The young Hyur woman walked out of the Navel, having just defeated the primal, Titan. Sweat dripping from her brow and beyond tired. It seems nearly impossible for these adventures to find any rest with the impending war constantly raging against them. Between the Garlean Empire, the beast tribes trying to raise their primal lords and the mysterious masked mage, Farrah Vilentris was rightfully exhausted.
There was a high pitched buzzing sound coming from her temple. With a gentle hand to her right ear, Farrah heard the jubilant tone of the Scion leader, Minfilia.
"Farrah, word has traveled fast to our quarter of the realm. Well done on the defeat of Titan. We all wish to congratulate you properly. We'll be awaiting your return at the Waking Sands. There is much to discuss. Godsspeed."
With another threat out of the way, she was ready to return to comfort at the Waking Sands, the Scions of the Seventh Dawn HQ. Feeling overjoyed and eager, the beautiful Archer began to stagger. An overwhelming dizziness, nausea and fatigue weighed on her. She made her way to the nearest inn to seek out a place to rest her head. Once inside, room paid for, and armor set aside, Farrah couldn't hold back the sick feeling in her gut any longer. Making for the nearest basket, she emptied her stomach until nothing was left but dry heaving.
A beautiful, young woman in white robes walking by had stopped, hearing the struggle inside. With a gentle knocking, her voice rang through like a bell "Are you alright in there, Miss? is there anything I can do to help you?" A few moments passed until Eorzea's brave adventure opened the door.
"Good heavens!" the guest exclaimed. "you look awful, Miss. Please sit down." She guided Farrah to her bed and helped her lay down.
"Thank you... Miss..."
"Cadence" she answered with a sweet smile.
"Well, Thank you Cadence. I'm Farrah."
"Wait! You're Farrah Vilentris?! The Hero adventurer?! I've heard all about the deeds you've done for Eorzea. Also that you've defeated not only one, but two primals!"
She chuckled weakly "Yep that's me. That's probably why I'm so sick and tired. Lately I've been so busy i haven't had much time to rest. And the stress is... a lot."
"Oh well I'm a nurse and healer here at the Inn. I would be honored if you would let me look over you and make sure everything is okay. We can't have our brave hero sick can we?" The young healer beamed.
Farrah felt touched and honored by Cadence's adoration and willingness to help. "Oh, sure. Anything you can do to help would be great."
"Excellent! just lay back and tell me how you feel while I start with a simple healing spell."
As the bright flow of Aether's healing energy washed over her, she began to explain. "To be honest, there's been so much going on lately I haven't really thought about my own needs in a while. But as for today I got really dizzy, tired, and nauseous all of a sudden. I'm sure it's just because I was battling a primal and haven't slept or ate much lately. So I came here to rest."
Cadence nodded in understanding. "Do you feel any better after the healing spell?"
Farrah thought for a minute to see if anything felt different or better. "I don't feel quite as exhausted but still dizzy and nauseous."
the beautiful young healer let out a small "hmm".
"Mind if I?" She gestured to her patients stomach.
"No, not at all" Farrah gave permission with a sweet smile.
Cadence lifted Farrah's shirt over her stomach and began feeling around for any lingering battle damage. After a few more "hmm"s and "huh"s, she pulled out a small strip of cloth with inked markings and laid it across the exposed abdomen, from top to bottom.
"Miss Farrah, may I ask when your last monthly flower was?"
"Oh..." The beautiful Hyur paused in thought. "I hadn't even thought about it recently. But thinking back now I guess it has been a couple months. Could stress be the cause of that?"
"It could, but I don't think that's what's going on here." She laid her patients shirt back down and sat in the bedside chair. "You had mentioned you hadn't eaten much lately, but the swelling in your abdomen would disagree... if stress were the cause."
Farrah looked at Cadence confused and put a hand to her belly, only just realizing how much bigger it was than she remembered.
"Miss Farrah, may I please be so bold as to ask if you've had any... *cough* you know..."
Realization hit the young adventurer and she looked back to her belly. "I'm pregnant...?" she whispered to herself.
Cadence nodded and smiled gently "It would appear so. According to my measurements..." she held up the strip of marked cloth "...It seems you're about 12-14 weeks. So a little over 3 moons.
Farrah grew a large smile on her face while rubbing her baby bump, remembering back a few months ago.
