Gawking at the figure before him, with eyes as wide as the moon Kakashi stammered to make sense of it all. She however, found this whole situation very amusing.
"The anticipation always pays off." Yoruichi laughed as the smoke that once clothed her disappeared revealing... her. All of her "but you seriously have me worried Kakashi." she said with playful concern in her voice "Have you never seen a naked woman before?" she asked her voice returning to mischievous as she cocked her head to the side with a wide grin as her very nude form was on full display.
Still coping with what's unfolded before him, he still stammered over his words "No, no, it's just-" he paused to collect himself as she leaned in for an answer "..not what I expected." he answered, coming to his senses.
"Hm." Yoruichi let out as she stood back up "I guess I could agree with that." she shrugged. She then only now found it necessary to dress in front of him. He politely averted his eye; raising his hands to block his view as the other remained hidden under his forehead protector. Looking around it, he could see her shadow moving and few extra pieces of clothes flail about as she dressed. He didn't question anything when it stopped, but she did. "Your not peaking at me with that Sharingan of yours are you?" she teased.
He flinched behind his hand, his eye growing wider now "How do you know about that?" he asked gravely, his eye rolling back in her direction from behind his hand.
"I used to be the Captain of the Stealth force." she told as she lifted something up past her waist; slipping into something more comfortable "I make it my business to know things." she lifted it even higher. She spoke rather casually about the subject which she likely was with a lot of things, but this new revelation didn't sit well with him. If she knew about his Sharingan, what else did she know? "Alright!" her voice rang out over his hand and into his ears "Peep shows over." He lowered his arm to look at her again. She was certainly clothed, though this new outfit didn't do much to conceal her body. No sleeves or pant legs to be found, still bare skin. All there was on her was a black skin tight, backless leotard and long black boots. It left very little to the imagination, not that he needed it at this point. Perhaps the only other thing of note was a black tattoo on her left thigh. In the aftermath of their introduction, he stood there just staring at her, and she did the same with crossed arms which propped her chest up. "Still that good huh?" she asked wiping her tongue across her teeth and lips like a predator.
"Well.." he paused looking her over, trying to find something to say. He then focused in on her legs "some guys like fat legs." A look of utter shock and revulsion came over her face.
"Fat?! They're not fat!" she looked down at them with wide eyes "These are great legs!" she retorted showing them off more from different angles. Turning around and putting her back to him she stretched and showed them off in all their glory. Blasphemous as it was, even Aizen knew the strength of her kicks.
"Bigger than mine." he merely said casually as she put her back to him.
Looking back over her shoulder she raised an eyebrow at him accompanied by a fluster annoyed look "Do we really want to talk about legs?" she said with her hands on her hips as her torso twisted back over to him.
"Well clearly one of us does." he shrugged.
"Smartass." she muttered turning back to face him and a few more moments of silence followed. Once again she was the one to break it. "So.." she stretched her arms above her head "Am I gonna get to see you now?" she asked "Plenty of people have seen me transform. But how many have seen you under that mask?" she asked "It would only be fair." she pointed out as she raised a finger to wiggle it in a circle towards him.
"I wouldn't count on it." he answered seriously.
"Oh come on." she pouted from across the room "Just a little peak." she raised her right hand and almost had her thumb and index finger touch "I promise I won't tell." she said playfully to contrast his sternness. Though Kakashi could be laid back himself, he knew this would not be the moment for it. Regardless of who he fought.
"That's-" he began, but stopped abruptly as his view of the room was suddenly overtaken by bright golden eyes right in front of him. Time seemed to slow down as suddenly she disappeared from across the room and reappeared right before him! But it wasn't an attack! She was leaning forward, her right arm was reaching up for his face, her fingers around his forehead protector covering his eye and she was trying to lift it up.
He jumped back across the room, putting even more distance between the two of them than before. She remained where he left her, intentionally in the same pose as if still about to flick his mask off his face. Then a mischievous smirk came across her face, and she crossed her arms. Her golden eyes remained, but could be seen clearly despite the distance between them, and they locked on him from the other side.
"Hard to get huh?" she asked amused, though Kakashi was far from it.
'She's fast.' he thought to himself. 'Incredibly fast.' he thought dangerously as he saw from across the wide room she uncrossed her arms and dropped them to her sides. He knew to expect something from someone who could content with Guy with six of the gates open, but this... this was worrisome. Perhaps even terrifying.
"You know," she began, returning to standing upright "I think your just still shocked because I knew about your secret weapon." She said making excuses for him; something he was perfectly good at making on his own. But he wasn't late for a meeting this time. She put her hands together and stretched her arms out in front of her "So in the spirit of fairness I'll let you in on a little secret." she leaned back and stretched it out, arching her back backwards only to prop her chest up in the process "You don't have to worry about a sword or a blade from me." she said standing up again to look at him "Because I can be considered one of the greatest Taijutsu masters ever." she said, though he had the feeling it was no boast.
"I thought as much." he said aloud. Guy certainly won't like that. Then again how else could he be beaten? "A little modest on your part."
"There's nothing wrong with being confident in yourself." she admitted snapping her body back up to face him "Especially if you can back it up. Just like in my case." he flashed a toothy smile at him. He said nothing, so she continued on "You should always be confident in yourself and your abilities. Wouldn't you agree?" she asked bobbing up and down.
"I suppose so." he responded casually.
"You don't think I heard about your Sharingan because of some idle gossip do you?"
Kakashi tensed up "No. I suppose not." he agreed "Though I haven't really heard of you."
"But you came all this way for me?" her eyes glistened and a knowing smirk widened across her face.
"That's right." he nodded reaffirming everything.
"And speaking of." she stopped and stood in place "Why don't we finally see what your made of? I'm sure you wouldn't want to come all this way just to talk it out." she pounded her knuckles together.
