Post Mission Debriefing
Time: 07:54 hours
Date: [REDACTED]
Location: [REDACTED]
Mission status: Failure
The following interview took place between Dr. Irwin and Captain Kinzie of the Mobile Task Force Gamma-6 AKA The Bottom Feeders. Captain Kinzie and her team was tasked with luring out SCP-6012 "Riptide", a humanoid anomaly who can survive the water pressure at the sea floor, has superhuman strength and can even communicate with SCP-3000. The mission however was a failure. The entire team with exception of Captain Kinzie suffered severe albeit non lethal injuries.
Interview log:
[Dr. Irwin enters the interrogation room, Captain Kinzie is unable to stand but salutes smartly]
Dr. Irwin: Good morning officer, how's the leg?
Captain Kinzie: Hurts like a bitch, but I'll live with it. The guy went easy on me.
Dr. Irvin: Tell me more.
Captain Kinzie: Last time he had saved some SCP personnel from SCP-3000 right? So we tried sending more missions down there to lure him out but they failed. One came back without any results and the rest were never found. So we tried something different this time. We sent a mission to [REDACTED], to SCP-169.
Dr. Irvin: [Visibly shocked] You tried to disturb an eight thousand kilometer long monster to get this new SCP?
Captain Kinzie: Well not disturb the Leviathan obviously, we are not stupid. We were just hoping that going near it would draw Riptide out. And it worked.
Dr. Irvin: [Chuckles] That's evident.
Captain Kinzie: [laughs] He found us. We were around 500 meters from SCP-169's head when we felt something slam into our vessel. We tried to change directions but Riptide overcame our thrusters. Five minutes later we broke through the surface and then we stopped.
Dr. Irvin: And then...?
Captain Kinzie: We stopped and then heard a thud on the roof of the sub. Then Riptide punched the sub door off its hinges and jumped into the sub.
Dr. Irvin: What did he look like? Did he have webbed hands? Scales?
Captain Kinzie: No! No, he looked completely human. Around 185 centimeters, extremely ripped, black hair and green eyes. [Blushes]He is quite hot you know. He looks like a swimsuit model. He had a weapon with him, a bronze trident.
Dr. Irvin: [Frowns and takes notes] Hmm, go on.
Captain Kinzie: Then he talked to us.
Dr. Irvin: OK...
Captain Kinzie: In a New York accent.
Dr. Irvin: That's quite interesting. [Writes notes] What did he say?
Captain Kinzie: He was pissed off. Like super pissed off. He said at us, "Stay the fuck away from me and let me do my job." We asked him what his job was and he said that it wasn't any of our business. Bobofit told him to get his ass out of his head and then it all went to hell.
Dr. Irvin: Is that when things out violent?
Captain Kinzie: Exactly. Riptide turned towards her and she shot him in the neck which did nothing but piss him off. In response he swung his trident into Bobofit's head and she fainted.
Dr. Irvin: What did Bobofit shoot him with?
Captain Kinzie: Standard 5.56 rounds. It didn't even faze him. After he knocked Bobofit out we tried to open fire at him but he simply tore through us like it was nothing.
Dr. Irvin: What was the fight between your team and Riptide like?
Captain Kinzie: Well it was barely a fight. I told ya, he simply tore through us. He was upon me before I could even fire two rounds and smacked his trident into my leg. Then he took my rifle and broke it across his knee.
Dr. Irwin: Then he went away?
Captain Kinzie: No he talked to me. Told me to stop bothering him. I'm paraphrasing of course, I was in way too much pain to think coherently. Then he climbed off the sub. A few seconds later the sub started moving and few washed up near another Foundation vessel.
Dr. Irvin: [takes notes] So if you were to summarize Riptide's anomalous properties, what would you say?
Captain Kinzie: Superhuman strength for sure. Speed, durability, probably can talk to water animals. Also very, very, very hot [giggles].
Dr. Irvin: I think we're done here. Corporal Phoebe, please take Captain Kinzie to the infirmary
OK that concludes chapter 2 as well! Please be supportive, review and share this. I am sorry for taking to long to update.
