Chapter 12: Somewhere I Belong Part 2
"Hey Aisa, wake up!" A voice called out to me while I was in a deep slumber, the sound that the voice gave off was oddly familiar. I can't help but wonder who it is, the voice resembled the way a girl that is around my age speaks, but that's not enough to go on if I want to figure out who is currently speaking to me. Eh, whatever, I want to sleep for like five more minutes so I'm just going to ignore it till then.
"Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!" I snored as I disregarded the voice that was speaking to me, and while I continued to remain in my deep sleep. I'm still very tired, probably because I stayed up till somewhere around 3 AM, and decided to binge-watched some new popular Anime series. Also, since it's probably 7 in the morning right now, that means I only obtained four hours of sleep at most. So, I could care less to whoever is trying to wake me up right now.
"Are you kidding me?! Dam it! You are really making me mad, so you better wake up right now! If you don't, I'll make sure you regret it, Aisa!" The same feminine voice continued to yell towards me, as it demanded that I get my ass up from my bed. Ha! As if I'd do that! There's no way in hell, I'm going to get up right now! I'm way too tired, and my bed is so damm comfy! Maybe I'll take a day off from school by faking that I'm sick. Yes, in fact, I'll totally do that! It's decided! I'm spending the rest of the day in my bed and no one is going to stop me! Hahahahaha! I laughed to myself as I drifted off into an even deeper slumber than before.
"That's it! I've had it with you ignoring me! You are going to get your ass up so that we can both go to school right now! So take this, Omega Unstoppable Murdering Suplex!" The same feminine voice yelled at the top of her lungs while she grabbed my entire body with both of her hands as she then immediately slammed me onto my bedroom floor with superhuman strength.
"Owww! That really hurts! Who are you?! Why did you wake me up from my peaceful and pleasant sleep?! I wasn't even bothering anyone!" I screamed while I felt the aftereffects of receiving such utterly incredible force onto me that rivaled the huge meteor that crash-landed on earth and annihilated all of the dinosaurs. Ugh, that hurt like hell! I'm going to find out who did this to me even if it's the last thing I do! I tried to learn who the girl that attacked me was, however, my eyes were still suffering from the devastating blow, so everything was really blurry.
"What the hell are you even talking about?! What do you mean by 'who am I' Are you joking?! I come to your house every single day so I could make sure you are ready for school as a good friend and that's the response that I get?! Jeez! I don't even know why I'm still friends with a careless idiot like you?!" The same feminine voice yelled towards me as it continued to complain about my actions and scolded me to boot.
Why, you! That's it! That's the last straw! I was just enjoying myself by sleeping, then this jackass comes out of nowhere and suplexes me onto the ground?! And right after that, she has the audacity to continue to complain to me about not recognizing her, even though I can't even think straight due to the attack that SHE used on me?! Who the hell does this girl think she is?! I'm so going to get her back for this! As soon as I'm able to see properly, I'm definitely going to kick this girl's ass, no matter what!
After what felt like forever, even though it was probably only five seconds of time that passed, my vision finally returned. I can finally see you again! However, I don't really care what this girl actually looks like! This girl is going to pay for suplexing me to the floor and nagging me for not recognizing her but in spite of that, she still attacked first! How the hell was I even supposed to realize who she was when the first thing I awake to is having my body slammed onto my bedroom floor?! It doesn't make any sense, so it's payback time!
"I don't even care who you are anymore! No one slams me onto the floor and gets away with it! So how about you take this! Red Katana!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as I rushed towards the girl in front of me while not even looking towards her as I might as well have been blind due to the unrelenting fury that has overtaken me.
But then, at the last possible second, right before I was about to land a blow against this girl so that I could satisfy my hunger for revenge, I proceeded to stop in place.
"Wait, what did I just say?" I said as I was now confused due to what I previously said only a few seconds ago. 'Red Katana' what the hell is that? I wondered to myself as I stood in place as I was then met with a blow that landed on my forehead.
Ow! Was that a finger flick?! I still don't even know what I just said! I don't recall ever saying 'Red Katana' in my entire life till now so why the hell did I just say those words? But, you know what, never mind that! There's something even more important that I have to know! Who is this girl that is in front of me? Why does her voice sound so familiar?! And why the hell is she so dam annoying and somehow at the same time I can't find any resolve whatsoever to actually obtain my revenge against her?!
"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU-huh?" I screamed at the top of my lungs as I finally opened my eyes in order to learn the girl's identity who is still currently right in front of me. I proceeded to look towards the girl, and to my absolute shock and surprise, I know her. I mean, I already recognized the girl's voice, but I simply thought that it could have been anyone. I assumed that the voice probably belonged to just some random girl that I never talked to that also coincidently attends A Certain High School.
