Closed for Expansions

"Well... damn... what do I do with my free time today?" Meidri asked as she looked at the front door for the pub. It was an Inn AND a Pub, but the Pub portion of Ale and Eats was closed so that they could expand the kitchen. She didn't know what to do with her free time, since she was the poster girl and the maid for the store.

She saw Naruto leave the building with a quest in hand.

Adventurers could still enter and exit in order to get their quests for the day, and today was one of the days that Naruto spent most of his day jumping between quests.

"Hello-"

"No use, this is his third quest today, he's in work mode." Stunk stopped her from greeting Naruto. He was just smoking with Zel nearby him, since they were going to wait for Naruto to come back from his 4th or 5th quest for the day before they bugged him about visiting a store. "Crim already tried to get his attention, and The Tiny Devil-"

"My name is Tanya, and please smoke more than 30 feet away from the store."

"Tiny Devil, couldn't get Naruto to back away from any quests. Naruto's been taking the quests that nobody wants to do because they are dangerous or just stuff that we aren't suited for." Stunk gave a glare towards Tanya.

"He helped Subaru finish a quest with Kazuma earlier, and he helped Ainz in finding some rare flowers." Tanya stated with a maid uniform on, arms crossed. She worked as a server for the pub to pay for her room, and she was loving how easy her life was. Once she got more training in the field of cooking from Ivy, and got her official papers stating that she had studied the different species and their food inabilities, she would move up even higher and make more money.

Owner/Chef: Ivy - Makes the Most Money
Poster Girl/Maid: Meidri - Earns the Highest Among Workers
Servers: Crim and Tanya - Earns Smallest Wages

Since being a Multi-Species chef was a specialized field of work, the money earned was much greater and the potential for raises was equal to the experience gained. Ivy gained the store from her parents, but her parents were given the store after years of working for the previous owners as chefs. One day, she hoped that Ivy would give her a manager position in the store after she worked for a couple of years as a chef, and she could get an easy paperwork job.

"Yeah, Naruto has been helping the Otherworlders out... by taking more quests than normal? I kind of want to go see what he does for a quest." Meidri had always wondered what Naruto going on a quest looked like.

"Ask Crim, he's gone with Naruto before." Zel gestured to the floating angel.

"Well?"

"... Intense... if something can go wrong, it seems to manage to go even worse than that. Anyway, Naruto just went on a quest to catch some big fish that is ruining the ecosystem of that penguin village... seems the big monster he beat up was replaced by a different monster... why not-"

-Later-

"-this was not my idea." Crim muttered as they hid as a group to avoid being seen by Naruto as he approached the ocean. They hired soem centaurs to take them to the penguin village, where the fish was located that Naruto needed to catch.

"I've always been curious, I've never actually watched Naruto do one of these super serious quests before... actually, I've never done anything that was ranked S before." Stunk lit up his last cigarette as he watched Naruto jump into the ocean.

...

That was anticlimatic.

"So... quests-" Meidri was stopped when a tidal wave gushed forth from the ocean, and a super massive sea creature was tossed from the ocean and onto the beach. It had a large gash going across it's throat, and it was quickly bleeding out.

Jaws dropped when Naruto came out of the ocean after the creature.

The sea monster was literally the size of a mountain, and Naruto just put his hands on it, before he tossed the damn thing up into the air. He caught it above his head and started to walk towards the penguin village to show give them the creature that he had captured and killed.

"... Okay... I knew he was strong... but damn..." Stunk's cigarette fell out of his mouth when he watched his friend literally lift a mountain sized creature and carry it above his head. A creature that he jumped into the ocean, it's home turf, and killed in a matter of moments. "No wonder he makes so much money, he does this super difficult quests all the time." Stunk had always wondered why the quests that Naruto took paid so much more than the quests that he took. He rarely took anything ranked higher than B, and even he considered A ranked quests to be something he didn't want to deal with if he could help it.

Zel was just nodding his head slowly, understanding why Naruto never invited any of them to help with these solo quests.

"These are Demon King and Hero level quests... That is a Leviathan-class Sea Beast."

"Naruto does these quests, and doesn't use his full power so that he can stay sharp and train. He won't use anything higher than that Sage Mode thing he can do. That is the highest transformation he allows himself to use for a quest." Crim stated from experience. Naruto would use Sage Mode for quests, but ONLY to avoid causing damage to everything with his big techniques or he needed the massive boost to physical strength and durability.

-Much Later-

They followed Naruto on 2 more quests.

