A Certain Scientific Vampire Killer
Chapter 18: Darts of Pleasure
My eyes were already open as I looked towards the horrific sight in front of me, the utterly massive moon in the night sky revealed the ground that was below me, it was blood red. I didn't want to look at it. No, that's wrong the sight was so revolting it made me want to puke and claw my eyes out the instant that I saw all of that blood on the ground and the reason why there was so much blood. Why was there so much blood? I couldn't help but repeat that question to myself again and again even though I already knew the answer. The answer was obvious the ground was stained blood-red because it was covered with the dead husks of many animals that were once alive.
"U-Uh, u-ugh, o-oh m-my g-god. T-This is horrifying! What kind of monster would do something so cruel?!" I said with the only hand that I had left covering my mouth which was my right hand while I stuttered constantly as I was almost speechless due to the sight in front of my own eyes. I wanted to scream so loud in absolute anger. I wanted to cry my eyes out in overwhelming amounts of sadness. It was a contradiction to feel such emotions that were the complete opposites of each other, but I honestly didn't know what to feel at this moment
"Tsk. Don't play dumb right now, little girl. I mean you are pretty stupid, but you aren't dumb enough to not know why this atrocity occurred, because you know the perpetrators very well. Both you and Himegami Aisa have come across these kinds of creatures many times in the past, so you already know the answer to your useless question. However, I'll spell it out for you to make all of its crystal clear this horrific scene in front of us was orchestrated by vampires, the natural enemy of all humans on this planet." The Vampire King Slipknot said with an emotionless expression on his face as he was completely unaffected by this grotesque sight that was in front of the both of us.
There were so many dead animal husks in front of us that I couldn't count even if I tried not that I would even think of doing such a thing. Even still, the number of dead corpses would number at least a hundred if not hundreds of them all laid on the ground and gushing their own blood onto it. However, none of the dead corpses that were in front of us were human instead they were animals that are common in the forests that were on the outskirts of Academy City, such as Deer, Monkeys, and Wild Boars. And they were already utterly dead on the ground below my feet.
I always found such animals to be cute and lovable, I even wanted to have a Monkey as a pet when I was a child, so seeing their dead husks right in front of my eyes filled me with conflicting emotions of rage and misery. I wanted to stomp on the ground and scream horrible words that were not meant to be said by a young girl. And at the same time, I wanted to cry my eyes out and blow chunks all over the blood-stained ground. But before I could do either of those things, I had to find the monsters that were responsible for killing all of these defenseless animals, and destroy all of them completely from this world. No, that's not right I have to find the vampires that committed such an atrocious act of murder and obliterate their entire existence from this world.
"You're right. I was acting like a normal, regular girl who didn't know anything about murder or vampires so you are completely right, Slipknot. However, I'm done rejecting this horrific sight in front of me, so I want you to answer one more question. This is my final question, so please answer just this last one, and I'll shut my mouth afterward. Where are the vampires who killed all of these animals?!" I said with my eyes opened wide as I looked towards the grotesque sight that was in front of me and all of the dead animals that once were among the living and roamed the forests of Academy City. But, at the same time, I couldn't help but grit my teeth in anger.
"I refuse. That question of yours does not need an answer because it is a completely unnecessary and useless question. These animals, none of them are humans so you do not need to concern yourself with them in the slightest since they aren't a part of your species. But, they were almost certainly killed by the weakest of vampires who would struggle in a fight against normal humans, enemies that don't deserve any of our attention whatsoever." The Vampire King Slipknot said nonchalantly while maintaining his signature emotionless expression on his face.
"You bastard! So what if these animals aren't humans?! They didn't deserve to be killed by those pieces of shit that would commit such a horrible act of murder! And I don't care if those vampires are weak, that just makes them easier targets for me to kill! Vampires, no anyone who would do such an atrocious thing as killing cute and innocent animals in such a brutal and unforgiving way needs to cease to exist! So, answer my dam question, Slipknot!" I said with a sadistic smile on my face and bloodlust in my eyes as I continued to demand a proper answer from the Vampire King Slipknot.