Flashback
"Farrah" Thancred said. "I believe I've got a plan. Our suspect has been posing as a priest, using leaflets bearing false promises to lure the poor. You and I will be serving like with like by posing as impoverished souls in need of succor. Put on the weathered shepherds clothes and join me by the pond north of Sandgate, to the east of here. Let us go there and wait for the kindly priest to come and offer us aid and comfort."
once changed, the Hyur Archer made her way to the hill top where her fellow Scion waited.
"A fine morning for catching false priests, wouldn't you say? By the way, you look absolutely smashing, Farrah. Positively dressed for deception." He laughed gesturing to the torn garments.
"You too. Real fetching." She replied with a wink and a chuckle, admiring his equally torn and worn outfit.
"Ah, why thank you." Thancred gave the adventurer a kind smile. "Please come sit down. We might be waiting here for a while so might as well relax while we can.
Farrah nodded and sat beside him, stretching her legs out in front of her. "Ahh, this feels nice."
"Yeah. Saving the world definitely has its drawbacks. It's hard to find time to just sit back and enjoy life."
"Mhmm" she replied with a nod.
The tall, white haired man beside her glanced down at her with a playful yet curious look. Shifting his weight to sit facing her he questioned, "So tell me about yourself, Farrah. It'd be nice to know a little more about the woman I'll be working alongside."
the young woman looked at him and giggled lightheartedly "what do you wish to know?"
Thancred laughed at her eager willingness and just shrugged his shoulders, leaning back against the tent post folding his arms. "Everything..."
the two of them spent the next couple of hours exchanging stories, likes, and dislikes. Laughter filling the air around them.
"I've got to say, Farrah. working with you is probably the highlight of my career with the Scions. You're an incredible woman."
Blushing brightly, the newest Scion adventurer replied sweetly "Thank you, Thancred. That's very sweet of you."
Thancred just kept looking at her, admiring the flushed pink in her cheeks. "You know, when I first met you back at the Waking Sands, I couldn't help but feel we-"
"Oh you poor unfortunate souls. This is no way for men to live. No way at all." A strange man in a beige hooded cloak approached them and bowed.
"Who are you? What do you want?" Thancred retorted inquisitively.
"Be at ease, child, for I mean you no harm..."
Unfortunately that was a lie. After they uncovered the false priest was Ungusts and set up a trap for the Amalj'aa, using him as bait, it turned out to actually be a trap set for them.
While Thancred was "presently attending to another matter" (according to Minfilia), Farrah fought hard against the giant, lizard beast tribe. Only for her and her men to be caught and taken prisoner.
The beast tribe ended up resurrecting their Primal, Ifrit. But Farrah, alongside a few brave men and women were able to push back their defenses. Everyone was overcome by the power of the primal, twisted into servitude. All but the brave, adventurer.
Just then the handsome white haired Scion came running towards Farrah, fear present in his eyes.
"Pray forgive my lateness!" He exclaimed, calming slightly at the sight of the primal slayer nearly unscathed. After a deep breath and regretful sigh he continued. "I was delayed by a congregation of Amalj'aa zealots. I swear, each seemed more evangelical than the last. I feel I owe you an apology, Farrah. Had I known this mission would prove so dangerous, I would never have left you to face it alone." Thancred gave Farrah a sweet gentle smile. "But let us continue this conversation in more agreeable surrounds. Camp Drybone, shall we say?"
The two walked side by side back to the small desert town. Neither one saying a word, both wanting to. Once just outside the Inn, Thancred finally spoke again. "Now where were we? Ah yes, I was in the process of apologizing." He hung his head down in shame. "I do hope you can forgive me. I arrived too late to be of any use... to you or the abductees." Before Farrah could speak, he shook his head trying to avoid eye contact. "Take some time to relax, and return to the Waking Sands when you are good and ready. We can discuss matters in more detail then." He finally looked up into her gray eyes. With a sad, gentle smile he finished with, "Just don't take too long, will you?" He held her eyes in his for a moment before finally pulling away and making haste for Vesper Bay.
While returning to the Waking Sands, Farrah could make out the faint voices of Minfilia and Thancred just beyond the door. Her white haired partner sounding more than upset.
"...My late arrival nearly cost Farrah her life. I wasn't there when the Amalj'aa took her prisoner. And I wasn't there when they served her to Ifrit. Yes, by some miracle, she survived -but that does not excuse the fact that she should never have had to face such dangers alone. I failed her utterly... Just as I'm failing you all."
"What's done is done, Thancred. You can ill blame yourself for every-"
Just then Farrah walked into the room, her presence halting their conversation.
"Farrah! It is so good to see you again." Minfilia cheered.
