Hey everybird! What's up!?
Hope you haven't been waiting long! Would have had this earlier, but been a little busy!
However, good news, I watched both Star Wars Visions and the new MLP movie and both were great! Especially the new MLP movie, I have been rewatching it a lot, more than is probably considered healthy! LOL!
Anyway, here's the last chapter to this quick short story and hopefully next time will be the next chapter to MY Dear Sapphire!
Chapter 4: Problem Solved
With the day almost ending, Lisa and Tiago thought of a plan and set it into motion as Lisa once more went back to Liz while Tiago went back to Roberto, both of them going to tell Roberto and Liz that they needed the two for something important. Lisa felt a little bad for lying for it just wasn't in her heart to lie to anyone, but Tiago reassured his mate it was for a good cause as Lisa returned to the Scarlet tribe, to find Liz finishing up for the day.
"Hey sis, I see you're just about done." Lisa noted as she came landing down to where her older sister was, finishing giving out the assignments for the night patrollers.
"Well, despite your interruption, yes." Liz replied. "What is it now sis? More lecturing?"
"No actually, Tiago just told me that his dad wants to see you, something about the joint patrols between the two tribes." Lisa informed her sister, of course it was a lie as Liz was a little confused.
"At this hour?" Liz raising an eye.
"Well, he said the sooner the better." Lisa keeping up the ruse.
"Fine, better get this over with…" Liz sighed.
"Great, he said to meet him at the waterfall." Lisa told her sister as Liz flew off, headed for the Blue macaw tribe.
Meanwhile Tiago went to see Roberto, who was with some of his old friends, the group chatting away as Tiago came into view. Roberto of course, like Liz, was suspicious of what Tiago wanted now as Tiago landed down.
"Hey Tiago, been awhile." One of Roberto's friends noted about the grownup macaw.
"Yeah it has, I guess having a family passes the time." Tiago replied and turned his attention to Roberto. "Anyway, I'm here to get Roberto, my dad wants him to discuss something important."
"And this can't wait until the morning why?" Roberto spoke up.
"Dad wants to talk about it now while he's not that busy." Tiago answered quickly. "Says he won't have time for tomorrow." Tiago lied, not having any hesitation like Lisa did.
"Alright, but next time tell your dad he has to come to me." Roberto asked Tiago.
"Will do, you'll find him by the waterfall." Tiago smiled as Roberto took off, Tiago still smiling as the next step was to meet Lisa back at their own hollow to get one last bird as both Roberto and Liz were heading in each other's direction.
Being a shorter distance to fly, Roberto got to the waterfall first, but didn't see Blu, Tiago's dad, at all, wondering why Tiago told him that Blu was here… He was still thinking about it until he heard a familiar and well… upset voice speak to him from above.
"What are you doing here!?" Liz's voice cutting deep into Roberto as he swung his face towards his mate.
"Me? What about you?" Roberto whipped back. "I was told by Tiago that Blu wanted to see me, not you."
"Funny, because my sister told me the same thing…" Liz snapped back as with that, the two began to realize something. "Oh you got to be kidding me…"
"Those two…" Roberto said under his breath as now an awkward silence formed.
The two could have just as easily flown away from each other and that would be the end of it… But they didn't… They just stood there on the jungle ground by the water. Both of them didn't want to speak first, but well eventually someone had to say or do something…
And it was Roberto who spoke first…
"Liz look…" Roberto started out slow. "I'm really sorry I yelled at you like that… I was really tired and out of my mind that day from having been awake all night, I know that's not a good excuse, but you should know… I thought I was doing something good and my heart was in the right place, but I began to realize that maybe you and Rosy do feel safer if I'm around more."
Roberto paused to let his words sink in as Liz's back was currently turned to him.
