This idea came to mind when my daughter told me her boyfriend was nervous about meeting us so everyone that has been asking for a new old west True fic can thank her!

I have 4 chapters done and will try to post one every few days.

MAGSEVENMAGSEVEN

True waited in her room dreading the sound of angry footsteps she would hear shortly. Chris was seriously going to kill her this time. She hadn't meant to destroy the Clarions porch- honest! She thought that tying old man Jenkins wagon to the porch would just keep him from moving not pull the porch clean off the foundation! Mary was furious and shook her head in disbelief at Trues explanation but still spared her the initial wrath of one Chris Larabee by sending her off to her room with a swat when she saw him heading their way.

The sound of him coming towards her room caused her to break out in a cold sweat. Why did she do this stuff when Vin was out of town? The door opened and she immediately jumped to her feet ready to plead her case but one look from the angry gunman had her snapping her mouth shut.

"Mary explained what happened." He growled. "What I want to know is why."

"I don't know Chris."

"You don't know huh? Then I guess we just move on to your punishment." He took a step towards her and True threw her hands up pleadingly.

"Wait! Wait!" She dropped her suddenly sweaty hands and wiped them on her pants. "I don't got a good reason. The wagon was there and Mary's porch was there..." she trailed off unable to explain the impulsive action that followed.

Chris rubbed his chin so she didn't see the smile threatening to break out at her very True like explanation. "You didn't know that a team of horses could pull apart a wooden structure?"

"Well I do NOW!"

Chris was at her side in an instant and took her chin his his hand. "That sass just bought you five more swats."

"You're already gonna whip by butt clean off! There ain't gonna be nothin left to smack!" She gulped at the look on his face and dropped her head in contrition. "Um I mean...sorry."

He let go of her chin and pointed to her bed. "You know what you did was wrong and your mouth is gonna make it worse if we discuss this anymore so you can drop your britches and bend over."

True slowly did as instructed but kept an eye on his actions to get an idea on what he was going to use. Her eyes widened when he pulled his belt off and she quickly buried her head into the bed covers so she didn't have to look at it.

Chris unbuttoned the flap on her union suit and brought the belt down on the exposed backside before him. By the time he finished the actual punishment and the additional swats the girl was a bawling snotty mess. He put his belt back on and quickly fixed her clothes before pulling her into his arms.

True buried her face into his shirt and cried until she had no tears left. Once she settled some she looked up at him. "Do I gotta butt left?"

Chris smiled. "If you can't feel it then I did something wrong."

"Guess I gotta go apologize to Mary."

"Yep."

"You know I already did."

"Yep."

True sighed.

"We will go over after supper. Right now I want to talk to you about something other that what just happened." He intended to talk to her before bed tonight but figured this was as good of a time as any, especially since the girl would be less apt to argue or let her temper loose with a blazing rear.

"I didn't do anything else!"

"Didn't say you did." He moved her back on his lap so he could look her in the eye. "Tomorrow Lauren's parents will be here to visit. Vin is already worried about their reaction to him and the lifestyle we live."

"I know. He's been like a bear with his paw caught in a trap. I was never so glad he when to Netties."

Chris didn't mention he all but forced the man to go. If anyone could straighten him out it was Nettie! "Yes and you don't need to add to it. I'm telling you this one and only one time. You are to behave like the wonderful little girl we know and love. That means no sass, no disobeying, no lying and absolutely no pranks! I want no trouble from you while they are here."

"How long are they gonna be here?"

"I'm not sure. Maybe a week or two."

"But that's forever..."

"Ah ah." He put his finger over her lips to shush her. "I don't want Vin to have to worry about anything but his relationship with Lauren and her parents. This is your only warning. Any misbehavior and we will be right back here only the punishment will be worse. Understood?"

Trues backside was currently a smoldering inferno and couldn't imagine how it could get worse but knew to take any warning from Chris seriously. "Yes sir."

He tucked a stray hair behind her ear. "You will also be wearing a dress tomorrow so you look your best when you first meet them."

"But..."

"Nope no arguments. You will dress in whatever Ezra picks out for you. This is about Vin not you."

"I don't gotta wear a dress the whole time they're here do I?"

His lips quirked at the look of horror on her face as she realized that was a possibility. "Vin wanted you to but Lauren insisted that you be allowed to be yourself. She has apparently told her parents all about you so they will most likely be surprised if you didn't dress like you normally do. You might want to thank Lauren the next time you see her."

"Maybe she told them how I like a good prank or that I get sassy from time to time. Guess if'n I'm suppose to be myself then I..."

"True."

She relaxed against him with an adorable pout on her face. If only she knew how hard it was to ignore!

"Now that doesn't mean you won't have to wear one on some other day they are here if the occasion calls for it. If you do there will not be one argument about it. Understood?"

"Yes sir. I don't like it but I'll do it for Vin."

"Vin will you please relax. My parents are going to love you."

Vin didn't think he'd ever been so nervous in his entire life. "They don't even know me. I ain't the type of guy that fathers wanna marry their daughters off to."

"I have told them everything about you. They are not going to be surprised by what they see when they finally meet you." When the look of doubt didn't leave his face she pulled out the big guns. "Do I need to go find Nettie?"

Vin took a quick look around to make sure she wasn't nearby. It was embarrassing enough when she insisted on coming to town with him to make sure he actually went there. The last thing he needed was for her to hear him putting himself down again, even if it was the truth. She'd threatened to whip him where he stood no matter who was around if she heard anything him say anything like it again and he wasn't about to test her.

"No ma'am." He said with a smile.

Lauren linked her arm into his. "Good because we don't have time for all of that. The stage is coming in right now."

Vin watched as a very tall barrel chested gentleman and petite woman hurried toward them. The man scooped Lauren into a hug and up off her feet. "Lala!" He exclaimed before passing her off to the woman beside him who hugged her tightly. He stood back to allow them to greet each other then stepped forward.

"Mama, Papa, this is Vin Tanner. Vin these are my parents Sean and Olivia."

Vin put his hand out to shake Seans hand and was surprised to be pulled into a back breaking hug by the rather exuberant man. "It is good to finally meet you."

Olivia reaches out to grasp his hand with both of hers once he was released. "Lauren has told us so much about you I feel like I know you already!"

Vin was completely taken aback by their reaction and it took all of his brain cells to remember the 'rules of polite society' Ezra drilled into his head. "Glad to meet you." He drawled.

Olivia looked around. "Where is your sister? I was so looking forward to meeting her as well."

"She will be joining us for supper. I thought we should spend some time together and allow you to rest and freshen up before we introduced her." Lauren said and took her fathers arm. "Come. I have refreshments set out at home."
