Chapter 7

Yuuji sighed aloud as he went back home with Suiryu. The two were rather silent as they walked back, Suiryu in particular. He kept looking over at him oddly, almost feeling responsible for what happened. "I'm so sorry…" he said and sighed. "I should have kept a better handle on this. I should have seen this happening…"

But he wouldn't hear of it. Yuuji put his hand on his shoulder and merely smiled warmly to him. 'I want to tell him it's not his fault so much, we don't know how this came about…' he thought.

But since he has no use of his curse or divine energy, he couldn't channel his thoughts.

Suiryu however, paused oddly enough. "Wait… how did I just feel that? Were you trying to tell me it's not my fault?" he asked aloud.

Yuuji's eyes widened and nodded. He chirped once but quickly silenced himself. 'Wait, could it be… since we are technically twins...' he thought.

"Twin connection… why the hell did I think of that? It may explain why I could understand you rather easily!" he laughed.

The two smirked to the discovery, but Suiryu still sighed aloud. "This is going to be a massive pain in the ass…" he said in a warning tone. "But I promise. I'll look out for you."

He nodded and smiled to him before patting his back.

Yuuji's stomach then rumbled as he gave off the hungry chirp sound. Instantly she appeared.

Suiryu however glared at her. "Let me guess, you know the sound of a hungry infant dragon?" he demanded of her.

She merely nodded. "I have been around them all my life, ever since I was a kit myself," she explained. "I have learned and memorized their calls."

"But this one is engrained into you…"

Yuuji however didn't care if she knew the call or not, he was only grateful to her for ensuring he doesn't starve! She gave him a new drinking pitcher, from there he effortlessly downed the dragon milk and was satisfied for the time being. He gave a gracious bow to her as she returned the gesture. "Any time young master…"

"That reminds me, how is Ryujin through all of this? If he can't use his divine or curse energy…"

"Yuuji is still cultivating as we speak." She explained.

'I am?' Yuuji thought, but shrugged his shoulders to it all.

"As for Ryujin… I have not been able to contact him myself. I still sense him, but I cannot reach him to see how he is doing."

Yuuji sighed to the news. Suiryu nodded to it as well.

"Anyways, it took some time, but Yuuji won't be defenseless… not that he was to begin with. We have utilized the chakra within his own body to summon extra strength if need be. If anything it would be enough to repel a grade one curse, or destroy weaker ones." He explained.

Kitsune appeared surprised. "You developed a new jujutsu just for him to use?"

"I refuse to leave my brother defenseless. Not to mention his elemental power is still a little unstable for him to use," Suiryu muttered. "But this is just enough to defend himself. I don't know how long chakra energy should or could last. Fortunately, he's still strong and can hold his own, this is emergency use only."

She appeared to have nodded in agreement. Then she noticed the red mark on Yuuji's arm. "What's that?"

"Familiar from Tanso." He said. "Blood serpent, if I am not mistaken if needed, injects a venom into the victim, they will bleed out, at the same time, if the snake takes the blood, it will become stronger. But for now, that's the back up plan."

She appeared impressed. "I never thought you would go through so much trouble to care for him…"

He sneered at her. "Just who the hell do you think I am?" he snapped back. "He's my brother… I wouldn't be here without him, the fact is I got a debt to repay! If he didn't suggest Sukuna be purified, I would be in hell alongside with him!"

Yuuji froze.

He turned to Suiryu who sighed aloud. "I didn't mean to sound like…" he muttered.

He did the only thing he could do, Yuuji pulled him into his arms and gave him a heartfelt embraced. Suiryu never returns the hug though, but he appears not to mind it the least bit. "I am grateful to you, which is why I want to be sure you are safe no matter what…" he whispered.

He pulled away but kept smiling to Suiryu. He then playfully ruffled his hair before moving on. Kitsune continued to follow them, along the way she said if Yuuji ever needed help he just had to call aloud. "The sound you make now, similar to that of a baby alligator is that of a baby dragon. The divine will come to you, like what happened earlier." She explained. "To them… to all of us, a baby dragon is precious…"

'Great, I'm a baby dragon…' Yuuji thought.

"All we need now is to get you a onesies!" snickered Suiryu.

"What was that?" Kitsune demanded.

"I figured out that I can hear his thoughts in my head. Since we are twins in a sense, as odd as that sounds. He was just saying 'great, I'm a baby dragon' I joked that we need to get him a onesies!"

Yuuji glared at him once more for that. 'Just because I am being called a baby dragon doesn't mean you dress me up as a baby!' he thought back at him.

Suiryu still snickered at the notion.

Kitsune rolled her eyes to it all. "You boys have your work cut out for you, but rest assured. I will be there to assist," she stated.

"Good, like hell I am going to do this alone," warned Suiryu.

He went right to bed the moment they returned.

Yuuji was dead tired from today, at the same time he tried to think of what will happen next. 'No one has made it pass the infant stage of this… I wonder what chance I have?' he thought.

Just like everything else, there was no going back now. He sighed aloud and decided to get some sleep.

It came rather quickly that night. Yet as he slept, he began to feel hungry once more. 'Damn it, each time this happens…' he thought, but then, he felt himself getting full. Slowly, his eyes opened. He looked up as Kitsune was peering down at him in a loving manner. Yet the moment their eyes met, she froze.

Yuuji sat up as he took a bottle out of his mouth before turning to her, bewildered. "Young master… I'm sorry I didn't want to wake you… and you were hungry… I…" she stammered. But then sighed. "I'm sorry, I am enjoying this too much," she said with a nervous smile. "You are too cute when you lie there and take the bottle."

He kept staring at it.

He was being treated like a baby!

At the same time though, she must have been doing this for a while since he was asleep and all. "Young master, finish your meal… I'll take the bottle back in the morning…"

She was about to leave until he gave a sharp chirp at her. She froze as he sighed aloud and passed it back to her. "Are you done?" she asked.

He lay back down in bed and made the hungry sound once more. Yet he paused as he grabbed a pen and paper, quickly jotting down a note and making her read it.

'This does not leave this room!'

Her smile grew, to the point she could hardly contain her excitement.

She came back over to his side, bottle ready as she gently propped him up and fed him once more. He will admit, it was rather nice! He finished his drink and gave a gracious nod to her.

She bowed back. "Thank you, young master for indulging this old fox…" she said and vanished.

He sighed aloud. No doubt Suiryu would never let him hear the end of it if he ever found out!