"I just wanted to make sure you were ready for me."
"Well that's awfully considerate of you, but as you'll find out I'm ready for anything.." she paused, stopping herself as if she was on the cusp of saying something inflammatory. And then she said it "just ask your friend." she grinned maliciously.
In a flash Kakashi swung his arm out, and three kunai knives were flung across the room heading straight for Yoruichi. She easily evaded them, waiting for when they were right in front of her face. Ducking under them, she charged towards Kakashi who was twirling a fourth knife around his finger. And when she was close, he spun it into his grip and came at her wielding it.
She threw the first punch, only for him to dodge and swipe at her with the knife. She moved back, the knife sliding across in front her face before she swung a leg up towards his head. Raising his left arm, he blocked her and she quickly swung it back down.
He reached a hand out to grab ahold of her, gripping her by her bare left shoulder. The second he did, she reached one arm out to grab him as well, and suddenly, he was off his feet and spiraling around in the air.
"Taketonbo." he heard her say before he landed hard onto the floor. On his back looking up, he saw her smirking down at him. "Close contact?" she said casually raising her leg, her foot hovering over him "Too much for a first date wouldn't you think?" she slammed it down to the floor where his head was, breaking through the wood as she did.
Kakashi slid out of the way as she slammed down planting her foot ankle deep into the floor. Jumping up Kakashi swiped back at her with his knife, but she jumped back and out of the way skidding across the room. He quickly picked himself up and turned to face her. She was already coming towards him when he turned.
She leapt into the air raising her leg and when she closed in on him, she slammed it down; her foot collided with his head and tore right down it and through his entire body splitting him in two!
She grinned as she stuck her landing before him. A mighty kick to make up for his comment before.
Then in a puff of smoke, he disappeared and was replaced with something else. A nice, comfortable red and green piece of furniture which was just decorating the center of the room, now in shambles. A frantic look overtook her once determined face.
"My chair!?" she shrieked in horror before it. Then from her side Kakashi dived at her, wrapping his arms around her body and running across the room. He smashed into the wall and rammed through it, taking her with him. Crashing through the wall, they erupted into the hallway on the other side where Kakashi had passed before to get there. Running through the small corridor he rammed her through another wall on the other side. Yoruichi took the brunt of each blow as they passed through each wall to enter a new area of the barracks. Erupting to the other side and into another wider hallway with a large crowd to watch them, Kakashi released Yoruichi as he slid to a halt and she tumbled across the floor to the other side of the room.
From her fallen position, she slowly went to her knees, hanging her right arm over her right knee as Kakashi became surrounded by the guards. He had no choice and readied himself to face them all at once. They crept in closing the circle around him.
"Stop!" her voice rang out through the halls and they all silently backed off. Slowly the former captain rose to her feet and grilled down Kakashi from the other side. "Alright," she huffed "You have a few tricks that I have to get used to. But don't think I'll let you off easy. Your not getting out of this without getting me a new chair."
"I guess I got out of paying for that that, huh?" he pointed with his thumb to the gaping hole he just made behind him and the several others that lead to it.
"You wanna start a tab?"
"We'll sort all that out later." she said and she waved her hand towards the other soul reapers there. Each one cleared out of the way and some even left the room, leaving more for them. Kakashi watched it curiously
"I'm surprised." he admitted.
"Hm?" she cocked her head to the side "About what?"
"If you're the former captain," he paused "How can you still command such respect here?" Certainly former Hokage's had such privileges, but he had the feeling that this was different. He was proven right by her next words.
"Well, I guess being royalty and exile cancel each other out." she shrugged flaunting her expertise. Kakashi honed in on the word 'exile'. But she continued on " That and a good permanent record. They don't roll out the parade's for you back home?"
He shook his head. "Actually. Exile's are the biggest problems for us."
"Aw, what a pity." she pouted "Maybe I should go seek them out." she teased, but the thought of another Itachi certainly didn't sit well with him. He didn't take such talk as lightly as she did.
"That's not going to happen." he threatened.
"We'll see about that." She bent down now, cutting her body in half putting her head forward, reared her arms behind her back and feet planted on the floor and prepared for this fight to continue.
She dashed across the room clearing it almost instantly, appearing right in front of him. She came at him with a punch with her right arm at high speeds; even faster than before. He barely managed to swat it away before dodging the next one that came. Ducking down from a kick that grazed the top of his hair, he shot up with a punch to her chin. He then kicked her in the stomach, but she quickly rebounded with a jab that connected with his face. She swung at him again, but he sidestepped her attack and put himself behind her and elbowed the back of her head sending her down to the ground. She broke her fall with her hands, but shot her legs out hitting him in the back and across the room.
The onlookers moved away from him as he stumbled to a halt. He quickly snapped around as she appeared and threw a punch at him, hitting him on the nose. She hit him again and again moving him back with each blow. She snapped her leg up for a kick, and he grabbed at her leg and flung her into the air. He threw kunai knives at her from below, but she evaded them as they hit the ceiling. Coming back down on top of him, he jumped back as she landed back on the ground where he once was him, her arms and legs sprawled out like a cat. With her beneath him now, he did just as she did before when their positions were switched. Kakashi reared his leg to hit her. Yoruichi flash stepped out of the way before he could spring his leg forward.
Then he was suddenly clocked hard in the face. Through his wincing eyes, he saw her jump up and kick both her legs out. Connecting with his chest, he was flung back hitting the wall and then bouncing off of it. Looking ahead he saw her closing the distance from her powerful double kick to come at him. Reading himself he dodged from an oncoming punch and she moved away from one of his retaliatory ones. He moved himself off of the wall, ducking under a kick to move beside her and she followed swiping at him as he moved beneath her and moving deeper into the room. Turning around to face him she threw a punch which he dodged and followed up with a kick. From there the two threw a fury of punches and kicks at each other in the middle of the room. Each one was blocked or evaded by the other.
