Chapter 2: A New Friend

It was a few days until the young man woke up, sitting up too quickly as he felt a sharp pain… well, everywhere. He then looked around curiously, wondering where he was as he wasn't in his home. He then forced himself to stand up, panic rising as he looked around. "Where am I..?" He asked, more to himself.
"You're safe now," a voice said, a slim and tall figure walking over to him. "Who are you?" He asked, the girl softly smiling as her neon purple eyes stared at the male. "Name's Andr, yours?" She would ask, getting a mumbling response from the near adult, "... what?" She tilted her head, her long brown hair following. "Elijah." He said clearly. At this, the girl, Andr, smiled a bit, leaning forward at him, "Quite a nice name." She would say, standing back up straight as she then moved to push him back down onto the bed. He looked at the girl, surprised at the strength she had. He then was laid back down, wincing a bit as he had to lay on where he had been shot from behind. Elijah sighed, staring up at the ceiling of wherever he was as Andr sat down at the side of the bed, just kinda… watching him. The endergirl had kept her smile from before, then began to lightly pet him. To his own shock, Elijah didn't even oppose. Sure, he hadn't interacted with… any female since he graduated highschool, being a college drop-out as well, he just to himself, feeling himself relax a bit. This made Andr smile more, the endergirl standing up, beginning to walk away. Once she made it to the entrance of the cavern, she teleported away, leaving the now unconscious Elijah alone for the time being.

While he was unconscious in his dream state, he groaned a bit, his body temperature rising quickly and Andr wasn't there to cool him down. He eventually woke up, groaning as he stood up. He felt nauseous, his body felt hot and he quickly got his shirt off and his pants. He was all too uncomfortable with heat and he tried finding something to help cool him off; though, it was then that Andr came back. Almost immediately she noticed his condition and guided him back to the bed, laying him back down as she, within the blink of an eye, came back with a bucket of water, then ran a cool cloth on his head, Andr sighing a bit, "Yeesh, you tend to never listen, huh?" She then giggled softly, standing up as she began to prep some food, assuming that he'd be hungry when he woke again.

In Elijah's sleep, he was having a dream. A strange one. In his dream, he was in a dark area. It wasn't Minecraft, nor was it in a cave. He was back in his room; the lights being off. Elijah began to move, walking out of his room and into the main part of his house. It was there that he found his parents, both doing their own thing and not paying attention to him, as usual. Though, it was strange because as soon as he entered the living room, his parents turned to look at him, both staring him in the eyes quite creepily. "So you've finally come out of that hole of a room." His mother said to him, slowly peeling her eyes away from him, "Absurd, that you think staying in your room is better than to be with family."
It was then that Elijah grit his teeth. He didn't want to take this shit from someone that was barely a mother. "Yeah? Well maybe I wouldn't be like this if I actually had a family." He was, to say the least, furious that his mother, who was barely there for him, had the audacity to say these words, especially when it was her and his father that left him alone to care for himself. He scoffed and walked back to his room, the floor then caving in as he started to fall. Elijah then woke up with a start, quickly sitting up before he felt a dull pain, now more sore than hurt. He had no clue how long he'd been out, but it only felt like a few minutes. His heart was racing and he felt full of adrenaline because of the startled wake up, though… there was another warmth next to him. He hesitantly looked to his right, seeing Andr asleep by his side. To say the least, he was shocked, but found the cuteness of her quite endearing. It came to him as a shock that he could ever feel attracted to a girl, but shook his head, he didn't know how to feel. Elijah didn't know what to do as he then realized he wasn't wearing anything other than boxers, which lead him to only panic more. He swiftly got himself dressed and sighed, looking at his gear. He himself needed to work on his fighting if he ever wanted to be able to protect himself.

He left the room and winced from the sunlight, using his hand as shade just as he had when he first arrived to this strange world. Elijah had his gear on, creating a practice dummy out of some wood, which, really was just a few logs the equivalent of 2 blocks high and left spaces between them all so he could have the sense of overwhelming enemies. He first decided to practice his stance, though he was unsure of how to position himself as he was now going to just be self-taught. Once he figured out what stances worked for him and what stances didn't, he'd start swinging. He made sure he was hitting more precise, choosing his movements wisely, backing up just so he didn't fumble over himself. He then moved forward, rushing past the one in front of him to attack the ones behind the wooden practice dummy he made. He attacked, being careful as he made sure to protect his flank. It wasn't long, however, that he felt tired, panting a bit as he was out of energy. He wasn't as athletic as he hoped he could be, but he sighed to himself, wanting to push himself past his own limits, despite being hurt. He took a deep breath and returned to practicing, shadow fighting now.

By the end of the day, he was sweaty, out of breath, tired and quite frankly, he was starving. He then very hesitantly went back to where Andr and him were, for lack of better words, sleeping together. Elijah looked over to see that the girl was awake, just staring at him intently. There was an awkward tension between the two was just that: awkward. Elijah then scratched the back of his head, unsure of what to say. His stomach, however, spoke for him. It scowled and made him blush with embarrassment, Andr's only reaction being a soft giggle. "My, my. Must be hungry after spending all day training so aimlessly," She smirked at him lightly as she stood up, gesturing to the food she made before, "You can heat this up yourself." After saying this, she teleported away, leaving Elijah both awkward and confused as he then went to start heating up whatever Andr had made, eating it like it was the first meal he's had in years. He very quickly finished his meal and sighed, scratching his head as he thought about how what to do for a bath. He'll probably wash up in a river that he set up base by. Though, the real problem was getting home. He had no clue where he was and had no way of knowing where his house was. He then slowly left the cavern, looking outside. He then set up a little tower to look around, though… he noticed that Andr's base was really close to his own. Nearly neighbors, in fact. Elijah sighed a bit and started making his way home, thinking to himself. He wondered where Andr teleported and honestly, it made him nervous about what would happen in the future if Andr and him got close.

Andr had teleported to a very discreet place. There, she was met with a few of her personal friends. She had long since wiped the grin off her face that she had gotten from Elijah out of amusement. This meeting, however, brought her no amusement. She took her seat next to an elder enderman. He had been on this council for a while now and she didn't trust him a single bit. Though, it wasn't like anyone there trusted her either. She was a wild card to them, an anomaly. She was the only one of the ender people that had a human-like appearance. She sighed and looked at the leader of the conference. They were talking about some big plan to awaken the greatest foe that could ever exist, but they didn't have the resources. Hence why they had Andr with them. She could pass as human and she was able to come back and forth no problem and without the risk of getting hunted for her pearls.

"Andr. Anything to add?" An elder asked, all attention turning to her. "Uh, no. Nothing to add." She would say, having barely paid any attention to the meeting. "Really? That's rather interesting considering it seems you haven't quite been contributing much. Any new info from the other world, youngling?" The elder asked her. His tone was snarky and disapproving as he stared at Andr. He despised how slowly she was approaching this. "Right, right. Well, we've got nothing new to add to the information either," She lied. "Nothing important has been happening and the villages know nothing about what's about to happen." Andr would then sigh as the meeting was called to an end, immediately teleporting out back to the overworld to… totally uncreepily spy on Elijah. There was just something about him that made her feel a certain way and she needed to know what it was.