"Dumbass. You need to calm down and use that small and tiny brain of yours dumbass. If you were to actually think, then even you would easily figure out how useless it would be to hunt down random cannon fodder. Not only are we both on a very strict time limit those vampires in question were all created by the Vampire Emperor Franz Ferdinand. Franz Ferdinand is your true enemy, so you should be focusing on killing him and only him, especially if you ever want to save your friend." The Vampire King Slipknot said with a slightly irritated expression on his face that made it quite clear that he was in fact very annoyed right now due to my sudden outburst.
"Haah. Haah. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have let my emotions take me over like that when there is so much at stake right now, once again, you are completely right, Slipknot. And I'm truly sorry for being such a dumbass. But, thanks to you, I know exactly what I have to do now. You said it yourself, the answer was obvious, I was just too stupid so I didn't even think about it. Even still, I know what I have to do to save Aisa, I have to kill that other Vampire Emperor guy. That is the only way to actually save Aisa and the world as well, so allow me to correct myself, by asking the question I should have asked once I saw this agonizing sight. Where is the Vampire Emperor Franz Ferdinand?" I said with an emotionless expression on my face that matched the Vampire King Slipknot's expression as I knew my goal and what I had to do to accomplish it. All I needed left was the location of that Vampire Emperor guy and then I can kill him in retaliation for all the pain that he caused my friend to feel because of his selfish actions when he stole Nanoha's body.
"Tsk. Took you long enough, but yes, that's the question you should have asked me from the beginning. Your question, where is the Vampire Emperor Franz Ferdinand, that answer is obvious. But, not because you are stupid, the answer is obvious for me because I already know where Franz Ferdinand is at this very moment. Right in the center of this city, Academy City, there is an utterly gigantic and massive castle in the sky that is where Franz Ferdinand is right now." The Vampire King Slipknot said while maintaining his signature emotionless expression on his face as he proceeded to point towards Academy City with one of his fingers.
"Phew. That is one heck of a relief I almost thought for a second that Vampire Emperor guy was going to be on a completely different continent on the other side of the world. Well, then that makes things a lot more manageable and easier to boot. So, all we have to do is get to that floating castle in the night sky and then kill that piece of shit. Ha, yeah, no problem." I said with a determined expression on my face and confidence brimming from my voice as I clenched my only fist since I couldn't help but chuckle at the end of what I just said due to my own excitement over being able to obtain my revenge against Franz Ferdinand who caused my friend, Aisa, to feel so terrible and awful that she reverted to an almost comatose state.
"That's right. The only thing that matters now is to kill the Vampire Emperor Franz Ferdinand. Nothing else will matter after that because this world's survival will be guaranteed again. So, let's go, little girl." The Vampire King Slipknot said with his signature emotionless expression on his face as he then started walking towards Academy City with his own feet. Wait, what?!
"Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey, what are you doing, idiot?! Are you seriously planning to walk all the way back to Academy City?! Do you even know how much time that would take for us to accomplish?! And do you even realize that I'm a human and I also have to carry Aisa, who is shockingly heavy for her age?! It's impossible! How the hell do you expect me to achieve the impossible, Slipknot?!" I said with a dumbfounded expression on my face while pointing one of my fingers towards the Vampire King Slipknot in absolute disbelief regarding what he is asking me to accomplish. It would have been one thing if Academy City was only a mile, hell, even two miles away. However where we are both currently is on the far outskirts of Academy City, that's at least a ten-mile distance between the two places! And this guy is asking me to do something as insane as walking ten miles AND while carrying Aisa for ten miles straight?! He's insane!
