Mid October
After the wedding fiasco they had kept things casual they would still speak but they haven't discussed them yet. And to top it off she nearly killed Gabby who was trying to push her button. In which she chose not to let loose on her, what her friends all dubbed as going all Carly on her. She just redoubled her efforts to make her look horrible in practice, upstaging her.
While the coach was watching and she knew it got under Gabby's skin, it became her favorite pastime. They had just got back from a mini break she lucked out with. They didn't have any games that weekend. So she went home for a few days staying with her dad because her mother still wanted to talk about how Les.
Wasn't the right guy for her after she told her mother they were just taking things slow. Suddenly she was shoved."YOU THINK THAT WAS FUNNY FRESHMAN, FRESH MEAT"Gabby shouted. Making Josslyn turn and shoved her back,"WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM YOU PSYCHO?"she replied.
"Gabs, it was an accident so chill out"Amanda says pulling her friend back. "NO IT WASN'T SHE SPIKED THE BALL AT ME ON PURPOSE BECAUSE LES DOESN'T WANT HER. I TRIED TO TELL HER BUT SHE DIDN'T LISTEN. I WILL TAKE YOU DOWN FRESH MEAT" she spat coldly.
Joss played it off"WOW okay then Gabriel I'm gonna go now you take care I'm Amanda. Gabby I'm sorry you feel the way you do we're a team" Josslyn said waving goodbye as she walked to her room. It was just her, Naomi had a track meet in Kentucky and Danny went with her.
Once she got to her room she showered and thought about texting Les. But threw her phone down, groaning to herself when there was a knock on the door. When she got up and opened the door"Les hi what are you doing here?" she asked.
Catching her off guard"you busy" he asked as she stares up at him" Umm no I was just gonna get something to eat come in"Joss said. Opening the door further, she saw Raven from the other suite next to hers. Wink at her making obscene gestures as she closed the door.
And now that she did her heart was beating a mile a minute as she turned and saw him. Sitting at her desk he had on a hoodie and basketball shorts but more importantly she was alone. In her room with a guy which made her extra nervous she let out a nervous laugh.
"So what's up?" she said trying to play it cool, "can we talk? ``We can go get something to eat if you want" Les says. Still glued to the door"thank you I appreciate it but I already ordered Chinese food" Josslyn replied. As he watched her"are you gonna sit or hold up the door I don't bite unless you want me too"he said with a grin.
Making her blush biting her lip slightly before going to sit on her bed when he moved the chair. Sitting right in front of her as he looked at her intently as she sat nervously"Sooo what's up" she says trying to read him but he was always hard to read. "So we should talk nah hold on hear me out I've haven't talked or showed genuine interest since Dani' mom killed herself you were the first one.
You just had a chill vibe and you weren't trying to impress anyone" Les says as her face drops shaking her head "Les I'm sorry I didn't know I Just" was all she got out when he stopped her. Putting his hand on her lips and"I didn't expect you to wait let me get this out I don't just.
I don't bring my daughter around just anyone. Joss you met my daughter, all these girls here want to meet her. So they can visualize what i would be like to have my kid and with me being 19 and a father. Whoever takes exceptional care of their child that shit got the open especially Gabby. But you're the only one to meet her chill with her whom she likes. I don't take that lightly.
And that shit was lame any other time you would have flat out asked me but you didn't you let her get in your head. YOU MET MY CHILD AND NOT EVERYONE MEETS MY KID CASE AND POINT SO when you did that. It was made corny for real you know what I mean so I was pissed and embarrassed.
Then met your family and I see where you get the shit from because they feel like they need to be catered too. Like they're supposed to know everything about me and I know nothing about them.
And the fact that they don't know how to ask simple questions and have a conversation. Hey, I'm her older brother so and so or I'm her mom. Whatever, nothing it went from zero to hundred quickly. You know, I don't deal well with shit like that because I have a bad temper that I try to keep in check. But my point is after seeing them I was less angry and more like damn you it's not your fault to an extent.
Joss that what building a relationship is ,you have to communicate whatever misgivings you have with me. Not just jumping to conclusions that makes something small a big issue ,you feel me. So I'm just saying communication is all talk just like we talk about everything else. I'm not gonna lie.
That gets me nothing. I'm so just ask me whatever you want to know" he says moving closer. Clearing her throat "So you weren't sleeping with a whole bunch of girls wait no because I've heard that alot. Not just from Gabby but a lot girls from the team now. I'm not accusing you of anything I'm asking" Joss says.
