Chapter 1
Chris sighed reading his book at lunch and looked at Yugi motto and his friends dueling. He took a breath and propped his book up on the table and removed his duel monster cards deck from his pocket and looked at the cards. He had never dueled anyone but had a deck. He ate some of his chips and put the cards away since he was a loner even thou his friend from Hatagaya academy said his flag type was a hero flag. He was kinda pissed and transfered schools since he always somehow got into situations and rescued people. He adjusted his glasses and decide to skip the rest of the school day and left as he passed a classroom and noticed a black flag on a girls head and noticed it was in yugi friends classroom. " A death flag great " he thought making a call.
Tea noticed the kid from Yugi class on the phone and staring at amber while talking. She tapped her on the shoulder and noticed amber look at her. She took her hand and left the classroom with amber and noticed the kid walk away as another boy walked up to amber. She watched as amber was handed flowers by the boy with a note and left. " So whats the note say amber " She asked.
Amber smelled the flowers and smiled at Tea. " his name is axel and he went to camp with me and Yugi and said he has been in love with me forever and asked me to dinner " She said as tea hugged her. She smiled softly and hugged tea back " after what happened to me because of my ex , i feel a change just happened " She said. She scratched her face " so mind helping me get ready for my date " She asked as Tea nodded sure.
Meanwhile chris was on the phone walking to a card shop. " So souta the death flag took care of it self and changed to a romance flag after a boy confessed to a girl he loved " He said and hung up as it started to rain. He ran into the card shop and waved to the owner and started looking at the cards and bought a few packs of duel monster cards and was shocked as he opened one of the five packs and got another blue eyes ultimate white dragon. He sighed noticing Seto Kabia entered the shop trying to take the owners blue eyes white dragon card. He noticed a defeat flag on the old mans head. " I'll take you on and as a hero I'll win " he said.
Seto laughed looking at Chris staring at his green hair and glasses. He noticed a serious look " fine " he said and nodded for Yugi grandpa and Chris to follow him. He noticed Chris was clam as they reached kiba corp and walked to the duel system. He started the duel and played a face down and a monster in defense and ended his turn. " What can you do Chris when you have never dueled before " he said.
Chris looked to Yugi grandpa and drew five cards and a sixth. " First i play cyber-serin and pay life points to bring blue eyes ultimate white dragon to the field and then i set two face downs and play black hole and counter with white hole to save my monsters and then i play card destruction and play monster reborn to bring dark magican girl to the field. He smirked at the shocked look on Kabia face. He crossed his arms and had his monsters attack seto life points. " with that i end my turn " he said.
Meanwhile Yugi entered the card shop with tea and Joey since tristain was busy. He noticed a note from his grandpa. " Yugi sorry a classmate from your school tried to take my blue eyes white dragon card and another student decide to duel for me come to kiba corp " he read and ran throu the rain as joey and tea followed. he ran into the kiba corp bulding and saw Chris win the duel. " Um your Chris right , and wait your a duelist " he asked as Joey and Tea had the same question.
Chris looked at three " I will explain later come by my place Yugi and friends come by my place if you want " he said writing his address down and leaving smiling a little as yugi hugged his grandpa. He put his deck in his pocket and heard his phone ring " oh hey Souta , I see your at my place will talk when i arrive " he said hanging up. He walked to his place and entered his apartment and saw Souta siting on his couch and saw his brother's green coat. " I see Weevil is home " he said hearing the shower on. He then noticed a pacakage with his name on it Chris underwood.
Meanwhile Amber was eating some lobster and was laughing at axel jokes. She blushed at hearing stories of Axels storys from childhood. She looked away as Axel talked about saving a girl falling in a river. Her face became even redder as she heard " thats when i fell in love with you " She took a sip of her water and kissed his cheek. " So would you like to join me for a cup of coffee , Axel " She asked.