But my suspicion couldn't be any further from the truth. When I first opened my eyes and looked at the girl, I instantly knew who she was. How could I forget about her? Her brunette hair was fashioned into cute pigtails that would fit well with any shy, timid girl. Even though her true personality was indeed the exact opposite of any other girl who would have similar looks when compared to her because I know her feisty, aggressive personality. That same personality that frightens almost everyone who attends A Certain High School other than a few select people, that included me of course. Because this girl's personality is the main reason why she is so dear to my heart. This girl is none other than my best friend in the entire world. Her name is-
"Hey Kouhai, is that you?" I said with a relieved voice and a cheerful smile on my face as I recognized the girl who is still in front of me. I just can't stay mad at her, no matter what.
"Kouhai is not my name! It's Nanoha! N-A-N-O-H-A! I know that you know that it pisses me off, so why do you still do say it to me?! Hell, I'm not even your Kouhai anymore because I managed to skip a grade, due to my genius-level intellect. So call me Nanoha dam it! Hey! You hear me, Aisa?!" Nanoha said with a rage-filled aura coming off of her body as her pigtails became undone and her brunette hair stood straight up. Yep, that girl is none other than Nanoha Nakamura, my best friend, and the greatest kouhai in the entire world! In my opinion, of course!
"Thanks for waking me up like you always do, Kouhai! Also sorry about not recognizing you sooner, I'm very tired. But, I appreciate you always coming to my house in the morning so that I'm never late for school! Plus, it's always nice to see that the first thing I wake up to is your adorable face! FuFuFu!" I said with a smile on my face as I giggled towards Nanoha while being completely honest and upfront about my feelings towards her as always.
"Ugh! You are still calling me 'Kouhai' while ignoring everything I said again. Why do I even bother with someone like you? Huh? Uh? Eh? Um, you are welcome, I guess. I'm glad that you finally recognized me, it certainly took you long enough. But, jeez, why do you always have to say it like that?! You are so weird, Baka-Aisa!" Nanoha said with a blushing red face as she proceeded to flick me in my forehead again for the second time today.
"Hahaha! I'm just messing with you Nanoha! You do realize that you are incredibly easy to tease, do you not? And at the same time, it's very fun and satisfying to boot! Anyway, I'll get dressed right now. So, tell my folks that I'll be downstairs in five minutes!" I said with a smile on my face as I proceeded to casually walk towards my closet in order to grab my school uniform out of it.
"Well, stop doing it then, it pisses me off! Whatever, I guess, at least you are getting ready for school now as a respectable student should. Yeah, sure, I'll go tell your mom that you will be downstairs in three minutes. I'll see you in a bit." Nanoha said as she proceeded to walk out of my room without any worries at all over what she just said. Wait, what did Nanoha just say?
"Um? Kouhai, I could have sworn that you just said that you will tell my folks that I'll be downstairs in three minutes? Did I say five minutes? Didn't you hear me correctly?" I said with a confused expression on my face as Nanoha suddenly stopped right as she was just about to walk out of my bedroom.
"I heard you, but didn't you hear me? I said three minutes. For waking up five whole minutes after the time you are supposed to wake up, that being 7 AM of course, as well as intentionally ignoring me as I was just trying to help you as a friend, you will receive a punishment. That punishment is a reduction of two minutes to the time it takes you to get ready. You can do that right? Don't answer that, you will so make it snappy. I don't have all day to wait for you, since I'm also a student just like you, Aisa-chan!" Nanoha said with a mischievous grin on her face as she told me the lack of time that I have left to get ready.
"Huh? Eh? EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH? Oh no! I know your mad at me, Kouhai, but isn't this a little too cruel?! What is your wonderful Senpai who is also the most beautiful girl who attends A Certain High School is supposed to do?" I said with a dumbfounded expression on my face as I pointed towards Nanoha with one of my fingers in absolute shock.
"Oh, well look at that. You only have two and a half minutes to get ready now, so what are you waiting for? Also, one last thing, if you are even a second late, I'll just go ahead and eat your breakfast. Your mom has already given me the affirmative to do that if you are indeed late, so like I just said earlier, see you in a bit, Aisa-chan." Nanoha said with a smug smile that foretold the countdown to my approaching destruction if I'm indeed late when arriving downstairs.
"What?! No! Please! Anything but that! Why do you have to be so mean to me, Kouhai?" I said with a shocked expression on my face as I proceeded to change out of my favorite Anime inspired pajamas that were decorated with many characters of popular shonen manga, even though I'm a girl. And into my standard white and blue school uniform that is your normal shirt and blouse with a ribbon accompanying it that is required to be worn by every single girl who attends A Certain High School. I was changing my clothes with such lightning speed that I almost forgot to put my bra on. Jeez, that would have been so embarrassing if that happened to me.
After changing into my regular school uniform, I proceeded to brush my teeth in a single minute, and then I ran down the stairs at top speed in order to meet the upcoming deadline that has been set on me by Nanoha. And then with only one second to spare, I made it downstairs and into the living room, while gasping loudly due to exhaustion. I sprinted downstairs so fast that I honestly think that I have never run faster than I did just now in my entire life up to this point. The speed that I used can only be compared to a certain legendary Jamaican sprinter, I think his name was insane butt? I'm probably wrong about that, but whatever, at least I made it with time to spare.
