Yep. You read that right. Cancellation.
I'll be honest, it's a pretty hard decision, considering this is a rewrite of the first fanfic I ever made - it's sort of what got my writing career started in the first place - but in the end, I kinda have to follow through with it, due to a combination of factors.
With Overwatch, it became kind of stale. I found myself less and less invested in that world, to the point where I was sitting in front of the screen for hours with absolutely nothing to show for it.
As for Destiny, it's very hard to write for a canon that is still being developed, even moreso when the new additions bring in so many new ideas. I felt that I was being actively held back because I had imposed a sort of "time frame" on myself - thus leading us to what I'm saying now.
At this point, I was sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either I continue writing something that I am no longer passionate about, or I leave this story behind and go on to write what I really want to write. In the end, I chose the latter.
Don't worry, though - this story's not going anywhere.
Who knows, maybe you'll see something like it in the future.
