Greetings from SeekerMeeker.

Hello, to everyone who knows, I am back.

This time, after about a month of planning, I have finally started a brand-new story.

Enjoy, and may God bless you all during these crazy times.

Note: this story is different from the "Reptilia" that is on the Amphibia fanfic side. My apology for the confusion. However, I have ideas, so feel free to message me if you have ideas to help me.

Chapter 1: Single Collision

"Two things we love: power and food."

"Ooh, power! As in superheroes, or anime heroes with a big appetite?"

"No, I mean pol-"

"No-no, not that thing again."

"Politics."

"Augh! At least talk about something positive for once!"

"Says the girl who is in college."

"Haha, very funny."

"It's not."

"Hehe, you actually smiled!"

"Am not."

"Am too."

"Boy, we have not changed much."

"More like improved, bro."

April 1, 202X

Megaville University, Megaville, California

Two college students talked and sat on a bench, watching the trees swaying in the winds. The two looked quite similar to each other, from brownish eyes to bright brown hair. However, they were eating completely different items. While the male was opening a packet that held a cheeseburger, the female was relishing a caramel apple on a stick...a little too much.

"True," the college boy admitted. "But we're adults, not little kids! Although I admit...it's good to be a kid sometimes."

"Hehe," she grinned in response, as she rocketed a little on the bench, licking her own lips. The girl was quite vivacious, and she gazed at the many trees, shrubs, and vegetation all around them. It was a pleasant day, as a clock tower in the distance struck 1:00 PM. Birds chirped and flew in the air, while various students walked about. Some biked, while others rode on skateboards. One was even testing out a flying drone.

Suddenly, she gasped.

"Look at those flowers!" she cried, pointing at a particular tree in front of them.

The boy looked. It had a colossal number of flower buds, some of which already opened up.

"Please watch your mouth," the boy groaned in exasperation, as he opened up his burger, his eyes focused on the tree. "And don't eat and talk at the same time; you're making a mess! Boy, you haven't changed."

"Neither did you," the girl retorted, yet smiled. "But aren't they beautiful? Those cherry blossoms look great!"

She said that after swallowing her own morsel of caramel apple. The boy squinted his eyes at the tree, and got up to take a closer look.

"Huh," he noted. "It's an almond blossom tree."

"Almond?" the college girl asked, as she got up to stare at the tree. "Are you joking?"

"No-no," the boy explained with a groan. "And no, it's not an April Fool's joke. Almonds and cherries are related, so they have similar flowers. But...an almond tree in the middle of our campus? That's weird."

"An almond tree on campus," the girl remarked. "Ooh, can we get free almonds?"

"Not so fast," the boy replied. "It's not ours, but..."

He stared at the tree, squinting his eyes.

"Hey Mabel?" the boy asked.

"Yeah?" the girl known as Mabel asked with a bright smile.

"Do you see those?" he asked, pointing at something in the tree.

"What Dipper?" she asked, looking up at the same tree. "Another joke? What are you look...oh."

Both of them inspected the tree with a closer eye. On it, there were a good number of almond blossoms open, small yet vibrant and pink. However, eight of the blooms stood out. Unlike their counterparts, these eight were much larger, and much more colorful. Three of them were clearly the largest, while the other five were smaller, but still much larger than the normal ones.

"What's up with those blooms?" Mabel asked innocently. "If you say that this is an almond tree, and that almonds are related to cherries, then those blooms sure are NOT almond blossoms. Wait, they're lilies!"

"Lilies?" Dipper asked with a raised eyebrow. "Lilies on an almond tree? That's bizarre."

"No wait," Mabel said, getting up to approach the tree. However, the branch was way too high to reach, but its strange flowers were visible. She then turned around, and sat back down.

"Weird lilies," she remarked. "They look like a hybrid of both lilies and cherry blossoms."

"Almond blossoms," Dipper corrected her, munching on his burger, as he came and sat down with her. "But now that you mention it, they look more like lilies. But lilies with different colors."