"See, I told you that you could do it if you tried, Aisa. However, you only had a single second to spare, so I almost took a bite from your Belgian Waffles. But, I didn't because you arrived just in the nick of time. Congratulations, Himegami Aisa, your breakfast is completely preserved and untouched!" Nanoha said as she proceeded to slap me on my back as she continued to congratulate me on my right-on-time arrival.
"Oh, good morning, Aisa-chan! Are you feeling well? You don't need to worry about anything! I and Nanoha-chan were just joking with you, I would have never let you go to school without the breakfast that I made for you, so everything is a-ok!" A woman said while revealing herself as she stepped out of the kitchen and into the living room where I and Nanoha were currently in at the moment. The woman had long, straight, black hair that complimented her beautiful features more than my hair which is the same exact color ever would in comparison with each other. The woman was also wearing a pink apron that was decorated with many cute faces of cats as she delivered my breakfast to me. This woman was none other than my mother.
"Wait, what did you just say? Huh? Eh? So you not only were you joking with me, Kouhai, but mommy was in on it too?! Ugh, you are both so mean, you guys are the absolute worst!" I yelled with a pouting expression on my face as I turned away from both of them in order to avoid Nanoha and my mother.
"Hey, I knew you had it in you, so even if I wanted to eat the delicious waffles that your mother made for you, I would never have the chance to actually do it. And just like your mother said, 'there is nothing to worry about and everything is ok so don't avoid the both of us. Also, I would never eat your breakfast because I'm your best friend, and that would be a pretty crappy thing for a best friend to do, let alone a friend in general. Plus, I would have never said such a thing if you hadn't overslept and didn't ignore me, so turn around, eat those delicious waffles that your mother made for you, and stop sulking. Hey, did you hear me, Aisa?" Nanoha said as proceeded to put her right on my left shoulder in order to make me turn around with force.
"I'm not sulking! Ugh, fine, I guess it's whatever. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Those Belgian Waffles sure do smell absolutely delicious!" I said as the pouting expression on my face turned into a gleeful expression that was full of joy as I stared towards the nearby Belgian waffles while I licked my lips as I couldn't wait to eat them for much longer.
"Yes! Yes! Do enjoy these delicious waffles that I made for you, Aisa-chan! And make sure that you don't take too long to eat them or otherwise you will be late to school! Anyway, I hope you love them, Aisa-chan!" My mother said as she proceeded to put a plate onto the living room table that had Belgian Waffles on top of it as she then walked back into the kitchen so that she could probably wash some dishes.
"Thank you so much! I always love whatever you make for me mommy, and especially your delicious Belgian Waffles! So thanks again for making them for me, my amazing mommy! And without further ado, Itadakimasu!" I said with a delightful expression on my face as I took huge pieces of Belgian Waffles into my mouth as I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast to the fullest.
Five minutes later
"Wow! That was so delicious! I think that those were the most delicious Belgian Waffles that you have made yet Mommy! No, I take that back. I honestly think that those were the most delicious Belgian Waffles that I have ever eaten in my entire life! Now, I can die happy and satisfied with my life!" I said with a huge smile on my face as I rubbed my belly in satisfaction with overeating delicious food.
"Hey, Aisa! I thought that the most delicious Belgian Waffles that you ever ate were made by me?!"
"Uh? Um? Huh? Who just said that?" I said with a confused expression on my face as I looked around with my own eyes and at what was nearby me in order to figure out where that voice came from. That voice, that voice sounded like someone I knew very well, but who is it?
"What do you mean 'who was that?! Your mother just said 'aw thanks, I love you too!' You seriously didn't hear her? Were you zoning out again? Hey Aisa, you better not do that in class or I swear to god that I will kick your as-I mean butt, yeah that's what I was totally going to say! So don't you dare question me any further regarding it! Hey, are you even listening to me, Aisa?!" Nanoha said as she flicked me in my forehead again for the third time today in an effort to obtain my full and focused attention.
"Ow! Yes, yes, I'm listening to you! You just said that my mother was the person who was talking to me! And then you asked me if I was zoning out, after that, you proceeded to become pissed off and almost threatened to kick my ass in close proximity to my mother. So yeah, I heard everything you said, making it completely unnecessary for you to then flick me in my forehead like that just because I didn't respond quick enough to you, Kouhai!" I said an exaggerated expression on my face which then turned into a sly smile as I proceeded to get Nanoha back for that third finger flick that she did against my forehead for the third time today and the morning isn't even over yet!
"Aw, what? Why would you say it like that and so distinctly and clearly to boot?! On second thought, I suppose that it makes sense. Certainly, I must have lost my temper because that finger flick was indeed unnecessary. Yeah, I have realized my mistake. For that, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that to you when you didn't deserve it in the slightest. Again, I apologize for my rudeness, Aisa." Nanoha said with a pissed-off look on her face that immediately turned into an embarrassed expression as she blushed bright red after learning the error of her ways and bowed towards me as an apology for her actions against me.
