Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Pokémon. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Pokémon, Nintendo and a few others.
Landon looked at the badge case. He remembered that he had been headed to Kanto. He was bemused at the fact that his Croconaw continued to do laps around the ship's deck.
"Croconaw, Croc!" The big jaw Pokémon roared as he continued to race around the ship's deck.
Landon assumed it would be weird to show up to Kanto with a Pokémon native to the Johto region. Still? It would be funny.
"Croconaw!" Landon yelled and ran a hand through his silverish white hair. "Come here! I'll let you play in the ocean when we get to Kanto!" Landon stated which caused the Pokémon to turn and waddle back towards his owner.
Landon sighed and brushed off his ocean blue shirt which was covered with a grey jacket. He knew very well that Croconaw would continue to end up racing around the deck again.
"Croc! Croconaw!" Landon heard the Pokémon yell as it jumped up and down. Landon sighed and paused to let the Pokémon leap into his arms.
Landon hummed and watched the Pokémon dance around the rest of the boat. Landon sighed, knowing the Pokémon could follow after the boat if he fell overboard.
Landon almost wanted to take the Pokeball from his belt and point it at the Pokémon. He didn't want it falling off the boat to begin with. Croconaw however? Loved water so much he almost wanted to dive off the boat just to get to the water anyway.
"Croconaw!" Croconaw bellowed and pointed to which Landon blinked and looked over the bow to see land.
"Finally, Kanto!" Landon yelled as Croconaw jumped up and down before waddling to the edge of the boat. "NO… Croco-…" Landon started to say.
Then his playful Pokémon dove off the edge of the vessel and splashed into the waves below.
Landon could only facepalm at his Pokémon who was busy playing in the waves below.
"Oh, this is going to be a long journey…." Landon decided which caused him to shake his head back and forth.
Landon had no idea that things would be much different in this region… If he did? He might have reconsidered the idea of wanting to battle the gym leaders here.
"Still?" Landon muttered as he walked to the side of the ship to check the water for Croconaw. "A bet's a bet. She tries to get more badges in the Johto region. I try to get more badges in this region… All evens out at the end of the day if everything goes according to plan." Landon stated to himself as the boat started to dock.
Croconaw bobbed his head up from the water. Landon could only raise his eyes at the idea. Landon sighed and hummed before the Pokémon started to do laps around the hull of the boat.
Landon could only roll his eyes, bemused at the very idea that his only current Pokémon… Was busy treating the water around the boat like a gymnasium rather then a body of water.
"Croconaw!" Croconaw yelled as the Pokémon popped out of the water. Landon couldn't blame the Pokémon for being eager to play.
He did after all act this way since he was a Tododile. Landon also preferred the Pokémon as playful as it was. It just showed how much he enjoyed his time around his owner.
"You're going to be a handful, aren't you?" Landon asked as the Pokémon followed after his master. "You want to go find some buddies to hang out with?" Landon questioned and got an enthusiastic nod.
Landon could only smile at the gesture. He leaned down as they walked only to pat his Pokémon on the head playfully.
Croconaw playfully nuzzled into his owner's hand which made him roll his eyes and pick the Pokémon up.
"Ok… Next stop?" Landon questioned as he swung the Pokémon back and forth. "The first gym… And hopefully we find some Pokémon along the way… I didn't think this through as much as I thought I did." Landon muttered to himself as they walked.
He sighed and decided to go and find a Pokémon with which to help him challenge the first gym.
Little did he know the adventure that he had set in motion at all.

Phew. First chapter done. I want to point out that Landon is going to be a Pokémon trainer. Next chapter will be in 2-10 weeks and will show more of Landon's personality and his bond with Croconaw. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