Naruto saved a village close by from an onslaught of wicked Dark Monsters that had been multiplying, facing down a literal army of them before they could attack a small village. He slaughtered the evil army in seconds, before he went back to the pub and accepted yet another quest.

He captured a group of Mountain Trolls that were causing trouble with locals in their own town, near the edge, by beating the crap out of them.

"Sup guys." Naruto stated to them as he passed them by, and they saw that he had another quest in his hands. "See you later, this quest is going to take about a day... I hate these quests." Naruto complained. "... I wish these married couples would solve their own shit, playing marraige doctor isn't something I'm suited for, but the money... the money." Naruto complained with a grin on his face.

"See you tomorrow."

"... Oh wait, maybe not tomorrow... I promised to put the finishing touches on the kitchen with Ivy tomorrow. She's fine with my clones doing the building, but she wants to paint it with the real me. That will take all day." Naruto stated.

Everyone instantly rushed into the pub, and they saw a horde of Naruto clones were working together to tear down and rebuilt the inside of the pub in order to expand the kitchen and update the look of the main pub room.

"98, 99, 100... Naruto has some these super difficult quests... with only a fraction of his max power available to him." Zel realized with some awe that Naruto had been dividing his attention between his quests and keeping his clones focused on rebuilding the inside of the pub. "Well damn, that's pretty neat. Lets go Stunk, the ladies are calling us."

Zel and Stunk were done following Naruto, meaning it was time to go get laid.

"He still manages to try and help me fix my halo too." Crim yawned.

It was about time to go to bed for him.

"I knew he was a hard worker, but he might be working himself way too hard... he really does deserve those trips to the succu girls." Meidri had looked passed the times Naruto visited those places since he was never that perverted about the visit itself like others. But she was now seeing just how much work Naruto did in one day, and was truly feeling the impact of what a day in his life was like.

Wherever Naruto went, people seemed to depend on him for help, and like a storm, once he passed through your life could be changed. He was a storm that ended the suffering of others and left behind peace where he went. He genuinely did more in one day than many heroes would do in an entire life of training and work.

"He really does, it's why he attracts others to him so easily... Naruto is extremely connected to nature, but-"

"HOLY CRAP!?" Meidri jumped when Ivy spoke up.

"... I've been with you guys the entire time." Ivy stated as she deadpanned at Meidri. She hadn't said anything because she never had anything she wanted to say, but she had been in the background listening to all of them talking.

Did they really not even notice she was there?

Meidri coughed awkwardly.

"Naruto's heart is infinite, and his kindness and forgiveness is just as large. Those who can feel him, really feel what is inside of him, can only be awed by the beauty of his soul. His purity, love, and his enduring heart make the sun seem black in comparison... Naruto is the sun, and we plant girls bask in his radiance. The life energy he gives off, the power of his heart..." Ivy didn't go on any further as she continued what Meidri had stopped her from saying.

When she had shared Naruto's body, his energy, she had felt a bliss that she couldn't begin to describe. When she first met Naruto, and she first felt him with her soul, she knew that he was the one for her.

"Really?" Meidri didn't doubt her honestly, but she didn't understand either.

"Just take a deep look into his eyes, a really deep look and you might see some of what I'm talking about. I've felt the inside of his soul, and it's like floating in infinite space, a beautiful experience. I want him to be happy with his life in our world. He deserves to be happy after all his suffering." Ivy pat Meidri on the head a few times. "After all, he brings happiness to everyone around him, even if he is suffering on the inside." Ivy spoke knowingly.

"He's suffering?"

"I don't know, but I feel he feels guilty... or maybe he doesn't? He's just as confusing to understand as he is easy to understand."

"What does that mean?"

"... I don't know myself exactly."

"Either way, despite all of that, I personally feel quite close to him. Which is odd, I don't often get along well with his type of person, the happy cheerful type, but Naruto just has an aura that makes you believe in him and want to be his friend."

Ivy and Meidri had mini heart attacks when Tanya spoke up.

They forgot that she was there with them because of how tiny she was.

Naruto walked by.

"The husband and wife settled with each other before I got to the quest, which sucks, but good for them." Naruto greeted them as he walked by. "I'm going to visit Piltia... but maybe I should take a shower first... I smell like the ocean." Naruto complained a little. "She always complains about salty tastes... I don't get it, salty flavors are great." Naruto spoke as a ramen lover.

Ivy and Meidri looked at each other.

They burst out laughing.
