A Certain Scientific Vampire Killer
Chapter 11: Somewhere I Belong Part 1
The sun was blazing onto me, the cicadas were chirping nearby, and I was playing on the grassland. It was a typical midsummer day, so I tried to enjoy it to the fullest, though the weather was boiling me alive. It was so hot out, I thought I was going to pass out over a heat stroke, and that I would wake up to a nasty sunburn on my body. I decided to walk back to my house so that I could drink a glass of water to quench my thirst, and I then saw my mother doing laundry near my house. My mother was a very beautiful woman; she had long, straight, black hair like me, though it looked much better on her compared to me. My mother was wearing a straw hat to protect herself from the sun, along with a white dress that made her look like an angel from heaven. I walked toward my mom, she asked me if I was alright, and I replied with something like it's exhausting but fun, so I'm getting a drink of water. I then asked her a question, "mom will I ever be like you?" My mother was shocked by my question, though after a minute passed, her warm smile returned.
"Oh, Aisa my sweetheart, you don't have to be like me, just be"-
My eyes opened to the sight of a ceiling that seems vaguely familiar, it was all white, except for the bright light that was above me. I see. I must have died and now I'm in the afterlife. I have no idea what killed me, but, it's fine. Since I'm dead, that means I don't have to kill vampires anymore. I'm going to miss my friends and everyone else around me so much, especially Tsukuyomi, though I might as well enjoy heaven. Now, I can finally relax at last. I proceeded to lift my arms and move them behind my head as I stared upward at the ceiling above me.
"Hey! Hold on! Wait a minute! This doesn't make any sense? No, there is no way it can possibly be true! That light is way too irritating for it to actually be heaven!" I yelled with a grimace on my face as I then moved my head away from the light and towards the pillow I was resting on in order to avoid the annoying light that was still above me.
This can't be happening! If I'm dead, then how the hell is there such an irritating light above me? Wait a minute. Unless I'm somewhere else. Yeah, there's only one possible explanation to what's currently going on right now. It has to be, it's the only thing I can think of, so it has to be true.
"Am I in hell?" I said with a horrified expression on my face as I realized the absolute terror of the situation that I'm currently in. Dam it! Why did this have to happen to me?
"Aisa-chan! Oh, thank god! You are awake! I was so worried about you! You were bleeding so much! And you had such a horrible concussion! The frog-faced doctor said that the damage to your head was so bad that you might have never been able to open your eyes again! I didn't know what to do! I couldn't get any sleep last night due to how worried I was about you! I honestly thought there was a chance that I would never be able to have fun with you again! I honestly thought there was a chance that I would never be able to talk with you again! I honestly thought that I was going to lose you! WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" A certain short, pink-haired loli screamed while wearing a pink dress along with a light-pink jacket as she then proceeded to jump onto me, and hugged me, while her tears flowed from her eyes. Huh? Oh. I understand now. I'm alive. I guess I overthought things again, hahaha.
"For a second, I thought I was dead. However, I'm alive. So everything is going to be ok. S-So, u-um, i-it's nice to see you too, T-Tsukuyomi." I awkwardly said as I proceeded to pat Tsukuyomi on her head in an effort to try to calm her down so that she doesn't fill this entire room with her tears that were overflowing from her eyes and onto me as well as the floor.
"Aisa-chan! I'm so happy that you are alive!" Tsukuyomi screamed as she buried her head into my chest while she was still crying. Tsukuyomi continued to cry onto me, although at a lesser rate, so the head pat that I used on her must have been successful. Phew! That's a relief! For a second, I thought that we were going to have to pay for severe damages for this room due to the chance of it being overwhelmed and utterly devastated because of the tears that were pouring from Tsukuyomi's eyes, which are known to cause catastrophic tsunamis are known to me and everyone else in my class.
"Yes. I'm very glad as well that young Himegami is alive and well." A certain frog-faced doctor said with a smile on his face as he appeared out of nowhere and into the room I'm currently in. I had a suspicion that I was in the hospital due to what Tsukuyomi said earlier. But, now, My suspicions have been confirmed.
"Thank you! I really appreciate the support! I'm also sorry that I ended up in the hospital again! Wait a minute! I'm scared to ask, but, how many times have I ended up in this hospital now?" I said with a voice that was full of fear as I looked towards the frog-faced doctor and awaited the answer to my question with overwhelming dread.
"Well, let's see. It appears that you have been to this hospital last week and the week before that too. So, counting this visit to the hospital as well, that would all add up to three times you had to visit this hospital due to your injuries that you received." The frog-faced doctor said with an awkward smile on his face as he scratched his back in response to my question.