"Tsk. Now that I think about it, if I were to ask another human to perform such a feat, yeah, that's slightly too much for them to handle, especially for you little girl. Fine, you can give me Himegami Aisa and I will carry her the whole way back to Academy City, so all you have to do is run alongside me. I also promise to not harm Himegami Aisa in any way and protect her with my own life. I assume those terms are acceptable, well are they, little girl?" The Vampire King Slipknot said with his signature emotionless expression on his face while he stopped walking and turned his entire body towards me and looked directly into my eyes with his own eyes.
"Idiot! Idiot! Idiot! No, you are such a dumbass, Slipknot! Even if I were to give you my consent to carry Aisa, which I'm not going to let you do EVER, do you realize how far of a distance you are referring to?! The distance between these abandoned ruins and the center of Academy City is at least ten miles! That's way too far for me to walk, especially since we are on a time limit, and I'm only twelve years old! I mean I can probably kick your butt in a fight, but, I'm still just a little girl! Anyway, I have a much better plan, I know a guy who will be here before you know it if I were to give him a call! He's kind of a dork, but he will always be there for me whenever I need him to drive me somewhere!" I said with a pissed-off expression on my face as I scolded the Vampire King Slipknot in a way that a mom would talk to her child after he or she got into trouble or said something that shouldn't have been saying.
I took a deep breath and calmed myself down a little bit after I scolded the Vampire King Slipknot, then I proceeded to grab my phone out of my pocket and turned it on. My phone had many cracks on it, if I were to guess it was probably a result of skydiving off of the highest room in that massive castle that somehow vanished, and was on a very low battery percentage of less than 15% as well. Even still, my phone was in a working condition so that's all that mattered at the moment, but it still pissed me off just a little bit that it was damaged. I then proceeded to speed dial the butt monkey, I mean the loyal servant of the mercenary group ITEM, Shiage Hamazura with the little bit of power that my phone had left. And then after less than two or three seconds my phone call was quickly received and answered.
"Hello, Frenda, is that you? Are you finally done helping out that girl you were with from the grocery store? If so I would highly recommend that you come back here as soon as possible, because Mugino, I mean boss has been in one of her 'moods' again and I'm starting to get a little bit worried that she might actually try to kill me one of these days." Hamazura said with an anxious tone of voice that showcased how well he knows how mad Mugino can get when someone pisses her off.
"Hey, Hamazura-Kun, there has been a slight change of plans. I can explain everything but first I need you to take the car and drive all the way towards the outskirts of Academy City right now. Oh, and if you could tell Mugino to meet up with me so that I could see her as soon as we get back to Academy City, that would be great!" I said with a smile on my face while I told Hamazura what he needs to do right now for me in a very blunt fashion as I then brushed some of my blonde hair away from my face and towards my ears.
"Huh? Eh? EH? What the hell did you just say?! You have had no contact with me or any of the other members of ITEM for almost a week and you are just expecting me to drive all the way to the outskirts of this city right now?! And on top of all of that you are expecting me to just tell Mugino about all of this, do you know how much more pissed off she will be if I tell her about this?! Do you even know what you are saying, Frenda?!" Hamazura said with a voice that far more anxious than before as he knew that whatever was happening right now would only cause disaster for him later on. Even if he was right his feeling really didn't matter to me right now in the slightest.
"Hey Hamazura, I really hate having to repeat myself so I will only tell you this one more time so please listen and give me your full attention, ok? Shut your damn mouth and stop being such a wuss! You have one job so you should do that one job with everything you have and you shouldn't question me, your superior, about it even if it doesn't make sense! Listen, I need you to come and get me and two other people who are also with me right now, no questions asked! You have to get here as soon as possible so I can get back there as quickly as possible so get your ass down here now!" I said with a scowl on my face while I snapped at Hamazura a lot more ruthlessly than I did towards the Vampire King Slipknot. In hindsight, I could have been nicer to Hamazura but I was so pissed off with everything that has happened recently. I couldn't help myself, having to deal with Hamazura's anxious personality was the least of my problems.
