"... Sorry, but Naruto is busy... I can give him a message for you?" Ivy spoke with a strained voice.

The girl reached into her bag and pulled out a pebble.

"I just wanted to give him this, as thanks. Naruto saved my village a couple of days ago, there was a sea monster eating all of the fish, and he killed it for us. He saved us a ton of money, since we didn't have to send out a quest... can you make sure that he gets this? It's all I can offer right now." The bird girl spoke as she passed the stone to Ivy.

Ivy was a lot less cold.

"I'll make sure that he gets it, oh, and you wrote him a letter."

"Yes, I wanted to tell him how grateful I am. I don't live in the village anymore, I live in the city, but I've been really worried about my parents and siblings. Well, thank you for passing my message to him." The girl bowed gratefully to Ivy, before she turned around and started to leave the store.

Naruto jumped off of the second floor and landed next to Ivy several minutes later.

"You look... the same as usual." Ivy looked at Naruto wearing clean clothes, and he had showered, but that was about it. Naruto wore the same type of outfit, unlike other adventurers who dressed with armor, or in clothing they could easily move in, Naruto just wore casual clothes. A white shirt, orange hoodie, and grey sweatpants. "... I mean, isn't..." Ivy stopped herself.

This was fine too, she liked it when Naruto was casual anyway, so this would work just fine for her.

"Yo man, I just heard you saved a penguin girl village from a sea monster... and you didn't do it for a quest... wasted money potential." Stunk called out to Naruto with a grin.

Naruto shrugged.

"I was in the area, and saw they were in trouble. It just felt right to help them, quests are quests, but helping is just the right thing to do." Naruto didn't make it a habit of turning his back on those in need, even if they couldn't pay him for it. He took money from quests that weren't super urgent, because those people had already submitted a quest. If he saw a person getting attacked, he would help them without needing a reward.

Ivy passed Naruto the pebble and the letter.

"A girl gave me this to give to you, as a show of thanks." Ivy didn't give Naruto a chance to open the letter as she grabbed his arm and pulled it into her chest.

A chest that she didn't have much of.

With that, they left the pub.

"... 1000 G that Piltia wins in the end, by some miracle." Stunk stated as he put money on the table.

"Suckers bet, Naruto is super strong, so Death Abyss is the right choice. I'm betting on her." Zel stated as he added money to the pile. Meidri flipped over the menu board and showed a board filled with girl's names on it.

"Stunk is changing his bet from Death Abyss to Piltia, and Zel is adding more money to his bet on Death Abyss. I'm going to bet on Ivy, her odds are good since she sees Naruto nearly everyday and has more chances than most girls." Meidri stated as she added some of her own money to the pot. More customers in the bar were adding names and bets to the pool.

Every week the pot just got bigger, and everyone was increasing the amount that they were betting by small amounts.

"I'm keeping MY bet on Meidri, I think she's got a good chance." Brooz looked at Meidri, who smiled and nodded.

"Thank you, I appreciate the gesture, but I'm not as interested. Naruto's GREAT husband material for sure, and I'll date him if I get the chance, but I'm happy being friends with him for now." Meidri smiled at the gesture of placing bets on her.

By the way, ALL of the succubus girls were betting on Naruto ending up with ALL of the succubus at the pub. They were betting on themselves as a group.

Betting continued for several hours as more and more customers came and left the pub.

As it stood, nearly everyone who visited the pub, and ALL of the adventurers in the city were aware of the Dating Pool that was growing larger every week. Eventually, somebody would win the pool.

What started as a joke between Zel and Stunk, turned into something serious that everyone was hoping to win to get some serious money.