"Apology accepted! O-oh, u-um, y-you don't have to g-go that f-far, K-kouhai! The finger flick towards me didn't hurt at all, I only acted as it hurt me so that you feel bad for me, though for the most part, it was just a joke! Really, I'm not lying! I'm fine! I'm completely one-hundred percent fine! S-so, y-you d-don't have to g-go that f-far to apologize to m-me, K-kouhai!" I said with a worried expression on my face while my hands flailed around all over the place as I proceeded to stutter multiple times throughout my explanation of my feelings regarding Nanoha's apology towards her to the point that I resembled a famous actress from a popular comedy movie. Wait a minute! What did Nanoha mean by I didn't deserve that this time?
"You lied? So you were lying to me?! I can't believe you! And for a second I genuinely felt really bad for you! Ugh! Jeez, you are such a jerk, Baka-Aisa!" Nanoha said as she proceeded to flick me in my forehead again making that the fourth time not only today but this morning after she learned that I was joking around with her because I wanted to see her reaction. Didn't she hear everything else that I said to her? Does this girl have selective hearing? Because it seems to me that the girl named Nakamura Nanoha only decides to hear what she wants to hear.
After finishing breakfast along with another one of me and Nanoha's comedic exchanges that usually end up with me receiving pain one way or another, we both stood up from the couch we were resting on. I and Nanoha then grabbed each of our backpacks as we proceeded to make our way out of my house. But just as I and Nanoha were about to leave, a certain woman wearing a pink apron that was decorated with faces of many cute cats came rushing towards us.
"I just noticed that you two were about to leave, but there is something that a mother must always say to her daughter before she leaves the house and heads to school! Have fun and make sure to stay safe! Just know that I will always love you no matter how far you are from me! I love you, Aisa-chan! And I'll repeat it as many times as you need me to say it! Anyway, see you later, Aisa-chan!" My mother said as she proceeded to hug me tight and close as she peppered many kisses onto my head which made me blush bright red out of embarrassment.
"Alright! Alright! Alright! I get it! You can let go of me now! Jeez! It's not like I'm planning on going anywhere anytime soon! I'll be seeing you again before dinnertime so you don't need to say all of that stuff! Ugh, see you later, mommy." I said while still blushing bright red on my face as I waved a hand that signaled goodbye for now and I then grabbed Nanoha's left hand in order to make a swift and clean getaway from my overprotective and embarrassing mother.
Afterward, as we both left my house, I noticed a certain expression from my best friend, the ever-reliable and wonderful Kouhai, Nanoha, who I've been acquainted with for quite some time. Nanoha was now making a face that really annoyed me as we were now heading to A Certain High School with a strict time limit of roughly fifteen minutes, though it was still plenty of time to also have a few minutes to spare once we both arrive there. But back to that face of hers.
"Hey Kouhai, what's with that look you have on your face? I don't remember there being anything that funny that happened recently?" I said with a demanding expression on my face as I stared directly towards Nanoha's eyes with my own eyes. She better not be thinking about that.
"Me? Oh, nothing all that important. I was just reflecting back on the lovey-dovey stuff that your mother said to you and how you reacted with refusing her love and admiration. I never expected you to be momma's girl but I guess I was wrong. How cute." Nanoha said with a smug smile on her face as put her right hand close to her chin and stared directly towards me.
"W-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-WHAT ARE YOU EVEN SAYING?! First of all, that's not my fault! It's mommy- I MEAN my mother's fault for being so weird around me! Second of all, I'm NOT a momma's girl. And finally, third of all, HOW THE HELL IS THAT REMOTELY CUTE?!" I said with an absolutely shocked expression on my face while I bolted several many meters away from Nanoha as I then pointed towards her with one of my fingers and refuted everything she said to me in the order she said those inexplicable things to me.
"What do you mean? I don't understand, weren't you the one who always finds it amusing to see me embarrassed? But, now when the tables have turned against you, now it's not funny? Ha! You are quite the hypocrite, aren't you, Aisa-chan! Fufufu!" Nanoha said with a smile on her face as she proceeded to wink her right eye towards me while laughing over the over-the-top reaction that I showed her. I then halted myself as I stopped right near Nanoha.
"I understand now. I guess that I must be a hypocrite for not understanding sooner. But, jeez, since when did you start calling me Aisa-chan too?" It's not like anyone other mommy- I mean my mother does it, so why are you calling me that?" I said with a bewildered expression on my face as I looked directly towards Nanoha's back.
