AN: I think this will be the last chapter of this story. I'm struggling with writers block but wanted to get this one completed for everyone. It's not my best work and only spell checked but it's all I could manage right now. I loved writing Sean and Olivia so I expect they will show up in other stories so do not despair if you enjoyed them too!

"Vin Tanner if you touch those cookies again I am going to..."

Vin smiled at Rhianna. "Gonna do what?" He said as he snatched one and took a big bite. "Ow! Whoa Nettie jist put the spoon down."

"You get on out of here or I'll give ya more!" She swatted him again. "Everyone should be here so go wash up." Another smack was heard followed by a yelp and they heard the back door slam.

"Vins being a bad boy." True said to the newly arrived Willis family. Nettie decided to have a picnic after church so everyone could spend time together, including Conall and Creed with their respective fathers and they were the last to arrive.

"You come by it honestly." Josiah said as he came up behind her.

True looked up at him. Now that everyone is here can we eat? I'm starving!"

Vin came outside with Nettie and Rhianna, each carrying a dish.

"Yes we can eat you little scoundrel!" Nettie gently swatted her with her free hand.

After setting everything down and greeting the newcomers Nettie called out that the food was ready for anyone that wanted to eat.

"Are the cookies good?" Lauren asked with a grin.

Vin blushed when he realized they heard what went on in the kitchen but still smiled unapologetically. "Yep."

The picnic did exactly what Nettie wanted. She could see the easy banter within the group and watched

as her boy relaxed incrementally as the hours ticked by. Like all things though the picnic came to an end. Chris had leave early as it was his turn to patrol so Rhianna was given permission to ride home with Conall and soon only True, Vin and the Willis's were left.

The had just finished washing the last of the dishes when a shot rang out followed by shattered glass and then blood bloomed on Sean's shirt as he fell to the ground. Another shot struck Vin causing him to fall and he hit head hard on the floor rendering him unconscious, blood streaming from where the bullet creased his temple.

True snapped into warrior mode and quickly pulled Vins buck knife from the sheath at his waist and grabbed another from the kitchen table.

"Vin Tanner we hear you have a bounty on your head! You come on out and no one else needs to get hurt." A voice yelled.

"Judge Travis got those charges dropped!" Nettie grabbed up her old Spencer Carbine and pointed it out the broken window. "You come any closer and I'll put a bullet through your thick skull!"

True saw Olivia and Lauren tending to Sean and Vin and realized it was up to her to get them out of this mess. She moved to head out the back but was stopped when Lauren jumped up. "Where are you going?"

"Someone's gotta get us out of this and you know I'm the only one that can."

"True…"

"No. Vin and Sean need help and the longer I stand here the worse they're gonna get."

Nettie, Lauren and Olivia all exchanged looks before Lauren sighed. "All right but you promise me you'll be careful!"

"Always am!" She winked and hurried to the back door. A quick conversation with some nearby birds confirmed there were 3 men, the one out front and two coming around the house, one on each side. True slipped outside and easily took out the one to the left as the idiot didn't even have his gun drawn.

She pulled her knife out of his throat and spun around to face the other one, quickly finishing him off, then stealthily made her way towards the front of the house.

"Put that knife down. I don't want to hurt you little girl."

True gave an evil grin. "That's a shame cause I want to hurt you."

She used her powers to pull the gun from his hand and was on him before he could even move. A quick slice across his throat was all that was needed. She double checked to make sure all threats had been neutralized then hurried inside.

She was happy to see Vin had come too and was holding a cloth to his head and upon closer inspection saw that bullet that hit Sean didn't hit anything vital. "What is it with you Willis's? I had to rescue one of you again! You got something in your blood that attracts bad guys?" She quipped.

"Yes much like you attract trouble." Lauren replied in kind.

"Well they're are dead now. I'm gonna ride out to get Nathan and Rhianna." She had just gotten Eavan saddled when Chris, Nathan and Rhianna came thundering into the yard. "How in the…ah hell never mind."

Rhianna and Nathan hurried inside while Chris quickly came over to her and pulled her into a hug. "You ok?"

"Course I am! This ain't my first rodeo." Despite the bravado in her voice True was a bit shaken now that it was over. It's had been a while since she had to kill someone and she tightened her hold around his waist seeking comfort.

Chris swung her up into his arms and carried her into the house. Upon entering they saw that Rhianna had already taken care of Vin and was in the process of healing Sean.

"See? Ya see what just happened? That right there is why you all should get a far from me as you can!"

"Vin…"

"No Lauren! Ya all could have been killed! Be better if I just head out on my own away from everyone."

"You're being ridiculous!"

"Prolly best if we don't get married. I ain't bringing trouble on all your heads." Vin ranted as if Lauren hadn't spoken. "I won't have your blood on my hands!"

Sean watched Vin throw what could only be classified as a tantrum as he angrily pushed away from Lauren. The hurt look on his daughters face gave Sean enough energy to get to his feet and land an almighty swat to Vins backside.

"Holy shit!" True whispered and stared wide eyed as Sean grabbed Vins arm. She glanced at Chris and saw he was trying not to smile at the surprise look on Vins face.

"That is quite enough young man! Your tantrum is over! I may not be your father in law just yet but you keep it up and I'll forget that fact and take you out to the woodshed."

Vin didn't know if it was Sean saying he was having a tantrum or the fact that he actually smacked him that rendered him mute, but he found he did not have the ability to reply. He forced his hands to stay still so he didn't reach back to rub his throbbing rear.

"Now sit and calm down."

Sitting was the last thing he wanted to do but he was not about to disobey Sean after that threat.

Sean sat next to him and put a fatherly arm around his shoulders. "I understand that what just happened scared you. Heck it scared all of us! But we are a family now and I know you haven't had much experience with that but families stick together."

"But…"

"Ah! No buts. Eventually all of the posters will be gone and word will spread that you are no longer a wanted man. It may not happen as quickly as you'd like but it will eventually happen."

Much calmer now Vin looked at Sean. "Will it?"

It was looks like Vin was giving him that reminded him just how young Vin was. "Im sure of it. Until then your family will stand by your side and fight with you until there is no one left to fight. Do you understand?"

Vin felt the tension leave his body. "Yes sir." He leaned back and shared a look with True and Rhianna.

"Lught-thie rieau." He sounded out carefully.

"What does that mean?" Olivia asked.

"It's a vow where we are from. It means Family forever."

"It sure is." Olivia said with tears in her eyes. "It sure is."
