Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Watery Wonders. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Pokémon, Nintendo and a few others.

Landon could only point out that things were awkward to himself, but he was curious as to what the next move was at the moment. Landon was NOT happy to watch Croconaw when it came down to it. Landon sat on a bench, looking around at the moment when it comes down to it.

Still? He was quite curious about the next moment when it comes down to it.

"Do you want me to do something, Croc?" Landon asked, patting the Pokémon atop the head as he thought about the gym battle again in his mind, curious at the time about the next match he'd be facing.

"Croc!" Croconaw bellowed, more interested in running around and making his owner curious as to their next maneuver.

Still? It was enough for Landon who proudly patted the Pokémon atop its scaly head, curious as to what he'd be doing when they met Misty. Water Pokémon against water Pokémon meant NEITHER side really had an advantage, but it also meant that he'd have a much harder fight on his hands at the end of the day. That didn't really bug him considering how much he and Croconaw had been in fights before, but it did mean they'd be in trouble if Misty had something they couldn't really deal with.

Then again? He knew enough to remember if this was such an easy fight? He wouldn't have come. Misty was one of the factors for why they had come to this region, there was too much for him to really dwell upon it, but if he did?

Then he'd be getting another plan which was the opposite of this. Landon bent down to allow Croconaw to leap up into his arms as he looked down at the Pokémon.

"We're a little further than I thought, but we're almost there, buddy." Landon added, pausing to look around as he thought about the next town.

It would be a bit of a journey to get to Cerulean city, a bit further than Landon thought, but it didn't bug him. That gave him plenty of time to think about his strategy to fighting Misty.

He stood up, looking around before slowly carrying the Pokémon with him for a bit. Landon sighed as he forgotten how heavy Croconaw was currently, the Pokémon weighed about as much as a rock and it wasn't an understatement to say that to begin with.

Landon set the Pokémon down and dusted off his coat as he began the walk towards the town once more. This would be little more then a day's walk at best, and 2 at worst and both options told Landon that he'd be getting all the time he needed to plan for Misty, it just wouldn't be the way he had believed it had gone when he thought about it.

"I poke your ready for a big Pokémon battle, I'm going to need your help a lot, buddy." Landon stated, gaining a nod from his as he did so. "Good, then we're going to have to keep moving, the next hotel is a few miles away and there's not really any time to waste on it." Landon added as he sighed, rubbing his temples a second later.

He knew it was going to end badly when it came down to it, least partly… But Landon found the idea at least somewhat enjoyable when he thought about it. The more there was to climb? The more Landon could slowly begin the climb back up to the top of the leaderboard.

This was going to be a long day when he reflected upon it, but there was very little he could do about it at the end of the day.

He had chosen this path, and he felt like walking upon it to the end. There was too much at odds when he reflected on it.

"This is going to be rather fun, isn't it?" Landon questioned, gaining a nod from his Pokémon as he chuckled, looking at it with a curious expression as he leapt up, clearly happy.

Croconaw was always curious about something and always happy just to be around his master. It made Landon rather happy, always thinking about the next fight they could get into at the moment.

Landon brushed off his coat once more once more. He didn't think about it, hopefully they reached town at the end of the day. Landon was quite hopeful they pulled something off, but he doubted it would be that easy, if it wasn't? Then they'd have some issues. Landon looked at the ground as they kept walking.

"Don't get too cocky, you know." Landon added, hopeful on their next day here when he hummed.

Landon could only believe in his Pokémon. There was nothing he could really do but believe in them. Landon smirked, rolling around in a tired expression.