"Wait, what? I can't believe this! I mean, I thought that I might have been forced to go to this hospital three times this month, but! I also thought that it was way too horrible to actually be true! Ah, geez! Why does this always have to happen to me of all people?! There's no way this happens this frequently to anyone else!" I yelled with a confused expression on my face as cursed my shitty luck and thought that there can't be anyone else who has such awful luck.
Meanwhile at a certain apartment
"Achoo!" Toma sneezed.
"Hey Toma, are you sick again? Index said while looking at him in disgust.
"No! I just sneezed! Hey Index, haven't we done this before?! Toma yelled.
Back at a certain hospital
"Aisa-chan! You've ended up in this hospital three times in the past two weeks due to your own carelessness and that alone! Ever since I have first known you, you are the type of person that dives headfirst into a situation without even considering the consequences! So there's no one to blame for your current predicament! The only person to blame is yourself! You and you alone! That's who's responsible for all of this!" Tsukuyomi yelled with a pissed-off expression on her face as she pointed one of her fingers towards me, while she scolded me. Wow. I'm completely shocked. I think this is the first time I've ever seen Tsukuyomi so angry. To be fair, it wouldn't be the first time that I've seen Tsukuyomi mad before, it's one of the things that are to be expected to happen when you and another person decide to live together. Even still, Tsukuyomi is really mad.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to insult other people, nor did I mean to say that this all isn't my fault. But, this is all just so dam frustrating!" I said with a scowl on my face as I hated ending up in the hospital again, for the third time, in recent memory. Being in a hospital means that you are forced to sit still, not move around, and do almost nothing at all. It absolutely sucks. Plus, there's the fact that every time that I've been forced to go to this hospital, it's always because of a life-threatening injury that I received as well as being on the verge of death. It's simply a shitty situation and I feel bad for anyone who has to suffer like I do, because of unfortunate things that happen and are utterly out of our control.
"There, there, Aisa-chan! Everything's going to be ok now just like you said! Oh! I just remembered something that I wanted to ask you! Do you happen to know where Frenda went?" Tsukuyomi said with a cheerful smile on her face which then turned into a curious expression as she wondered where Frenda currently is right now.
At that instant, I then proceeded to remember everything that happened the other day. The other day, the time I spent with Frenda, how we both had so much fun together. I and Frenda went to many wonderful places that day, some of which I have never been to before, we then went to a park that showcased a beautiful sunset that made me cry tears of joy when I saw it. And then I told Frenda that I don't deserve to have so much fun.
That comment enraged Frenda to the point that she started hitting me repeatedly and without mercy to boot. Frenda couldn't understand the ideals that I live by. No. That's wrong. Frenda refused to understand my ideals because she utterly hated them with every fiber of her being. Of course, Frenda would reject my ideals, she's my friend, and she didn't want to see me experience any pain whatsoever. I and Frenda proceeded to have a brutal, harsh argument, which ended in me stating that we were never friends, to begin with. Why? No, how could I say such an awful thing to someone I consider a friend, someone that I love so much?
What happened afterward, was something that was completely unexpected. The final remaining Vampire King appeared out of nowhere and called himself Slipknot. The Vampire King Slipknot stated that he has to fulfill the mission that was given to him, which was to kill Himegami Aisa. This mission was arranged by his lord, the Vampire Emperor, I don't have any clue who that monster he was referring to is but that doesn't matter. What matters is what happened next, the Vampire King Slipknot attempted to kill me, completing the mission that was assigned to him, but then Frenda saved me at the last second by sacrificing herself.
Why? Why would she do something like that for me? The same person who said such horrible things to her. The same person who told her that we were never friends, to begin with.
"A person should never ever go so far to save another person that they are willing to sacarfice themselves because of it!" Frenda said to me that day.
Liar! You are such a liar, Frenda! You did the exact same thing I did! So don't you dare say that to me right before you did the exact thing that you said you hated about me! It's an absolute contradiction that it pissed me off so much! No, what really pissed me off wasn't that Frenda lied to me, what really infuriated me was that she didn't deserve to die! I did! So why? Why am I the only one alive in the end?
"Tsukuyomi, Frenda is-" I said without finishing the sentence. I really didn't want to finish that sentence because I didn't want to admit that Frenda is no longer in this world due to my own selfishness and stupidity. Instead of stating the truth, all I did was grit my teeth to the point I almost thought they would shatter due to how hard I'm gritting them against each other.
