Chapter 17

"Alina" Aleksander gasped as she awoke him and put his hand on her belly, "Are the babies okay?"

Alina started to sit up and putting her hand on his so he kept it their, she looked at him, "Yes the babies are fine. We need to find the Sea whip it's a Dragon"

Aleksander sat up, "How do you know its Dragon?"

Alina looked down at their joined hands and back at Aleksander, "before we started hunting the stag I started to have dreams of what he looks like."

Aleksander frown, "you were really suppose to be in my family, my grandfather amplifiers were made for if you are dreaming of the animals"

"Yes im starting to think so too. The Dragon told me that I was meant for his scales and that when I wear them it will be safe for the babies"

"Alina, I'm afraid ..."

"There is more Aleksander it told me that I will need it help shortly as the Grisha are in trouble"

Aleksander got up and started pacing "Shit" "Shit"

"Are you regretting leaving to come after..." Alina started to tear up

Aleksander stop shocked at her comments and race back to the bed and cuddled her, "Shit Alina" he let her cry onto his shoulder, "I will never regret coming after you my mother told me wanting or love make us weak. But Loving you has made me stronger and care more, if I had the choice to do it again I will come after you every time"

And he kissed her hard, "I'm sorry to upset you Alina" when he came up for air, "your are my other half, my soul mate. Again there is no regrets coming after you but for so long I have been protector of the Grisha in Ravka and I'm hoping yours and the dragons warning is something for the future"

"I'm sorry" Alina cried

"Alina no don't rest I will got speak to Mal to see what we need to do to hurry up this search and I did bring fabricator so we make something for you. Once we have found the Dragon I will use a squallor to get us home quicker. Okay please my love sleep I will be back shortly"

Aline nodded and he helped back down to bed so she could sleep.

Once she was asleep Aleksander threw some clothes on and went to find Mal. He found Mal at the front of the boat

"we are close" Mal said

"You knew it was me?" Aleksander asked

"Yes the way you walk" he smiled at The General

"I'm not biting. So how do you know we are close?"

"Its a feeling, with the stag it wasn't following foot print in the ground it was feeling. I'm not sure how I can explain it"

"Mal you have an unusual gift. (Aleksander gave him a look up and down) I came out here because Alina had a dream or maybe a vision the sea whip is a Dragon it spoke to her"

"what did it say?"

"That she will need to wear its gift, don't worry I'm not happy about her putting something on that may affect the babies and her, but he said it was safe and she will need it as the Grisha are introuble"

"what do you mean the Grisha in trouble?"

"I'm not sure but I'm getting a bad feeling so I need you to promise me something Mal?"

"okay?"

"if for whatever reason we get separated and you are with Alina I want you to look after her and the babies until we can rejoin please"

"What do you think is going to happen?"

"I'm not sure, I'm just getting a feeling that something is going to happen. Please promise me Mal?"

"she is my best friend nothing else, I will protect with my life you don't have to worry"

"I know, I know. I'm just worried"

"I'm think one more day we will have the Dragon and that will make Alina stronger then we just have to race home. But for now go and be with your wife"

"Yes sir" Aleksander saluted Mal smiled and left to go back Alina

That Afternoon Alina was watching the side of the boat to see if she could see anything

"please don't fall off the side" Aleksander purred into her ear as he snaked his hands around to her bump.

Alina smiled and placed her hands above his, and turned her head to whisper in his ear, "But I thought you liked me wet"

He growled and kissed her hard

"Get a room" Nina shouted while the other whistled

Both Alina and Aleksander started to laugh

"There it is" shouted Mal and everyone race to the side of the boat to see if they could see the Sea whip.

The captain started to shout for people to move and get his men ready to capture the creature.

Aleksander moved Alina back, "Are you ready my love?" And kissed her on the cheek

"Your worries" she asked

Aleksander turned her around and place his hand on her bump, "After everything I have done to you and what has happened to you, you have survived. I don't know how I could survive if something happen to you or our children are you positive you want to do this"

Alina kissed him then when she came up for air, "I love you Aleksander, the babies and I will be fine, I have faith all will be well" and kissed him again

"I love you Alina and our children. ( he then looked behind her) I think you are almost up"

"can we make it into a bracket the scales?"

"yes I will ask Novak to do that for you" Aleksander smiled

Alina left his grip and went to the side of the boat waiting for the Dragon to be pulled onto the boat, it took then awhile to drag the body in as the Dragon kept moving. When it was finally in the boat it looked at Alina and stop moving, Alina walked up to the animal like she did with the stag and touched it. The Dragon purred with her touch and she apologies for going to end its life, she took a step back took.

She closed her eyes to focus as she was tearing up when she opened them up she moved her hands up to make the cut and sent it towards the Dragon to remove it head from its body. When she realised what she had done she sank to her knees and started crying, Aleksander wanted to comfort her but he was talking to Novak. Mal knew he had to stay so he ran to Alina and hugged while she cried.

Once Novak had finished making the bracelet he passed it onto Aleksander who walked to his wife. He could hear Mal comforting Alina and he appreciated that.

"Thank you Mal" Aleksander said as Mal looked up, he help Alina up and she smiled at her husband. Mal step away to leave it to the.

"Moya Tsarina here is your bracelet" Aleksander said as she moved her right arm for him to slip it on. As soon as it was on she powered up and covered Aleksander and herself with her light.

"are you okay my love" he asked

She placed his hand on her belly as the children fluttered, "I'm more than okay" she smiled and then hugged and kissed him.

They parted and he kissed her on the Noes and she smiled, he then turned to Mal and put his hand out and said "thank you Mal for all your help"

Mal shook his hand, "No worries I will do anything for Alina"

All of a sudden there was a shout and a bang, Alina and Mal who were closer to the edge of the boat fell over board into the water. Aleksander fell onto his back and hit his head, he was out for a few minutes when he opened his eyes he saw that it was another ship that had run into them. He got up quickly and turn to see where Alina was in the water.

She wasn't in the water he panicked then he looked up a little to see that she was in a small dingy with Mal who was unconscious. There was 2 other people in the boat and one of them had a knife at Alina's neck

"Nice to see you again General, my father found out what you did and decide to end all Grisha except the Sun Summoner And a few that are loyal to the crown"

He smiled at the women and a cannon was fired at the boat knocking the General out cold
