« AAAAAAARRRRRRHHHH ! » bellowed the minotaur in frustration once he was back in the world of light, humiliated as the last of his troops passed the portal « Kill the prisoners ! »
The other monsters stood there, nervously glancing at each other.
They had seen their leader crawling for his life away from a little girl and an admittedly scary unicorn, abandonning the mission in the process barely 30 seconds ago and now he was ordering them to kill the humans that the lord himself was very clear about wanting alive.
The minotaur felt weak, exhausted, he was furious but his eyes didn't have their usual commanding shine.
A centaur trotted towards him and spoke up : « General, I don't think she's coming »
_What are you talking about horse ? Of course she will !
« General, look » the centaur pointed behind the bull headed giant then muttered « centaur by the way or Iolaos if.. » which earned a dismissive snort from his leader :

Iolaos raised a brow at this conflicted between thinking it was an interesting perspective and wanting to protest the claim that his human torso was a head.
Then, the minotaur looked behind him to see a tall white unicorn, he growled but he didn't see the girl on his back, in fact, the princess was nowhere to be seen.
He blinked a few times, confused.
Titanius was also confused, her weight on his back hadn't felt like much but it still had felt like something and it had disappeared just like that.
-Princess ? Did you fall ? Where are you ?
He looked around panicked.
Iolaos the centaur chimed in : « wild guess, you both went into the wrong tree, you're here alone with us all » he opened his arms and cocked his head « and she's probably dead »
Titanius lowered his head.
It wasn't an act of intimidation, he was ashamed of himself, 'How could I have not thought about that ? No, it's fine, it was just part of her journey, she needs to go through this to become what she needs to be'

But Titanius stood his ground, the portal behind him :