"What is it, Aisa-chan? Oh! Look over there! Your phone is ringing like crazy! You should answer whoever is trying to call you first!" Tsukuyomi said as she pointed one of her fingers towards my phone that was ringing just like she said that was beside me on a nearby counter.
I proceeded to grab my phone from said counter, and to my absolute shock, it said a name that was all too familiar to me. Frenda. That is the name of the person who is trying to call me right now. Which means that Frenda is still alive! Thank god! I have to answer the call right now! I thought to myself while I avoided the weird feeling that was looming in the back of my mind and I answered the call.
"Is this the girl named Himegami Aisa? I went throughout the short, blonde-haired girl contacts list and found only one contact with the name "Aisa" but I'm not sure if this is the Esper with the ability Deep Blood herself? The contact also stated next to the name Aisa with the strange word "BFF" whatever that means. So, is this Himegami Aisa, or some other person posing as her?" A certain person said to me, this person was not Frenda, it was a different voice that was coming from my phone. However, it was a voice that I knew all too well, this is the voice of the vampire bastard who killed my friend Frenda! The Vampire King Slipknot!
"What the hell do you want? Answer me dam it! You bastard! I yelled with a voice that was full of insatiable bloodlust. I want to kill him. I want to kill him. I want to kill him. I want to kill this vampire bastard right now!
"Calm down, Himegami Aisa. That tone of voice that you are using is disrespectful and rude. I'm using a polite voice so I should expect no less. It's simply common courtesy to address others with respect when you are talking with someone else. Even if that other person is an enemy." Slipknot said while maintaining a well-mannered voice, though I didn't really care at all.
"I can't believe you have the audacity to speak to me after what you did! You murdered my friend! I should kill you for what you did to her!" I yelled with even more ferocity in my voice than before as I was still gritting my teeth really hard that they might crack at this point.
"You are incorrect. Your friend, though I don't know if that is the correct way to address her after what you said to her, is not dead. Whatever her name is, she is still alive, but the state that she is in is less than ideal. The place where I and my lord are currently is an abandoned castle on the outskirts of Academy City. If you hurry, you might be able to save her, though I doubt it. But, even if you have a chance to save the short, blonde-haired girl, you will first have to fight me. You have no chance, I will kill you in the name of my lord, the Vampire Emperor, Linkin Park. Do you still wish to duel against me?" Slipknot said while still maintain that polite voice of his, that voice is starting to really piss me off.
"You bet your ass I do! But I won't be the one who dies, I will be the one who comes out on top, right after I slice both you and your precious lord into a thousand pieces for being such a pain in my ass!" I yelled with a sadistic smile on my face that was unbefitting of a normal girl.
"The final battle begins when the clock strikes midnight, so do as you wish until then. If you don't appear at the promised time, I will be the one to claim the life of the short, blonde-haired girl myself. Farewell, for now, Himegami Aisa." Slipknot said as he proceeded to end the call.
"Shit!" I yelled with a voice full of rage, as I slammed down my fist hard onto the bed that I was laying on top of, while I bit my lip to the point that it started bleeding and dripped from my mouth and onto my clothes.
"Aisa-chan! Did you and Frenda have a fight? You were being very aggressive on the phone! What happened?!" Tsukuyomi yelled towards me as she was utterly shocked and confused over the conversation she was present for and heard with her own ears.
"Teacher, that wasn't Frenda. The person I was talking to was the enemy. One of the enemies that are still hunting me has captured Frenda and is holding her captive unless I fight them. So, that's exactly what I'm going to do. I'll kill them for what they did to my friend." I said with a voice that lacked any emotion whatsoever, it was the voice of someone who is used to killing, the voice of the murderer, Himegami Aisa.
"Huh? No. No. No. NO! Aisa-chan! Please stop! You've done enough! Frenda wouldn't want you to continue fighting for her! Frenda cares about you! Frenda wants you to live! So just stop already!" Tsukuyomi said with a voice that begged me to stay still.
"What?" I said with a voice that was full of shock and surprise towards what I just heard.
"I'm saying that you don't have to keep hurting yourself anymore! I was so worried about you Aisa! I'll call Judgment and they will handle this! Judgment will save Frenda! So why don't we just go home together? Is that ok, Aisa-chan?" Tsukuyomi said as she continued to plead with me. Tsukuyomi is such a good person. I'll never deserve to have Tsukuyomi in my life.
"I'm sorry, teacher. But, you leave me with no choice." I said as I proceeded to karate chop Tsukuyomi in the neck so hard that it knocked her out and she fell asleep. That's right. I'll never deserve to have a person as good as Tsukuyomi, or anyone else like her in my life. So, all I can do is kill. Yes. All I can do is kill and kill and kill and kill until all of my enemies are dead. That is the fate of the girl named Himegami Aisa. So I won't stop. No. I can't stop. Until all of my enemies, until all vampires are eradicated from this world forever!