He slammed his foot down into the floor breaking it. She sent one kick flying at his head which he ducked under. Quickly picking his foot up from the floor, he jumped into the air dodging another kick meant to take his legs out from under him. Once he landed, he pressed an attack with his fists. She dodged each one before jumping over him and swinging her arm around towards his head. He pivoted on his feet putting both arms up to block her. He kicked his leg out at her, but she sidestepped him and turned around to throw a punch. He caught it and jabbed with his own. Tearing her fist from his, she knocked his hand away and when he was off balance from it she kicked him back. She was on him again with more punches. He swatted each one away as she came at him taking a step back with each oncoming blow. He moved both fists out of the way and sent one of his out at her, but she dodged it. She didn't relent and started bringing her attack at him again.
Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw the blue of the uniformed assassins closing in around them. He blocked another blow as he saw the wall out of the corner of his eye. This certainly wasn't good; she was moving him into a corner. And it seemed like she was getting even faster as the fight went on. She pressed her attack, and he jumped back only to feel the 'thud' of a hard surface behind him. He didn't have to look to see where he was, especially when she was swinging at him with another punch.
She swung a fist at him. He dodged under it at the last second having her hit the wall instead; a blow that put a huge hole in the side and almost took out the entire wall. Hunched under her arm which hung above his right shoulder he snapped forward with an equally devastating punch of his own. She caught his arm, wrapped her arms around it and swung her self up. Planting her feet onto a part of the wall that still stood firm, she pushed off of it sending him and her soaring across the room and dragging him by the arm. Riding on top of him, she swung him around in the air and let him go sending him hurling with enough force to send him across the room and through another wall.
Crashing through the wall, he landed hard onto what felt like dirt. Looking up he saw the sun shining down on him and no roof overhead. Picking himself up he found himself in a small pleasant square shaped little garden. But it wouldn't remain pleasant for long as he then saw her jump out of the hole he'd made in the wall.
"Yeah." she said grinning as she lurched down looking at him "You'll be paying for that too."
Getting up, he threw another set of ninja stars at her, but as soon as they were swatted away she was right in front of him. She swiped her arm across him, hitting his face from the side. Then she reared her foot up and kicked him across the courtyard.
He quickly picked himself up, tasting blood in his mouth as he did. The second he did, he glanced up to see her coming straight at him. He moved to block, but he was too slow now. She swung at him even faster than before; her kick hitting him in the left side face, before the other did the same to the other side. Then she jumped forward and hit him in the gut with her knee. He was sent back across the courtyard again and this time she was content to only watch him go.
He sat on the ground gasping for air as she watched him writhe there. She brought a hand up to wipe some dirt from her cheek. He was slow in getting up this time. He looked over to see her and every one else watching him.
'So this is her strength huh?' he thought to himself. He then put both his hands on the ground and slowly pushed himself up.
"Hm?" she let out "I hope your not thinking of continuing this." She was on his knees now and looked back to her.
"I hope you don't think I'd give up and try to talk out of it. Where would I be if that's all I've ever done in the sight of trouble? I should be confident in myself right?" he asked. She smirked at him.
"Well you have a knack for remembering the littles details. I'll give you that."
"I'm good at things like that. All the little details." he admitted, as a knowing tone was clear in his voice. Almost like he was preparing for something. His left arm stirred, fidgeting as it moved upwards on his body. She eyed him curiously "Let me show you why." he said reaching a hand up to his headband. She leaned in curiously now as he pulled it up to reveal a closed eye lined by a scar.
It opened to reveal his signature power. His Sharingan. He grilled her down with both eyes now.
"You may know about this." he said as he rose to his feet "But that doesn't mean you'll be prepared to face it."
"Is that a threat?" she asked.
"Aren't you confident enough to face me?"
"Oh" she gasped holding her hands up in the air "it is a threat?" she teased.
"Are you going to come to me?" he said putting a kunai in his hands "Or do you want me to show you what your dealing with?"
"Oh don't bother." she shrugged.
She bolted at him yet again prepared to smash this bravado into pieces. As she came at him, he admitted she was still incredibly fast, but he could still see each step she took. She reared her left arm back and then forward at him. He brought his free hand up and hit hers away. He saw the shock take over her face after that attack. Then he brought the other up and slashed at her with the knife.
In one swift motion he dragged it across her throat opening it before his own and every one else's much slower eyes. Blood squirted out from the open wound as she became limp and fell backwards. Unfazed, he watched her fall back to ground with a lifeless look in her eyes. They both had seen their fair share of carnage. Then saw a leg coming at him from behind.
He rotated on his feet, bringing him to full view of another and visibly unharmed Yoruichi, attacking him. Without thinking he brought one arm up to block it and the other to slash with the knife. He blocked her attack with one arm and slashed her left arm with his knife. Her eyes became wide with pain as blood poured from the wound as the knife ran down her arm. When he swiped at her again, she leaned back from the attack only to encounter a kick sending her back away from him, knocking her to the other side of the courtyard.
He then looked over his shoulder to see nothing standing where he had slashed her throat before.
"Nice trick." he said casually before turning back to her "Where'd you pick that up from?" It sure did seem familiar. Perhaps her own version of the Shadow Clone.
Yoruichi swiped her mouth "Years of practice." she answered looking away from her wounds, not giving any satisfaction to him. "It's called Utsusemi. An after image created in the aftermath of a great burst of speed." Yoruichi explained to him.
"I see." Kakashi said observantly "We have our own version. We call it Shadow Clones or substitutions." he let out a breath "I have to say I wasn't expecting that. It seems the Stealth Force isn't too far off from a ninja themselves."
"If you thought I'd run blindly into something like that, I'd say you've underestimated me."
"I'd say it doesn't seem to matter." he pointed to the red dripping down her left her shoulder and onto her leg.