Axel nodded " Sure Amber by the way i am a fan of your duels against Yugi when you decide to practice at his grandpa shop " he said. " So wanna have a duel for fun after the coffee " he asked. He blushed as She nodded sure. " Cool so shall we order dessert and take it to go " he asked as they finished thier meals. He order some strawberry chessecake and paid the bill and followed Amber to her place and tripped over a package with her name on it as she caught the cheesecake.
Axel smiled " nice catch , amber " he said picking up the package with her name as she opened the door and placed the package on the table. He took a seat on her couch as she made some coffee and placed the strawberry cheesecake on two plates. He looked at who sent the package. " Industrial illusion from maximillion pegasus He smiled as amber placed the coffee on the table. He took a sip as she opened the package.
Meanwhile Weevil turned off the water in the shower. He dried off with a towel and then changed into his pajamas. He walked out of the bathroom and went to walk to his room and noticed the package from industrial illusions. He went and took a leather jacket from his room and took a seat on the couch. " So younger brother why do you have a package from industrial illusions " He asked.
Souta noticed the smell of cigars on that leather jacket weevil was holding. He noticed a flag above weevil head. " trying to give a gift for the information and likes to cause trouble " he thought as Chris opened the pacakage. " Well Weevil , chris brother he defeated seto kabia in a duel when he tried to steal a card from someones grandpa " he said. He noticed Weevil ruffle chris hair and the flag changed to proud of little brother. He went and took a sip of his water. " So whats the deal with that leather jacket " he asked.
Weevil laughed and put the coat away. He noticed Chris watching a video tape along with Souta. He decide to go to bed and fell asleep right away. He thought as he slept " using that coat to get my brother in trouble since it smells of cigars is funny or one of his friends since i get them grounded.
Meanwhile Amber found herself dueling Pegasus. She was shocked as she ran out of time as Axel soul was sealed away. She cried and put on the duel glove and put the two stars and placed the cards in her pocket. She grabbed the directions and called an ambulance that took alex away. She noticed Yugi in the hospital with his granddad. She walked over to yugi " what happened " She asked noticing Joey , Tea , and Tristan bringing Yugi some Coffee.
Yugi took the coffee and looked at amber. He took a sip of the coffee. " After Chris from our class defeated seto kabia , he ripped up my grandpa's blue eyes white dragon anyway and i dueled seto and defeated him " he said. He smiled thanks as amber hugged him. " afterwards we headed back to my grandpa's card shop and i found a package from industrial illusions " He said noticing a look on amber face. " Wait you received a package from pegasus as well " he said seeing another kid in a coma arrived and noticed Chris with the person as well.
He got up and walked over to Chris and noticed amber came with him. " package from industrial illusions " He asked as Chris nodded. " So who is your friend " He asked. He noticed Chris take a photo out of his pocket and handed it to him. He took the photo and read the name. " Souta " he said. " Well lets stick together for the tournament to save our loved ones and friends " He said.
Chris and Amber nodded and both sighed. " that duel was impossible , and it was my second one " He said. He looked to Yugi who nodded in agreement as amber noticed the case that was locked near Chris. He took a breath " My collection of duel monster cards , lets just say i don't trust my older brother near them so i always carry them around when he is home that jackass and cheater " He said noticing amber and Yugi took a stepback. He chuckled " Sorry " he said as his stomach rumbled.
Yugi nodded and scartched his face " So who is your brother " he asked as Chris rolled his eyes and pointed behind yugi. He turned and saw Weevil underwood. " Wait Chris your Weevil's younger brother and i leave it at that anyway lets get some food " He said taking Chris and Amber's hands. He kept walking till they reached a burger place. " How long was weevil standing there " he asked.