"What are you saying Aisa-chan?! Did you forget that I always called you that too? Please don't forget! You have to remember me! I'm your-
"Huh? What was that? Ugh! What the hell am I feeling right now?! No, where did that voice come from? Why did another voice come out of utterly nowhere and why did it sound so familiar?!" I said with a displeased expression on my face while putting a hand onto my forehead, as a sharp pain ran throughout my body as soon as I heard that 'voice' and I almost fell but managed to catch myself in just in time. Right before falling face-first on the hard, concrete ground, I grabbed onto the nearby handle of a bench that was in close proximity to where I was. Again?! I assumed the first time was a coincidence because I was tired! So why the hell did I hear another one of those 'voices' again? Why the hell is this happening to me of all people?!
"Eh? Aisa, what's wrong? If you are tired, I can always buy you a can of coffee from one of the vending machines at school. But look over there, we are already so close to A Certain High School, so just hold out till then. In the meantime, don't think about such useless things like random 'voices' that don't exist." Nanoha said with a worried expression on her face that changed into a cold as ice expression that was full of rejection and repudiation towards what I just said. What? What did Nanoha just say to me?
"Hey, Kouhai. I think that I miss heard you, but I want to be some clarification. What was the last part that you said to me?" I said with a questioning expression on my face as I managed to stand back up after the sharp pain that I felt throughout my body went away for the most part.
"Huh? Uh, um, oh yeah! I remember now! I was saying that Seiri is right over there! That's exactly what I was saying! So, hey Seiri! Come over here! It's me and Aisa!" Nanoha said with a dumbfounded expression on her face as she touched one of her brunette pigtails in thought with her left hand and then pointed towards Fukiyose Seiri with one of the fingers of her right hand.
"Hm? Oh, Hello there! Hey Aisa! Hey Nanoha! How are you guys doing today?" Seiri said as she waved towards us with her left hand with a bright smile on her face. This girl is none other than Fukiyose Seiri, the other girl that I have become acquainted with at A Certain High School. And with that, the three idols that make up A Certain High School's Alpha Squad have reunited once again. But wait, why do I feel like this hasn't happened in such a long time?
"This idiot that's right next to me almost overslept because she went to sleep probably around 3 in the morning again and now she is extremely tired. In contrast, I feel great!" Nanoha said with a smile on her face as she puffed out her chest in pride towards Seiri.
"I see. Well, let's go to school before the bell rings. Oh, that reminds me! Before we do that, I have something to tell you, Aisa. Guess what? You don't have to answer that. While I was walking towards A Certain High School, I noticed that your 'man' was also looking like he was going to school today too. Now, you have something to look forward to, Aisa! Fufufu!" Seiri said with a smile on her face as she giggled towards me. Wait. Who is that 'man' that Seiri was referring to?
"Wait what? That jackass slacker is going to be coming to A Certain High School today?! Shit. Alright, Aisa, let's not go to school today. Missing one day of school won't utterly ruin our grades. Plus, it's better than being around that guy." Nanoha said with a scowl on her face as she started to pull me by my left hand in the opposite direction of A Certain High School.
"Oh, that's right! That reminds me of something else! Before you guys leave, I have something to tell you Nanoha! If you decide to not go to A Certain High School today, that means you will be forfeiting your award for perfect attendance, Nanoha. Fufufu! Seiri said with a smug grin on her face as she laughed towards Nanoha.
"No. No. No. NO! Are you kidding me?! How could I, Nanoha, the student with the best grade in all of A Certain High School have been so careless? Shit! Fine! Alright, Aisa, actually let's go to school today. I can't sacarfice my perfect attendance award for such a stupid reason. But, if that guy tries to do anything to you, Aisa, I will kick his ass!" Nanoha said with a pissed-off expression on her face as she pumped up her right fist in the sky while swearing to heaven itself that nothing would stop her from getting in between me and whoever this 'man' that Seiri and Nanoha have been referring to. I'm still just here wondering who this 'man' actually is.
Afterward, I, Nanoha, and Seiri all finally arrived at A Certain High School together. We then made our way throughout the school and into the classroom of the first course of the day, with five whole minutes to spare. Jeez, that's early, especially for me, what am I supposed to do until the first-period starts? I guess I'll go grab a can of coffee since I'm still incredibly tired. And It's not like I have anything better to do before class starts.
But then as I was about to leave the classroom that I was in so that I could buy a can of coffee from one of the nearby vending machines in order to wake myself a little bit at the very least, something completely unexpected happened. Something that I would not expect to happen in a million years let alone ever actually happened. That 'man' appeared right in front of me.
"Hey, babe. I did exactly what you told me and I came to school. So, how about I get a little reward for my hard work and the huge amount of effort I put into all of that." A certain man with spiky, black hair said towards me as he then suddenly pushed me against a nearby wall with his right hand. Huh? Huh? Huh? HUH? WHO THE HELL IS THAT GUY AND WHY IS HE SO HOT? I thought to myself as I remained speechless towards the "man who is right in front of me.
"I understand. So you don't have to say anything that will make you feel embarrassed or anything like that. I'll just take my reward for my hard work since I'm your boyfriend after all." The spiky, black-haired man said as he proceeded to crash his lips against my own lips, and without any chance of avoiding what would come next, the man kissed me. However, it wasn't just a normal kiss, the kiss that the man gave me was sudden and forced as I felt the black-haired man slide his tongue into my own mouth. I don't even know who the hell this guy is?! But why? WHY DOES IT FEEL SO GOOD? I thought to myself as I closed my eyes and let things happen as the kiss continued.
"Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey! Hello there! I can't believe you two are doing what you are clearly doing! I'm honestly shocked! I really didn't think that if I took my eyes off of my friend, sweet and innocent Aisa, for just a few seconds that something like this would happen! I can't believe it only took one second for you to get your dirty lips all over my best friend's clean lips! Do you have anything to say for yourself, you bastard?!" Nanoha said with a smile on her face as multiple veins were bulging from her head while she was cracking her knuckles. Nanoha suddenly appeared out of nowhere but that's not important right now. No. What's far more noteworthy is that's Nanoha's not just, she's incredibly pissed off.
"Huh? Oh! Crap- I mean, um, hello there, Nanoha-Sama! I was just, uh, checking out Aisa's mouth! Yes! That's exactly what I was doing! Because I noticed that Aisa had food that was stuck between her teeth! It was probably a piece of a waffle, so as a well-mannered student, I helped out my classmate myself! See! Look for yourself! The result is crystal clear!" The spiky, black-haired man said with sweat dripping from his forehead as he proceeded to gently open my mouth towards Nanoha so that she could see inside my mouth so that Nanoha would believe him.
"Well, you look that! Aisa's teeth are perfectly clean! I see! I see! 6.5 points! Your lie was worth 6.5 points! Do you know what that means? I'm referring to a group of numbers ranging from one to ten, one means it's completely unbelievable, and ten means that it was credible. You only earned 6.5 points meaning that your lie was piss easy to see through! Nice try, but for soiling my friend with your putrid mouth, prepare to die!" Nanoha yelled with a rage-filled aura coming off of her body as her pigtails became undone and her brunette hair stood straight up. However, unfortunately, for the spiky, black-haired man, Nanoha did not believe him in the slightest.
"No! No! NO! I was lying! But! Now, I'm being honest! That has to count for something right?! Forgive me! Please!" The spiky, black-haired man screamed in absolute terror over the brunette-haired girl that was right in front of him, as Nanoha proceeded to punch the man in his stomach with approximately twenty hits. A hit for each second that the man was kissing me for I guess? And after Nanoha finished her twenty-hit combo attack, the spiky, black-haired man was then launched across the classroom with earth-shattering speed and crash-landed onto a wall.
"J-j-j-Just my luck." The spiky, black-haired man said as he proceeded to pass out due to the strikes to the gut that Nanoha landed against him in succession.
But then, at that very instant, the bell for the first class of the day rang, and a certain short, pink-haired loli wearing a pink dress along with a light-pink jacket came walking into the classroom that I, Nanoha, the spiky, black-haired man and everyone else were in. That loli, or perhaps a young woman? Well, whatever her age is doesn't really matter all that much. Because that girl is none other than the teacher of the first period, the sweet and lovable, Ms. Tsukuyomi Komoe.
"Hey, Ms. Komoe! There was a certain disturbance that happened just a minute ago! To summarize what happened was that Toma kissed Aisa, and then Nanoha beat the crap out of him for it! So, Toma will probably need to go to the nurse for the rest of the day!" Seiri said as she pointed towards Me and Nanoha, and then expertly explained what occurred in a concise fashion. Toma? Oh! I see now! So that man's name must have been Toma all along! But for some reason, that name just isn't ringing a bell in my head.
"Oh no! How could this have happened?! Ms. Nakamura! I thought that I explained to you to NOT pick fights on school grounds! Or anywhere else for that matter! A young student like yourself shouldn't be starting a fight with others! It's mean!" Tsukuyomi yelled at the top of her lungs in order to get Nanoha's attention and ended up obtaining everyone else's attention as a result. Wait a second. That voice. That name. That appearance. I know that girl very well!
"Dam it. Jeez! Seiri you are such a snitch! You do know that right?! And Ms. Komoe! To clear things up, I did not start that 'fight.' In fact, it would have happened if that jackass wasn't making out with my best friend! I warned that insignificant insect of the consequences, and he still did what I told him not to do. So, it's really not my fault, at least in a certain point of view." Nanoha said as she held one of her twin brunette pigtails in her hand and spun it around a little bit. It was kind of cute if I do say so myself, but Ms. Komoe was still really mad.
"Ms. Nakamura! Do you think that I care WHO started it?! I don't, because, at the end of the day, YOU hurt Toma! That's all there is to it, so it doesn't matter if you were protecting Ms. Himegami since a fight still happened!" Tsukuyomi yelled at the top of her lungs as Nanoha blushed bright red in response out of embarrassment regarding her actions. What did Ms. Komoe just say? 'Ms. Himegami?' Why does that feel wrong?