She grilled him down "Oh I'll get you back for that in due time...you better hope you awfully cute under that mask."
He twirled the knife around a finger before he gripped it even harder welcoming the challenge "Come and find out."
She bolted at him once again, and he prepared himself. She jumped into the air and swung her arm at him. He grabbed ahold of her arm and swung her to the ground. She instantly reached her legs up kicking up at him, but he moved back. Bringing her legs back down, she then swiped at his shin, but he jumped back again. It's as if he had an easier time dodging her now that his Sharingan was activated. She picked her self up as he came at her. Slashing his knife at her, she quickly jumped up to the rooftop. He quickly joined her, jumping to the opposite side above the open garden. The two paused to eye each other briefly from their elevated positions. Gold eyes flashed against the sole red one now as they sized each other up.
Then in a flash both of them jumped towards the other. Both swung their legs at the other, the attack canceling out the other when their legs crossed between the two in the air over the center of the garden. Retracting them together, Yoruichi then threw a punch which Kakashi parried with another kick that she blocked before they landed on the opposite sides where they were before. They jumped up yet again, Kakashi leading with a kick, Yoruichi raising her arm. But Kakashi leaped high and flung his foot down on top of her head sending her rocketing back down to the ground. She landed in the courtyard in a loud clash, a small crater forming where she landed. Smoked kicked up flowing through the courtyard. Once it cleared, she looked up to see Kakashi had continued his jump to land on the roof again. Grilling him, she shook the dirt off and took to the air again. Following her with his eyes, he followed jumping up as well.
Kakashi started with a kick again, and Yoruichi brought her arm forward, but they were more level as they clashed in the air this time. She brought her arm up managing to block his kick with her forearm. Kakashi moved to kick her with his other foot, but Yoruichi grabbed that one with he free hand while simultaneously blocking the second attack with their legs. Kakashi struggled to move as he was caught in her grasps and saw Yoruichi reared her arm back. She swung it forward hitting him in the face and sending him back over the Squad 2 roof.
Falling down onto the steps outside of the building Kakashi tumbled down each one, before regaining his footing and bounding off to the ground below. The moment he did he saw Yoruichi plummeting down right for him. He jumped back again as she crashed into the ground breaking the marble tiles. He jumped forward kicking one foot up and then the other, but she moved back dodging them before jabbing at him with a fist and he moved out of the way of that. She swung forward with a kick, and it would have hit him, had he not raised a forearm to block it. Then he grabbed her foot with his other hand and restricted her movements.
Just like what she just did to him before.
With his free hand he plunged it forward hitting her in the face and back onto the steps, breaking them with her fall. He jumped forward and punched her deeper into the steps shattering them all. He raised his hand for another punch. Forcing herself up, she hurled herself over him and tried to attack him from behind the moment she landed. He sidestepped her and swiped with his own attack only for her jump away from the destroyed stairs and further down to the street; now having two walls to flank them.
He moved after her, performing various hand signs as he did.
"Fire style; Fireball Jutsu!" he let out as a wave of fire exited his mouth and moved down the street encompassing the entire path. Yoruichi saw the massive ball coming and with nothing else to do, tried jumping over it. The heat rising, she felt like she was burning alive which very well may happen. She tucked her feet up as they became singed from the tallest tip of the flames as did the end of her long ponytail.
She landed back on the ground as the fireball passed by her and she looked for Kakashi.
He was sprinting towards her, throwing stars and knives at her every time she landed, but she dodged each one. Then he jumped onto the wall and planted his feet now coming at her running along the side of the wall. Yoruichi cemented her position and readied for his attack, but she only now noticed something different about him.
Screeching in his hands was a small blue ball of... lightning?
Closing in on her, he plunged his hand forward. She moved back away from him as he slammed down in front of her. The shining static blade hit the ground, tearing deep into the tiles and distorting it.
She moved around him and back towards the steps of Squad 2 as Kakashi pulled his hand from the ground. His hand no longer ablaze and turned to her.
"Well.." she paused taking it all in "That was impressive." she admitted "Just what was it?"
"Chidori. A lightning blade." he answered sternly. "Just a little something I cooked up one day." he admitted calmly. That seemed to strike an interest in her.
"Oh!" she let out "That's just cute." she said raising her right arm and extending out all the way to her side. "Wanna see mine?" she asked. A drastic change overcame her just now. She became more serious, almost deadly as her face went still. A white aura started to form around her body. In a sudden surge it sparked and cracked off of her body as if it was a storm cloud striking off of and around her "Just a little something I invented." she began moving her arm as the white flashed, lashing out more violently. But Kakashi was not deterred even as it surged around him, he did not move from it "This is the very reason for my battle attire. The back and sleeves would be torn off by it." she said as the lightning continued to surge "It's called Shunko." she named it "It increases the strength of the wielder's punches and kicks. " she told. And she would need it now it seemed. Her fist was now aimed at him; the white aura was flowing off her fist like fire. Finally, she broke her deadly trance and smirked at him "Among other things."
The aura building around her fist suddenly discharged from it and came right towards Kakashi. An explosion of fire and smoke covered the entire street. She looked on with content, lowering her arms as everything began to clear.
Nothing remained in the wake of the explosion; the walls were destroyed into tiny piles of rock, the street and foundation were now just a deep trench as that reached as far as the street had. And there was no sign of Kakashi. Content Yoruicih lowered her hand.
"Well that was loud." a man's voice rang out. Wide eyed in shock she turned to see him standing on a far off rooftop. She let out an annoyed grin. Then in a flash she appeared on one opposite of the one he was on.
"Pretty persistent aren't we huh?" she said facing off against him now that they were on higher but level ground.