"Hello Minfilia, Thancred." Farrah greeted the two with a small nod and a smile.
"Impeccable timing, my friend. I had just finished regaling Minfilia with your heroic exploits."
"Yes, Thancred has told me everything. You have done well to return to us."
Once they had finished talking about what had taken place and briefing of what is to come, Minfilia excused herself, leaving the room to rest. Soon after, the white haired gentleman did the same.
Farrah couldn't help but feel there was something deeply bothering Thancred. So after changing out of her armor and into her night wear, she made way towards his room. With a soft fist, she knocked on the heavy wooden door. A man's voice rang through with an exhausted, weathered tone.
"Come in."
The door slowly opened and Farrah carefully stepped inside.
"Oh, it's you!" Thancred said cheerfully, giving a welcoming smile. He had just finished removing his top layer of armor. "To what do I owe the pleasure?" He asked lightheartedly.
The beautiful young woman closed the door and walked towards the tall, muscular man with a concerned expression. "Thancred, are you alright? I couldn't help but feel there was something else you wanted to say." she put her hand on his comfortingly.
Swiftly he pulled her tiny frame into his strong arms, holding her tenderly against his body. Farrah could feel against his chest his shaking breath.
"I almost lost you today due to my stupidity. By the gods, Farrah. I don't know what I would have done had you succumbed to Ifrit's wrath. I wouldn't be able to live with myself." He pulled her away just enough to look in her eyes. "I was going to tell you before. The first time I saw you, I couldn't help but feel there was this instant connection. This just feels right... to have you in my arms..." Before she knew it he pulled her to his lips. She kissed back, giving him her answer, she felt it too.
He was shocked, at first, that she shared the same feelings for him, but only for a moment. Soon it became so natural and comfortable.
As their lips and tongues never parted for anything more than breath, Thancred's hand wove its way into Farrah's soft, brown hair. The other hand firmly grabbed and squeezed her ass, pulling her body even closer to his. The petite Hyur wrapped her legs around his hips and he carried her to the bed. Thancred laid her down gently, looking upon her with dark mesmerized eyes.
Hands on her bare thighs and gown pushed up, he waited for her approval. Farrah looked into his deep, hazel eyes and nodded with a red hot blush. At this gesture he smiled at the woman laid before him, then began to undo his pants.
Farrah could feel his firm erection against her inner thigh, making her only want him more. Thancred helped remove her clothing, staring in awe at her slender, fair form. Sliding his strong hands up her thick hips to her breasts. Once he knew she was ready, he withdrew one of his hands and positioned himself at her silky, wet entrance. One smooth movement and she was filled with his hard, throbbing length. They both gasped and moaned in pleasure at each other's largeness and tightness. Thancred eagerly grabbed Farrah's hips and thrust himself in and out of her warm, soft sheath. Panting heavily, the white haired bard pressed his thumb against her sensitive knot, rubbing her gently.
Neither one was going to last very long. As her walls tightened around him and hips shaking with her closeness, he grabbed Farrah by the back of her neck, pulling her face and body to his. Pushing inside of her as deep as their bodies could let him. Breathing each other's hot air, his undercarriage tightened, filling her womb with his seed. She moaned at his heat entering her, massaging her insides as she shook and came around him.
The handsome man slowly pulled out of her and moaned again at the sensitive movement. Thancred laid down upon the bed next to Farrah, enveloping her in his muscular arms and pulling her to his bare chest.
"Mmm" he moans, nuzzling his face against her hair. "Darling, you have brought such peace to my life from the moment you walked into it... I don't ever want to let you go."
She turned in his arms to face her new lover. With a smile, she held his face and whispered "then don't". Their lips pressed against one another, but this time, slow and full of a different kind of passion. This was only the beginning. The first of many, no longer lonely, nights.
End Flashback
"Thancred's baby..." Farrah whispered to herself admiring and rubbing her baby bump. Full of a newfound energy and excitement, she jumped out of bed and began throwing her armor back on.
"I have to go, I have to tell him!" She explained to Cadence with a large smile plastered on her face.
"Miss, you really must get some rest!" The nurse exclaimed. Cadence was shocked Farrah was up and moving so quickly after her patient had just been sick.
While struggling with her boots, she told her healer companion, "No time, I have to go and tell him. I'll rest as soon as I get there, I promise!" Farrah ran to her, giving her a big hug and handed her a purse full of Gil. Farrah yelled "Thank you" as the brave, and pregnant adventurer ran out the door and away to the Waking Sands.