"Uh, um, e-excuse m-me, m-Ms. Komoe! Did I hear something wrong? Because for a second I thought that you called m-me 'm-Ms. H-Himegami!' I'm wrong, aren't I? D-Didn't y-you mean to s-say, a-Aisa-C-Chan?" I said with a confused expression on my face, as I stuttered multiple times for some inexplicable reason that I cannot fathom. Huh? Why did I just say that?
"No. You are not wrong. That is exactly what I just said. Now I have a question for you. Why would I call you by something else, let alone Aisa-Chan, Ms. Himegami?" Ms. Komoe said with a voice that was as cold as ice as she stared directly towards me out of confusion. What? No. No. No. NO! Why?! Why is she looking at me like that?! Something has to be wrong!
"Aisa-Chan! That's exactly right! Something is wrong! So you have to fight it! Please! Please fight it! Please remember who I am!
There it is again! That voice! It's just like Ms. Komoe's voice! No. 'Just like that's wrong. It's literally one-hundred percent identical to 'that voice!' The voice that I have to remember no matter what! Suddenly, a sharp pain hit against me and went through my entire body. It's that same pain again! It hurts. It hurts. It hurts. It really hurts! But. But! But, I have received MUCH worse pain compared to that and survived!
"Hey, Aisa! Is something wrong? What's going on with you today? First, you were acting weird today by not remembering who I was?! After that, you went on about some 'voices' that don't exist?! And now, now you are asking Ms. Komoe to call you Aisa-Chan?! Aisa-Chan is what your mother calls you! You even said that nobody calls you that to me! Why? Why are you doing this? Why are you acting like you are missing something that never existed in the first place?!" Nanoha screamed with an enraged expression on her face as many tears started to leak from her eyes as she pointed towards me. What? Nanoha's crying? But she never cries in front of me. No. That's wrong too. Nanoha cried in front of me before that!
"Huh? What? What did you just say? What the hell are you talking about?! You said, 'why am I acting this way?!' Why are you asking such a stupid question? I have a better question, for not just you, Nanoha, but everyone else in this room too. WHY THE HELL ARE ALL OF YOU PEOPLE ACTING THIS WAY? This is wrong! This is all wrong! What the hell is going on here?! Why is everything like this? This isn't supposed to be how things are!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as I stomped my foot down repeatedly in a fit of pure rage.
"Ms. Himegami! You will calm yourself this instant! I will not allow anyone who speaks with such a disprespectful tone to be in this classroom! So unless you want to receive a detention, you must stop talking this instant!" Ms. Komoe screamed at the top of her lungs with a voice that was full of anger as she slammed her left fist down onto her desk.
"Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. SHUT THE HELL UP! Why the hell are you acting this way, teacher? NO! Why the hell are you acting this way, Tsukuyomi?! That goes for everyone else too! Why the hell are you acting like this, Toma?! Why the hell are you acting like this, Seiri?! And especially, why the hell is you acting like this Nanoha?! You aren't even alive anymore. You are already dead!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as I proceeded to throw one of the classroom desks at a nearby window. The window completely shattered and glass fell out of the school building.
"A-Aisa? H-How? How could you possibly say such a thing? How could you possibly say such a cruel thing to me?! Isn't this exactly what you wanted?!" Nanoha screamed with a miserable expression on her face at the top of her lungs as many tears poured from her eyes and onto the floor.
"I can say that to you because you aren't her. You aren't the girl that I cried for until I passed out on the night that she died. You aren't the girl that I continue to cry about when thinking about her. You aren't my best friend, Nanoha, because she isn't alive anymore. I accepted that a while ago. So, if I just pretend that the girl that I loved so much is still alive, that would be an insult to Nanoha's memories!" I screamed at the top of my lungs while I proceeded to run towards the broken window that I destroyed and jumped out of it.
I leaped out of the school building that I was in and crash-landed onto the ground that was thankfully covered with grass and not hard concrete. However, it still hurt like hell, since I jumped out of a classroom that was on the third floor of the school building. But. But, I have experienced FAR worse pain before than that, I know that for sure now!
I then immediately stood up from the grass that I crash-landed on and I started running. I ran. I ran. I ran. I just kept on running. I continued to run as fast as I could to the place where this all began.
After what felt like I was traversing a never-ending road while sprinting at top speed, the fastest I probably ran before in my entire life, I finally made my way back to a certain house. However, that wasn't just a random house. It was my house. Or apparently, it is, even though I don't remember ever living at such a beautiful house in my entire life.
I was now right in front of the door that would have to be opened to actually walk into 'my house' but I didn't have a key for the door. No. I might have but I didn't care. Because, no matter how much I want to believe that is my house, I cannot accept it as the place where I lived my entire life up to this point! I then proceeded to strike the front door with my shoulder multiple times in succession in order to get into 'my house.' And then after obtaining a running start, I then used all of the strength in my body to break the door that was blocking my path.
I crashed against the door with my entire body and all the strength that was in it, as I knocked the front door down that was obstructing my path. I then fell as the front door came crashing down onto the floor. I proceeded to open my eyes after a few seconds of regaining some of my energy to move and I noticed that I was now finally back in 'my house,' the place where this all started at.