"Oh I must admit I'm impressed." he said "Big fan." he raised his arm and a noticeable blue energy began forming around it. She raised an eyebrow at him. He raised his arm and pointed it at her "In fact. I think I'd like to try one for myself." Her eyes widened even more and she jumped at him just as a blast not unlike her own was erupting from his fist. She grabbed a hold of his arm and pointed it downwards; both of their eyes were dead locked into the other's.
His arm was bent down towards another empty street and the blast he made was unleashed onto it. An explosion of fire and smoke overtook the street destroying it along with half the building they were standing on. The smoke began to rise and swarm around the two of them.
"Hm." he let out through the fire and her deadly glare "I'll just iron out the kinks later." She tightened down on his arm and swung him across the roof. He reached out his arm to grab ahold of her and pulled her along with him.
Both landed on another nearby roof, separating and planting their feet down.
"How did you do that?" Yoruichi was in shock.
"I thought you knew all about my Sharingan?" Kakashi said "I guess not." he lowered himself back down "It seems the energies of our three worlds are similar. Almost compatible."
"Almost." Yoruichi had no choice but to agree "But only one can come out on top."
He pulled out a knife and slashed at her. She grabbed his arm and pushed against it. It was pulled back, cutting him around his right eye. Blood poured out from the new wound that encircled his eye as she took the knife and slashed it into his shoulder. He let out a cry before he knocked her off him and stabbed the knife deep into her shoulder. Quickly, he kicked her off him across to the edge of the roof. He threw the knife, and she ducked under it, going low to a prone position.
Keeping low she ran forward and tackled him off the top of the roof. They fell entangled in each other, throwing punches and kicks as they dropped down. They fought as they fell, not taking notice of the large worm like Bankai that chased two other people who flew or jumped high to evade it.
They crashed onto another roof as they fell, only to roll off and fall again to smash onto another lower roof. He was on top of her one second only for her to roll him over and get on top herself. He reached his arm out and slugged her in the shoulder where the stab wound was. She cried out in pain when he did before he flung her off to another rooftop below and followed her down. Slamming down feet first he landed on top of her, breaking the roof even more and blood splattered up from her mouth. Crouching low on her, Yoruichi lunged her arms up pushing him off to the edge of the roof. She got to her knees as he jumped after her kneeing her in the face and off of the root. Sprawled out in the air she reached out at the last moment for his leg, tugging on him at the last second as he was dragged off the roof they crashed down through another building.
Squad 5 Barracks
The ever pleasant members of the 5th squad were once again being very productive on yet another beautiful day at their barracks. That was until they came crashing down through it.
Everyone scattered as through the smoke two figures could be seen lying among the planks, tiles and rubble. Beneath the hole they fell from the shifted and moved on the floor away from each other. Then the smoke cleared revealing Yoruichi and the masked ninja she fought against.
They both picked themselves up amongst the debris. Yoruichi on her hands and knees as Kakashi was on his back. Looking down his body to see her past his feet Kakashi moved. Winging his leg over, he hit her across the face, splattering blood from her mouth all over the clean floors. Getting himself up, Yoruichi propped herself up on her arms and legs shot her leg back kicking him in the chest and him back into a wall. With Kakashi slammed against it, she ran forwards and kicked him through it. Falling back through the wall, he managed to stay on his feet. Still standing, but now in another hallway, he performed hand signs and suddenly four identical versions of him appeared by his sides. She didn't seem surprised or concerned by these new additions. They all went forward swarming her at once. Two of them jumped up while the other's came at her from the ground.
They came at her in a fury of punches, kicks and blades. She evaded some, blocked others, and misdirected any she could. She kicked one into another and they both disappeared in a puff of smoke. Two came at her from both sides. She jumped up and kicked both legs out striking both of them in the face and they disappeared as well. When she landed back on the ground, she saw a fifth Kakashi coming at her; the real one no doubt. He burst through the smoke, and she lunged forward to attack him, her fist heading right towards his face. But right as she was about to hit him, he started to turn a blue, his face fizzled and into a static blaze. Her eyes bugged open.
'A clone!"' she realized. But not like the others 'A lightning clone?!' she thought as she made contact and the figure. A painful jolt was sent throughout her body, and she let out a deafening screech when it did. Encased in blue electricity as she was zapped, the clone faded leaving only her standing. Smoke rose from around her body, but she managed to remain standing.
From behind her Kakashi appeared again, ready to strike her with another kunai. She jabbed her arm out hitting him in the neck. He coughed and gagged reaching for it, as she reached around grabbed him, dragged him across the floor breaking through it and out another door into the courtyard.
He stumbled to his feet when he heard a sharp cry coming from behind him. Turning he saw Yoruichi leaping into the air and coming down at him. He raised his arms and braced himself.
She collided with him, falling down on top of him. A small dust cloud picked up from the ground when she landed onto the ground and he disappeared in it. She put her knees out having them hit the ground first to help break her fall. When the dust cleared, she looked around for him. He could not be seen on any side of her and was neither before or behind her. She looked up to see him not overlooking her from a rooftop. With no where else to look she turned down and that's where she found him.
Beneath her.
Sitting there on the ground and tucked snugly between her legs was his face. He blinked his eyes at her innocently as he remained smooshed in place as she looked down at him in bewilderment. Usually, she'd have a comment for something like this. More and more onlookers were looking at this predicament.
He opened his mouth to say something, but the second he did she slammed her fist down at his head. He slid out from under her and she hit the ground instead. She snapped her leg back and kicked him away.
She jumped up to hit him again, but saw no sign of him. She darted her head from side to side, up and down, but he was nowhere to be found. Even all the onlookers looked distressed.
Suddenly she felt her ankle's grabbed from below. When she looked down, she saw two hands sprouting out of the ground as if they were flowers. And they were wrapped around each of her ankles. Then she was yanked down into the ground. Entombed in it only her head was sticking out of the ground now.
