19. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Sponge: Hello, my friends! Thank you for coming back to this story for a very important and exciting announcement. Before we begin, I just wanted to thank you all IMMENSELY for the amazing support and genuine kindness you've shown this series. A lot has changed about my life since 2010 when I first started writing Origins. I never thought I'd come back to writing Scooby Doo fanfiction after having been away for eight years, but I'm thrilled that so many of you took the time to read and review my work. It means more to me than I can say, especially since I really am much too old to be writing silly cartoon fanfiction.

But that doesn't mean I'm going to stop any time soon.

I'm super excited to announce that I'm working on a BRAND NEW SERIES of Scooby fanfiction, detailing the gang's time in college! Or rather, their time during the summer breaks from college, when they're all together again. As well as solving mysteries, the gang will find themselves in increasingly difficult personal situations regarding their long-distance friendships with each other, and how to keep them going as they grow in different directions. There will be angst. There will be humor. There will be romance. There will be blood, sweat, and tears.

There may also be a hint of the paranormal later on.

In an homage to the film Scooby Doo on Zombie Island, the official title for this new project is the "Terror Time" series. As of now, I'm planning to write four multi-chapter stories, each with an element from a familiar, existing work of literature or film. For the first story, I think I can get by with a T rating, as the story will have language, spooky elements, some peril, and a dash of romantic situations. Pairings will be (say it with me now,) Shelma and Fraphne. I'm already hard at work on the first installment, and am very eager to share it with you once it's complete!

That being said, I have a lot of irons in the fire this fall, so posting probably won't begin until the new year. I don't have an official date yet, but I know that I'll be posting on Wednesdays at 10pm. Add me to your author alerts if you haven't already, so you can be notified for when the first chapter of the next story will post.
