Logan was determined to have a discussion with Barek about Eames.

Seeing her like this every day...

It couldn't last.

She looked like a zombie.

And even Ross was reluctant to send her into the field.

He trusted her with everything that was paperwork.

And even that she did, but without much conviction.

Logan knew that Alex missed Bobby.

And he knew that Bobby missed him too.

He missed Eames.

He was trying to get back to a normal life...

But every night he got a phone call asking about Eames.

Why had this big idiot run away...

Of course he knew his reasons.

But he shouldn't have.

He knew Bobby had done it for Alex's sake.

But instead of doing her good, he had managed to hurt her deeply, and himself in the process.

- This can't go on... Barek...

Barek pulled his head out of the papers, and looked up at Logan with his brown eyes.

Logan was looking a little further into the post.

And she knew where he was looking...

Who he was looking at.

Eames...

She looked in the same direction.

Her heart sank at the sight of Alex.

Eames had his hands on a file, but his gaze was off in the distance, toward the exit.

She knew what Alex was hoping for...

What she was waiting for...

Goren's return.

To see him suddenly appear...

That he would show up unexpectedly...

But she and Logan knew that it would never happen.

What the hell...

Seeing Alex like that...

It was heartbreaking.

Eames had lost so much weight.

Her golden hair had grown down to her ribs.

But this pallor, this sadness on his face...

His hazel eyes extinguished ...

And that did not light up anymore.

Alex was like dead in a very alive body.

Logan was right.

It couldn't go on...

But what could they do...

She was powerless.

She tried to help Alex...

But nothing, no progress.

- Alex is so sad... Carolyn's voice broke at her words. She is silent...

Logan looked at Barek, nodded his head gravely.

He had promised Goren never to reveal his address, nor the state he had moved to, to anyone...

And especially not to Eames.

But considering Eames' condition...

For him, his promise had no more reason to be.

Alex was too unhappy, and did not live anymore.

And it could not continue like that.

It didn't matter that they had been partners...

If they loved each other...

Carolyn had taken Alex in.

She refused to leave Eames alone in her apartment, and she had done the right thing.

What would have happened if Eames had been left alone...

Logan would rather not know.

Barek watched over all of Eames' meals, even when she was in the field...

She asked Ross to take over...

And to call her if there was an emergency.

Eames already ate very little...

And still because Carolyn forced her.

The only thing missing was that she didn't eat anymore.

What the hell...

Goren had not understood anything...

That by running away from his feelings for her...

He would destroy her.

- I'll tell you where Goren lives... Barek smiles, touched by Logan. Even if the fool doesn't want to admit it... he misses her...

Logan knew he would have to endure the fallout, and Goren's wrath.

But it didn't matter to him.

It was worth it.

As long as Eames and Goren were no longer unhappy without each other.

Logan grabbed a piece of paper, a pen, and began to write.

When he finished he handed it to Barek who took it.

- Maybe he'll stop calling me every night to see how she's doing...

Carolyn opened her big brown eyes, surprised by this confession.

So Goren was pestering Mike every night to find out how Alex was doing.

Now it was time...

Barek left his file in progress, got up, and walked towards Alex.

When she got to his side, she put the paper in front of Eames.

- Gifts.

Eames looked up at her with a blank stare.

What could it be...

- This is Goren's address. Alex's big eyes lit up with hope at her words. It's from Logan.

Alex looked at Logan, who was standing against Barek's desk watching them.

He nodded, smiling at her.

Was it possible...

Could this really be Goren's address...

Her heart beat violently in her chest.

She who no longer felt strong enough to live without him...

At that moment...

She was coming back to life.

Alex could not take his eyes off this address.

She had thought about her feelings for Goren.

And nothing had done...

She was madly in love with him.

And living without him...

Was simply impossible.

- Go see him... Carolyn looked towards Ross' office. I'll tell him that you had an important reason for leaving.

Should she go...

Just like that on a whim.

No...

She couldn't just go there on a whim.

First of all, she had to write him a letter, and tell him how she really felt.

Yes...

That was a good idea.

Alex got up from her seat, and hugged Carolyn.

- Thank you, Alex.

Eames didn't have to thank her.