"Y-Yes, F-Frenda, I-I m-mean m-madam! I will be there as soon as possible but it will take me at least fifteen minutes to get to those outskirts! Is that ok with you, F- I mean M-Madam?!" Hamazura said with as respectful of a voice he could muster while he constantly stuttered when speaking to me. Honestly, if this were any other situation I would feel pretty bad about this.
"No! You will be here in ten minutes or less! I don't care if you have to run a few red lights to get here in time, you will do what I'm telling you to do with no questions whatsoever! Do I make myself clear? Well do I, Hamazura?!" I said with a demanding voice that wasn't similar to someone that I know pretty well as I continued to demand that Hamazura gets his butt here as fast as possible. Wait a minute, why does the way I'm speaking feel so familiar?
"Yes! Yes! Yes! I will be at those outskirts in ten minutes or less no matter what! And you have made yourself very clear, Mugino-I mean Frenda-I MEAN- madam!" Hamazura said with a voice that resembled a person being forced to do something for another person against their own will as the phone call abruptly ended shortly thereafter. Hey, wait a minute! D-D-Did I actually sound like Mugino right there?! Oh my god! Am I actually going to become the next Mugino at the rate I'm going? No, NO, that's not what I want! Well, maybe just her attractive body, but that's the ONLY thing that should be comparable between the two of us!
"Tsk. So I think that I got the gist of what you said during your phone call but just to make sure I have to wait another ten minutes at least, on top of the time that it will take for all of us to get back to Academy City? Tsk. My way would have been much quicker and more efficient, little girl. Also, why did you sound like some vicious and ruthless dictator when you were talking on the phone?" The Vampire King Slipknot said in a very blunt fashion as he maintained his signature emotionless expression on his face while he clicked his tongue and compared me to a dictator. I couldn't help but turn away from Slipknot and lower my entire body in utter shame.
Ten minutes later
After what felt like an eternity of waiting, mostly because of how badly I embarrassed myself over the phone with Hamazura, he finally arrived in order to pick all of us up. Hamazura then proceeded to open the door of the car and got out of it with body language that made it easy to tell that he was now very scared of me because of the way I resembled Mugino over the phone.
"Hey Hamazura-kun, so I want to apologize for the way that I acted on the phone with you. The thing is a lot of stuff has happened to me recently. For starters, I only have one hand left because my left hand was cut off during a fight with some girls-I mean vampires. After that, I was trapped inside a basement room for who knows how long with no food or water whatsoever. And to make things even worse, my best friend is in a horrible state right now where she is not even communicating with me and is barely breathing. Anyway, I'm sorry." I said with an embarrassed expression on my face while I was blushing as red as a tomato because of how mean I was to Hamazura and I then bowed my entire body to showcase how sorry I was for my actions.
"I-Its fine. I understand now, so don't worry about it, Frenda. Actually, that's a lie, I have no idea what the hell is going on so not really but enough to understand that you have had it pretty rough, haven't you? Well, I can't do anything about that missing right hand of yours nor can I change what has already been set in stone. But, the least I can do is to help out that friend of yours, give me your hands-I mean hand so that we could pick her up. I have a wheelchair in the trunk of the car for emergency purposes so we can put her in that once we get back to Academy City." Hamazura said with a calm and collected expression on his face as he then proceeded to help me carry Aisa into the car. Wow, I'm dumbfounded. Is Hamazura actually a really cool guy?
"Holy crap! This girl weighs a ton! How much does your friend eat, Frenda?! Also, how the hell can she maintain such a slim and skinny physique and still weigh this much?! And who the hell is that guy with the white hair and wearing that foreign military uniform?! The wait is that an American military uniform?! What the hell is an American doing in Academy City of all places?!" Hamazura said with a shocked expression on his face as he ranted about how bizarre this situation is for him. For a second, I honestly was beginning to think that Shiage Hamazura was secretly cool, but he ruined it. I thought as I then face palmed myself.