Taking his hood off "Okay i'm gonna be straight and say that they are all just mad that even when I was being stupid. I never slept with any of them, period now I will tell you I've slept with no more then five girls. And that was all after Dani's mom killed herself and three of them don't live in this country.
Well for the other one she goes to school in LA she's a friend of my cousin AJ they went to highschool together. Both were in the honors program and we commiserated together. That was it she had just found. That her boyfriend cheated on her and got the next girl pregnant and she ran into them.
While she was out with AJ after he told her he had to help his mother with something and that was it. And me and her are still cool she's even engaged out there in Cali and as far as now i'm not fucking anyone" Elesandro says. "Ok then if you don't mind me asking what happened with Dani's mom I know you said she killed herself why what would make her want to leave her little girl" she questioned.
He took a deep breath putting his hand on her hips sending a session through her body" Kay had her demons and she tried to fight them but in the end they won alright here's the situation. When she got pregnant with Dani we'd know if Dani was mines or her dads that's when we found out he had been raping her he had for years.
Her mother knew and she continued to let it happen. She did nothing to stop him when my parents found out they did something. They had him and the mother arrested. For child endangerment the mother didn't care. The only thing she cared about was keeping her man. After they went to jail he got killed in prison and I got to tell that bitch.
That was the only time she showed any emotion but after living with my family and knowing what love felt like she craved it from her mom. I don't blame her for that , but whatever her mother said to her after I begged her not to go see that woman she went anyway and whatever happened she took her own life after.
Me and my mom tried to stop her but we couldn't. It happened so quick I was going to take the gun from her but my mom grabbed it as she pulled the trigger. I pleaded with her all she said was I love you and Dani so much and thank you for showing me what unconditional love was and that was it she was gone.
And her mother didn't give a shit her biological father, who we found out was forced. Out of her and her older sisters lives because he tried to take them from her. Her family helped her force him out of their lives and he didn't have the money at the time to fight.
Now he said once he got himself situated in North Carolina he tried again and Rock the guy that she married. Who was a fake ass dealer almost had him killed and they told him that the girls were in foster care. But he didn't go away easy until she lied and said he was touching them when it was Rock the whole time.
When I told him she killed herself after her death, that was the first time in my life Joss that I ever seen a grown man break down. And cry when I mean cry I mean like a baby it was the hardest thing ever it's why i'm guarded. Of the people I have around Dani it's why I was the most pissed off is that I introduced you to her.
Brought you into our world and you couldn't even have a conversation so that is what took me so long. I'm particular on who I bring around my child that can have an influence on her. I'm taking a chance on you.
It's why I don't talk to chicks like Gabby and them ,they are looking for someone to fund the life they want. Because they know that my family took care of Kayla, got her through school and shit.

And I can't afford to bring anyone in my life that will hurt her" Les says she moved forward. "I get it and I would never hurt Dani when we weren't talking I missed her alot she was my little friend.
So I understand and I give you a whole lot of credit for that because I wish my mom was like you in that aspect. It would have saved me a lot of unnecessary drama of people coming at me to get to Sonny" Joss says. "Exactly my point" he says as she smiles "Okay but can I say something me and Oscar never really fought or argued about?
But even when we did it was easily resolved and you were honest with me so I will be honest. I was used to getting my own way and this was the first time I didn't and it was new to me. When I saw you I just wanted you to talk to me and get it resolved and I now see that.
It's not like that and even my dad said to give you sometime so did Krissy, Molly and that girl with all the tattoos and the white contact lens. That my brother was talking to you hell even when Cameron said it and he is very protective of you. By the way, because I thought he would take my side he didn't. He told me to just chill" she says.
Taking her hands "Joss we're not little kids anymore I'm a young man with a child and you gotta see it as. What affects me affects her you know and as her father it's up to me to protect her from getting hurt" he says. "I get it so now that we are clear I am sorry what do we do now" she says with a grin.
"Well I go home I have to give Dani a bath and do our bedtime routine you know daddy duties. But you will be coming to my mom's birthday party. Yay , I'll call you" he says with a grin. Then kissing her on top of her head "Wait what when I'm kind of scared to meet your mom if she's anything like your sister. Who is scary by the way like seriously like the way your sister Starr cut that steak at the wedding.
Was creepy like i'm so serious" Joss says making him laugh waving it off , "Starr is harmless well it's sure not gonna be like how your mother and brother were. My mother has a lot more common sense then to act that way so trust me you're good" Les says. Again kissing her on top of her head when she grabbed his hand pulling him back then kissing him on his lips with him kissing her back.
