Chapter 10: Meeting the Queen and King of Hearts
Seeing his way to the King and Queen of Heart's Castle, Blitz walks through the entryway and down what looks like a large hedge maze. Blitz walks around in different directions and some of them are dead ends. As he reaches another part of the hedge maze, a big blotch of red pain flies over the hedge wall and lands on the ground in front of him.
"What is that?" Blitz asks himself, curiously.
He then climbs on the wall of the hedge maze to see where the red paint is coming from. He climbs up and to his surprise, he sees three Succubi dressed in, white clothes and black markings. One has the #3 and three clubs in one outfit. The second has the letter A and a spade. The last one has two spades with the #2. They all have paint brushes and are painting the roses in a rose bush red, while some of them remain white.
Blitz climbs back down and wonders, "What are they up to?"
Blitz then walks down the maze as he is trying to find a way to the other side. Luckily, he's able to find an entry way out of the maze and to the garden where the Succubi are. So he approaches them.
Once he approaches them Blitz calls out "Hey. What are you three up to? And why are you painting the rose bushes red?"
The three stop what they're doing and turn to see Blitz. To his surprise, the three look like the Succubi who are part of Verosika's group. Ace, Coco, and Apple.
"Hmm, I should be asking you a question. Who are you, and where do you come from?" The #3 Club Succubi, resembles Coco questions.
Blitz sternly asks, "Hey! I asked first."
"Well, if you like to know. We're trying to avoid getting ourselves in deep shit for the mess Ace got us into." #2 Spade resembles Apple answers.
Ace Spade sternly says, "It's not my fault. That stupid gardener gave us the wrong seeds."
"What exactly happened?" Blitz asks.
"Well, we're supposed to plant red roses, but somehow we got the wrong seeds and they grow into white roses," #3 Club explains
Then #2 Spades, "Now we need to paint over them before the King and Queen finds out. If they find out we'll be punished."
"All that for a simple error. What is the ruler going to cut off your heads?" Blitz asks, rather shocked.
Ace Spade says, "It's not that kind of punishment. Although, that is one of her punishments, but for this, it won't be the case".
"What will that be?" Blitz asks.
"Probably sexual torture," #3 Club says.
"And it might involve with special toys," #2 Spades says.
Then Ace Spade says, "And it will involve sex."
Blitz actually blushes and looks stunned.
After a few moments, Blitz says, "On second thought, forget I ask."
Suddenly, they hear the sound of marching and are heading in their direction.
"What's that?" Blitz asks.
"It's the King and Queen!" #3 Club panics.
Then Ace Spade calls out, "Quick on ground!"
The three lay with their faces on the ground. Blitz is rather confused as to why they're doing that, even if it's royalty. However, because this place is kind of different from Hell, Blitz simply lays on the ground beside them. He continued to hear marching sounds as they approached him and the Succubus. Blitz looks up and to his surprise, he sees the different forces of Succubi and Incubi wearing white color clothes and on them have card symbols like hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades, along with different numbers. Soon enough, all the creatures come to a stop. Succubi and Incubi make two rows in a line and make an opening between them.
Blitz decides to look up and much to his shock, he sees Moxxie Rabbit along with someone else. The being actually has a strong resemblance to Loona. She seems similar, but with some differences. The crop top she's wearing is red and white color and the strings make a diamond shape. Her dark gray fingerless gloves also have wristband patterns: A red heart, black spade, red diamond, and black club. She also wears the dark gray toeless stockings, and they also have the same patterns as the gloves. She is also wearing the black shorts, but instead of the crescent moon, she has a red diamond on the side.
Just then, Moxie Rabbit blows the trumpet. Then finishes.
Moxie Rabbit turns to Loona and fakes coughs, "Knave, you cue."
"Yeah yeah. I know," The Knave, who looks like Loona says, is not very interested.
Then announces, "Your highness. Your grace. And yada yada yada. Your royal majesty, The Queen of Hearts."
Soon, there's applause as the female rulers of Wonderland make their entrance. Curious, Blitz decides to look up to see who one of the rulers is. To his shock, the Queen of Hearts looks like Verosika Mayday, Pop Star, and well, Blitz's ex-girlfriend. She seems the same including her makeup, exactly she's wearing a different outfit than her original ones.
