Xander grinned as he checked out his reflection in the mirror. They'd been a pain to put in, but the Madara mangekyou sharingan contact lenses were awesome. His plans of going as a soldier had gone out the window as soon as he found that 20 on his way to the costume shop. With a bit of bargaining, he'd gotten a few Naruto accessoires to create his own custom character. An AU, good Madara to be precise.
This Madara had Hashirama's heart implanted, at the insistence of the latter, when both had been mortally wounded. An obvious use of 'plot device no jutsu' by Xander to awaken the rinnegan and gain wood release, but it was Halloween, so who cared?
His Madara carried Izuna's mangekyou sharingan on a medical storage seal on his body, for when his eyes started losing their light. Hashirama's chakra, infused by his heart, had slowed the onset of blindness, but couldn't stop it. Xander only had those two pairs of lenses, so he had to adjust his character around it.
Once he would implant Izuna's eyes, he would awaken not only the eternal mangekyou sharingan, but also the rinnegan at the same time. Not his canon rinnegan, no that was too boring. Xander had liked Sasuke's rinnegan much better, though imagined them blue instead of the metallic purple, simply liking the idea better.
Madara grunted as he extracted his nearly-blind eyes, ignoring the panicky scream of the redheaded ghost nearby. By touch alone he took his brother's eyes from the medical container and implanted them into his eye sockets, healing the optic nerve and the muscles within.
As chakra once more began to flow through the eyes, Izuna's chakra, Hashirama's chakra and his own mixed together and became something greater than the individual parts.
For just a moment, Madara's eternal mangekyou emerged before it was almost immediately replaced by the even more powerful rinnegan, a deep blue with six tomoe divided over the two innermost rings of the eye. With the awakening of the rinnegan, his chakra fully evolved into Six Path chakra, completing his evolution into a Six Path Sage.
It was at that point that Janus' bust was destroyed and Xander returned to the driver's seat, so to speak, his body still that of a Six Path Sage.
Xander still didn't know whether to be horrified or elated at his evolution, confirmed as permanent, as he observed his reflection in the mirror while cycling through the various forms his eyes could now take on.
