decided that it was enough. Therefore, with a push of her wings, she lifted herself from the ground, completely dodging their attacks.

The two dragons looked up in surprise, and they saw her coming at them with a speed and agility much bigger than they would expect with the heavy armor that she was wearing. Soon, she was behind them, and she swung her spear, hitting them with the blunt side of it.

The impact send both dragons crashing back, and some who were watching actually flinched as they saw this. Adamauis, however, had a quite pleased look on his face.

The two recovered quickly, and Allisandra was looking at them as her spear lighted up. The spear was getting surround by mists of cold wind, as frost formed over it. She was charging her spear up with the power of the ice element.

Spyro and Cyndder saw it, and they shared a look. They nodded at each other, as if it was a form of silent agreement. They stood were they were, as the dragoness looked back at them, her spear getting ready for an attack.

What are these two doing? Adamauis thought as he looked at the two dragons with a raised eyebrow. Where they just going to stand in there and let themselves be hit? Did they thought that they could somehow handle the blast?

His answer would soon come, for Allisandra then trust her spear forward, and it generated a blast of pure icy mist that flew to the two dragons.

"Now!" Spyro cried out, and Cynder, with a powerful flap of her wings and the power of her wind element, was able to generate a blast of wind downwards that caused them both to be blast upwards, out of the way of the mist right as it connected. The mist immediately created ice upon contact, generating a frozen icicle that took the entire area where the two dragons were just moments before, and it would have surely imprisoned the two dragons in ice if it actually caught them.

As the two dragons were airborne, Cynder once more called on the power of the wind element, and this allowed her to cause both herself and Spyro to be blast forward, as the power of the wind caused both of them to dive forward. Spyro curled into a ball and spun while covering himself in earth energy, allowing him to become a wrecking ball, as Terrador had done years before. Cynder, on her end, covered herself in poison, turning into a missile of virulence.

Allisandra was quick to react, as she immediately placed the lance in a defensive stance, as the two dragons connected with her.

The bigger dragon reeled back as the power of the impact forced her backwards, but she was able to resist as she parred the attacks. With a forceful movement, she was able to force the two dragons backward, but Spyro used this chance to materialize a ball of earth from his mouth, connected to it by a line of earth energy. This ball flew across the air, and connected solidly with the muzzle of the armored dragoness, causing a resounding impact, as she was force to move her head.

Cynder used this chance to produce a blast of Fear, which covered Allisandra and forced her backwards.

As the two dragons landed back on the ground, they looked at the dragoness, who was still standing strong. She looked intently at them, as she seemed unaffected. However, if someone looked very intently, they would notice the line of blood that was coming from her mouth on the point where the ball hit her, as well as the fact that, even though she had not been paralyze by the fear attack, her body was shaking very slightly.

"Wow!" Soren said, "Did you guys see that!?"

"They actually forced Al Back!" The other head said, sounding just as amazed as they both looked at that. "They actually forced her back!"

"This is not easy." Cosmos said, looking intently at the scene that developed.

"Well, that should be no surprise." Hanson said, "After all, they are the two legendary dragons."

"And they are using high-level techniques!" The Lover said, as he looked at the scene before him, "And they wanted to convince us that they knew nothing."

"Karera wa totemo subarashīdesu!" Shiryu said, and he sounded very excited as he spoke that. Some of the ones who heard it had no idea of what it meant, but it was easy to say that he was saying that because he was too excited, if the expression of fan-happiness on his face was any indication.

Adamaius was hearing this from the ones behind him, at the same time that he was seeing the two dragons starting to turn the tables on the Knight.

"Enough of this." The Burglar said, as he got up and soon he was charging. As he did, his body changed, as his muscles bulged out and his claws and horns became sharper, and even some spikes protruded from his shoulders and from his elbows and knees. The dragon rushed forward, as he had both eyes on the younger purple dragon.

As he jumped and went for the purple dragon, Cynder immediately noticed.

"Spyro!" Cynder said, as she immediately used wind to propel herself forwards and tackle at Adamauis while he was going for Spyro. This caused both of the older purple dragon and the younger black dragoness to stumble down as they got to each other.