Fidgeting in place only her revealed head could move. She looked around to see where he could be, but saw no signs of him. A shadow came over her and she looked to see the cloud in the sky. It wasn't a cloud however. It was Kakashi looming over her; his left leg rearing back.
"Oh sh-" he swung his leg forward and kicked her in the face. Blood splattered from her face and onto the ground staining the green grass red. He reared his leg back kicking her again and again. Continuing until her face was just a bloody smear matching his boot. Rearing his leg back again, a violent grunt came from the ground.
Yoruichi exploded up at him grabbing him by the throat with her left hand. She dragged him to the ground and plunged her face into his neck, biting into it; tearing through the cloth and skin. He let out a cry as blood flooded from his neck. He pried her off of him, and the two were on their feet. She was the quicker of the two, jabbing him in the face, then again and again until she was finally back on even ground. She jumped up and swung her leg down right on top of his head, sending him face down into the dirt. He rolled out of the way as she came down at him again and shot up with a kunai knife cutting her across the cheek. Then he kicked her legs out from under her and she was on the ground again. She snapped her foot up kicking him back and into the fence along the courtyard. She jumped up and swung a fist at him, but he grabbed her and flung her towards the open barracks. The moment he let go she grabbed a nearby column, swung around it and came by colliding into him as they fell back into the courtyard. She landed on top of him and punched him in the face. He swatted her off him, grabbed her by the neck, slammed her into the ground and rolled on top of her. She brought her knee up to hit his gut, snapped her arm up to hit his chin and moved herself on top again. She moved to punch him, but he sprung up and flung her off him. He then turned to face her again.
He reared up another Chidori in his hand, only it was different this time. Strands of lighting emitted off it from all sides like normal and some went even farther than others; it was those strands which came together and take the shape of something else. It slumped down on it's four legs and looked to her with menacing red eyes. It looked like a..dog?
It sprinted away from Kakashi's hand and came right for her!
She ducked out of the way and sprinted back into the barracks ran down the hallway and it followed right behind her.
"Lightning Beast Running Justu!" Kakashi's voice echoed down the hallway overtaking her and the beast. Strands of lightning from the dog connected to his hand as if it were a leash.
She screeched to a halt in the middle of the hallways and jumped out a nearby window into the street. She began looking and looked back to see the dog doing the same; leaving a trail of blue wherever it went.
She ran through the streets, jumped over walls, through even more barracks, around and up buildings, but no matter where she went this thing was hot on her heels following her. Springing away, she rounded a corner only to find Kakashi there waiting for her. She slid under him and down the street. When she turned around the lighting beast he created tackled her into a wall as Kakashi watched on.
Another surge of lightning stuck her in the form of the dog as she was planted into the side of the street. When it left, she saw Kakashi coming right at her with another Chidori. Smoldering in place she jumped up and grabbed onto him then hurled him into the wall, planting him into it. Then she kicked him through it smashing a hole in the complex and sent him into another barrack's open courtyard. Drops of blood littering the ground from where he had tumbled. She bent down and jumped high into the air. When she came back down, she came down hard.
"RaiĆken!" she roared from above and landed on top of him with two powerful strikes into his back. He plunged into the ground, and the entire street began to crumble from the force. He coughed and red began to form around his mask where his mouth was. His eyes opened as she saw fury in them.
He snapped his elbow back hitting her in the face, breaking her hold on him. Rising up to his knees to match her, he grabbed her head with both hands and then head butted her down to the ground. As she fell back he grabbed ahold of her shoulders, hurled her over his back and sent her tumbling across the floor.
She shook her head and raised herself to her knees when he came at her again. She raised her arm, but he kicked it away and then cracked her in the face. He grabbed her by the throat and threw her across the yard and into another set of barracks.
Shaking her head and wiping blood from her nose she looked up to see him charging her.
She got up and ran deeper into the barracks recognizing it's sleek aesthetic as that of the Sixth Division; closing the door behind her as another Chidori appeared in his hands. She pushed herself against the door to help seal it shut, but his hand ripped through it coming right next to her face with the lightning blade screeching next to her. She quickly moved back and ran deeper into the barracks. She looked around at her surroundings and all the frantic soul reapers scrambling around them. Luckily she had a plan.
Leaving the door behind it rattle and shook violent before being violently torn apart. Kakashi ripped through the door and his head swiveled around the room looking for her as pieces of it littered the floor. He saw her bolt away and cut through a nearby corridor. He quickly gave chase.
He came from behind her from the end of the hallway. She dashed away on her feet, and he was right behind her, another Chidori raging in his hand. She jumped around a column as he swiped at her, ripping right through it and the rest crumbled from the attack. She ran forward as he swung again taking out another column. She jumped up and grabbed ahold of another one and clung tightly to it as he slashed it from below causing it fall through the wall. She let out a shriek as she hung on as she was now high above the ground. Looking inside and seeing him she propelled herself up off of the dangling column and to the roof. She landed on the top and began look around.
"On the roof!" "Look!" Some onlookers called out from the below. Looking around and seeing no sign of Kakashi she began moving across the roof as the crazed Squad Six members looked on from below.
Suddenly Kakashi erupted up through the roof with another Chidori and landed right in front of her. He moved towards her along the building as she moved back from him. He was breathing deeply as he stared her down intensely; his breaths were louder than the Chidori in his hand.
"Is your speed only good for running away?" he grumbled. Then he lunged his Chidori forward at her.
She propelled herself forward kicking him in the face, riding over his Chidori which dissipated in his hand. Then she swopped down kicking his legs out from under him and he landed onto the roof tiles breaking them. Then she jumped down on top of him, pinning him in place.
"Your not the only one who can copy abilities." she said "Mines just not as refined." Then she disappeared from on top of him and Kakashi picked himself up.. only he couldn't. He was stopped short from doing so. He looked to his shoulders to see two of his kunai knives holding him down against the roof. Looking down onto his vest, he saw a piece of paper burning away on his vest; his very own paper bomb about to erupt. His eyes bugged open as he tried to pick himself up again. Looking away he saw Yoruichi running down the roof.