After I, Aisa, and the Vampire King Slipknot were all in the car, Hamazura proceeded to turn on the engine and drive at full speed all the way back to Academy City. The car was fast, no that's wrong. The car was at least going eighty miles per hour, well above the speed limit in Academy City or anywhere else in the world for that matter. The car was moving so extremely fast in fact, that I began to feel a sense of car sickness and I thought we were going to end up crashing into someone. And then, just as I was about to tell Hamazura to slow down at least a little bit, my worst fears came true. The car we were all in collided with someone else.
"Holy shit! I can't believe that I actually hit someone with a car! I thought my impressive driving skills were far better than this! This has never happened to me before even though I don't have a driver's license! So how the hell could this have actually happened to me?! Dam it! Just my luck!" Hamazura said with a horrified expression on his face while he put his face to the driving wheel of the car in absolute shame. Wait, what the hell did he just say?
"Are you kidding me?! I can't believe you are saying that you have excellent driving skills when you don't even have your driver's license! Idiot! Idiot! Idiot! You are such an idiot, Hamazura!" I said with a pissed-off expression on my face while lightly kicking Hamazura's seat in retaliation for his utter carelessness, and as I couldn't contain my anger anymore after the act of murder that Hamazura committed due to his own sheer stupidity. I felt bad about being so harsh to Hamazura earlier when this shitty situation wasn't his fault. However, this was completely, 100%, Shiage Hamazura's fault, and I felt no pity for him whatsoever because of it.
"Oh my god! I can't believe that I'm going to get arrested for being in the car with someone who was so dumb he thought he could just get away with going over eighty miles per hour AND while not having a driver's license! If I ever get out of prison, I'm so going to shove a bomb up your butt, Hamazura! Wait, is that guy actually alive?" I said with an extremely pissed-off expression on my face as I felt like my hair was going to stick up in the air and that I would gain some over-the-top Anime transformation because of how mad I was right now. But then, something that I did not expect to happen, actually happened. The guy that Hamazura ran over was presumably ok and was standing up. That guy is alive! Oh, thank god that I'm not a criminal!
After I got really mad at Hamazura, I was about to curse my own existence because I was going to be in an even shittier situation than before, but at the very last second things did not go the way I expected them to go. The man that Hamazura ran over with the car he was driving was standing up again, somehow against all odds, the man was miraculously alive! I then proceeded to notice that the man who almost lost his own life looked very unique, perhaps he came from a foreign country, either way, I have never seen anyone who looked similar to that man before. The man was wearing a white suit over a blue dress shirt and with a light-pinkish tie, as well as wearing loafers, but his most striking feature was his green hair that is neatly combed.
And then, after taking the full force of a car running at eighty miles per hour directly against his chest, the mystery man finally finished standing up, relatively unscathed. The man glared daggers towards Hamazura, the man who unintentionally ran him over with the car that I and everyone else were all inside of at the moment. It was extremely bizarre that this man was almost completely unharmed, but I was so utterly dumbfounded that I didn't have enough time to register what was happening in my brain properly. If I only had just a few more seconds I could have been able to truly figure out what was unfolding before me, and I could have done something. However, I was too late, because, at the very next moment, Hamazura was already dead.
"You will DIE." The mystery man said with a scowl on his face while he was still intensely staring directly into Hamazura's eyes. What happened next, was a blur, no, that's wrong. I knew exactly what was going on, it was simply obvious, but I didn't want to admit it. And then, the very next moment after the man was finished speaking, Hamazura collapsed and his entire body fell onto me because I was in the passenger seat right next to him. Hamazura's eyes were bleeding and he had a horrified expression on his face. Without a doubt, Shiage Hamazura was killed and the man who murdered him was none other than the green-haired mystery man outside of the car.
"Eh, uh, huh? What? What the? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed at the top of my lungs with an absolutely terrified expression on my face while Hamazura's dead corpse was lying right beside my body. What? What the hell? What the hell is going on right now?! That guy, with the green hair, all he said was 'you will die' to Hamazura and then he died?! That's impossible! There is no way someone with such a brutal ability would be allowed to walk outside near other people in Academy City! This man should have been arrested by Judgement, no, that is not right. This murderer should be rotting in prison!