"You see them too," Mabel said, going back to relishing her apple. "One of them is deep red with cyan lines. That fits you."

"Me?"

"Because you're wearing a red shirt with a cyan-and-white hat," Mabel retorted with a sly smile.

He looked down, then looked up with an annoyed face.

"Oh boy," Dipper groaned. "Don't get me into prophetic or April Fool's nonsense."

"But it sounds cool!" Mabel stated. "You even tried to find a four-leaved clover, hoping that it will boost your already-high grades."

"Point taken," Dipper admitted. "But yup; I see that lily-flower, being red with cyan lines."

He took off his hat, stared at it, and then put it back on.

"And mine is there!" Mabel declared, distracting him. "Next to the red one is one that looks emerald-green with magenta lines. It reminds me of myself!"

Dipper looked up, and stared.

"Yup," he confirmed. "Wearing a green sweater with magenta-and-black stockings and a magenta hat. That fits you so well. The last of the big three is different; it's deep blue with yellow lines like...like..."

Dipper stared into space, his burger still half-eaten.

"Dipper?" Mabel asked, waving at his eyes. "Dipper? Dip? Mason."

Dipper hiccupped, shaking himself back into reality.

"Mabel," he groaned. "I know, I miss Gravity Falls, and don't use my real name."

"Ah," she sighed in response. "I miss them all back there. It's been at least five years since we've been there. Is that why you zoned out?"

"You mean since 13," Dipper corrected her. "But yes, I miss them."

Both looked at each other, and sighed in unison.

"I can't believe it!" Mabel shouted, almost throwing away her stick of caramel apple. "We thought we could go back next summer, and 'next summer' became 'no summer' to go back all the way to now!"

Mabel deflated, munching on her apple rather furiously like a cute rat.

"Can't blame you," Dipper admitted, as he stared at his burger. "We begged our parents to go, but they got great promotions. And before we knew it, we're now at a good university, but no summer in Gravity Falls."

"How time flies!" Mabel declared, as she wolfed down her apple. "And now, we're 18."

"Yes," he admitted, fixing his hat. "But at least we still have souvenirs from our adventures there."

"And you bought the same trucker hat," Mabel said with a snicker.

"I don't want to lose Wendy's hat," Dipper replied. "So, I kept that in a secret drawer, while buying the same one to remind myself. Well, almost the same."

He took it off, and gazed at it. It looked almost like the one that his friend Wendy now wore. However, unlike the hat back in Gravity Falls, it had more red lines on the rims, and the image in front was no longer a mere pine tree. It looked more like a Christmas tree, with three stars on top.

"It's to remind me Mabel," Dipper spoke, as if at someone he missed. "Of the good old days."

Mabel watched him silently, as her lips ripped away at the last morsel of the apple. Finishing the stick, she got up and eyed a trash can nearby. Raising her right hand, she aimed and threw it. The stick bounced on top of the can, spun in the air, and then dropped in.

"Score!" she cried, raising her hands up. "Oh yeah, about the buds?"

"Ah yes," Dipper said, looking up. "Yeah, those three are huge when compared to the pink buds all around. The blue-and-yellow one...well, it reminds me of someone."

He stared into his burger again. Mabel looked at his face, then understood.

"Cheer up," she said with a sly smile. "I know what you mean, but no need to worry. So, what about the others? I mean, the other blooms? I see them too, and they are different. Wait, all five of them are slightly hot pink, or darkish pink? Brighter and larger than the other buds."

"But look carefully," Dipper said, snapping out of his trance to point at them with his burger. "Of those five, one of them is clearly larger than the others, only slightly smaller than the big three. However, it has a blue center. The other four are different; they look almost like twins."

"We are twins," Mabel remarked.

Dipper snickered, while Mabel smiled.

"But yeah," Dipper said. "Two of them are more purple than pink, but while one of them is clearly deep purple with black lines, the other one is purple-and-black with gray lines."