"That's all I want to say… I guess I'll go now…" Roberto said, but before he could fly off, Liz started speaking, softly at first, her back still turned to Roberto, but her head was slightly turned back as she was speaking…
"Wait Roberto…" Liz called out as Roberto stopped, stuck in his about to fly off position as Liz continued speaking. "I'm sorry too, I guess I was just very frustrated and I let my anger get the best of me, it's just… I wish you would worry about us just as much as you do for the Blue macaws."
"Well, we both have regrets." Roberto added. "I guess we just needed a private space and some time to cool down for us to talk."
"Yeah…" Liz agreed. "So… Are you still angry at me?"
"Does this answer your question?" Roberto asked as with his wing, he splashed some water on Liz playfully, Liz not having enough time to block the cool liquid as she let out a laughing yell as she returned the flavor, splashing Roberto back as the two had a little water fight before. "So that's how it's going to be?" Roberto chuckled as he gave Liz a surprise by tackling her down to the ground, the two rolling about, getting dirt in their feathers, but they didn't mind at the moment.
Soon enough, they grew a little tired and well at the end, Roberto ended up still being on top of Liz as the two stared into each other's eyes, panting a little from their activity. It was like the two completely forgot about being angry at each other only an hour ago as they couldn't believe what happened.
"Liz…" Roberto started.
"Yeah?" Liz asked softly, letting cool air enter her lungs.
"I'm sorry again, but also, I do love you." Roberto smiled as before Liz could answer he came down, pressing his beak against Liz's as the two melted into their passionate moment, Roberto letting their beaks go after a couple of minutes.
"And I love you too, I really do." Liz smiled as after that, the two heard a bird clear his throat. Roberto and Liz looking with their heads to see Lisa and Tiago standing right there, catching the two in their moment as the older pair both blushed at the embarrassment, however Lisa and Tiago heard all they needed to hear to tell that their job was complete.
"Well, seems you two are happy with each other again." Tiago spoke up as both Roberto got off Liz as the two stood back up to face the younger pair.
"Sorry to trick you two, but we, or should I say Tiago, couldn't think of a better way for you two to come back together." Lisa answering Roberto and Liz's silent question.
"And it worked, so you're welcome." Tiago added as Lisa playfully winged him in the belly lightly. "But there is one more thing you two need to do…" Tiago told the two as he and Lisa stepped aside to reveal little Rosy.
"Sweetie…" Roberto started, all that fatherly love making him start to water in his eyes.
"We're sorry you had to see your father and I fight, we were both wrong and we want you to know that it's not your fault." Liz speaking up as Roberto got to his senses.
"That's right sweetie, your mother and I still love you the most above everyone else and we promise to not let something like this ever happen again." Roberto smiled as little Rosy stepped forth and to Roberto and Liz's surprise, she hugged both her parents without a word, holding it there for a minute before letting go.
"It's okay mom, dad, I'm just happy you two are getting along." Rosalia.
"Us too sweetie." Liz replied as she bent down and wrapped a wing over Rosalia while Roberto put a wing onto Liz's shoulder.
"Well, seems like our work is done so we'll leave you three to it." Tiago excusing him and Lisa as the younger couple flew off while the family of three focused on them.
"How about we go back home, spend some time, just the three of us." Roberto suggested.
"That sounds like a great idea daddy." Rosalia smiled.
"Couldn't agree anymore." Liz added as the family then took off for the sky, going back home together while one a nearby branch, Lisa and Tiago didn't quite leave them fully, wanting to see them really go back home.
"We're the best marriage counselors honey." Tiago joked as he had a wing around Lisa.
"You could say that again Tiago." Lisa chuckled as she snuggled up against Tiago's warm and soft feathers. "And you did a good job, this is why I fell in love with you."
"Thanks, but you did it too, we're a team after all." Tiago smiled as he kissed the top of his mate's head. "Speaking of which, we better get back home ourselves before the boys do something crazy to their uncle."
"If anyone can rein our boys, it's my brother, but you're right, we better go before something happens." Lisa agreed as the two took off themselves next, happy as can be for bringing back a family together.
Well that's the end of this quick short story!
Hope you enjoyed and I think that's it, so…