But then, a figure leaped forward from the back seats of the car, and drove straight into the windshield of the car, and crashed out of it which made many glass shards burst from all directions. However, just before the person was out of my sight, I noticed his straight, dark, silver hair, and a green American military uniform that was decorated with many different medals all over it. I knew that man, no, that's wrong. I knew that vampire because he was none other than the Vampire King Slipknot.
"Cannon fodder, get out of my way right now!" The Vampire King Slipknot said while crashing out of the windshield of the car with the insane speed of a bullet and towards the green-haired mystery man. And then, Slipknot proceeded to land his right fist directly into the green-haired man's jaw, which caused the mystery man to collapse onto the floor. It was a direct hit! The attack was so utterly overwhelming that it would have instantly been recognized as a KO in a wrestling match on TV. There was no way that this mystery man would be able to stand back up again after taking a full-power strike from a Vampire King! Unless he was like Slipknot too.
"But then, against all odds for the second time, the mysterious green-haired man started to stand up again after taking a full-on collision with a car going eighty miles per hour which would have been instant death for any normal human being. Not only that, but this green-haired man experienced a direct hit by the Vampire King Slipknot who would have been able to kill anyone, aside from a few noteworthy examples with complete ease. Even then, after coming into contact with two encounters that definitely would have been fatal for any normal, regular human being, this mystery man was still standing up again. And now he was glaring daggers directly into Slipknot's eyes.
"Tsk. That punch of yours was pretty good, if I were still a human, I would have certainly been dead for sure. Hahaha. Now DIE." The green-haired man said with a scowl on his face while he was still staring directly into an utterly dumbfounded Slipknot's eyes with immense bloodlust. In the next instant, without even a single second passing by, Slipknot collapsed onto the ground and started to bleed out. And now, just like the late Shiage Hamazura, the Vampire King Slipknot was also dead.
"Eh. Ugh. What?! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I started to scream again at the top of my lungs with an expression that was brimming with complete fear over the scene that was unfolding before my eyes that resembled something out of a horror movie! This can't be real! This can't be real! This can't be real! There is no way that the Vampire King Slipknot would have really died that easily?! I was sweating buckets of sweat from my forehead. I was chattering my teeth without an end in sight. Even though I couldn't understand what was happening to me in the slightest, it was without a doubt, the most scared that I have ever felt in my entire life up to this point in time.
"Tsk. It appears that there is still another human left alive, ugh, give me a break. Well, no matter, I'll just kill this human too and then I can finally relax for a little while. Now D-what?! Who is that behind you, little girl?!" The green-haired man said as he was just about to kill me for sure, but at the very last second, he stopped for some inexplicable reason. I don't understand? Why did he stop all of a sudden? No, it can't be?! It just cannot be?! Did he notice Aisa? I won't, no, I refuse to let him touch her! I thought to myself as I immediately shielded Aisa from the mysterious green-haired man in front of us.
"Tsk. FLY TO THE SKY." The green-haired man said with an irritated expression on his face while he stared daggers directly into my eyes. In the very next moment, I was thrown at top speed into the sky just like the mystery man told me to do. What the? What the hell?! I thought to myself as I then plummeted from the sky and proceeded to crash land onto the ground.
"AH! Ugh! Shit!" I yelled with an expression that was brimming with pain as I immediately came into contact with the hard, stone ground. I felt a ton of pain when I lost my left hand to that Spice Girl earlier but if I was asked to compare which felt worse between the two experiences, it wouldn't have been a contest. I must have fallen from at least ten meters from the sky, if it was any higher, I would have been dead for sure. I continued to groan in absolute agony as I couldn't feel my legs anymore, I then proceeded to look towards my legs and I noticed that they were bent in all the wrong places. My legs were certainly shattered from the fall. My legs won't budge or move in the slightest and I can't even stand, let alone defend Aisa!
