Chapter 5
Round 3: KNOCKOUT
"[The 2nd Round ended with an unexpected... loss, for the Groggy Monsters. The two crews are now tied! Coming up is the third and final round of the Davy Back Fight that will decide everything! This round is the crowd favourite... The most eagerly anticipated~ BATTLE ROUND!]"
The Foxy Pirates roared in excitement at Itomimizu's announcement. Itomimizu was on the stage, hyping up the crowd. Even the bird, Chuchun, seemed just as excited. The Straw-Hats however, just watched the stage with a passive observance. Zoro took his swords back as the game was done. Maxwell had also collected his foci from Usopp and the others. It felt comfortable having his familiars around his waist again, "Wait a second... Where's my staff? The bamboo one."
"Oh that... uh..." Usopp looked around nervously, "I got no idea."

Maxwell hung his head, "...Maker damn it. NOT AGAIN!" The mage seemed to have lost another staff.
Usopp meanwhile whistled, as he eyed a hidden cubby hole in one of the nearby food stands. He kicked back a suspiciously cylindrical piece of wood sticking out of it, promising he would come back for that later.
"[Alright, quiet down everyone!]" Itomimizu waved his arms to get everyone's attention, "[First, we will pick the battlefield—]"
"We get to pick the battlefield?" Zoro raised an eyebrow at the announcer.
"[—With the Field-Chooser Cannon!]" A cannon was brought out and both Luffy and Foxy approached the turret.
"[Both players will now spin the cannon!]" The captains of both crews did just that. They seemed to go in a clockwise direction and let the cannon spin by itself after a bit. The neck of the artillery seemed to be fixed at one angle, so it didn't flail around while spinning.
"[And then... When the cannon comes to a halt naturally...]"
The cannon did not in fact do that. "HOLD ON! THAT DOESN'T LOOK NATURAL AT ALL!" Usopp yelled in protest as cannon had suddenly snapped back the other way, just as it was about to stop.
The cannon then fired it's payload in it's intended direction, "[The field chosen with the cannon is coincidentally the ship of the Foxy Pirates, the Sexy Foxy!]"
"Coincidental? Yeah right! Cheaters!" Usopp raged at the stage persona.
"It doesn't matter. Stop whining," said Zoro. Luffy was going to win no matter where the arena was.
Itomimizu then took back to the air, "[Alright! Now that the battlefield is chosen, it's time to explain the rules! The actual field is the area within a 50 meter radius of where the cannonball landed. So that's a circular field of 100 meters in diameter! You may use any weapon on the ship. Aside from contestants, no other person is allowed on the field. The first person to kick the opponent out of the field wins! That's all—By the way, the spaces above and under the circle are part of the field.]"
Music then cued up from the stage, "[If you adjust your attention to the stage, you can enjoy a performance by Boss' Sexy Foxy Cheerleaders. Led by our very lovely lady, Porche! Please also note that various Davy Back Fight souvenirs are being sold right now. Make sure you get something to commemorate this exciting event!]"
"We don't need that trash! Start the game already!" Nami protested at the announcement. However, the stands seemed to pick back up in full force. It seemed like this was going to take awhile...
Maxwell shook his head at the entertainment venues for the Davy Back Fight. The mage wasn't sure if this was a trap or these Foxy's had developed their own little community with these fights. He chose, instead, to sit on the ground and let Chopper look them over. Zoro, Maxwell, and Sanji had gotten off rather scot-free with the Groggy Ring. However, since Chopper was officially back, they humoured the little doctor and got a check-up.
Chopper was busy fretting over Sanji at the moment, "Thank a ton! You three were so cool! You kicked their butts big time!"
Both Sanji and Zoro laughed, "I guess I did singlehandedly..." Untill they realized they were both speaking.
"What did you say!?" "Like you could—!"
"'Singlehandedly?'" Nami pushed them apart before they could start another fight again. Zoro glared from behind Nami's hand, but he reluctantly accepted it. Sanji of course just liked being touched by a woman.
Maxwell just laughed, "Hahahahaha! Thank you Nami," at least he didn't have to deal with them this time.
