Chapter 12: The Trial
Soon enough, Blitz is now in the court house with many of the citizens of Wonderland. The Queen of Hearts is of course sitting on the throne. As twelve of the beings act as the jury: The Griffin, the Lobster, Duchess Stella, Mae Turtle, Bill and his wife, Tweedle Loopty and Tweedle Lyle, Mrs. Dodoberry, Striker Caterpillar, The Cheshire Fizzarolli, and Door Owl. in the other side of the courtroom are those who are attending the trial. Blitz is one of them. Even though Blitz remembers seeing in the human world how they handle people who have committed crimes, he doesn't really care for it, but is curious to see what's about to take place. And soon enough, he sees the Knave of Hearts standing at the defendant stand. The King of Hearts is holding a gavel which means he is acting as the judge of this trial.
Soon, Moxxie Rabbit blows the trumpet catching everyone's attention.
The King of Hearts calls out, "Silence in the court!"
Then turns to Moxxie Rabbit, "Now then, read the accusation."
Moxie rabbit rolls down the scroll and reads, "
The Queen of Hearts
She made some tarts,
All on a summer's day;
The Knave of Hearts
She stole those tarts,
And took them quite away."
Blitz questions in thought, "That's an accusation. That sounds more like a poem. Besides, I thought Moxxie Rabbit made the tarts."
The Knave of Hearts rolls her eyes and says, "Yeah right, like why would I steal the Queen of Hearts' tarts. I don't even like tarts anyway."
"Silence!" The Queen of Hearts shouts angrily.
"Alright, bring in the first witness," The King of Hearts says.
Curious Blitz whispers to one of the Succubus that resembles Coco that has the #4 and four hearts, "Do they even have a witness?"
"I don't think it matters, the Knave might either get sexual torture, or have her head cut off anyway," The #4 Hearts answer.
Blitz is rather stunned and rather annoyed that they'll execute someone only a pastry, especially someone that resembles their adopted daughter.
Moxxie Rabbit blows the trumpet and announces, "The First witness, March Loo Loo!"
That's when March Loo Loo happily walks to the room.
"What can you tell us about the event?" The King questions.
"Nothing much. Just that I like to be wild and crazy all day," March Loo Loo says.
The King answers, "Very well, you may go."
March Loo Loo laughs and leaves the court. Blitz is starting to get a little bored with the trial so he reaches into his pocket and begins to eat one of the mushrooms.
The Queen announces, "Court, you may call the next witness."
Moxxie Rabbit blows the trumpet and announces, "The next witness, Millie the Cook! Please, step forward!"
Millie the Cook happily skips to the courtroom with a big smile on her face.
"Hello majesties," Millie the Cook says.
Then happily waves to Moxxie Rabbit, "Hi Moxxie!"
Moxie Rabbit blushes a bit and happily waves back, "Hello Millie."
Millie the Cook giggles in reply.
The Queen sternly says, "Witness, not making romantic comments with your husband while giving testimony."
"Alright, keep your crown on," Millie the Cook says.
The King asks, "You are the cook for the duchess, correct? Please give your evidence?"
"Sorry, but I don't have any evidence, not even a small morsel of it," Millie the Cook answers.
"Alright. Then tell us what tarts are made of," The King questions.
"Easy. Tarts are made of pepper just like everything else. Everything needs pepper in it. Watch," Millie the Cook says, and begin to crank the pepper maker.
The pepper begins to cover the room as everyone begins to sneeze.
The Queen shouts as she sneezes, "Achoo! Achoo! Leave! Achoo! Leave the Courtroom! Achoo! Or it's off with our! Achoo! Off with your head!"
"Okay. See you later, My little Honey Bunny!" Millie the Cook happily says and leaves the courtroom.
Blitz groans with an annoyed expression and mutters, "Can this trial get any more ridiculous?" but unknown to Blitz, because he has eaten one of the mushrooms he begins to grow.
Once the queen stops sneezing, she says, "Alright, the next witness."
"The next witness. Mad Hatter Wackford," Moxxie Rabbit announces.
That's when Mad Hatter Wackford runs over and stops in his tracks.
The Queen shouts, "Off with your hat!"
Mad Hatter Wackford laughs and removes his head, revealing a pot with a teacup on a saucer.
"Where were you when the crime was committed," The King asks.
Mad Hatter Wackford laughs as he holds the teapot and cup, "I was home drinking tea."
He then squirts the put into the cup and begins to sip the tea from the cup.
"So I haven't really seen anything," Mad Hatter Wackford says.
"Very well, you may leave now," The King says.
With that the Mad Hatter, Wackford leaves the courtroom without delay.
"Can this get any stranger?" Blitz wonders, unaware that he has grown even bigger.
The Queen then says, "Call in the next witness!"
"Right, the next witness," Moxxie rabbit says, and looks to see who it is.
Then calls out, "Blitz!"
"Here!" Blitz calls out.
Moxxie looks around and asks, "Where are you?"
"I'm right here, are you blind or something?!" Blitz answers, but becomes surprised to see that he is big.