"You are into details," Mabel noted. "So, why did you notice them?"

"I don't know why," Dipper admitted. "But I had a dream about those eight flowers."

Mabel's eyes opened wide, then she gasped.

"Now that you say it," Mabel said. "I also had this weird dream last night-no, I had it for a few days at times. I know that it was a fable, but I forgot what the title was."

"What was it?" Dipper asked, clearly curious.

"It was some fable about a skinny wolf," Mabel explained. "Who wandered around, hungry for food and hungry for more. One day, it met a really fat, bouncy dog. It was super cute! I just want to smooch his fat wrinkles!"

"Oh that," Dipper spoke, staring at her. "I recognize that fable. It's called The Dog and the Wolf and it's one of the Aesop's Fables. It is a fable with a strange but very interesting proverb: better starve free than to be a fat slave. Not a very famous fable, for obvious reasons."

"How so?" Mabel asked, as the two got up. Dipper hastily wolfed down the last of his burger, since they had to go to class. "And remind me about your dream next."

"Pardon me," Dipper replied, as he took his stuff and walked with his twin sister. "But there are good reasons why some fables like those are less famous than others. For one thing, that proverb is speaking hard truths about humanity as a whole. Namely, that we humans are willing to sacrifice freedom, in order to be fed. Explicitly, for the United States of America, it leads to a moral dilemma: we claim to be a nation of freedoms, but we are ever vigilant and cannot really trust everyone. We are willing to grant our out-of-touch leaders and bosses a lot of authority, in return for security. Sorry if I babble Mabel, but that fable is one of my favorites."

"In other words," Mabel said with an eye raised. "That fable is unpopular, because the so-called Big Bad Wolf is actually the truly free, good guy, while the so-called Man's Best Friend is really our slave."

"Bingo," Dipper said, as they turned a corner. "And that's why I noticed those flo-waugh!"

Dipper bumped into someone, and he dropped to the ground. The other person also fell to the ground, and a variety of textbooks and other college student stuff dropped as well.

"Watch it, commoner!" a familiar voice snapped. "And watch where you're-oh!"

Dipper recollected himself, and stared at the person whom he bumped.

He saw a girl. She wore attire in themes of both blue and black, which contrasted with her bright blond hair. A pair of familiar, sharp blue eyes met his sparkling brown ones.

He saw her.

She saw him.

Both stared at each other for a split second, which felt like an eternity, but Mabel broke the silence.

"Oh my honey!" she roared. "Is that you?!"

Dipper opened his mouth, but said nothing.

"Is that...you?" the blond bombshell asked, this time with a soft tone. "Dip...Dipper?"

It was the same girl whom he thought of while staring at the tree with the eight strange blooms.

She was the one whom he thought, when he saw the large, deep blue flower with yellow lines.

"Pacifica!" he finally stuttered. "What...what are you doing here?!"

So, I am back. Once again, I apologize to all fans who love my previous stories. Unfortunately, I realize that I have a bad habit of writing and writing, and then losing steam.

For those who don't know, this is my second Gravity Falls fanfic. The first one is "Groom Falls: Legends of a New Summer." However, while writing, I soon realized that I did not plan on how to get the story to go from "point A" to "point B." Hence, I put that story on hiatus for the time being.

This one, however, is one that I decided to think through and plan, even asking some of my friends on DeviantArt and real-life family members, for advice and help. That is why this story is now up.

Reference: the year "202X" is a reference to the game Undertale. However, in that game the year is "201X." I changed it, in order to fit the current timeline a little more.

This is my first time admitting this on FanFiction:

I also have a DeviantArt account. I go by "Seekerlano," so that I can finally post more of my pics for this story.

This is also my first story where I will deliberately tie in with my DeviantArt account. Hence, I will also try and post this story on there. However, I will do that only once I know that this story is definitely set in stone.

Enjoy, and feel please to let me know on how to write and even collaborate with others to improve writing!

Or like and favorite, and thank you for understanding.

Sincere Seeker.