"A-Aisa Chan! What? What are you doing here? I mean, uh, um, I'm kind of glad that you came home early so that I could see my wonderful daughter again. But, only just a little bit! Why? Why are you here again all of a sudden? Aren't you supposed to be in school? So why are you here right now, Aisa-Chan?!" My mother screamed with a worried expression on her face as she came rushing towards me and hugged me tight and close.
"Mommy, do you remember what you said to me that day?" I said with a voice that was severely lacking emotion as my mother continued to hold me in her arms.
"That day? Uh, um, Aisa-Chan, that is very unspecific. What 'day' are you referring to? You've been alive for fifteen whole years, almost sixteen, so there are many days to choose from. Can you be a little more clear by what 'day' you are referring to?" My mother said with a sweet and gentle voice as she continued to hold me in her arms.
"Really? You don't remember? Why don't you remember? It was a regular, stereotypical summer day! But. But, it wasn't just a day that you could possibly forget! Because. Because you died. That was the day I lost you and the same day that I was forced to kill so many vampires again and again and again and again! But, no matter how much I want to forget about it. No matter how much I want to forget about everything that happened that day and pretend that it was just a bad dream, I can't! I can't do that! If I were to just pretend that all of it was just an illusion, then I would be rejecting everything that happened that day! I would be no better than a murderer! Forgetting even a single one of those vampires would be a sin that I would never be able to redeem myself from! What am I supposed to do? What the hell am I supposed to do?!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as tears poured from my eyes and onto my mother.
"Aisa-Chan. I'm a little confused by what you are trying to say, but, just listen to your mommy for just a little bit. Whatever caused you so much pain to deal with, you shouldn't let all of it consume you like this. Whoever you may have hurt, no matter how many people you ended up hurting, that doesn't really matter anymore. What you did were actions that cannot be taken back, they will forever remain a part of who you are. But, that's ok. Because I know for a fact whatever you did to hurt those people, you didn't have a choice. Because my daughter would never go out of her way to hurt innocent people." My mother said as she continued to hold me in her arms tightly and close.
"My daughter is a good person. She would never hurt someone on purpose just because she felt like it. My daughter is a kind girl that loves people. She loves everything about other people. She loves how they are kind to others. She loves how they show kindness to her. And she wants to be kind to everyone that she meets because she loves being around other people. It makes her really happy. Perhaps, my daughter is a little selfish and wants to be the center of attention a little too much. But at the end of the day, my daughter would never abandon anyone, especially someone that she cares about deeply." My mother said as she continued to hug me tightly and put her right hand on my head and patted it.
"How? How do you know that for sure? How can you say all of that for sure without knowing exactly what I did and went through?! How do you know for sure that I'm not a bad person?! And how can you say for sure that I'm a good person?! How do you know for sure?!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as tears continued to pour from my eyes as my mother continued to hold me in her arms tightly and close.
"How do I know for sure? That's easy. It's because I'm your mother after all! I know that you aren't exactly like me and that is ok! Because all you have to be is yourself!" My mother said with a kind and gentle voice as she continued to hold me in her arms.
"Oh, Aisa my sweetheart, you don't have to be like me, just be yourself!"
So that's what my mother said to me that day. It was something so simple, but so meaningful, how did I possibly forget that in the first place?
"Thank you. Thank you so much, mommy. That was exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you for reminding your daughter of a lesson that she should have never forgotten. But, it's ok now. Just like you said, 'everything is ok now.' Because, I remember everything now, and now I know exactly what I need to do. Thank you so much for always being there for me, mommy. For being so kind and loving towards me. For teaching me such a valuable lesson. And for reminding me of that valuable lesson, from the person that I wanted to hear it from the most. I'm sorry, but I have to go now. We probably won't ever end up seeing each other again, but that's ok. Because now I have the resolve to finally start moving forward." I said as the complete picture of a knife in my mind became fully realized as a blood-red knife was projected from my mind and into my hands.
"Thank you. Thank you for everything. I love you. I love you so much, mommy!" I said with a cheerful smile and proceeded to stab myself in my neck with the blood-red knife as this dream world that doesn't exist finally came to a close.
Hey everyone! Ren Here! So for this chapter, I was finally able to write about how would Aisa react to her life as that of a normal high school student in an almost what-if scenario. I was also able to have some comedy here and there that I felt was needed after the depressing moments of the previous chapter. And I was able to reveal one of the mysteries that I've been planning since I started this story, what did Aisa's mom say to Aisa all the way back in chapter one. And the response was simple but I think it was exactly what Aisa needed to hear from the person she needed to hear it the most from. Now, Aisa has the resolve and courage to overcome her remaining enemies and fully vanquish the demons that have been messing with her for her entire life, but will that really be the end of this story? The next chapter may release earlier like this chapter so expect it to release around next Friday to next Sunday! Get excited! Ren Out!