Kakashi ripped himself up tearing his clothes from the knives and quickly moved to take off his jacket. He got it off and hurled it into the air as the paper disintegrated completely.
The vest exploded in the sky and everyone in the vicinity looked up as another explosion echoed across the Seretei. Even Yoruichi stopped a few blocks away to see it go off. She let out another smile and a sigh.
It seems that was it.
Then suddenly from above something landed on top of her, taking her to the ground. She rolled across the floor, shaking whatever it was off, though she already had a guess who it actually was. Looking up she saw Kakashi kneeling on the opposite side of the street from her. He had lost his jacket and now only had the long blue beneath it on. It was the only remnant of his uniform still intact, all blue save for some red coloring courtesy of her. The only visible part of his body remained everything above his nose, except for some small holes and tears here and there such as the one on his neck. They locked eyes and were soon at it yet again.
They ran towards each other swinging their fists. Kakashi ducked under hers and then slashed at her with his bare hand. She arched back dodging his swipe, but he caught onto something else.
His hand grazed her torso, but also ripped at her clothes- what very little there was- tearing it open to reveal her stomach.
"Oh you really are a big pervert aren't you." she smirked before she snapped her elbow down connecting with the top of his head and sending him down to the ground. She raised her right foot up and smashed it down onto his head planting him deeper into the ground. The second he landed Kakashi peered out from the dirt and her foot, reached out and grabbed her ankle, throwing his arm up and her along with it. Landing hard on her back he quickly jumped up over her, grabbing her by the shoulders and slamming her hard into the ground again and again. Grabbing her head, he slammed it into the wall before he kicked her away. She bounced off a wall and to her feet ready for more. Both anticipated an attack but neither did. Not instantly at least.
"Well.." he panted as they stood across from each other in the small street "I'd say we almost match."
"In clothes or prowess?" she let out some deep bloody breathes. The two's initial uniform like their appearance had been worn down by their constant fighting.
"Your guess is as good as mine."
"This uniform is designed specifically for punishment.. what's mine." she winked with a toothy bloody smile.
"Let me show you." he said before charging. The two collided against each other in a flurry of punches and kicks; exemplified by her Shunko and his blatant mimicking of it. Her arms and legs glowed white as his flared in blue.
"Shunko!" she snapped her leg out at him hitting him in the chest. Her hit collided with him and in an explosion of force sent his reeling back down the street and into a nearby building smashing through it. She readied herself in the middle of the street as he appeared through the hole he made in the crumbling building. Erupting from it, he came at her with another. He swung at her, but she dodged, so he followed it with a kick which she blocked by snapping her arm up.
His fist surging with power he swung forward knocking her head down into the street shattering it. He grabbed her legs when they were before him and flung her into a nearby wall cracking it. She emerged from it just as easily as he had before.
Ready for retaliation, he thought on his feet and found a simple conclusion. There was enough distance between them that he could do this. He brought his hand up and put two fingers to his forehead; his fingertips began to snap and crackle as a flash of light began to trickle off of it.
"What is this trick?" she asked cautiously "Not one of mine."
"No, certainly not," Kakashi said as his fingers sparked against his forehead "But why don't I get you two acquainted." She dashed at him, and he released his hand "Special Beam Cannon!" he let out and a spiral beam shot out towards Yoruichi. It hit her dead on in her stomach. Kakashi looked to see once again the Power he learned from Piccolo, but he saw no sign of it here. Instead Yoruichi just seemed to fade away after being hit. Unfazed by it Kakashi remained on his guard.
"Utsusemi." Kakashi said.
"That's right!" a voice said from behind. Turning his head he saw her appear behind him. "That last one would have been devastating." Piccolo would be glad to hear that.
Two hands grabbed him and flung him to the ground onto his back. Another Raioken came to crack the street open before he rolled out of the way. Rolling onto his knees, he turned his head up to see her attack him again. On his knees he ducked even further under a kick.
Now she came at him again. Ducking under her oncoming fist, he grabbed her arm with both hands. Rearing it over his sides, he launched her through the air and tumbled down the street. Not staying idle he quickly perused her.
Yoruichi jumped up and he pursued her. She started running up a nearby wall before jumping off the top and propelled herself onto the side of a tall tower. He followed close behind her. Running up the side of the building she peered over her shoulder to him following close behind her.
"Stop looking at my ass!" she roared before jumping off and falling down to him. She latched onto his back stopping her fall and slammed his head into the wall; a bloody imprint of his head was painted on the side. He then rolled over slamming her into the wall, pinning her there with his body. She coughed out blood over his shoulder and it fell far to the ground below. He moved off of her and swung back with a kick sending her through the tower and crashing into a nearby one. He jumped off to follow her as this tower crumbled behind him, soaring with a punch towards another high tower. As he came with a reared fist she moved to dodge his punch which dented the tower they were on now.
She jumped up and landed on the balcony of another nearby tower, and he came shooting up after her. He swiped at her, but she moved back away from him. He followed her into the center of the tower, both of them exchange fierce punches and kicks as they did. Yoruichi took a step back only to nearly fall off the edge of the tower. Kakashi swung forward and she leaned back to fall out and down.
Shocked he leaned his head over to see if she really did fall.
A black hand then snatched his collar and launched him from the top of the tower to another nearby building. He crashed across the top, unsettling the entire structure. Yoruichi followed him landed by his side. She looked around to see where they were. Recognizing Squad Eights barracks she saw this building was just as tall as the last one. Who ever went from the top of this would suffer a pretty horrific fall.
A sadistic bloody grin overcame her face.