"Cynder!" Spyro said, and he tried to go to them, but he stopped in the moment a bolt of lightning passed very close to his face, causing him to stumble backwards and look back at the armored dragoness, who had her lance raised and crackling with lightning, as she had a serious expression on her face.

"Don't let your focus weaver." She said to Spyro, sounding like a teacher giving an important direction to a student. Spyro knew what this meant, as he would not be able to go for Cynder, and would be stuck with Allisandra. Meanwhile, Cynder and Adamaius had got rid of each other and now stood at some feet from each other, as they looked fiercely at each other, and Cynder could swear that the purple dragon was not as muscled as he was just a few moments ago, and that he didn't had this much spikes on his body.

"I wanted to go for the legendary hero." Adamauis said, almost hissed, to the black dragoness. "But, since I'm stuck with his girlfriend, I guess I'll be playing along."

Cynder took this as a provocation, and she soon was ready.

"Bring it on."

As the dragons were fighting in the Danger Room, the many dragons and other creatures that were on the television room saw it all through the television in there, and they seemed to be quite pump up about what they were seeing.

"This is so awesome!"

"Yeah, a battle between the Knight and the Burglar and the legendary Spyro and Cynder!"

"Yeah, I hope Adamaius don't kill Cynder, though."

"You kidding? She will hand him his own tail! All the while Spyro defeats Allisandra!"

"I'm not sure." Someone else said, "They looked like they were having problems with Allisandra just now."

"Maybe they are out of practice?"

"They will recover soon. They are Spyro and Cynder! They have to win!"

"I'm not sure. Allisandra has more practice and Adamaius is an actual killer."

"Oh, you wanna bet?"

"Eight thousand credits on Spyro and Cynder!"

"What do you think, Legoshi?"

"I think I would be more comfortable if I was on the ground."

The battle continued, with Spyro sparring with Allisandra while Adamaius was fighting with Cynder.

The Burglar showed great skill in fighting, as he looked as he had a lot of practice in sparring, as he was able to dodge the attacks of the black dragoness while attacking with his own blows. Cynder noticed that his claws seemed bigger and sharper, and she was sure that the blows of the claws would be able to hurt her seriously if they actually managed to land. Luckily, she was able to dodge all the blows.

However, as the battle continued, Cynder couldn't help but have a curious feeling as she sparred with the older purple dragon. It was as if he was not really putting his all in the fight. It was as if he was just teasing her as he easily dodged her blows and then gave mocking blows that she would be able to dodge easily and not putting effort in the battle that they were having.

It was as if he was toying with her.

"Is that all that the legendary Cynder can do?" The purple dragon said as he looked at the black dragoness. Cynder's answer was a swing of her tail, aiming right for the head of the purple dragon. However, the head of the purple dragon became black and immaterial, as a shadow, and Cynder's tail just phased right through it before it once more was back to normal.

Cynder blinked, and she barely had time to reach as the purple dragon merely raised his paw and backhanded Cynder in the face, sending her to the ground a few feet away.

It was clear that Adamaius could pack quite the force in his blows, and that he surely had no qualms about hitting a female.

As Cynder got up, Adamaius looked at her, the black dragoness was once more getting in fighting position, and she looked as if she was getting ready to face the older purple dragon.

Adamaius looked at her as he took a step back, and Cynder even thought that he was going to retreat. However, the purple dragon instead started to walk around her, almost as if he was stalking her. Cynder knew at the same moment that he was up to something, and so, she made sure to keep her eyes on him at all times.

However, as she kept her eyes on him, she blinked.

There was more than one purple dragon there.

As Adamauis continued to walk, it was as if he was duplicating himself, and now there were more adamaius walking in circles around her.

What is going on!?

Cynder looked around, and she saw the ghostly purple dragons walking around her, all of them looking at her the way a predator looks at a prey.

Cynder decided that she should act, and she aimed at one of the dragons before she let out a goblet of poison at him. The poison passed right through and landed in the ground, before being absorb by the soil.

As Cynder attacked, one of the dragons came forward and smacked her hard on the side of the body. Cynder cried out at the sudden hit, and before she could react, the dragon quickly returned and continued to walk around her, blending with the other ones.