I proceeded to pick up the now unconscious Tsukuyomi, put her onto the hospital bed I was resting on and tucked her into the covers. I then left the room I was currently in with a scowl on my face, and a murderous aura that demanded that I would kill anyone who would dare stand in my way. Between me and the enemies, the remaining vampires that I must kill and annihilate.
I then proceeded to escape a certain hospital that I was recovering at and made my way throughout Academy City. I ruthlessly searched a part of Academy City in order to find the place where my enemies are awaiting my arrival. The afternoon sky turned sunset, sunset then turned into night, as I was still searching for the place that I was desperately looking for, though I had no luck whatsoever. But then when the clock struck 11 at night, just an hour before the time that Slipknot told me. I found it. I found the abandoned castle on the outskirts of Academy City.
The abandoned castle, which was something so out of place in a modern technological city such as Academy City, utterly bewildered me. It looked ancient, almost as if the castle lasted for over a thousand years, and somehow managed to survive throughout all of that time. The castle looked so decrepit like if I were to simply blow air towards it, it would all come crumbling down, like a stack of Jenga blocks. I then ignored such useless thoughts and went towards the castle.
I was now right in front of the abandoned castle, as two huge, utterly massive doors laid before me. I then proceeded to push open the huge doors of the castle, using all of my strength to open them, and not caring whether I broke them or not. The huge doors opened, creating a pathway into the castle as I walked into it, and then the massive doors closed against each other as they both made an ear-piercing noise as my fate was now sealed.
I then proceeded to walk throughout the castle, until I stumbled upon a corridor. At that moment, I knew that corridor would lead me towards my enemies, the remaining vampires that I must kill, so I walked into it. The corridor was very long and completely dark, there was not even a single torch, which meant that there was no light whatsoever. However, that was fine. I'm fine with not being able to see because I could simply use my other senses if there was a hypothetical sneak attack. That probably won't happen. The Vampire King Slipknot is cruel but honest and fair. I'll use those flaws in his personality and kill both him and his lord no matter what. I didn't notice but as I was thinking about that a sadistic smile formed on my face.
After what felt like a neverending road that went on forever, I made my way out of the long, dark corridor, until I found the room that I was looking for. The room was utterly gigantic; it had a massive throne in the center, a throne that was made for kings. I then looked towards the person that was sitting on top of the huge throne.
A small child with dark, black hair that resembled a raven's coat was sitting on the throne. The child was wearing armor that was pure white, covered with jewels of many different colors, and had a ring on each of his fingers and thumbs. The most striking detail about the child, however, was the golden crown on his head with a red ruby in the center of it, despite his young appearance; he was none other than a true king. No. That's wrong. That child was none other than the Vampire Emperor. The same vampire who commanded all of the enemies that I have fought against. The same vampire that I have been waiting to meet for a very long time.
"Wow. I'm surprised. You are earlier than I expected. I thought that you would either do one of two things. First, you would prepare yourself to the point that you felt you were fully ready and would appear at the last second before midnight. Or second, you would chicken out, and let your so-called 'friend' suffer and die a cruel, merciless death, so that you could save yourself and only yourself. But, you completely contradicted my expectations by doing something so unheard of, appearing almost an entire hour earlier to a fight that you have no chance of winning, Himegami Aisa!" The Vampire Emperor said with a smile on his face and revealing his sharp, vampire teeth.
"Are you done talking now? I have come to kill you for everything that you have done to me. You and your fellow vampire bastards kept coming after me again and again. I wasn't allowed to have a normal childhood because you kept coming after me. But, it is what it is. What is unforgivable, is how you vampire bastards didn't stop hunting me! You kidnapped my teacher! You murdered my best friend! You did so many horrible things to me all so that you could kill me! Well, too bad! I'll be the one who kills you right here and right now!" I said with a sadistic smile on my face as I already imagined the weapon that I'm going to use to kill the vampire bastard that is roughly only ten meters away from me. I can easily close that distance and kill him!
"Not so fast! As I said earlier, I will be the one who fights you first! My lord doesn't have to waste his precious time by fighting someone who is utterly worthless like you, Himegami Aisa!" Slipknot yelled as he suddenly appeared between me and the Vampire Emperor with a fighting stance of his own.