The mage then turned to Chopper, "And you're very welcome, Chopper. We're glad to have you back!"
The human-reindeer just smiled, happy to be among friends again.
"Max. Someone is calling for Luffy." Nami hadn't just come to break up the muscle-heads.
The mage then got to his feet, "Probably for the fight then... Any idea where Luffy is?" He looked around but he wasn't with the crew.
"I think he's..." Nami then saw Usopp and Luffy at one of the souvenir shops.
"Thank you. Here are your special Foxy pins," The salesman smiled as he handed something to the boys.
"DON'T BUY THAT TRASH!" Nami yelled at Luffy and Usopp. They had both both bought a pin that looks like Foxy's face. And the pins seemed to have a voice recording of Foxy's laugh too.
Maxwell shook his head but walked up to his captain, "Luffy. Someone's looking for you. Come on."
"Hm?" Luffy looked at him curiously, but followed his first-mate. Usopp also came along.
They ended up talking to one of the Foxy Pirates, "Contestants need to go to the rest area."
"That's me!" Luffy raised his hand.
"Okay, who will be your coach?"
Maxwell looked at the pirate strangely, "What does a carriage have to do with a pirate fight?" There wasn't even civilization for miles around.
"Ah hold on, Max. I got this," Usopp then turned to the underling and pointed at himself, "I can be the coach."
"Alright. Follow me." Luffy and Usopp then follow the Foxy Pirate towards the ship.
"F!" "O!" "X!" "Y!" "FOXY! FOXY~!" Maxwell caught a glance at the stage. The cheerleaders were standing on top of each other in peculiar stances to make letters.
"What are they doing?" Zoro frowned as he realized something else was going on at the Sexy Foxy.
"Entertaining?" Nami saw that there was a boxing match going on on the giant fox figurehead.
"Are they really going to fight there?" Chopper realized that there were bleachers being erected on the shore.
Robin smiled at the little reindeer, "It's just a pre-game show."
"...Like a squires tourney, right?" These fighters were putting on an... interesting performance. Both guys seemed way to out of shape to fight and they had barely moved from their places on the ship. One was doing the boxing equivalent of a cat fight. While the other was hiding behind a shield.
Maxwell turned from the far off match, "...So. Shall we find our seats?" The others quickly agreed and followed Max to the bleachers. That's where everybody would be watching the fight. Sanji seemed to have gone off somewhere though...
Fireworks fired off in the air as the pre-game fight finished, "[The preparations are complete! The most exciting event of the day is starting! It's the Battle Round~! The fight will begin soon!]"
Maxwell looked up from the walk way as cannons fired something into the sky. Robin and Chopper also looked up, "Eh? The sky turned dark." "It's filled with black smoke!" Nami and Zoro didn't seemed to bothered by it though.
Sanji, somehow, was already here before them, "Nami~ Robin~ There are some seats here!" He had two sets of popcorn and fountain drinks in his hands, but they were probably for the girls anyways. Still, the entire row was empty, so the crew decided to sit at the front of the bleachers.
"[And now...!]" Two spotlights came on. They shone the images of both Luffy's and Foxy's wanted posters on the black smoke above. The crowd got more and more excited as Itomimizu kept talking, "[The two fighters of the final round... Are the corresponding captains!]"
"[From the left ear...]" Light and smoke started pouring out from the ear cavity, "[He's the returning champion... With a record of 920 straight wins! He is the captain of the Foxy Pirates!]" Music began to play as four silhouettes appeared in the din, "[Our boss... FOXY~ THE SILVER FOX~!]"
The crowd went wild as Foxy revealed himself. He had thrown off a cloak, showing to be in a completely different outfit. Foxy abandoned his usual coat, and attire, for a pair of overalls, boots, and boxing gloves. Three of his men were doing poses to accent his swagger. He took in their cheers as he raised his gloves in the air.
"[And from the right ear...]" Smoke and light began to billow out for Luffy's side too, "[The captain of a small but~ ferocious team of pirates,]" A lone figure appeared in the smoke, "[With an amazing bounty of 100 million beri... He is... known as the Straw-Hat kid...]"