Meanwhile, the other purple dragons looked, and Hanson, in particular, looked at what was developing.

"Adamaius is using the Shadow Ghost Assaulters." The Sage said, as he looked at the scene developing. "He truly wants to take the battle seriously."

Cynder continued trying to attack the dragons that were surrounding her, but her attacks phased out through the shadow clones, while the real Adamaius went forward and attacked her before moving back at the line and blending with the clones once more.

It was clear that the Burglar was the one who was having the advantage.

"So, the legendary Terror of the Skies can be dominated so easily?" Adamaius asked, and Cynder flinched as she was call that. However, it was nothing compared to the blow that came next as the purple dragon attacked her once more.

"You can't even use the shadow element to find out the real me?" The purple dragon asked among his clones. Since the clones were able to emit sound, it seemed that his voice came from all sides at the same time, not allowing the black dragoness to figure out his location. "You, who have the colors of a shadow dragon, and is said to have dominated the shadow element as it was a part of your own nature?"

Cynder tried to attack with wind, but it passed through the clones without causing any effect.

After this, Adamaius once more moved out, and this time, he grabbed Cynder by the wrist and now had a strong grip on her.

The dragoness was pinned to the ground, with the Burglar standing above her, as he looked at the black dragoness.

He even ventured to look to the side.

"Looks like your boyfriend is not very comfortable either."

It was truth, as Spyro was even trying to fight Allisandra, but it seemed that the purple dragoness in armor was being able to overwhelm him and push him back. Every attack that he tried to do against her was easily deflect or nullified with the lance, which had its own charge of elemental power. He was having problems and that much was clear to whoever looked.

"To think that Spyro and Cynder can be that easily vanquished by two dragons." The Burglar said, looking down at the purple dragoness who he showed that he had already dominated pretty easily. "And you two are said to be the most powerful dragons who have ever lived... What a joke."

Cynder struggled, and it seemed that she would not be able to get out of the situation. However, she was not defeated yet.

Focusing her shadow element, the dragoness was able to turn into a shadow, diving in her own shadow and slipping out of Adamaius' grasp.

"Oh, now you won't!" The purple dragon said, immediately turning into a shadow as well and chasing after her. The two shadows passed through the ground, and soon, both of them were going in direction to the other two purple dragons. Cynder was in the lead going straight to Spyro, while Adamaius was chasing right after her.

Spyro had just been push back by Allisandra, and he was panting as fighting her was proving to be quite a challenge to him.

At this moment, Cynder suddenly materialized by his side, emerging like a shadow from the ground and startling Spyro slightly, before he saw that it was she. However, before Cynder told him that she came to help, something started to happen.

The ground suddenly became pitch black as a shadow grew over the whole place, covering the ground beneath their feet and making it feel weirder than it was already feeling. Suddenly, it felt as if the ground was shifting and moving underneath their paws, as it almost felt as if the ground had suddenly become a very strange living entity.

As they looked down, Adamaius was emerging from his own shadow a few feet away from them. His own shadow had stretched a great deal, and covered all of the ground underneath the two dragons, and now, the Burglar was starting to do his stuff.

Good thing that it is a cursed ground. Adamaius thought to himself. Cursed ground has the advantage of increasing the power of certain elements, like Shadow. Everyone knows that. Well, everyone except for the two 'legendary heroes', it seems.

The increase of power given by the cursed terrain was allowing Adamaius to use the power of his shadow element more easily, as it was considerably easier to do what he was doing now in the cursed terrain.

As Adamaius was completely out of his shadow, and standing on his hind legs, with his tail helping him balance, he was using his front paws/hands to guide his shadow. In answer, the shadow that covered the entire ground was producing tendrils and fingers of shadow, which were now attacking and aiming at the purple dragon and the black dragoness.

Spyro and Cynder even tried to fight back, but the shadows empowered by the cursed land proved to be too strong for them, as tendrils wrapped around them, tying their limbs and tying their mouths shut. Next, fingers made out of shadow materialized around them, and closed around them, like the claws of a dark creature.