She had only passed on Logan's paper.

- You should be thanking that weirdo.

Eames nodded, and walked towards Logan.

Arrived at his height, she took his hands in hers.

- Thank you Logan...

Logan blushed embarrassed by this gesture.

He was not used to this kind of thanks.

He blushed violently.

- You shouldn't thank me... He didn't dare to look at her. Besides, he's going to kill me when he is.

Barek smiled tenderly at this scene.

Logan was embarrassed, and did not know where to put himself.

He who was naturally quite expansive...

This time it was the opposite.

All day long, Goren had been apprehensive.

As if something important was going to happen in his sad life.

But what could have happened...

Eames was no longer part of it.

And so...

He stopped in front of his door as if forbidden.

There was a letter on his doorstep.

He crouched down and took it in his hands.

Goren looked at the writing.

His heart began to beat faster, his hands shook, as he recognized the writing.

Eames...

But how...

Who could have...

Only Logan knew about it.

Logan...

What the hell...

Didn't he know how to keep a promise...

He should take care of him next time he sees him.

You'll pay for this Mike...

For Eames' sake, he was gone.

So why had Mike given him his address.

Did Logan know something...

That he should have known.

Logan had told him that Eames had recovered his memory...

And that his departure had caused everything.

That meant that without him, Alex would be better off.

Every night he called Logan to see how Alex was doing.

He needed to know.

Mike had told him that he'd better come back...

That Eames was not the same...

And that she was sad all the time.

But he couldn't do that.

If he had listened to his heart...

He would have come back...

But if he came back he would hurt Eames even more...

He had ruined her life enough.

And he couldn't imagine putting her through hell again because of him.

Goren put his badge and his gun on the table.

He walked over to the couch and sat down with the letter in his hand.

He looked at it for a long time.

Should he open it...

Or should he throw it away...

If he opened it, there would be no turning back.

But to throw it away...

He couldn't do that.

It was a letter from Alex...

With his heart breaking in his chest and his hands shaking, he decided to open it.

He unfolded the paper, looking at the writing.

"Bobby, I've been thinking about my feelings, over and over again... But even after recovering my memory, my memories... Nothing could make me forget how I feel about you. Before I lost my memory, I already had this love in me, but I didn't know... I was just afraid of what I felt. But now I am not afraid anymore. I love you, and I want more than anything to be with you. Your Alex."

I love you...

And I want more than anything to be with you...

His heart tightened at her words.

He clutched the letter in his hands, tears welling up in his eyes.

My God...

It couldn't be possible...

Alex loved her...

It wasn't just sympathy.

But it was simply impossible between them.

He couldn't...

Wouldn't destroy her.

Tears slid down her cheeks.

He had left for her sake.

To protect her from him.

And Eames was clinging to him.

Damn it...

His words, tore at her heart.

She missed Alex terribly.

Her sarcastic side...

His fragile side...

Her big hazel eyes...

Her little Alex...

- I miss you so much...

His voice broke.

He took her face in his hands, and burst into tears.

He let out all the grief he had held in for too long.

Goren had thought he could continue his life without Eames...

But nothing had happened.

Every night he called Logan...

He needed to know how Alex was doing.

He couldn't cut off his old life completely.

Not for one day did he think about her.

And when he was at a crime scene with his partner, it was worse.

He tried to put on a brave face...

But it wasn't Eames, and so he didn't have that joy, nor the pleasure he had in going to a crime scene.

He had lost the desire to go to work.

Sometimes he wanted to make himself look pale, but he never had the courage.

But he couldn't forget what had happened.

Eames getting shot.

All because of him.

And because of that alone, he could never go back to her.

He was a danger to her.

Goren reached into his pocket and pulled out a picture.

A photo he had taken of Eames and himself during an investigation.

He had kept it preciously.

At least, he had this memory of her.

Never this photo left him.

One day this photo had fallen out of his pocket, and his partner had picked it up, asking him who the little blonde in the photo was.

He picked up the picture without answering.

It was none of his business.

And he had no explanation for it.

He caressed the photo affectionately.

His tears redoubled.

He held the picture close to his heart.

- My little Alex... His voice broke. Forgive me...

What was going to happen...
