It was a bright and sunny day in the town of Jellystone. Business was going as usual, the townsfolk were getting up and out of their houses to get to their jobs. However, the town awoke to see purple ribbons being placed on every building. Along with city hall being cleaned up.
"Has Prince day come early?" Yogi asked.
The towns folk were curious so they made their way to the center of town, where the mayor was furious writing something on his clipboard.
"Hey mayor, what's with all the purple?" Cindy said.
"Everyone knows purple is out of season," Magila Gorilla said.
"Well, Today, a special guest will be visiting Jellystone" the Mayor said. "She is here to attend an important meeting with yours truly. As well as to get to know the citizens that live in this here town"
"So why the purple?" Loopy said.
"It's her favorite color," the Mayor said. The town suddenly hears the sounds of horses getting closer.
"SHE'S HERE. EVERYONE MAKE WAY" the Mayor yells, chucking the clipboard. The town quickly scrambles as a horse drawn carriage comes into view.
The town hadn't seen anything like it. It was a purple carriage with 4 horses pulling it. That must mean the guest is…
"Is that Cinderella?" Augie Doggy said.
"I thought Cinderella was just some fairytale," Shag said. The carriage door opens and a purple carpet rolls out in between the crowd. The crowd is in awe as a leg wearing a high heel steps out the door.
Their faces drop when they see a body fall out of the carriage. Rolling all the way down the carpet before crashing into the mayor's podium.
"A body has been discovered" Boo Boo says.
The dust clears and the body is revealed to be a young girl wearing a purple dress and a crown. She's missing a high heel.
"Man, I hate stairs," the girl said. She stands up and dusts herself off.
"Uh hi" the girl said. "I'm not good with formal greetings. I'm...Princess Lexie…"
Mumbles can be heard from the crowd. A real princess. They thought those only existed in Britain.
"Well, let me be the first to welcome you to Jellystone, your majesty," the Mayor said.
"Oh you're the mayor," Lexie said. "Huckleberry Hound was it? Pretty sure my parents grew up watching your show. Can I just call you Huck or something?"
"You can call me whatever you like, your majesty," Huck said.
"Ok, "whatever you like, your majesty' " Lexie said. She felt something tug at her dress. She turned around and saw a bear, a dog and a duck.
"Are you a real princess?" Yakky said.
"Yeah. no one just shows up in a carriage for fun" Lexie jokes. "It's expensive"
"Do you think I can be a princess like you someday?" Augie said.
"But sweetheart," Doggy Daddy said. "You're already MY princess"
"But I wanna be a real princess" Augie said, "Miss Lexie gets to ride in a carriage and wear pretty dresses"
"It's more than riding a carriage and wearing pretty dresses," Lexie said. "You gotta sign contracts, make rules for your kingdom that aren't too crazy so your people don't overthrow you, then you gotta negotiate with other kingdoms so they don't invaded your country-"
"Sounds like a princess isn't easy," Shag said.
"It's worth it for the dresses," Lexie said. "Now has anyone seen my other heel?"
The town suddenly hears guitar riffs. They turn to see a horse playing a guitar on top of a roof. He jumps down from the roof and does a roll on the carpet. He then pulls out a high heel.
"Looking for this" he says "it flew in my direction when you fell off the carriage-"
Lexie takes the heel and puts it back on. "And what might your name be, horse man?"
"I am El Kabong," the horse said. "I make sure the streets of Jellystone are clean of crime. With my guitar Susan"
"Ah, a fellow Latino" Lexie said. "Yo tambien (I am too)"
El Kabong gasps. He kneels and kisses the princess' hand
"Your majesty," El Kabong said. Lexie gives him a weird look.
"Now everyone," Huck said. "I know you are all eager to know the princess but we still have important things to do. And the royal highness and I have business to discuss"
"He's right," Lexie said. "We can all talk later okay?"
Lexie shakes off El Kabong and the crowd begins to disperse. Lexie and Huck walk off into town hall.
"Well mr mayor sir I do admire how everyone is so nice in this town" Lexie said. "Even the children respect each other"
"That's how it is here in Jellystone" Huck said "That's why people wanna live here. It's the best….that we can do"
Lexie chuckled.
"Now let's be serious Mr Mayor, the reason why I came here is to make peace with this town" Lexie said. "You see, Mr. Mayor, there has been a conflict between my kingdom and a rival kingdom. They plan on destroying this city in 2 weeks because they believe the townspeople are weak and easy to conquer"
Huck gulped.
"With aid from my army, you have to get the town prepared for any attack. I do admire Jellystone and its people and I would hate for all of you to be wiped out. I grew up watching reruns of everyone's shows on Boomerang" Lexie said.
"Well, that's a lie. I only watched Pokemon on Boomerang" Lexie said. "But who doesn't know Yogi Bear? Or the Flintstones? Or-"
"You said that a kingdom is gonna destroy our town" Huck said, with panic mixed with his calm voice. "I gotta evacuate the town, seek refuge in another town. I better call the mayor of Townsville and-"
"Mr Mayor sir?" Lexie said.
"Sorry your majesty" Huck said. "But I care about this town deeply. Jellystone is my home. I became mayor of this town to protect the people I love. And I'd hate for one or two citizens to get hurt or lose their lives because of me"
"That's the spirit sir" Lexie said. "Now, here's what I had in mind"
The mayor dog and Princess started discussing how they would stop the town from being destroyed. Meanwhile, El Kabong was cleaning his guitar.
"We have a new job Susan '' El Kabong said to the guitar. "To protect the princesa and show her that Jellystone's toughest criminals don't stand a chance against El Kabong"
Lightning strikes, nearly hitting him.
"How?" El Kabong said. "There's not a single cloud in the sky"