"...When did that become a thing?" Maxwell frowned at the nickname. "Straw-Hat" Maxwell understood. It was a part of his bounty poster. But adding the "kid" to his epithet, didn't really make sense, "...Oh Maker... Luffy's going to look ridiculous, isn't he?"
"[He is... MONKEY~ D.~ LUFFY~!]"
Luffy came bouncing out in his shorts, and had traded out his sandals for boots. He had boxing gloves, and had a giant flaming skull and crossbones tattoo on his torso.
But what was most ridiculous, was the giant circular two foot afro on his head.
"Who is that?" "Maker's breath. What kind of hairdo is that?" "LUFFY! YOU LOOK SO COOL!" "YEAH!"
"[Alright~! The fight is about to begin! Both combatants are in the battlefield!]" Luffy was practicing some punches while Foy cranked his neck.
"Who died and made Usopp the coach...?" Zoro was feeling the littlest bit of embarrassment watching his captain and crewmate. Usopp was wearing a jumpsuit with Luffy's straw hat, while also having his goggles on.
Chopper was looking at them both in wonder. And even Sanji was fascinated, "Hell yeah! I'm burning up, bro!"
"Can't he be more serious...!?" Nami moaned as she took a sip of her drink.
Robin hover just laughed, "Hehe. I think he looks fine."
Maxwell kept looking like he wanted to say something. But his mouth kept opening and closing. He wasn't sure if he wanted to support this or scold his captain's eccentricity. It did look so cool...
"[Alright! All seconds, out of the ring.]" Usopp like he wanted to protest, but Maxwell couldn't hear him over the roar of the crowd, "[I repeat. Seconds, get out!]"
"[I will now repeat the rules. The battlefield is our ship... That is, the entire main deck and every room underneath! All the action will take place there! The field also includes the terrain in the 50 meter radius of the ship's mast! Lastly, there is NO TIME LIMIT! One point wins the game!]"
"Woah! What the—!?" Maxwell grabbed onto his seat as he realized the stands were going up! They now had an overarching view of the entire ship.
"[Now, only the two contestants are on the field!]" "GO, BOSS!" "STRAW-HAT, NICE OUTFIT, BUT... YOU'RE STILL GOING DOWN!"
Nami wasn't cheering like the crowd, but she still wanted to support him, "LUFFY! WIN! YOU HAVE TO WIN! BE CAREFUL OF HIS BEAM ATTACK!"
"...Ah, what the hell. GET HIM LUFFY!" Maxwell cheered on his captain. Usopp, Chopper, and Sanji were standing right alongside him.
"[THE EXCITEMENT IS AT IT'S PEAK! WELL THEY LOSE OR ACQUIRE A NEW CREW MEMBER? THERE IS NO TURNING BACK NOW!]"
"[DAVY BACK FIGHT!
FINAL ROUND!
FOXY THE SILVER FOX!
VS.
STRAW-HAT LUFFY!]"
"[The clash between two captains! The fate of their crews is in their hands!
Let the match,
BEGIN!]"
*DING~!*
Luffy immediately goes or a Gomu-Gomu no Pistol to punch Foxy. But the enemy captain jumps out of the way and uses his Noro-Noro Beam on Luffy's glove.
"Oh no!" Maxwell hears Nami beside him. The glove had been slowed down and his arm was wiggling from the slack tension Luffy was providing. Luffy tried to pull back his punch, but it ended up just dragging him towards his floating fist.
With the effects worn off, Foxy goes to fire another beam, but it was a fake-out. Luffy jumps up from the floor to dodge and then Foxy does a real Noro-Noro Beam on Luffy. Their captain is now floating in the air.
"LUFFY!" "Dammit!" "I TOLD YOU TO WATCH OUT!" "MESS HIM UP BOSS!" "HAHAHA, THAT GUY IS WEAK!"
Foxy cackled as he watched Luffy try to flail in midair, "Even his falling speed decreased..." Then the captain jumped onto Luffy as his face was turned to the sky. He then punched Luffy with a flurry of punches, calling it the Nine-Tails Rush.
"...Huh?" Sanji leaned in to get a better look, "No effect from his punches!?"
