Brick was sitting in the grass of Townsville Park, he had gotten separated from his brothers after a little incident involving the three of them, a pizza parlor, and some yelling. Brick didn't mind that much; it was nice to be alone right now. He had so much going through his mind these days and he couldn't do anything about it. He looked up towards the old Observatory, Mojo's home. It was his home once too. The people of Townsville tend to stay away from this part of the park because of Mojo, they didn't want to be yelled at.
Brick chuckled to himself because what the people didn't realize is that Mojo is actually nice. At least to Brick and his brothers he was. They had only lived with him for 72 hours before the Girls destroyed them, but for those three days, it was the best. Mojo made them their favorite foods, let them stay up late and watch TV. He let them sleep in his huge bed at night. He had even gone out and got them new clothes and toys, thinking that they were going to be a family. It wasn't meant to be.
Brick wanted that again for his brothers and himself more then anything, but one of HIM's first rules was that they weren't allowed to talk to Mojo, in fact they had to pretend they didn't remember him. That day when Mojo confronted them, it was hard for the Boys. They wanted nothing more then to go back home with Mojo, but they knew for his safety, they couldn't. HIM threatened to kill Mojo if they ever talked to him again.
Brick was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't hear Blossom land right next him. She stood over him and just waited. She didn't want to interrupt Brick from his daydream cause whatever it was, he looked so happy. She slowly began to sit down next to Brick, her long hair brushing against his hand as she did so. Brick felt something touch his fingers, he shook his hand, thinking it was an ant, but when he looked and saw his female counterpart, he wished it was just an ant.
Blossom smiled at him, "What're thinking about so intently?" Brick scowled at her but answered, "Nothing worth talking about." Blossom just nodded and processed to pick at the grass. Brick watched her from his peripheral. They just sat in silence for a while before Blossom spoke again, "Where are your brothers?" she asked, still picking at grass. Brick just shrugged.
Blossom looked up towards Mojo's liar soon realizing that that was what Brick had been staring at this whole time. "When was the last time you talked to Mojo?" she asked. Brick jumped a little at this question, "On purpose? Never." This answered confused Blossom, "What do you mean?" Brick shook his head and began to stand up, "Never mind…" Blossom followed him to her feet, "Is everything okay, Brick?"
Brick let out a sigh, "What do you care?" Blossom crossed her arms around her chest, "I was just asking. You don't have to be such a jerk all the time. You know that right?" Brick was about to cuss her out when the sound of a door opening caused them both to look up. Mojo was coming out of the Observatory, needing to run an errand. Brick watched him descend the stairs, his cape flowing behind him. Brick never understood where the wind always came from.
The two young kids watched a little longer till Mojo was at the very bottom, Blossom raised her hand and, "Hello, Mojo!" she shouted over. This caused Brick's heart to jump into his throat. He took off into the sky before Mojo saw him. Blossom watched as he flew away then back to Mojo who just waved back, confused, but went on with his business.
Blossom went after Brick. It didn't take her long to catch up to him. She flew ahead of him and cut him off. Brick stopped short before he ran into her. He was mad, "Why did you do that?" he yelled at Blossom. She was taken a back but answered, "I was just saying hi to him." Brick squeezed his hands into fist, "No you weren't! You did that on purpose. You wanted Mojo to see me and get us both in trouble!" Blossom wasn't sure what to do next, what did that mean? "What do you mean get in trouble? Who? With whom?" was all she could say.
Brick was still angry but relaxed his hands, she didn't understand what was going on his life and he wasn't about to tell her either. "Forget it. Forget I said anything and just get out of my way." Brick went around Blossom and flew out of sight, he needed to find his brothers.
Brick searched around the city for his brothers, he soon found them on the pier. They were watching ships off in the distant. They were talking to each other, but Brick couldn't make it out. He landed behind them, "Hey dudes." Butch and Boomer turned, "Oh hey. Where've you been?" Butch asked. Brick walked over and stood in between them, "Nowhere."
The three stood on the pier for a little while longer before deciding that they were hungry and went to get some fried chicken. Like all their meals, they would have to steal it. They found their favorite chicken place and procced to threaten the workers there to give them a large bucket of chicken and sodas. Once they had their dinner they took off before the police showed up, not that they would be able to do anything.
The Boys went back to the park and ate their dinner. They didn't really speak while they ate, just looked around and watched each other's backs. Once they were done Brick finally decided to say something that was on his mind, "Do you guys miss, Mojo?" Butch and Boomer both looked at him, confused. Butch was the first to answer, "Whos Mojo?" he asked looking around nervously. Brick nodded his head. Boomer spoke next, "I miss having a bed…" Brick's eye began to sting but said nothing.
It was soon night, and the Boys were still sitting in the park. They streetlights began to hum to life. Butch stood up and cleaned the dirt off the back of his pants, "Well…now what?" Brick and Boomer joined him, "Lets go get some ice cream." Boomer suggested, his brothers agreed.
While flying to the ice cream parlor Brick had a new thought, one that never occurred to him before, while not having any rules or boundaries was awesome, the Boy's days just seemed to be endless. They pretty much did the same thing over and over. All to survive. "Hey, wait…" Brick shouted to his brothers. They stopped flying and looked at him.
Brick wasn't sure what to say, he wasn't even sure why he wanted to stop in the first place, but "Let's go to The Girl's house." Butch and Boomer looked at him, confused, "Why?" Butch asked. "I…I want to see something." Brick answered and began to fly in the direction of the Girl's house, his brothers close behind him.
Once there, Brick flew over to the three big windows that looked into the Girl's bedroom. The three of them looked inside. They didn't see anyone so the went in. "What're we doing?" Boomer asked, Brick shrugged. They snooped around, looking in the Girl's closet, dresser, and under their bed. Nothing but girl things. The three of them were soon jumping on their clean bed, messing up they sheets and pillows. Getting mud all over the blanket, they were laughing the whole time.
Boomer went over to the vanity and got out some of the girl's play make up out, he used a tube of lipstick to write on the mirror, 'RRB RULEZ'. He dumped some of their nail polish into the carpet and rubbed it in. Butch was throwing clothes all over the place, he blushed a little when he touched a pair of underwear but just threw them with the rest of the clothes. Brick was ripping heads off of stuffed animals and dolls.
By the time they were done, the Girl's room was huge mess. "This was so fun!" Boomer laughed, Brick and Butch agreed. They soon heard voices coming from the hallway, it was the Girls. They got out of there just as the door opened. The laughed when they heard the Girls scream.
The next morning Brick was getting breakfast for him and his brothers when he felt a kick to his stomach. He went flying into a building, through the smoke he saw Blossom. "What was that for?" He cried out, even though he already knew the answer, he couldn't hide his smile. "What is wrong with you? Don't you know you never go into a lady's room without permission!" Blossom yelled at him. Brick stifled a laugh, "I don't see no lady here."
Blossom was angry at him, "I can't believe you! Why?" Brick shrugged and smiled, "Kicks? We were bored." Blossom let out a frustrated sigh, "You know…I should kick your butt and I probably will some other time, but I'm going to let it go for now." Brick was shocked, "Why?" he asked. Blossom shook her head and pinched the bridge of her nose, "I don't know. Just be ready next time. Got it?" Before Brick could answer Blossom flew off.
Brick just floated there, dumbfounded. Why didn't she want to fight him? Was she feeling sorry from him? She better not be, cause that was just going to cause more problems for her, Brick went and got breakfast. Once back to his brothers he told them what happened and warned that Buttercup and Bubbles might come for them next. They ate their breakfast and began to make a plan for the day.