"Oh, boy..." Hanson said as he, along with all of the others, looked at the development that was going on before them. Some of them looked quite worried with what they were seeing, as it was clear that Adamaius was taking this serious. Maybe a bit too serious, as the Burglar was using a lot of effort into subduing the two dragons, and he seemed to be enjoying it a tad bit too much.

"Hah! Now get out of this, legendary heroes!" Adamaius said, as he looked quite satisfied for having caught these two.

"Okay, I guess this is enough." Allisandra said, and she looked at the other dragon. "Adamaius, you can let them go n-"

She was saying, but stopped as she suddenly perked, and looked at the mass of shadow that now was imprisoning the two dragons. There was something happening, as the shadows wavered and undulated as if in answer to some kind of power on the inside of it.

"What!?" Adamaius said, as he too could feel the interference with the shadows, which almost seemed to be dissipating, as something was shining on the inside.

It was possible to see the two dragons on the inside. They had their eyes closed, and they both were glowing in a purplish white light. Not only that, but there was also a line of the same light that seemed to be like a cord that was connecting the two dragons to each other.

"Is that what I'm thinking?" Cedric asked, and it Cosmos nodded as he confirmed:

"Yes. It is convexity." The Hermit said, "More precisely, this is Light Eather."

Adamaius blinked at this, and he even tried to reinforce the shadows around them, but it was useless, as the power emanating from the two dragons seemed to pulsate, as the energy seemed to be dissipating the very energy that formed the shadows.

"They are resonating." Hanson said, as he analyzed what he was seeing. "Fascinating."

Adamaius was still trying to use his shadows to contain the two dragons, but it was like trying to hold back a whole river with the hands. The intensity of the pulsating of the energy was increasing more and more by the second. So much, in fact, that the dragons around were starting to get worried...

"Protect yourselves!" Allisandra suddenly cried, as she placed her lance in front of herself, creating a barrier. Meanwhile, the greatest of the dragons, Maximus, the Colossus, stood in front of all of the other dragons, as if he was shielding them with his own body.

And it was right on time, for in that moment, the glow between the Spyro and Cynder intensified, and released as a powerful wave of energy.

It hit Allisandra's defense, and actually managed to put a crack on it.

Adamaius, upon seeing that was of energy coming his direction, immediately rose a wall of shadows, but it fell like a paper wall as the wave of energy swept through it.

"Arrrrgh!" The Burglar cried out, as he was blast back by the force of the wave.

Meanwhile, Maximus had to firm his paws on the ground as the energy hit his body. He even flinched slightly, but he was able to resist. All of the other dragons took cover behind him, as the big dragon shielded them form the powerful impact that came from the wave of energy.

After a few seconds, the energy finally subsided, and Spyro and Cynder remained in place floating, as the glow coming from them subsided. Soon, the two dragons landed on the ground once more, both of them panting slightly, and feeling a little dizzy, as the attack had taken a lot of their energy.

The two dragons had the chance to look around, and they saw that their attack had done a number around.

The simulated area around them seemed like the aftermath of a hurricane or another kind of disaster. The bushes of thorns were broken and scattered, and the soil was somewhat charred by the effects of the powerful fury attack that they used.

The dragons looked around, and they saw that Allisandra's defense was seriously cracked, however, it had managed to resist, and the dragoness herself was not harm as she finally took the defense down. The other dragons also were unharmed, as Maximus had defended all of them with his body, and some of them were already peeking from behind the huge dragon, looking on the two dragons.

Adamaius was the only one that seemed to have taken the impact on himself, as he had been blow so far that he slammed into one of the walls. He groaned as he shakenly got up, he seemed like he had been beaten, but it didn't seemed that he had suffered any serious or lasting injury.

A silence followed on the room for a while, before Aquarius spoke:

"Well, I guess that this was enough."

Everyone looked at him, as he looked around.

"It seems that this was enough for all of us to see just how strong Spyro and Cynder were."

"Agree." Allisandra said, as she looked at them. "I have to say, I'm quite impressed. However, I should already expect something truly outstanding coming from the two legendary dragons."

"That was so awesome!" Shiryu said, as he floated out from behind Maximus, looking quite pumped up. "They are as strong as the legends say!"

"I guess you can assume that." Cosmos said, and the other dragons agreed.