"No. The beam probably also made it slower too..." Zoro corrected him.
"And all those impacts are going to hit him right at once...!" Maxwell's eyes widened as he saw his captain's face begin to twist. When the effects finally wore off, Luffy bounced from all the impacts and his return to gravity.
"He'll fall into the sea like that!" Luffy indeed had been knocked off the fox head. However, Luffy also reacted by stretching out his arm to grab one of the fox ears. The crowd seemed impressed by Luffy's Devil Fruit ability.
Luffy landed on his feet and wiped his cheek from that beating. He wasn't worried about it, but now Foxy had pissed him off. Luffy immediately runs onto the deck to find Foxy, as he had run off somewhere, "[Ooh! The final round has barely begun! Our's boss' flawless combo attack totally knocked Straw-Hat down! It's firing up!]"
Maxwell couldn't see Luffy past the figurehead, but he could see Foxy standing on some floating cannonballs. He watched as Luffy tried to do what Foxy was doing, but the cannonball went flying out from beneath his feet. Luffy stretched out to grab another ball but it's slow-mo effect had also worn off and pulled him into a hidden corner of the ship.
Foxy then pulled out some weird shaped should cannon and fired it's payload along with some of his NORO particles. Now it looked like a stream of faces, featuring Foxy's visage, moving towards where Luffy was. Foxy then disappeared into the line of faces.
"Damn it! I can't see anything!" "What's happening?" Some of the crowd called out.
"Luffy, punch him in the stomach!" "Oh? You can see them, Usopp?" "Well, no..." "What are you doing, Luffy!?"
*BOOM!*
"[Amazing~! All the bombs hit head on~! Foxy is winning big time~! Now we're talking! Wow, that was a big explosion!]" Itomimizu had to cough from all the smoke coming off the Sexy Foxy, "[In our ship, that just happens to be the battlefield... The Foxy Face Bombs that, conveniently enough were left there, were cleverly used by our boss for a mega attack!]"
Reactions from the crew were varied. Chopper was shocked, Ussop was worried, Sanji was passive, and Nami was nervous.
"Luffy...!" "LUFFY, HANG IN THERE!" "Calm down." "On that ship, he can pull all kinds of cheap tricks."
Only Zoro, Robin, and Maxwell hadn't spoken out about it yet. Robin was watching with a blank expression. Zoro had only let out a huff. Maxwell meanwhile, was holding his hands in a tent, folded against his face. "[Straw-Hat Luffy was probably blown to pieces. If that happens, he'll have lost the match once part of his body leaves the arena! Yet another devastating knockout by the bo... Eh...? WHHHHAAAAATTTTT!?]"
Luffy was crouching on the top of one the sail arms. He looked a little singed but not bad.
"[CAN IT REALLY BE!? STRAW-HAT LUFFY IS STILL ALIVE! HE MUST'VE DODGE THE EXPLOSION IN A SPLIT SECOND! AMAZING! THIS... THIS IS THE TRUE STRENGTH OF A MAN WORTH 100 MILLION BERI ON HIS HEAD!]"
The crowd was definitely excited. However, as most of the crowd were Foxy Pirates, they weren't sure whether Luffy's strength was a good thing or not.
"OH YEAH!" "TAKE HIM DOWN!" yelled Usopp and Sanji.
"Fuehehehehe..."
Luffy jumped down onto one of the higher decks, and started scanning the smoke. "[Straw-Hat may have avoided the previous attack, but our boss is poised to strike again! His confident laughter radiates from the veils of smoke! Our boss' laughter... takes away the enemy's chance to catch their breath! Where will he strike? How will Foxy the Silver Fox strike next?]"
Maxwell also kept his eyes on the smoke. Loath though he want to admit, Itomimizu did a good job at commentating the action. Not to mention, Foxy was actually a crafty bastard. He didn't fight straight, and that has always been on of Luffy's weak points.
"[Ah! A shadow!]"
Maxwell stood up to get a better look, but then he heard Luffy yell, "YOU'RE THE ONE WHO GOT HURT!"
The mage then immediately facepalmed. Apparently, idiocy was in spades on the Grand Line.
