Date & Time: Thursday, August 14th, 1975, 3:00 P.M.

*Station 59 was quiet. Bart and Bryon were sitting in the kitchen at the table getting ready to eat lunch.
Bart: Thank God.
*He was about to take a bite of his ham and cheese sandwich when the tones went off.
Bart: Damn-it-all!
*The dispatcher spoke clearly through the speaker.
Fire Dispatcher: Squad 59, Heart attack, 2650 Heartland Boulevard Room 511, 2-6-5-0 Heartland Boulevard Room 511. Time out 15:00
*The Squad left the station, turning left and accelerating towards their call's destination. They pulled into the parking lot and drove right up to the door. They grabbed their gear and made their way upstairs.
Bryon: 511. 511.
*They approached the door of Room 511 and knocked on the door. A younger girl, in her mid-teens, opened the door.
Teenage Girl: Please He's in here.
*They walked into the living room of the condominium apartment where a older man was sitting on the rocking chair. He appeared to be in his mid-60s, he was short of breath and weak.
Man: Please, I.. need help.
*While Bryon looked him over thoroughly, Bryon connected with Dr. Lee at Consular General.
Bryon: Consular this is Squad 59.
Dr. Lee: Go ahead, 59
Bryon: Our patient is in his mid-60s, upon inspection, he is short of breath, and very weak. Eyes are equal and reactive, His temperature is normal, but his skin to the touch is cool, clammy and pale. His neural responses are normal, stand by for vitals.
Dr. Lee: Standing by.
*Bryon handed him a small slip of paper with the vitals written down.
Bryon: Vitals are as follows. BP:220/110, Pulse: 100, Respiration: 20, Glucose: 108.
Dr. Lee: Is he on any medication?
*Bryon turned to the teenage girl.
Bryon: What medication is he on?
Teen girl: He's on Insulin, he's type 1 diabetic.
Bryon: Doc, he's on Insulin, he's Type 1 Diabetic.
Dr. Lee: Send an EKG Strip through.
*Bart had already put the patches on his chest.
Bart: Ready to go.
Bryon: Sending through on lead 2.
Dr. Lee: Put him on O2 High flow, give him 324mg of baby Aspirin, nitro tablet under the tongue, set up an IV Lactated ringers, administer 5mg MS, and 1mg/kg Phenagran. If he throws PVCs during transport, start a Lidocaine drip.
Bryon: 10-4
*The ambulance workers brought up the stretcher.
NB: One hour later at the Consular General Emergency Base Station.
Jackie: Well, you guys are always amazing me.
Bryon: We always strive to impress Jackie.
Dr. Lee: He got here just in time too. Any more time without you guys, he would have gone full arrest.
Bart: Well, we better get back to the station, Cap's making dinner tonight.
Jackie: Oh boy, what's on the fire today?
Bryon: He's making Brisket, Cajun Sweet potato fries, and his famous Baked Beans.
Jackie: Eat Hearty.
Bryon: Will do. See ya.
*They walked out to the squad.
Bryon: I doubt you'll eat a whole lot at dinner.
Bart: What makes you say that?
Bryon: Well, didn't you make a sandwich before our call.
*Bryon got in the driver seat of the squad
Bart: Damn-it-all.
*He got in the truck, and they pulled out of Consular General headed back towards Station 59.