"Don't worry. There's no need for you to want to die right now. Because once I kill your so-called 'lord' I'll kill you next. So get the hell out of my way, you vampire bastard!" I said with a scowl on my face as I gave a death stare directly towards the Vampire King Slipknot's eyes.
"Ha. Haha. Hahahahaha! Bravo! Against all odds, you somehow continue to impress me! It is so completely impossible, that I find myself having a hard time believing it. But! I cannot deny how I feel about you! You are quite amusing, for a human, Himegami Aisa!" The Vampire Emperor said as he laughed hysterically with a huge grin on his face.
"Huh? I don't understand. What's funny about this situation? What the hell is so damm humorous about me wanting to kill the both of you vampire bastards to the point that there is nothing left of you bastards after I finish you both off! Answer me! Answer me right now you fake emperor!" I yelled at the top of my lungs with unquenchable bloodlust in my voice, as I was now more exasperated right now than I ever was in my entire life so far.
"Hahahahaha! You don't understand? You really don't understand? Hahahahahahahahaha! You never fail to impress me do you, Himegami Aisa! And here I thought you were some righteous hero whose only desire to continue living is to save anyone but themselves! But for the first time in almost a thousand years, I was wrong! I was absolutely wrong about you! Your only desire is to kill! That's it! All you live for is to kill again and again and again and again!" The Vampire Emperor yelled as he continued to laugh hysterically.
"Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up! Shut the fuck up! What the hell are you talking about?! I don't understand at all! What do you mean my only desire is to kill?! That doesn't make any sense?! I'm here to obtain my revenge for you vampire bastards hurting Tsukuyomi! I'm here to obtain my revenge for you vampire bastards killing Nanoha! I'm here to kill you, vampire bastards, for being such a pain in my ass for my entire life! Those are the reasons I want to kill you, bastards! You left me with no choice to kill again and again and again and again! So what the hell do you mean by that my only desire is to kill!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
I'm mad. No. I'm utterly enraged! I'm so enraged right now that I can barely think straight! Wait a minute. Why the hell am I having this chitchat with that vampire bastard? It's useless. It's completely useless! I shouldn't need to wait any longer. No. I can't wait any longer! All I've done is wait and wait and wait and wait! I'm so sick of waiting all the dam time! So I'm not going to wait any longer! I'm finishing this. I'm finishing this once and for all! I'll kill these vampire bastards! I'll kill them! I'll kill them all! Every last one of them! Then I can finally be proud! Then I can finally be proud that I don't have to fight these vampire bastards anymore!
"So you still have not realized it. Even though the answer is completely obvious, I'll answer it. You have not once said that you wanted to save Frenda!" The Vampire Emperor said with a sadistic smile as he then pointed one of his fingers towards a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes who was wearing a black sailor top and a pleated skirt while said girl was chained up to a nearby wall.
"Huh?" I was utterly speechless as my eyes were directed by the Vampire Emperor's finger towards the blonde-haired girl who was chained up to a nearby wall and unable to move at all. No. That's wrong. Even if the girl was able to move, she wouldn't do so. Because that girl has a certain look on her face. A face I know too well. A look that I once had on my face when I desperately wanted to be saved. The girl has the face of someone who has lost the will to live.
"You bastards. You fucking vampire bastards! Why does she look like that? What did you do? What did you do? What did you do? What the hell did you do to her?! What the hell did you do to Frenda?!" I screamed at the top of my lungs for the third time, I screamed so loudly that I was spitting my own blood from my throat and onto the hard, stone floor.
"My lord! This pathetic little child is insulting you so much! You gave her your own respect and common courtesy even though she is an enemy! However, all that child is doing is stepping on your goodwill without any manners to show to you at all! Please, my lord! Please, let me kill this child so that she learns not to insult you any further!" Slipknot yelled as he gave a death stare of his own directly towards my eyes as he was fully prepared to kill me the instant that the Vampire Emperor gives him a confirmation to end my life. Does this vampire bastard really think he can kill me? Dumbass! I'll kill him and his 'lord' so quickly that they won't know what hit them!
"Silence! You will not be the one who kills this girl! If you go as far to even touch her, I will split your skull, rip your heart out, and then obliterate you from all of existence! Have I made myself clear?! Answer me, Slipknot!" The Vampire Emperor yelled with utmost savagery in his voice that was not present in the slightest until now. Up to this point, the Vampire Emperor was using a childlike voice that absolutely fit with his appearance, even though he was apparently the Vampire Emperor. However, now the Vampire Emperor's voice was utterly ruthless with no remorse at all. I was now utterly shocked at how that vampire bastard's voice changed so drastically. It was like this so-called 'lord' was now a completely different person.