That said, Foxy, despite his fricasseed state, tried to catch Luffy in another Noro-Noro Beam. No bluff saved him this time. Luffy quickly got away and around the trickster and gave him a left hook in the kidneys.
Knowing he couldn't afford a direct confrontation, at the moment, Foxy dove back into the smoke. More shadows began to appear in the gray clouds. Luffy had tried to punch one, but it turned out to be a target board, in the likeness of Foxy. From in the veil, Foxy tried another beam, but Luffy dodged. Luffy was now looking at multiple silhouettes, and he wasn't sure which one to hit.
He got lucky though, as Foxy's self-esteem was used against him. Luffy had made an off hand comment about Foxy's hairdo and Foxy knelt on the ground because of it. By now the smoke had cleared, and it was obvious Foxy gotten a good licking on the cheek.
Any hope of an visible fight though was dashed as Foxy tricked Luffy to look up. Foxy then opened a trapdoor, dropping Luffy inside. The split-head then dashed inside as Luffy came out and off a conveyor belt from the side of the ship's haul.
"It's Luffy!" "What's he doing!? If he falls into the sea, he's done for!"
Thankfully, Luffy was able to recover.
"So close!" *Whi~stle! Gyahahaha!" "This fight goes on! This is exciting!" "Give it your best, Straw-Hat!"
"[Luffy, after escaping death, is falling for Boss' taunt... The interior of the ship is Boss' backyard! Will you accept the challenge, Straw-Hat Luffy?]"
"Luffy! No!" Nami tried to call out over the cheering of the crowd, "It's a trap! They must have even more traps inside!"
He went in anyway.
"[Straw-Hat Luffy charges in without a second thought! The fight has moved to inside the ship! Now not even I can see what's going on! This is the true duel! IT'S A ONE ON ONE FIGHT TO THE FINISH!]"
"STAND UP! STAND UP LUFFY!" Usopp cried tears of excitement, "THINK OF OUR TRAINING!"
Maxwell looked at him oddly... This was another local reference Maxwell didn't know about, wasn't it?
"Shut up and sit down. You're blocking my view!" Sanji slapped Usopp on the back of the head.
Maxwell kept an ear out for what was going inside. Some of it confused him... The cheering certainly didn't help... There was the sound of cannon fire... barking... mechanical churning... explosions... and even the shattering of a mirror. Even Max knew that was 7 years bad luck.
"[It's Round 3 of the Davy Back Fight! No one can see what is going on inside the ship. However~ we know for sure that it is a rigorous duel to the finish! Even though we cannot see, everyone is cheering for our great boss!]"
All the guys of the Straw-Hat crew were looking at the ship in anticipation.
"Don't lose...!" "Luffy won't lose!" "Yeah! His afro will prevail!" "Wait. That thing on his head was called an 'afro?'" "Foxy should be no match for Luffy..."
Nami was also looking Usopp oddly. He was the one to mention the hairdo, "Why would the afro increase his power anyways?"
Robin just seemed to be enjoying herself, "He sure 'looked' stronger."
Even the Foxy pirates were starting to get anxious.
"Isn't there a time limit?" "It's 'cuz of that rubber, man." "Rubber and that afro."
Nami and Maxwell both overheard this. "How does any of that have to do with anything?" "Okay, will someone fill me in on the thing about the afro?"
*BOOM!*
"[Something is happening!]" An explosion had opened up on deck. They must have come up! "[Who prevailed!? Has it been decided? ...There are two shadows!]"
The Foxy pirates went wild with jubilation. Maxwell however, immediately stood on his feet, "LUFFY!"
"[The boss is still standing! YEAH~! BOSS!]" Luffy was facedown on the deck. It was like a reversal of what happened earlier, only Foxy was showboating about it. "[On the other hand, Straw-Hat Luffy is badly burned... He likely suffered some sort of fierce punch!]"
"AAAAAH!" "LUFFY!" "No way!" "Why? Why would be be burned from mere punches!?"
Maxwell was taking in the scene in front of him. He knew Luffy was strong, but he never imagined Luffy would get hurt this badly! Luffy had faced plenty of strong opponents before. Buggy, Kreieg, Arlong... But then Maxwell realized, "How many of his fights had he actually seen...?"