Amber order some burgers and sodas and placed them on the table. " Since Chris said jackass and cheater " She said taking a seat near yugi. " So Chris why were you standing outside my class earlier " She asked as Chris took a sip of his soda. She and Yugi noticed he took out a notebook to explain. She took the book after he placed it on the table. She flip throu the book and read about flags and the different types people had and how souta could break and them and change them. She then read about chris flag being a hero flag and how he could sometimes see other peoples flags and change them. She closed the book. " I understand so what was my flag " She asked.
Chris sighed and finished his soda. " death flag but axel changed it to a love flag and cleared so souta should up for a report and to visit me " He said. He noticed amber nodded and took a breath that amber flag was still a love flag. He went to get a refill of his soda as amber and yugi talked. He noticed Tea , Joey , and Tristan arrive. He went and took his seat and took a sip of his soda.
Yugi smiled " i guess your flag suits you but why did you not make any friends at our school and only talk to a few from your old one " he asked. He noticed Chris shrug his shoulders . " I get it you find it a pain sometimes having to be a hero so you deal with the situations and then keep to yourself anyway from now on we are all friends so if you need any help just ask us " He said as Tea , Joey , and Tristan took seats. He noticed Chris nodding noticing tears of joy.
Tea coughed " thats all and good even though we do not know what you are talking about " She said handing Chris weevils leather jacket. " Why did Weevil tell me to give you this leather jacket that smells of cigars " She said. She noticed chris tear a blank page from his notebook and wrote the answer. She took the page " I see Weevil bought this and uses it to get you or friends in trouble " She said as Chris nodded. " I would throw it away but its supposed to be cold so just wear it and then hide it at yugi and then make sure weevil never gets it back " She said.
Chris smiled and put on the leather jacket. " thanks tea thats a good plain " he said as Yugi nodded that was fine. " So quick recap for you Tea , Joey and Tristian , Me , Yugi , and Amber are all participating in duelist kingdom and I saved amber from a death flag earlier " He said noticing the questioning looks from Tea , Joey and tristian. He chuckled as Yugi whispered to Tea. He took a bite of his burger " anyway i may change my green hair with a part on the right and add a little black hair for the tournament by the way rock paper siscors for who faces weevil my brother " He said.
Yugi and Amber nodded sure and put their hands out along with Chris. Yugi smiled " I win " he said with paper as amber played rock and Chris played siscors. He chuckled at the looks Chris and amber gave. " Fine two out of three " he said as Amber won with sissors as He played paper and so did Chris. He laughed as Chris won the last round with paper. " good game , i say amber gets to face Weevil because she had 2 wins and one draw " He said as Chris finished his burger and nodded in agreement.
Amber waved bye to tea , Joey , and tristian and walked to Yugi with Yugi and Chris. " So Chris i guess you have the stuff industrial illusions sent with your card collection " She asked as Chris nodded. She took a breath " I am sure will do fine in the tournament " She said noticing Weevil get out of a limo in front of them. She hissed at him. She noticed Chris sigh and knock out weevil with his collection of duel monster cards.
Chris crossed his arms " Stop trying to get us drunk big brother and make us miss the boat to duelist kingdom " he said as weevil got up with a broken nose. He cleaned the blood off of the case. He noticed Weevil give a glare and left. He relaxed his shoulders as Yugi hugged him. " thanks sorry my stupid brother will do anything to win " He said as they reached yugi grandpa's card shop.
Yugi opened the door and headed upstairs. " We have a guest room and one of you has to take the couch in the living room but we have blankets and extra pillows " He said as Chris took the couch in the living room. He nodded as amber headed to the guest room. " Also Chris I get you were mad at your brother but call and apologise " He said as He noticed Chris calling someone on his phone. He chuckled as he placed a blanket and pillow on the couch. He watched as Chris hung up his phone. " So weevil said you can't take off that leather jacket then he will forgive you " he said as chris placed his head on the pillow and feel asleep. He knocked on the door to amber room and heard crying. He sighed " Amber i am sure you will save axel " he said as he heard scream with determination. " Damm right Yugi " He smiled and yawned heading to bed.