"Indeed, if what we just saw is of any indication then the legends of their power holds truth on itself." Hanson said.

"Yeah, I guess we can then assume that their legend is true." Cedric said, and he added, "In every aspect."

Adamaius was getting up, and he froze as he heard that.

No...

"Totally!" Randall said, "If they can do something like that then they surely can do everything that the legend says."

Soren also spoke, agreeing with his brother:

"Yeah, I guess we can assume that the entire legend of the great Spyro is true."

NO!

Adamaius eyes widened, and smoke billowed out of his mouth as he turned his head to look at the two dragons. Before anyone could react, Adamaius roared, and something more than sound came out of his mouth.

A ball of pure magma came out of his mouth, whistling as it flew across the air; growing as it flew, until it was so big that it was half of the size of an adult dragon on diameter. It was flying right at Spyro and Cynder.

"Look out!" Jocasta cried, and Spyro and Cynder both looked in horror, as they saw that meteor of magma flying at their direction.

They didn't had time to react due to the surprise, but one of the other purple dragons had the time to react.

Maximus was able to move with a surprising speed for someone his size, and he was able to arrive right on time to block the attack that was coming.

Using his own body.

As the meteor of magma connected with Maximus' side, it exploded in a big blast of fire smoke and molten rock. Many of the ones who were around diverged their look instinctively in answer to the strength of the explosion.

However, as the smoke cleared, it was possible to see that Maximus was not hurt. There was a charred mark of where the meteor hit him, but there was no burn on the scales and no wounds of any kind.

And neither was on the two dragons that he protected.

"Are you two okay?" The huge dragon asked to the smaller ones, and the two dragons nodded back at the big dragon.

Then, a loud screeching roar called everyone's attention, as Adamaius was rushing in direction to the place where he knew that the other dragons were. His face was a mask of fury, as his horns and spikes grew even more, he looked like a rabbit animal, and he certainly sounded like one as he made that sound filled with rage and fury.

However, he was not able to arrive to the two dragons, for immediately three other dragons went to him.

Aquarius placed a paw on his waist, right on the intersection between the base of his tail and his lower back. Allisandra had moved and placed the body of her lance on the back of his neck, forcing his head into the ground and preventing him from raising it again. Hanson also moved forward, however, he did not had direct contact with the purple dragon, as he instead generated strings of lightning from the tip of his claws, and each one wrapped around one of Adamaius limbs, forcing them open and preventing the purple dragon from properly moving them.

They continued to hold down the purple dragon, and all of them were urging Adamaius to calm down and control himself.

The purple dragon continued to squirm in their grasp, but he was clearly unable to free himself, although his attempts were becoming fiercer, and he continued to screech and to roar, really sounding like an animal being hold down. As they looked at how the purple dragon squirmed, some wondered if it was a matter of time before he started to hurt himself in his attempts to free himself from their grip.

"Adam...?" A voice said, and it seemed to reach the Burglar.

The purple dragon looked over, to see the familiar face of Shiryu. The eastern purple dragon looked at him with a scared expression; there was also some sadness in his eyes as he looked at Adamaius.

Adamaius blinked, as it was as if a fog was clearing on his head.

Soon, he relaxed, and as he did, he groaned, as his body shifted. His muscles shrunk and his horns diminished. Even the spikes that had sprouted from his shoulders shrunk back into his shoulders and other parts, disappearing from sight. His claws also shrunk, and they became less sharp, now looking like normal claws.

Once they were sure that Adamaius had managed to get calmer, the others let him go, however, Captain Aquarius and Allisandra both were talking down on him, criticizing him for the behavior that he just displayed.

The Burglar looked down; as he just allowed the criticizing words come. However, he neither looked up at the dragons who were talking to him, nor tried to say anything to try to defend or justify his actions.

As Adamaius received the talking down, Spyro and Cynder were able to recover from the scare that they just had, and both of them were really fine, mostly thanks to Maximus, who had defended them and suffered no injuries.

That was something that actually surprised the two young dragons, for they saw the type of attack that it was and the kind of explosion that it generated. They expected the attack to produce some serious damage on anyone; however, Maximus showed that he had absolutely no injuries, although he confessed to them that the area "itched a bit".