Crocodile had the power to shrivel up a man into a mummy, Robin had said as much. Maxwell wasn't able to watch the fallout of that rematch... Luffy had used his blood during that fight, and was apparently out of it for three days...!
"...Look!" Robin had noticed something, snapping Maxwell out of his reminiscing.
Luffy was standing up.
"[WHAT!? STRAW-HAT LUFFY IS STANDING BACK UP! YOU STILL WANT MORE!?]"
Maxwell slapped the railing beneath his hands, "Come on, Luffy...!" The crowd was going wild behind him.
Foxy then drew a wooden dagger, and a strange beam of light whipped out at Luffy. When Foxy held it still, it was like Maxwell's Spirit Blade. Luffy was locked in place!
Usopp and Chopper joined Maxwell at the front, "LUFFY!" Foxy was performing another Nine-Tail Rush, but his gloves where spike like a sea urchin this time!
With the final punch, Luffy was flown into the mast, "[This time...! No... Not yet...! STRAW-HAT LUFFY STOOD BACK UP!]"
"How is he still standing after that?" "Is it because of the wig?" "That wild African hairdo!"
Foxy fired another beam and rushed Luffy again, "SCREW YOU! THAT BEAM THING IS WAY TOO CHEAP!" This time Luffy's momentum had broken a mast.
"Woah—Wait! Usopp!" Both Maxwell and Zoro had to hold Usopp back before he could try to jump onto the ship. If he entered the field, they are forfeit.
Usopp struggled in their grip, "That's just torture, not a fight!" Maxwell couldn't disagree with him, but this was Luffy's fight, alone.

...
"...He's standing up!?" one of the Foxy's said in awe. The crowd was silent as they watched the rubber-man rise.
"...To save... my nakama... I will fight... TO THE DEATH!"
"Luffy..."
"[STRAW-HAT IS STANDING BACK UP!]" Itomimizu's voice was starting to sound a bit wobbly, "[WHAT AMAZING STAMINA! STRAW-HAT STOOD BACK UP! STRAW-HAT LUFFY STOOD BACK UP! HE KEEPS STANDING BACK UP AGAIN AND AGAIN!]"
"LUFFY!" Now Nami decides to cheer...
"[His legs are shaking. He's out of breath, yet his eye is still so keen as he keeps standing up... FOR THE SAKE OF HIS NAKAMA! THAT IS THE TRUE SPIRIT OF DAVY BACK FIGHT! My tears... are pouring out... I can hardly see anything!]"
"LUFFY!" Usopp's fists clenched as he call out to their captain.
"[LUFFY!]"
"LUFFY~!"
Even the Foxy's were starting to support him...!
"LU—FFY! LU—FFY! LU—FFY! LU—FFY! LU—FFY—!" "[DEAFENING CHERE COMES NONSTOP FROM THE AUDIENCE! There has never been another man who could survive against our boss to this extent!]" "—WOOOOOOOOHHHHH!"
"IDIOTS! WHY THE HELL ARE YOU CHEERING FOR THE ENEMY!?" Foxy yelled back at his crew.

...
"BOSS! BOSS! BOSS! BOSS..."
Foxy then turns his attention back on Luffy. Even he was starting to get intimidated by Luffy's determination, "NORO-NORO BEAM SWORD!" Luffy tried to move, but he fell to the ground and got caught.
"Damn! He doesn't even have enough strength to run..." Usopp sobbed for his captain, "I can't beat to see Luffy like this!"
Foxy then pulled a lever, firing a cannon. "[Boss is on the offensive! First he slowed down the cannonball...]" Then he jumped on with a sort of carrefully crafted board, "[And there it is! It's Boss's ultimate cannon-ridding attack! Soon the Foxy Fighter will charge and obliterate the target!]"
"LUFFY! HE GOT YOU A MOMENT EARLIER THAN THE GLIDER! START RUNNING AS SOON AS YOU'RE FREE!" Sanji yelled from the stands.
Everyone watched in anticipation as they waited for the NORO photons to wear off...