"My lord, I apologize. I apologize with every fiber of my being for how I have shamelessly insulted you. I had no consideration for your true feeling regarding this child. Please, my lord! Please, forgive me for my careless mistakes!" Slipknot yelled at the top of his lungs as he was now kneeling towards his lord with the utmost respect and a pained expression on his face.
"It's fine. I will forgive your careless mistake because you are my loyal dog, Slipknot. But! If you were to dare make just one more careless mistake, I will have your head in my hands. Anyway, I apologize for that rude interruption that prevented me from answering your question sooner. Now, the answer you seek is quite complex, so I will explain what occurred before you arrived here in my palace! But first, I have a question, that you may know the answer to. The young, blonde-haired girl's name is Frenda, am I correct in assuming that?" The Vampire Emperor said with his signature childlike voice again, but why? I'm so damm confused!
"Yeah, that's right. Her name is Frenda. But, don't you dare ever say her name again! You don't deserve to call Frenda by her name after what you did to her! However, now I have a question of my own. Why? Why the hell are you being so dam nice to me? I'm your enemy, right? If that is the case, then why the hell are you using that pleasant voice of yours only to me? I don't understand at all? You do realize that I'm here to kill you right?!" I yelled at the top of my lungs again as I continued to spit blood from my throat and onto the hard, stone floor.
"You really don't understand? I thought I already stated why I'm addressing you this way. Whatever. I'll simply repeat myself. I find you quite amusing, Himegami Aisa! You are the first human to amuse me in such a way in almost a thousand years! Rejoice, young girl! You have earned my deep admiration and respect. However, it's a shame that we are forced to kill each other. If you weren't my natural enemy, then I would have made you a vampire without a second thought. Hell, I would have considered making you my bride! But! That is utterly impossible! At the very least, I will adhere to your wishes by referring to your friend as the young, blonde-haired girl from this point forward. Is that an acceptable way to address your friend, Himegami Aisa?" The Vampire Emperor said with a huge grin on his face as he pointed one of his fingers towards me.
"I still don't understand why you are interested in me, but, whatever. I don't really care, although I'd rather die by being thrown in shark-infested waters before I would ever consider being your wife, you vampire bastard. But yeah, that's fine if you call Frenda by that, just don't say her name ever again or I will make sure you regret it by slicing your head off with my blood-red katana! So what are waiting for? Answer my question regarding what the hell you did to Frenda. Unless you want to die now, so-called 'lord' of vampires!" I said with aggression in my voice as I was finding it difficult to hold back my anger, so I kept on yelling and spitting out my blood from my throat and onto the hard, stone floor, which was now becoming red with my own blood.
"Oh, that's right. Before I'm able to properly give you an answer to your question that you desire to know the truth of, I realized that I haven't introduced myself to you, Himegami Aisa! My name is the Vampire Emperor Linkin Park! I'm honored to be in the presence of someone I now greatly respect, do you feel the same way, Himegami Aisa?" The Vampire Emperor said while revealing his true name to me in a formal way with a bow to boot. The Vampire Emperor's true name being Linkin Park.
"The feeling is one-sided. In fact, I hate your guts with every fiber of my being, you vampire bastard! Now answer my dam question already! And do it quickly, before I change my mind and decide to just kill you right now!" I yelled at the top of my lungs with ferocity in my voice as I tried to hold back some of the blood that was dripping from my mouth though it was a fruitless effort since my blood kept falling onto the hard, stone floor that was being dyed the color red with my own blood. I hate him. I hate him. I hate him. I really hate this vampire bastard! What am I waiting for?! I should just kill him already!
"Hahahahaha! I love how you are always so upfront and honest with your feelings towards me! You are such an enticing girl, Himegami Aisa! Hahahahahahaha! But! Without further ado, I will give you the answer to the question that you oh so desperately wish to know the truth of, even though it means you have to wait a little bit longer before you can try to kill me! Anyway, since the answer is quite complex, I must give you a thorough explanation so that the answer you seek becomes clear and understandable. Just the other day, I was simply relaxing on my throne, while waiting for the Vampire King Slipknot to arrive back here after I commanded him to kill you. My apologies for that, though, it all turned out well in the end, because you are still alive, Himegami Aisa! Linkin Park said with a huge grin on his face as he put a fist to his cheek.
