Hey everybird! What's up!?

So before we begin… Yes I know… I have to finish My Dear Sapphire… I don't know why I keep putting it off, maybe it's the lack of ideas I have for a few chapters before I get to the ending chapters about the tragedy.

Speaking of stories… I have also been thinking of well reposting and doing my WWII story, that's based on the Band of Brothers miniseries, if you want to see that, than say so down below!

Chapter 3: A Different Approach

While Lisa was talking to her sister, Tiago was on his way to Roberto, looking for him throughout the Blue macaw tribe, it took awhile, but Tiago eventually found Roberto at the pit of doom, literally kicking his feelings by practicing some soccer. Tiago could tell the older male had a lot on his mind, judging by the look on his face, he looked sad, but the same time, felt he was right. Tiago, after staying hidden in the treeline for a couple of minutes, flew froward to the other bird.

Now Tiago knew Roberto just as well, since he came to the Amazon with his family, Tiago, with the exception of his mother, hit it off with Roberto immediately. The two created a lasting bond, which would lead to them dating Lisa and Liz, sisters to each other and becoming official brother in laws when they married the two females. Tiago knew, just as well as Roberto knew that if anyone could talk to Roberto, it was Tiago, he was the best choice to get though to him.

"Hey Uncle Beto." Tiago greeted, still calling Roberto by that name despite them being brothers now. "Practicing for the next game I see?"

"Why are you here T-Bird?" Roberto questioned. "If Liz sent you, I have no…" Roberto started, but was cut off by Tiago when the younger one raised his wing to stop Roberto from talking.

"Actually it was my idea and Lisa's talking to Liz." Tiago telling the truth as he lowered his wing and took a step closer. "What's wrong Uncle Beto? You two were doing so well and now this."

"You wouldn't understand T-Bird and besides… I don't want to talk about it…" Roberto feeling his heart ache a tiny bit and was about to go back to practicing, but Tiago thought of another idea that just came to him as he put his talon down on the Brazil nut, used as a ball, that Roberto was going to use.

"Tell you what…" Tiago started, making things interesting. "How about a quick game just between the two of us, if you win, you don't have to talk to me, but if I win, you do have to talk to me about your feelings, deal?" Tiago betted as Roberto thought about it, Tiago not letting the ball go and knew there was no way out when Tiago was like this.

"Deal…" Roberto replied, not that he had much choice. "But I'm sure I'll win, I do have more experience than you T-Bird." Roberto sure of himself.

"Don't be so cocky, I been practicing a lot and just as good as anyone else." Tiago said back as the two started their little game, first to three goals wins.

Now Roberto's advantage of course was that he was older and has been at this for longer than Tiago was even alive, however Tiago's advantage was that Roberto was in an emotional state. Plus Tiago knew most of Roberto's tricks, he did watch all of the matches between the Blues and whoever the visiting tribe may be, Roberto adapting to the strengths and weaknesses of the various tribes, so Tiago knew he could do the same to Roberto.

"Ready Uncle Beto?" Tiago asked as a singular Brazil nut stood on top of the rock pillar marking the center of the "field", while Roberto and Tiago stood in front of the others' goals.

"I'm ready." Roberto answered and at the count of three, the two opposing players rushed for the ball and the little game started.

Now at first Roberto seemed like he would win, getting the ball first and easily managing to dodge Tiago's blocks, Tiago putting up a defense, but not too much as Roberto, after some effort, got his first goal. However that was the point… Tiago wanted to wear Roberto down a little, save his own strength to make a comeback and easily score goals towards the end while Roberto was tired out.

Soon enough the score was two to one in favor of Roberto, only needing one more, having Roberto put most of his energy into those two goals and he was visibly panting while Tiago, just a little tired, knew it was time to make a comeback. With the ball once more in the center, Tiago got to it first and with his great agility, he sped past Roberto, who was lagging behind as Tiago kicked the nut into his goal, the score tied now, with only one more for either of them. It all came down to this…

"You're looking a little tired Uncle Beto, give up?" Tiago asked.

"Not by a long shot." Roberto answered in his most clear voice, but it was clearly hoarse by now as the ball was put in the center as just one more goal decided the little game…

And again on the count of three, the two went for the ball as Tiago slowed down on purpose for Roberto to get the ball, giving him a false sense of security. Roberto's focus was only on the goal in front of him, flying as fast as possible and only looking side to side for Tiago, only Roberto should have been looking up and down… For as Roberto was just about to kick the ball into the goal, Tiago came suddenly from below and caught the ball just as it left Roberto's talons.

Roberto was left in absolute surprise for a few seconds and that precious little time cost him as he swung his head back with Tiago racing for the goal. Roberto tried to catch up, but it was far too late as the speedy, younger bird got close enough to the goal that Roberto couldn't stop no matter what. Tiago kicked the nut hard and it sailed clear into the goal, making the score three to two with a victory for Tiago. As the ball got in, Tiago looked back to see Roberto with a defeated look on his face, very disappointed at being outplayed like this.

"Can we make it to five goals?" Roberto chuckled nervously to get out of the incoming conversation.

"No Uncle Beto, a deal's a deal." Tiago putting his talon down. "But we can do a rematch later if you would like, now lets talk, come on, tell me how you're feeling."

"Alright…" Roberto sighed as he made a promise, the two settling down on the seating area of the pit of doom to talk, Roberto taking a few seconds as Tiago waited. "I just feel like Liz doesn't really appreciate the concern I have for the safety of our family, I go out on patrols almost every night to make sure there are no dangers outside."

"And I'm sure you do a good job Uncle Beto." Tiago comforted Roberto. "But I learned myself that you have to make more time for your own family, make sure they're completely safe by being with them and family time matters. I learned that with my parents and sisters and then with Lisa and my boys, I'm lucky to have a mate and boys who love me and understand me just as much as I do to them."

"So what you're saying is that I have to look at things from Liz and Rosy's point of view?" Roberto clearing things up.

"Exactly." Tiago nodded his head. "And it may take some time for it to work and patch things up, but you'll get there." Tiago smiled as Roberto, having said his daughter's nickname thought about how his daughter viewed the fight he had with Liz…

"Tiago tell me… How's my little Rosy?" Roberto asked in a very soft voice that was almost a whisper.

"She's shaken up, but she's a strong girl like her parents are, she'll get through this like Liz and you." Tiago sure of it as he put a wing on Roberto's shoulder.

"Thanks T-Bird, I really needed to hear this." Roberto finally smiled. "And I didn't forget about our rematch." Roberto reminded Tiago as the younger male chuckled.

"Well better bring my game on next time than." Tiago replied as the two brother in laws then shared a hug for a minute before Tiago said his goodbyes to Roberto before flying to the clay banks where Lisa would most likely beheading too, if she wasn't there already that is.

And to Tiago's surprise, Lisa was there, patiently waiting for her mate to come as Tiago didn't keep her waiting and flew towards Lisa, slowing down and landing before her as Lisa crossed her wings in a playful manner of course.

"And where were you?" Lisa asked with a playful raised eye. "I thought you would get here first, slow poke."

"Well lets just say my approach took some more time, but I'm here now." Tiago informed his mate as he gave her an apologetic kiss on her cheek for making her wait for him. "Now what did Liz tell you?" Tiago started as the two began their plan to get Roberto and Liz to come together and see each other in order to talk things out between just the two of them…
