Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Guardian of the Queen. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Destiny; Microsoft and a few others do.
Nicholas looked upon the galaxy as he started to think about what was to come next to it. Nicholas turned at the sound to see Mara Sov while he started to think about what happened next. There was too much for him to dwell upon, still? There was plenty to think about what happened next.
"I'm going to guess that you've gotten your own plans, yes?" Nicholas questioned from under his helmet as he started to think about, he next word. "I'm beginning to think you planned for me being part of the plans when it came down to it?" Nicholas asked while he thought about the next move when it came down to it.
"Your smart, but you're not as smart as you might believe, Nicholas." Mara stated which got a chuckle from Nicholas as he rubbed at his temples, curious as to the next move.
"If I didn't? There would be nothing to really think about." Nicholas pointed out, looking around the world a moment later. "The next move when it came down to it is what you're ALWAYS thinking about. There's too much at stake for you to not have plenty of plans at the moment. If it was either at the time? Then there would be almost nothing left." Nicholas stated to think about his next move.
Then again? He didn't know what the next plan was. Nicholas was quite scared at the rest of his species. They had nothing holding them back, no ability to really side with either light or the darkness itself. If they did? Then it would have been so easy to simply ponder their next move, but they weren't.
"You remember how we met before I joined the guardians?" Nicholas questioned; his voice rather soft. "I do, I never forgotten any of it. I just couldn't. There's too much history to shift through at the end of the day and currently? I don't have a clue about it." Nicholas added, crossing his arms over his chest as he closed his eyes.
"Do you remember how you told me you didn't know that the rest of the galaxy was dangerous?" Mara questioned to which she got Nicholas to raise an eyebrow under his helmet. "No, I suppose not, that was 20 years ago." Mara pointed out as Nicholas crossed his arms, looking over his shoulder at the moment.
"Do you want me to speak about stuff that has long since been done and dusted, Mara?" Nicholas questioned while he watched one of her many ships began to spin through the air. "I know plenty about you. I know things you want me to know and things you don't want ANYONE to know. I've been at war with the darkness, something you think is beneath the awoken who used to be part of humanity." Nicholas added, turning with a pointed finger towards Mara who was silent at this.
He wasn't surprised, Mara kept her cards as close to her chest as possible. It wasn't like she had many options; many people wanted her head and despite her connections? If there weren't guardians to do her work? She'd be almost dead by now if not dead to something else. Mara could only point out that next option she made at the moment.
"Don't think your blameless, Nicholas. I know more about you then the city at the second." Mara stated while Nicholas crossed his arms as he looked to the ground.
"And you have enough evidence to put you into your own prison for years." Nicholas responded, closing his eyes. "Don't act like we don't have business from before. There's always an angle when it comes down to it." Nicholas stated, uncrossing his arms over his chest and planting them over his hips.
Nicholas was quiet as the two thoughts of a second of a time long before then. He was curious when it came down to it what her move was going to be, there was going to be a maneuver he didn't see coming. She did it all the time when he thought about it.
Nicholas was not curious about her intention when it came down to it. He still needed to think about it, keeping an eye on her that way she didn't do something that could hurt the galaxy. Mara was far craftier when he reflected upon it.
"Things were more dangerous without you. I do have to think about the ceremony coming up, it is rather something." Mara added before she turned and walked away at the moment.
He was left to think about the next talk about the next talk they had. Nicholas was only anxious about then, unsure what her intention was.
Nicholas put his hands on his hips, unsure what to say or do. Was there anything he could really say at all?