"Anyway, in contrast to what I expected Slipknot to do, he decided to do something that was completely unexpected, even for me! The Vampire King Slipknot decided to return, not with your head in his hands, but instead with the young, blonde-haired girl that you refer to as your friend! The whole situation utterly surprised me! I almost considered killing them both before Slipknot gave me a proper explanation of why he decided to kidnap your friend and bring her here of all places. However, two of the three reasons he explained to me were so ridiculous, that it enraged me to the point that I would have killed him right then and there if it wasn't for the other reason being somewhat clever of him to come up with. That reason, being a proposition of using the young, blonde-haired girl as bait in order to lure you here! And guess what? It worked with flying colors! Aren't you glad, Himegami Aisa?" Linkin Park said while smiling softly which was an unnatural expression for him to have on his face.
"Yeah. I'm so utterly thrilled that I was able to meet you that all I want to do is cut you into many different pieces so that I could show you how much you meant to me! Now finish the dam story, you vampire bastard!" I said at first in a sarcastic tone which returned to a cruel and unforgiving voice as I snapped right back at the Vampire Emperor for being so annoying!
"Hahahahaha! You always say everything just how it is! However, I don't mind, since I find your honesty to be quite entertaining! So I don't mind all that much, even though, all you have said so far to me were brutal death threats without any remorse whatsoever. But! You are indeed right! It's about time that I finish telling you what happened by giving you the conclusion of the events that transpired here which involved your friend! So, when the Vampire King Slipknot gave his one good proposition of what to do with the young, blond-haired girl, I decided that I might as well let your friend live! Slipknot proved that keeping the young, blonde-haired girl alive was indeed worthwhile. However, that wasn't enough for me to forgive him for his other two ideas, so Slipknot had to atone for what he did by cutting off one of his own arms!" Linkin Park said with a soft smile on his face which then turned into a sadistic smile.
"But! At the same exact moment when both me and the Vampire King Slipknot both had our guards down, your friend took that opportunity to strike! The young, blonde-haired girl threw a bomb that was cleverly in the disguise of a child's stuffed animal, towards Slipknot to distract him long enough so that she could try and kill me. It was a genius tactic with flawless execution. Hell, it may have possibly worked if she knew my abilities beforehand, but your friend completely underestimated my power. I did tell you that I'm the Vampire Emperor, did I not? With that knowledge, it's only natural to assume that I have extraordinary abilities that allow me to rule over all vampires with an iron fist. But! The young, blonde-haired girl must have assumed the title of 'Vampire Emperor' was nothing more than a title, and she still decided to try to kill me nevertheless." The Vampire Emperor said with a sadistic smile on his face that only grew.
"But then at the last possible second, I decided to strike with an attack of my own. It is only natural to defend yourself when you are being attacked, is it not? So I used one of my abilities on the young, blonde-haired girl, that ability being, God's Mind, one of the three ultimate gifts that I have obtained after assuming the role of the Vampire Emperor when I killed my predecessor. God's Mind is an ability that allows me to create an imaginary world within the person's mind that I'm using the ability on that only affects said, person. This ability isn't completely overpowered, because I can only use it on a single person at a given time. However, it is still quite useful, since it allows me to temporarily incapacitate an enemy when I use it on them. This is how God's Mind works, when I create an imaginary world in the person's mind I can only use something that has either already happened or something that is going to happen." Linkin Park said while maintaining that sadistic smile on his face.
"Which means for my ability to work, I must use an event that involves the person that I'm using God's Mind on by relying on said person's past, present, or future. But! For God's Mind to be effective in the slightest, I must use one of my other Ultimate Gifts so that it can work properly. This other Ultimate Gift that I'm referring to is my second ability of three that I have acquired. That ability's name is God's Eye. God's Eye allows me to view an entire person's past, present, and future, in an instant. So with God's Eye, I can pinpoint a time in a person's life that has already happened or has yet to happen, and with God's Mind, I can make said person experience that event within their own mind. But! Both of these abilities would be absolutely useless, unless, I pick an event that made the person experience great distress." Linkin Park said as his sadistic smile grew larger and wider.
"That is how both of my abilities work and how they benefit each other. However, when I went through the young, blonde-haired girl's mind, there wasn't really anything from her past or present that she regretted, your friend is a person who was quite satisfied with how her life turned out up to this point. Fortunately, there was a time in the future, a time that she has not experienced yet that drove her to complete despair with ease. That event is one that will occur in only a few months. An event when the young, blonde-haired girl is murdered by the boss that she works for as a mercenary!" Linkin Park said with a huge sadistic smile on his face.