As the two dragons relaxed and the scare passed, they soon were being compliment for their skills by the other purple dragons, who all were surrounding them now.

"I have to say, you have some great skills in elemental domination." Hanson said to them, "It greatly contrasts what you said about not knowing any advanced elemental techniques."

"And we don't." Spyro said, looking up at them. "All that we did were the basic things you can do with the elements."

"No it wasn't." Kastiel said, looking at him, "I've made a lot of elemental training, and these things that you guys did were pretty advanced, including the meteor hammer of earth and the shadow dive. This is not ordinary elemental magic."

"Really?" Spyro thought, as he looked around, and he seemed to be genuinely surprised. "I mean, I just did what I learned with the Guardians, I just assumed that they were basic and that all dragons knew how to do them."

"Including the Meteor Impact that you did with Cynder's help?" Hanson asked him, "Didn't the Earth Guardian of the time told you how advanced it was when he taught it to you?"

Spyro looked at him for a few moments, and he got it.

"Oh, you meant the earth spinning thing?" Spyro said, as he looked at the Star of the Sage. "Well, actually, Terrador didn't really taught me how to do that. I saw him doing it one time during the war, and I decided to try it myself. Honestly, I was surprised that it worked."

"You managed to do something like that after seeing it being done once?" Allisandra asked, "Now that is quite impressive."

"I never thought it was..." Spyro admitted,

"Your domain of the shadow element was also quite impressive, young Cynder." Cosmos said, "Even more if you take in account the fact that you didn't truly was taught by any master of the specific element."

Cynder looked at him, and she shrugged.

"Well, I didn't really needed to be taught. I mean, I think the knowledge of how to do that was just... printed on my mind."

"Sugoi!" Said a sudden voice, as Shiryu suddenly came into sight, as he floated above the two dragons, startling them, who had never seen a dragon like that before. "Spyro-san! Cynderu-san! Sugoia! You two are so cool!" He said, as he snaked into the air around the two dragons.

"And you two look so much younger than in the story! Like, around Asher's age! This makes this even more amazing! This is so cool! You heard all that there was to hear about you two! Is it true that you two exploded a mountain once?"

"Shiryu, please." Cosmos said, "Don't overwhelm the two."

As they looked at the strange dragon, Spyro and Cynder couldn't help but feel transfixed by this strange dragon.

He was elongated and had no wings, what actually made him look like a serpent with legs. Also, there was the fact that the dragon was in the air even though he didn't had wings, and it was something impressive for the two dragons. Also, they couldn't help but notice that the dragon had hair, or something of the like, while all of the dragons that they meet until now (which were actually not many), had only scales.

"Wha... Who...?"

"Spyro, Cynder." Aquarius said, "I'd like to introduce you to the rest of the purple dragons of the prophecy. This one is Shiryu, the Star of the Jester." He said, as he gestured to the dragon that was floating, "Shiryu was born in the far lands of the East, and he is one of the dragons that live in there. As you can see, he is quite different from us, the dragons of the West, but he is a dragon nonetheless, and he was the only purple dragon born in the East."

"Yeah, I'm really special!" The Jester said, looking at the two dragons, who were still interested on him, but were polite enough to know that they should not stare.

"Also." Aquarius continued. "Spyro, I believe you've already met Jocasta, the Star of the Priestess, and Shiloh, the Star of the Muse."

Indeed, Spyro had already met the older female and the young female hatchling, as they both complimented him and mentioned how nice it was to see him again.

"And also." Aquarius said, gesturing to another dragon who was present, one that was around the same age as Spyro and Cynder, and was one that Spyro himself haven't met yet. "I'd like to introduce you all to Asher Silverwing. He is the purple dragon of our time."

"You could practically say that I'm the leader of the Stars of Destiny." The dragon, Asher, said to the two dragons. "Actually, I came up with the name myself. So, you are the famous Spyro and Cynder, huh?"

He looked the two dragons, as if he was evaluating them.

"Well, quite different from what I expected, but you guys surely showed that you can put up a fight. That is good to know. You guys are truly as awesome as they say, nearly as much as myself." He said, and he did sounded like he was bragging.