The queen resembles Verosika is wearing a strapless royal dress that does somewhat past her hips like a miniskirt. The dress is white and red decorated with a red heart and black club on her chest, and black spade and red diamond on the skirt. She has these black thigh-high heels with black heels and red heart motif and three diamond shaped cutouts on the side, and wears white gloves and a black fur jacket.
Blitz groans and lowers his head to the ground, and in his thought, "Why does the Queen of Hearts is supposed to look like that fuckin whore. I have to wonder who the king is."
Suddenly, someone says, "And just who are you supposed to be?"
Blitz looks up to see the Queen of Hearts standing before them.
"Well, aren't you going to tell me who you are, or am I going to resort to other means," The Queen of Hearts says with an evil grin.
Blitz quickly stands up and says, "Uh yeah. I'm Blitz, the 'o' is silent, and uh, well, I was just in the neighborhood and I was just about to leave."
"Hmm," The Queen says, curious.
Then notice the pots of paint with brushes in there.
"What are these pots of paint doing here?" The Queen firmly asks.
"Heck if I know. I just came here," Blitz answers, shrugging his shoulders.
"Hmm, I'm not buying it," The queen says.
Then turns to the others, "You three get up." which the three do, looking rather nervous.
Then the Queen demands, "Come how you haven't planted the roses in the courtyard yet?" Then looks around, "And where is the King at? He's supposed to be playing croquet with me and the duchess."
Soon, the Queen looks to notice some of the roses on the bushes are red and some are white. She then looks down on the bucket of paint and bushes.
Soon, she puts all the pieces together and is not happy at the slightest, "Oh, I see. You somehow fucked up and planted white roses instead of red. And you thought you could try to fool me otherwise."
Then demands, "Take thee three to the dungeon for some torture and off with their heads!"
The three panic and hide behind Blitz.
Blitz decides to stand to protect them, "Hey, you can't be fuckin serious?! You really want to punish them for a bunch of stupid roses or for a simple mistake?! I'm not going to let you do that for a bunch of flowers."
Then turns to the three, "Let's make a run for it!"
With that, the three decide to run away from the queen
Verosika turns to the Knave, "What are you waiting for, capture them!"
The Knave led the Succubus Card down the path of the garden. Blitz takes the lead and tries to lose them in the maze, but so far the group is catching up with them. Soon enough, they run to Blitz standing before them.
Blitz points left, "They went that way."
Then the Hellhound Knave and the group continue the chase.
Blitz turns to the bushes and whispers, "Alright, the coast is clear. Now hurry out before they come back."
The three hurry out and bow to express their thanks. Then begin to make their escape. Blitz then decides to run in a different direction that is away from the Knave and the cards. Meanwhile, the Knave and the group of demon cards end up stopping to see they end up back where they started.
"What the fuck are you doing back here?!" The Queen demands.
"We don't know, that guy told us he came here," The Knave says.
Then the Queen angrily says, "Well, it looks like you've been tricked by him."
Then shouts, "Go find him!"
The group salutes and begins the search.
A little time has gone by, and Blitz is now on the different side of the castle, and hopefully away from the Queen that resembles the Pop Star Succubus. From the looks of it, he seems to find himself in what looks like the backyard of the castle.
"Shit, that Queen is fuckin crazy. Getting mad over rose bushes," Blitz says.
He sighs, "I need to find another way out of this place, or at least ask someone for help."
Blitz then looks around to see if he can find another way through the maze and out of the backyard. However, he is astonished to see how beautiful and large the garden is. There is a large round glass table with chairs next to it, the yard is also full of rose bushes, and a large field that has sticks on the ground. There's also a fountain and a few figures.
"This place isn't half bad. It looks almost as nice as Stolas' place," Blitz says to himself.
He then looks around, "I just need to get out of here and not expect any more surprises."
Blitz then begins to look around and try to think of a plan. Unknown to Blitz, someone has spotted him from the balcony of the castle close by, it gently lifts his black claw on the railing and emits a bit of red aura around it. It sparks the secret stalker's curiosity, and descends to the garden. It gently places it's black tree towed owl claw on the ground and walks towards Blitz without making a sound. Once close to Blitz, the being reaches his long black claws towards Blitz.
Blitz continues to look around and says, "Where am I supposed to go? That maze is too big and I'll end up facing the queen if I don't have the directions, and well…" but is cut off when a pair of claw claws covers his eyes.