In fact, he's so big that his horns almost touch the ceiling. Everyone looks and becomes surprised and frightened to see Blitz is practically a giant.
Moxxie Rabbit calls out, "Rule #42: You're not allowed to be more than a mile high or larger than the courtroom. You must leave the court immediately."
"I'm not a mile high, and well, I don't think I can leave. I don't think I can even fit through the door," Blitz says.
Then looks at himself, "I don't even know how I got big anyway."
"I'm afraid we'll have to hold you in contempt," Moxxie Rabbit says.
"Oh don't worry, I'll just leave right now, and as for testifying, I know nothing about it. And I don't think the Knave did it either. Now I'll be on my way," Blitz says.
"Just don't step on anyone on your way out," Moxxie Rabbit says.
"Alright, but I'll have to say this. This trial sounds ridiculous, there isn't even a shred of proof that the Knave of Hearts even did it," Blitz says.
That makes the Queen angry, "Are you questioning our authority! Guards, take him! Capture him! And off with his head!"
The Succubi and Incubi turn towards Blitz and pounce on him. Blitz is soon surrounded by the demon cards as he begins to stumble back.
"Hey, knock it off! You can't do this in there!" Blitz panics.
Blitz continues to lose his balance and falls over, destroying the doors of the wall. Blitz soon crawls out of the courtroom, shaking the demons off of him and quickly runs off.
"Don't just stand there, hurry and capture him now!" The Queen of Hearts shouts in anger.
The soldiers soon begin to chase after Blitz. Soon enough, Blitz begins to shrink back to his normal size.
"Fuck! Talk about the worst timing! I'm reverting back to normal!" Blitz panics.
Yet, he continues to keep running as the Queen of Hearts and her Card Soldiers are right behind him. Blitz then runs into the maze. The Soldiers either run in through the entrance or jump over the maze. Blitz continues to run through the maze with the Queen of Hearts and her soldiers right on their tail. Blitz then pushes the soldiers and runs on top of them, since they act like playing cards. The queen runs towards Blitz from the opposite direction, making a ramp as Blitz runs upwards. He then slides down that runs into a rock ramp and is running on his feet all over again.
Soon enough, Blitz ends up being part of the Caucus Race. The characters begin to sing as they circle around the large boulder with Mrs. DodoBerry on the top. Blitz decides not to stick around and runs off the Caucus Race. Yet the Queen of Hearts and Soldiers aren't far behind.
The Queen of Hearts shouts, "Off with his head! Off with his head!"
However, Blitz refuses to stop and continues running until he sees a very long table. Blitz climbs on the table and continues running to see so many dancing teapots and teacups. Suddenly, Mad Hatter Wackford and March Loo Loo grab hold of his arms.
"Hold on, Blitz! You can't run without having a cup of tea!" Mad Hatter Wackford says.
Panicking, Blitz says, "I can't fuckin' stop now!"
"But we insist! You must have a cup of tea!" March Loo Loo says with laughter.
Soon, the two pull him to a large cup of tea and throw him in. In the large liquid tea, Blitz is able to swim to the surface. Blitz soon begins to swim across the ocean of tea, but the queen is close behind on a rowboat with her soldiers rowing.
She shouts, "Off with his head!"
Blitz continues to swim across the tea sea until he grabs hold of something and climbs on to it.
He coughs out the tea and says, "That was close."
"Close how, Boss man," A familiar voice says.
Blitz becomes shocked and turns to see Striker Caterpillar on it.
"Still can't find your way, huh little dude?" Striker Caterpillar questions and blows smoke at him.
Blitz coughs as he covers his mouth, until someone grabs him and lifts him into the air. Soon, he faces Cheshire Fizzarolli!"
"Yeah! Are you still lost and have to do things solo! You look all around and can't find someone to be with!" Cheshire Fizzarolli says with evil laughter.
Then spins around with Blitz in his arms and tosses him to the ground. Blitz quickly gets up and runs as fast as he can with the Queen of Hearts and the soldiers in hot pursuit.
"There he goes! Don't let him get away! Off with his head!" The Queen shouts in rage.
Blitz continues to run away from the mad queen and her soldiers as fast as he can. Then, he trips on the table and falls to the ground to see the key, the cookies, and the bottle from before.
He picks up the stuff and says, "These look like the stuff when I first came in! Then the door must be around here somewhere!"
Blitz continues to run as fast as he can as he scans the area. Soon enough, he sees Vortex Door right in front of him.
Vortex Door notices and says, "Hey man, interesting to see you back!"
"Yeah, good to see you too. I don't have much time!" Blitz says.
He quickly puts the key in the slot, turns it and opens the door. He then drinks from the bottle and shrinks to fit through. He runs through the door and quickly closes it. Then eats a small bite so he'll grow to a normal size. He then locks the door to prevent any entry from anyone.
Blitz sighs, "Phew! That was fuckin…! Clooooooosssse!" and soon Blitz begins to fall.
Blitz falls deeper and deeper into an abyss and doesn't seem that he will ever stop, and who knows where he'll end up falling to or that he'll ever stop.