"Huh? What? No. No. No. No! Stop it! Stop lying to me dam it! That is not possible! That is completely impossible! What the hell are you talking about? What the hell do you mean by saying that Frenda is killed in the future?! Why would she be killed? For what reason would anyone want to kill her? That doesn't make any sense! Frenda is a good person! Far better than I will ever be! So why the hell would anyone want to kill an innocent, kind, and loving person! It doesn't make any fucking sense at all! Just stop lying to me, you vampire bastard!" I screamed as I then collapsed onto the hard, stone floor, on my knees, while continuing to spit out my blood from my throat and onto the ground due to the pain I was feeling.
"It is not a lie. I have not uttered a single lie throughout our entire discussion since you first appeared here, in my palace, Himegami Aisa! I have told you the truth and nothing but the truth. Your friend, the young, blonde-haired girl, is destined to die in a few months' time. Unfortunately, even if I wanted to save the young, blonde-haired girl from her own fate, it is already set in stone. And if I tried to save your friend, regardless of those indisputable facts, all it would do is create a butterfly effect that would in turn threaten this entire world by acting on the knowledge of the future. So, I apologize, but the young, blonde-haired girl is doomed to die a cruel, merciless death. It can't be helped, but, I don't understand, why do you care if she dies or not?" Linkin Park said with a confused expression on his face. That instant, I went into a mindless rage.
"What do you mean? What do you mean? What do you mean? What the hell do you mean? What the hell are you even saying?! Why wouldn't I care if Frenda dies?! Frenda is my friend! I love her! I love Frenda so much! Frenda is kind! Frenda is a good person! Frenda is my partner who is helping me kill you, vampire bastards! So of course I give a shit about her! Why would you even say such an ignorant thing?" I screamed at the top of my lungs again as I started to cough loudly and spit some more blood onto the hard, red, stone floor.
"You're lying! Everything that you said about the young, blonde-haired girl was a lie! You do realize that if that girl was indeed your friend just like you said previously, then your goal would be to save her! However, you have not said that you wanted to save that girl a single time! Not even once! How could you not understand why? The answer is so obvious that I'm utterly dumbfounded that you haven't realized it earlier! You are a murderer! All you want to do is kill again, again, again, and again! Do you know how I can tell? It is because I'm a murderer too! I love to kill just like you! So I can understand your urge to kill anything and everything in your path! That is because we are the same! We both love to kill people! It doesn't matter if they are innocent or not! We both obtain a feeling of satisfaction by killing people! But not just killing them! We both like to hurt them to the point that they scream in agony! We both make people want to wish that they were dead! And then, only then, do we give them the relief of killing them! I was so interested in you because you are the same as me! So why do you lie to me? Why do you lie by saying that all you want to do is save your friend? I can't understand why you would lie and say it was all for her when that girl was never your friend, to begin with! All you've done is use her again and again and again and again! And then when you are done using her, you will want to kill her! Because all you have ever felt for that girl, for Frenda Seivelun, is the desire to kill her at the end!" Linkin Park yelled at the top of his lungs while tears dripped from his eyes.
"No. No. No. NO! That's not what I want! That's not what I want at all! I love Frenda! So why? Why the hell would I ever want to kill a person that I love so much?!" I screamed at the top of my lungs for the final time as I collapsed onto the hard, red, stone floor because of the pain that I was feeling. I was in so much pain, not just because of screaming as loud as I possibly can and repeatedly, but also for learning that Frenda is going to die no matter what. Learning that one of the people you care about the most will die is not painful. It's absolute suffering! I don't understand? Why does Frenda need to die? Why can't I just die instead of her?
"So you still don't understand? Even after I have explained your sole desire for continuing to live as explicitly and clear as possible? Fine then. Have it your way. I will make you learn your only reason for living by showing it to you! You will realize that you are a murderer! You will realize that we are the same! And then you will learn that you weren't sad that Frenda died! You were sad because you were unable to kill her in the end!" Linkin Park yelled at the top of his lungs with a grimace on his face as he pointed one of his fingers towards me.
"Ultimate Gift: God's Mind!" Linkin Park roared at the top of his lungs with a sadistic smile on his face as his raven-like hair stood straight up into the air while the scenery around both me and the Vampire Emperor proceeded to change. My eyes were then forced shut as a few words were whispered in my ears. 'See the unimaginable present!' And then everything changed forever.
Hello everyone! Ren Here! So for this chapter, I wanted Aisa to finally confront the Vampire Emperor himself, Linkin Park. As well as giving context to what happened at the end of the last chapter with Frenda. Things are really heating up now with Aisa getting closer and closer by confronting the enemies are standing in her way. But, first Aisa must find her own resolve in order to stand a chance at defeating the vampires that remain. Will Aisa be able to face the demons that have been torturing her mind for many years?