"Tsk. I can't believe that little girl would actually try to defy me. Well, she won't be moving anymore, that's for sure. But, who is this girl? She looks strangely familiar-no, no way! I can't believe it! It's you! It's actually you! You are that girl who foiled my plans that got me locked up in prison and then was the reason I was killed! I can't believe we are actually meeting again! Ha! Haha! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The green-haired man yelled with an excited voice that was unlike how he spoke earlier whatsoever as he was now hysterically laughing over Aisa who was still unconscious and defenseless against the mystery man before her, who she apparently knew in some way.
"Uh, wait, what is your name again? Ugh, it's on the tip of my tongue! Shit, why the hell can't I remember your name, you little bitch?! Huh? Hold on, what is my name again?! Shit! Shit! Shit! What the fuck was my name again?! And why the hell isn't you trying to help me remember?! I'm giving you my full and complete attention and you aren't reacting to me in any way?! You ungrateful little shit! I'll fucking kill you!" The green-haired man yelled at the top of his lungs while he was scratching at his neck really hard which made it bleed onto the floor of the car along with his saliva that was leaking from his mouth and onto Aisa's face as he was now uncomfortably close to her. And just as he was about to touch my best friend, Aisa-
"Don't touch her. DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH AISA YOU PIECE OF SHIT!" I screamed at the top of my lungs towards the green-haired man who was clearly insane and demanded that he does not touch my best friend in any way whatsoever! I wasn't able to hear what the mystery man said all too clearly but I knew for sure that he said that he died. There was no doubt about it now it's obvious that this green-haired man is definitely a vampire!
"Tsk. You know you would have had a chance to survive. It would have been a slim one, but you have had a chance to survive and live another day if you just kept your damn mouth shut. Oh well, guess I'll kill you too. Now DIE." The green-haired mystery man said with an extremely irritated expression on his face as he stared daggers directly into my eyes. And in the very next instant, just like how he commanded me to 'fly into the sky' from earlier, I proceeded to bleed from my eyes and completely collapse onto the hard, stone ground. Oh, I see, I just died.
"Finally. Finally, that girl shut her damn mouth. Now, all those pieces of utter dog shit are completely dead. Ha. Haha. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! They are dead! They are all dead! And you couldn't do a single thing to save your friends! Did you even give a shit about them? Did you? It doesn't even look like it because you haven't even given me any kind of reaction even though they are all dead?! Did you not even care about that annoying little brat? Did you? That girl tried to save you even though it was futile and useless and you don't even look like you gave a single shit about her?! Come on! Come on! Come on! Give me some sort of reaction, whatever your name is!" The green-haired man yelled towards Aisa with a deranged expression on his face while he was still drooling his own saliva onto Aisa's face that was utterly expressionless and as he was now shaking her in a very violent way in an effort to get some sort of reaction out of the defenseless girl. And then, the night sky suddenly went completely red to the point that it resembled blood.
"Tsk. Shit. Shit! Shit! Shit! What the hell?! Why is it all ending now?! Why now when it was just starting to get fucking good?! Damn it all! Damn it all to hell! Curse that Vampire Emperor for having an ability that allows him to create a never-ending night only to the point that it has to reset completely every time thirty or so minutes pass! That's such a useless fucking power! Oh, I guess that I shouldn't have said that, eh whatever. It's not like you could do a damn thing about it, oh that's right! That annoying brat that you didn't even try to save said your name was Aisa! I remember your name now, it's Aisa!" The green-haired man said with a frighteningly disturbing expression on his face while he was only a few centimeters away from Aisa.
"Tsk. Why the hell does it all have to reset again just when I remembered your name?! It's so fucking annoying! Well, this won't be a goodbye because I will certainly be seeing you again! See you later, Aisa!" The green-haired man said with an utterly deranged expression on his face while staring directly towards Aisa with anticipation in his eyes as he awaited their next encounter with each other. This green-haired man knew Aisa because he met her before earlier within this story! Yes, this mystery man was none other than the first villain that Aisa faced off against when everything was just about to begin! The green-haired man is none other than the magician, known as Aureolus Izzard, who is now a vampire no less! And then, just as Aureolus Izzard was finished speaking, and everything was about to reset again, something was unfolding in Academy City at this very moment!