"What the…" Blitz exclaims in shock, but one of the hands removes from Blitz's eyes and covers his mouth, silencing him.
"Shhh, do not be afraid. I'm not going to hurt you," hearing the voice makes Blitz gasps in shock.
And comes to think, "That… that voice…"
The two arms remove themselves from Blitz's eyes and mouth, making Blitz turn around to see who it is.
Who Blitz sees is a familiar owl demon that has two pairs of red eyes, blue and dark blue color feathers with white and gray accents, blue feather tail with dark blue tips, a lighter gray-blue puff of fur on the chest, a long neck and a white heart shaped face. He also has black arms and legs, tipped with owl claws. He is wearing a dark red tunic decorated with bright red hearts and diamonds, and black clubs and spades with six buttons, black trousers, a blush burgundy surcoat with white fur collar, and puffed black and white striped sleeves. He is also wearing a feather top hat that has a heart on the side with a gold crown at front.
Blitz quietly says to himself, "Stolas?"
"Hello. What's a little creature like you doing in the castle garden?" The Stolas duplicate asks calmly.
Blitz is rather shocked to see Stolas for various reasons, but quickly calms himself down and looks at him to give an answer.
"Uh yeah. I kind of got myself lost and well, actually I've been kind of lost in this world called wonderland practically all day or something. Anyway, my name is Blitz and I was hoping you can give me some directions, if possible," Blitz says, trying to remain calm.
"Hmm, lost you say. I'm sorry to hear it. Allow me to introduce myself, I am the King of Hearts. It's a pleasure to meet you, Blitz," The Stolas look alike answers.
A little surprised, Blitz asks, "You're the king of this place?"
"Of course I am, darling," The King answers, but also gives off a bit of a lustful tone.
He then kneels down to Blitz and places his black claw under Blitz's chin and lifts it up a bit for Blitz to face him. Then wrap his black arm around Blitz's waist and pull him close to him.
"Now you said that you're lost. Where exactly are you trying to go?" The King asks.
"Well, it's kind of hard to explain, but I'm not exactly from here. So I'm trying to find my way out of this place called Wonderland, and I'll be able to make my way back from there," Blitz explains.
"I see," The King says.
He rubs his hand on Blitz's cheek and asks, "But, are you sure you don't want to stick around here a little longer? I was just about to go play some croquet with the queen and the duchess."
"Well, I… uh…" Blitz says, and steps back nervously.
Then continues, "Um look, I've never actually played croquet before, and I kind of made the queen mad, and it's only because of one simple mistake the three made, and helped them get away."
Hearing this makes the King chuckle and says, "Oh my. Sounds like you had quite an ordeal. Sadly, the queen has a bit of a short temper, and well, blows things out of proportion."
"'Blow things out of proportion,'' you say. I don't see how torture and cutting someone's head off is 'blowing things out of proportion," Blitz says, rolling his eyes.
"I'm sure once she calms down, she'll be more, um, agreeable," The King says.
"I'm having trouble believing that," Blitz says.
He then stands up and says, "I'm sure she'll be calmer once we meet her, and I'll convince her not to have your head taken off."
"I'll believe it when I see it," Blitz mutters, annoyed.
"Your majesty," Moxie Rabbit's voice comes up.
Blitz and the King turn his head to see Moxxie Rabbit approaching them.
"Hello Moxxie, how are you doing on this wonderland day," The King asks.
"Yes. The day is wonderful, but the queen sent me to find you. The croquet game is about to begin and you know she doesn't like to be kept waiting," Moxie Rabbit says.
"Of course," The King says.
Then turns to Blitz, "Well, I must be off now. You are welcome to join us if you wish."
"Uh, but the queen will be there and I'm not very keen about seeing her again," Blitz says.
Just then, the King leans to Blitz and begins to rub his left horn, Then places his claw under his chin and lifts it up.
"Please Blitzy, I'll be sure the queen won't hurt your little head of yours," The King says.
Blitz blushes a bit and reluctantly answers, "Uh, okay."
"Hmm, good," The King says, and stands back up.
He then places his hand on Blitz's shoulder, "Now, let us be off."
"Uh, yeah," Blitz says, reluctant.
With that, blitz goes with the King of Hearts and Moxxie Rabbit to the croquet game and to where the Queen of Hearts is supposed to be. He is starting to grow concerned about what he's getting himself into, and what might happen if the Queen sees him.