"Come here." she grabbed ahold of him "Squad Eight hasn't seen a battle like this since Chad and the Ryoka invasion." she said dragging him limply tho the edge and then laughed sadistically as he got the view of where he was now. Another sharp drop into hard complex below "A nice view isn't it? Not as good as me, though!" she said looking down at him though he was silent and didn't move. She reared her arms back with him in them and flung them forward, letting go of him, tossing him over the top.
He plummeted down below as the towers lined his fall. Swerving in the air, he looked back to her and pulled out a chain out of his uniform and swung it at her. She reached out to slash it away with her hand, but it had the opposite effect. Instead, it wrapped around her forearm. She then looked down to Kakashi, who put both his hands on it.
"Nononono." she let out before he tugged on it and she was jerked from the top and sent plunging down along with Kakashi.
She caught up to him soon enough, and they resumed their game of cat and mouse. He swung the chain to send her hurling towards another set of buildings smashing into them as they fell, but she shook it loose and yanked on it bringing him to her now and he collided into her fist. She threw another one at hi, but he blocked it as they fell and responded with one of his own. She blocked just as easily and they both noticed how close the ground was. They both reached out and grabbed ahold of the other and brought each other close.
They crashed through another roof and ceiling, landing in another barracks.
A thick cloud of smoke covered everything. Their coughs and breathing were the only things to be heard through it all. For Yoruichi the ground wasn't as hard as she expected.
The dust began to settle and thin out and the two of them got a better look at how they landed.
She was lying tightly on top of Kakashi with both of their arms wrapped around the other. Their bodies, bloodied and battered were pressed together and their faces were inches apart.
Lying on top of each other the two were ready to go at it again until a voice stopped them.
"Oh don't mind us." he said calmly despite the fact they had fallen through and obliterated their roof. The two turned over to see two captains sitting calmly amongst the rubble "Please continue." Shunsui the Captain of Squad Eight said as he casually refilled his cup and Jushiro looked on with a stunned expression.
With permission the two of them jumped up and began going blow for blow again. Jumping off the walls, across the floor and even over their new bystanders who casually sat amongst it all. Kakashi then kicked her down the hall and followed her down it.
"Well.."Jushiro said shocked as they went "That was certainly something."
"Ah kid's these days" Shunsui said taking a satisfying sip "Courtship sure has changed."
"Well, it's like you keep saying-"
"Things certainly have gotten interesting around here" Shunsui finished. Jushiro looked off as the two of them continued to tear through the Soul Society. Sporadic smoke clouds, debris sounds of a struggle, curses and flashes of light shot up on the outside of the barracks and headed further away, but increased in intensity.
"First Mayuri and Kenpachi and now this." Jushiro commented as he watched the chaos unravel further down the street "Are we going to-"
"Yep" Shunsui picked himself up "Let's get goin.'" he reached for his belt "We may need some help with these two."
"I know just who to call." Jushiro said getting up with him.
Traveling through the Soul Society from rooftop to rooftop, the battle continued.
They landed down in a narrow alleyway. Both let out tired breathes as blood dripped down to the floor from their many open wounds.
"So.." Kakashi panted "How are you holding up?"
She grinned with red teeth "As far as first date's go?" she puffed "It's getting pretty late doncha think?"
"Well" he said as they both raised their battered arms "Let's end it then." Another blade of lightning formed in his hands and her arm ignited with Kido.
The two charged at each other again. Kakashi leaned forward with Chidori in his hands. Yoruichi's hand glowed white from all the energy emitting from her body. The were ready to clash, to bring their arms forward and their greatest weapons out to defeat the other.
That was until a third and distinctly green arm came in between them and wrapped around Kakashi.
"That's enough!" he heard Piccolo's deep voice call as he felt his arm wrap around his neck and pulled it him away. He saw Yoruichi become swarmed as well. Kakashi was then pinned against Piccolo as he remained in his grip. Gohan came up to his side.
"Easy there. It'll be alright." he said with a reassuring hand on Kakashi's shoulder. Composed and standing upright the Chidori blazing in his own hand died out, but only when he saw the sight unfolding across from him. Piccolo was the only one needed to keep him in place; in fact he didn't even need to restrain him and wasn't doing it too forcefully... she was a much different case.
"Get off!" she roared at her assailants; two of them holding her in the air by her arms and legs while the other in a pink coat tried to calm her down. Beside him trying to do the same was another man in a white cloak and white hair; they were the two bystanders from before who had caught up with them now.
The one holding her right side was Toshiro, who he recognized form before, the other was Renji. Standing behind them was a small young woman; a soul reaper with black hair who tried to find a way to help but couldn't with everything going on.
Toshiro was having a harder time as being shorter than everyone else there, he held her at a lower angle than the other side of her body. Her constant squirming certainly didn't help either. Standing by watching it all were Goten and Trunks whose eyes were glued to her chest, watching it move wildly as her body flailed around.
"Now, now, now" the man in pink said waving his hand "What's gone on to make you all hot and bothered like this?"
"Piss off! I don't work for you! I don't have to take this!"
"Oh is that any way to greet old friends?" he slumped over bringing his face closer to her. "And if you don't work here, we'll have to use the appropriate measures to take care of this. And nobody wants that." he said with puckered lips.
"Bite me!" she shook Toshiro off her leg and plunged it forward into his face knocking him to the ground. Toshiro lunged forward to grab her leg again as the other Captain fell to the ground; a nicely sized footprint adorned on his face.
Every one looked down to him, but only Kakashi's eyes went back to Yoruichi fuming and squirming in her captors arms as he stood calmly restrained.
"Well what do you expect?" he spoke up and every one froze in place, looking to him curiously "You want us to kiss and make up?" Another few moments of seemingly deadly silence passed before it was broken.
A hysterical laughter broke out echoing throughout the entire Seretei. It was soon joined by another one.
It came from the two of them.