Meanwhile somewhere in Academy City
Academy City was once known as a landlocked sovereign city-state whose territory consists of a walled enclave within the Tokyo Metropolitan Employment Area. However, now it is in ruins, all the buildings that once towered high into the sky were now brought back to the ground and were utterly destroyed. The citizens tried to desperately fight back in order to save their city as well as to protect their own families and friends that they held very dearly to their own hearts.
All of those people were also dead, they were all completely massacred, and none of them stood a chance at getting back up again or even seeing the people they loved most one last time. The only moving things that were alive in Academy City were a giant vampire that was fifty meters tall it was an absolutely unstoppable killing machine that was the one who murdered most of the citizens of Academy City. And the only other thing that we're moving was the hoard of blood-sucking vampires that accompanied the massive monster that was responsible for bringing further devastation to Academy City and its people as well.
Except, that wasn't completely correct because there were just a few other humans that somehow managed to miraculously survive the utter carnage that the vampires brought forth to Academy City. In the center of the devastated and ruined city, there was one man standing in the rubble, he was the only human left who was defending what little there was left in what used to be known as Academy City. But then why would he try to defend a city that has no chance of recovery that is a question you may all be asking. It's simple, that man is not standing up again to defend himself but to defend another person. The person he was defending was a girl who is small in stature, has a petite build, and, much to her chagrin, had a flat chest. The girl also has thigh length, silver hair, and large green eyes as well as a white and modified nun's habit with gold highlights. This girl's name was Index, and the man protecting her was none other than Kamijo Toma.
"Stop! No more! That's enough! So please, Toma, run away so that you can survive!" Index said with an expression that was brimming with tears as she demanded to the man named Toma Kamijo that he should just abandon her and prioritize his own safety. However, he refused again.
"I refuse to do such a thing. If a man were to ever leave a defenseless girl to some big bad villain, let alone his own friend, then he wouldn't be a man in the slightest. As a man, I will not abandon you, but even more than that, you are my friend, you are kind of annoying and full of yourself too much of the time." Toma said with a determined expression on his face as the fifty-meter vampire was walking closer and closer towards Toma and Index.
"But, you have given me the opportunity to have a fun life that never gets boring, and you have always been there with me since the very beginning. I loved spending time with you going on adventures, and doing simple things like watching TV and eating food together. You are my best friend in this entire world for that reason I will never ever abandon you no matter what! So come on! What are you waiting for you dumbass monster? Let's finish this, just you and me!" Toma said as the fifty-meter vampire was now in very close proximity towards the black, spiky-haired man covered in his own wounds and blood as their fight was about to come to an end.
"TOMA, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Index screamed at the top of her lungs as her tears poured out of her eyes as Toma, the man that she loved with all of her heart was killed instantly when the massive and unstoppable fifty-meter vampire's fist hit him directly against his body. And then, the sound of someone's fingers snapping was heard and everything was reset to zero again as the Night of Nights continues!
Hello everyone! Ren Here! First things first, I want to apologize for releasing this chapter later than the promised time. To tell the truth, I have been working very hard on finishing this story and I only have three chapters left to finish writing, two of which will be a two-part epilogue to this story. Anyway, with this chapter, I wanted to showcase the absolute worst-case scenario as the Frenda, the Vampire King Slipknot, and even Toma are killed in the vampire invasion in Academy City. However, this is all to increase the amount of tension and raise the stakes as beloved characters are killed in brutal and cruel ways. But, there is still hope. There is always hope as Aisa will soon regain her will to live as she faces her demons within herself in the next chapter! The next chapter will hopefully come out this Friday, I can't promise that it will as I try to finish this story so that I could release more chapters frequently.