Luffy dashes to the left, "[Straw-Hat got free from the effects of the beam first!]"
"It's useless!" Foxy's cannonball regains momentum, "You won't get away!" Foxy turns the gliders to pass at Luffy as the trickster punches him with his spiked glove. He then does a loop in the air and jumps off as the glider goes after Luffy.
"LUFFY!"
*BOOM!*
"[A perfect hit! There's no way he could've survived!]"
...
...
...
Luffy was still alive... And standing.
"Oh... Sweat Andraste...!" Maxwell clenched his chest as he panted out a sigh of relief. He had to sit back down, worried he might keel over from all the excitement.
"[H... He... HE STOOD BACK UP AGAIN!]" "IMPOSSIBLE!" "HE'S NOT HUMAN!"
Luffy looked down at something... He was breathing hard...
"...I'm... going to win!"
Foxy got incensed at this, "BULLSHIT! YOU CAN HARDLY STAND!" He put up his dukes, "If you want to die so badly... I'LL KEEP HITTING YOU UNTIL YOU DROP!"

Both Foxy and Luffy fired of their signature flurry of punches! Foxy didn't have the NORO lights going, but he didn't care! This impudent little brat needed to go down! Luffy absolutely refused to lose to this guy! He will not lose any of his friends!
"[AMAZING! This fight is so fierce even this late in the game! The fighters have entered a pummelling rage!]" "LUFFY! GO, LUFFY! SMASH HIM UP GOOD!" "SMASH!" "GET HIM, LUFFY!" "[NONSTOP! THEY DON'T SEEM TO BE STOPPING ANYTIME SOON!]"
Maxwell watched, subconsciously pumping his fists up and down. Neither captain was stopping... But he realized Foxy was beginning to get overwhelmed!
Foxy had enough.
"NORO-NORO BEE—eeee... ..."
...
"Huh?"
"What happened?" asked Usopp. Everyone was dead quiet.
"...They're not moving..."
Both Foxy and Luffy were stood still as their gloved fists were touching each other.
...Then Luffy fell to his knees, panting, and still touching Foxy's glove.
"[D... DOWN! STRAW-HAT IS DOWN... NO... WAIT! THAT'S NOT RIGHT! STRAW-HAT IS STILL MOVING! WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED!?]"
"...D-d-d-a-a-a-a-m-m-m-m-n-n-n-n~... y-y-y-o-o-o-o-u-u-u-u~...!" Foxy was completely stand still.
Something then fell out of Luffy's glove.
"[A MIRROR! STRAW-HAT HAD A PIECE OF MIRROR IN HIS HAND!]"
Luffy then began to stand up, "It got stuck on my afro... when... I was in your mirror room..."
"Sweat Andraste...!" Maxwell then got a shit-eating grin.
"...Y-y-y-o-o-o-o-u-u-u-u~... l-i-i-I-t-t-t-t-t-t-l-l-l-e~... s-s-s-h-h-h-i-i-i-t-t-t~..."
"Gomu-Gomu no..." Luffy held his bicep as he strarted to swing his rubber arm like a pinwheel. Foxy could only watch in still terror, "FLAIL!" as Luffy punched him right in the face.
It didn't appear to do anything. But Luffy turned around and started walking towards the top of the ship's figurehead.
...Then Maxwell noticed Foxy's face began to twist.
"...Eight more seconds." Zoro crossed his arms and closed his eyes.
"Huh...? Ah...?" Usopp looked at him strangely.
"[Is this the end...!?]"
"7..." counted Sanji. Then Nami looked at him strangely.
Robin smiled resting her chin in her hand, "6..."
Foxy's face began to twist even more.
"WAHAHAHA! FIVE~!" Usopp then turned to the crowd.
"WHAT ARE YOU STARING AT? COUNT WITH ME! FOUR!" And of course the crowd did start counting down with him.
"THREE!"
"TWO!"
"ONE!"
"ZERO!"
Foxy immediately went flying into the air from Luffy's punch.
"YEAH~!" And Luffy stood on the head of the Sexy Foxy, roaring in triumph. The crew cheered right alongside him.
They knew the outcome.
Luffy had just won.