Spyro and Cynder shared a look among themselves, as they were quite unsure of what to think of this new dragon that was just introduce to them. Cynder, however, couldn't help to feel that there was something to him...

"Well, since we all were introduced already, and that you two already showed how valuable you will be to our little group, I guess that we should try and relax a bit." Asher said, as he looked at the two. "I just bought a new game and I'm dying to test it, so, what about you two come with me to play a little?"

As the dragon spoke this, he pulled out something that neither of the two dragons recognized. However, they thought that they got the idea that the dragon was inviting them for some kind of fun.

"Well... we don't really know how to play with... this thing." Spyro said, and Asher chuckled.

"Yeah, I imagined, well, don't worry, I'll teach you guys all you need to know. I taught Shiryu and Shiloh." He said, and the two dragons nodded, as they confirmed what the dragon was telling them.

"Asher, are you going to skip training again?" Allisandra said, and Asher looked up at the Knight.

"What, I'm just helping them take a break." He said, as if on his defense. "I mean, they look like they deserve it after what they had just been through. Also, I just bought this new game and I wanted to have a chance at playing it before I have to focus on training. So, can I have a break?"

Allisandra seemed about to complain, when Cosmos stepped forward.

"Sounds reasonable." The elder purple dragon said, casing the others to look at him. "After all, the young legendary dragons need some rest and winding up, and Asher can properly show them how to do it in this modern age, since he was born in it, ain't that right?"

There was a silence, and Allisandra sighed as she somehow agreed with the elder, and she said to Asher that he was "excused from training", but that they were going to compensate it later, to which the teenager agreed with a sly smile.

Asher was already talking about the "video games" to Spyro and Cynder, giving them basic lectures on the things, as he and the two dragons walked out of the training room. As the doors closed, the dragons left in the danger room talked among themselves, mostly the adults.

"They really are amazing, aren't they?" Cedric said, and he sighed, "If Spyro was older..."

"Indeed, their skills are truly worthy of the legends attributed to them, as far as we were all able to observe." Hanson said, "The final movement that they used was particularly interesting. Of course, as a purple dragon, it would be expected for Spyro to be able to access the Eather element and to use it as a form of attacking. However I did not expected for Cynder to be able to use it as well, and neither that they would be able to use a form of resonance as to increase each other's power."

"Never saw anything like that before." Allisandra said, "I saw some dragons being able to combine their power, but never anything like what these two have done."

"Maybe it is something regarding users of the Eather element?" Kastiel offered.

"Could be." Hanson agreed, "After all, there were never two purple dragons at the same time before, and so, there is no record of the results of two users of the Eather element working together."

"So, think we could do that as well if we tried?" Maximus asked.

"Maybe..." Hanson said, "Maybe we need to investigate it better, maybe make an experiment or two..."

As the older dragons continued to talk among themselves of the skills of the legendary dragons, Shiloh and Shiryu were on a corner, talking to each other on how cool Spyro and Cynder were. Meanwhile, Adamaius was on a corner, not talking to anyone and actually looking like he wanted to be left alone...

"That... was... awesome!" Kindle said as everyone in the room had just witnessed the amazing battle that had developed between the two legendary dragons and the Knight and the Burglar.

Some of them actually got worried when they saw the Burglar using the Shadow element to grab them like that. Some even thought that they could actually be in danger back them. However, all of them got surprised when they were able to free themselves with nothing more than sheer power, in an awesome display of why they were such legendary individuals.

Many of them were still talking among themselves on how amazing it was. Some of them, who had placed bets, now were asking the wages to be paid. Some of them just couldn't help but be glad that they had the chance of witnessing something like that, even though they were not going to be able to tell others that they saw it, at least not for now.

"That was awesome! It was so awesome! Wasn't it awesome, Legoshi?" Kindle asked to the wolf that she still carried in her arms. This one looked up at her.

"Yeah, it truly was." Legoshi said, as he looked up at her. "Could you put me down now? Please?"

And this concludes this chapter.

Sorry if it feels rushed or not on the same mode of the previous ones, is that I've been on a different vibe lately.

Also, this chapter has a cameo of Legoshi the gray wolf, from Beastars.

Read and review, and please, no flaming.