Naomi's house
Things didn't go as Danny had planned and he didn't gain any points with her brothers or dad. Who caught the making out in his car but he couldn't say no he couldn't resist her. So he was forced to use small talk while her father who owns a restaurant. Who was just as good with knives as his Uncles were, sat and watched him while they sat in her backyard.
But after speaking to his mom he was going to address the issue so he got up and walked over. " Mr. Delgado, may I speak to you for a second, sir?" Danny asked, as the man ran his knives together. Looking at him sternly "sure what's up" Hector says who stood about Danny's height.
And weighed about the same as Les " Sir I meant no disrespect I am crazy about Naomi and I have the utmost respect for her. I did not intend to disrespect you or your family" he says with the man still watching him sternly. Making him sweat like he was gonna have to act out of character when suddenly the man smiled.
"I can respect that you have my blessing but understand she is my little girl. She is special to me. Don't hurt her. I watched her hurt already. I don't want that for her and if you don't plan on sticking around. I would rather you cut her loose for someone who really wants her" Hector says, " I understand that sir and If I wasn't I wouldn't be here.
And if I'm being honest there's nobody after '' Danny says it made the man smile " I like you kid you're self aware and you came to me like a man" he said stretching his hand out. Danny shook watching the relief wash over Naomi who was ready to go to bat. For him when she saw her father smile she jumped up rushing over, hugging her father then Danny.
Who just laughed the entire mood changed she was the youngest of five kids two brothers and two sisters. They were a really close knit family much like it was which was why they clicked from the beginning. "Danny, do you go to the UM with her? "Her eldest brother Hector Jr asked, "not yet but next semester" he answered.
Catching her by surprise as he winked at her "But I thought you were gonna go to the University of Texas you know. Longhorns and all that" Naomi says, "well you didn't think I was gonna just up and do that after meeting you. Did you" he replied she was stunned into silence making her older sibling laugh.
"Look at her, the child is not talking mami" her older sister Nadine said. He saw the tears forming in her eyes. That's when he reached over and hugged her. Whispering in her ear "I think you're worth it" Danny said kissing her on the forehead.
She didn't know what to think that he would do that for her and her ex wouldn't. She couldn't speak. So she just nodded and enjoyed the rest of the evening sending Joss a text but she never answered. Which was worried because she always answered as he drove her back to the doors.
They sat quietly for the first few minutes "Is staying in Miami what you really want because Danny since I met you. All you talked about was going to the University of Texas and playing football for them" Naomi asked quietly. When he pulled his car over " Naomi I am crazy about you and If I have to make a choice it's gonna be you.
Is that okay with you or do you want me to go" he says, "Yes that's okay with me but I want to make sure this is what you want. Because I don't want you to hate me in the future because of it and of course I want you to stay. But I want you to be happy too" she says as he smirks caressing her light brown skin.
"I'm happy right here with you, nothing else matters I'm still going to either work for Cain industries or Derek Wells Media. How I get there doesn't matter with you by my side I can't lose" Danny says kissing her.
October 30th
Curtis and Elena's house
The party was in full swing when the kids came in "PAPIIIIII" Dani shouted when he came holding Josslyn's hand. When he hoisted her up in the air "hola bebe te ves muy bonita" he says as she kisses him on the cheek. Snuggling into his chest "Thank you papi Titi Lolo did my hair, Hi Josslyn, Tio" the little girl says waving at Danny and Naomi.
As Elody came over and hugged him" you made it just in time for Pops and Mami's public displays of affection" she says. With him making a face as they made their way into the house that was filled with people. That's when Joss turned around and saw her father.
"Dad what are you doing here?" she asked. He smiled and kissed her on the cheek. "I was invited by his crazy parents," Jax says with a grin. "Jasper Don't have me beat your ass at my birthday party hi carmelo" Elena says hitting Jax then kissing her son on the cheek as he made a face making Dani giggle.
"Hi Titi, happy birthday, here's your present and you remember my girlfriend Naomi"Danny says, "Aww Daniel Cain you spoil me hello Naomi how are you honey. We did go to your dad's restaurant and the meal was amazing so thanks for that. By the way hi Josslyn shush you don't need to introduce anyone to me Carmelo.
I met her at the wedding but unlike her mother I have some sense don't look at me like that Jasper . She's lucky I didn't pop her because she would deserve it. Because she was acting like an asshole embarrassing that child with her never ending mouth of hers I'm sorry honey.

Making her turn around "tell me I'm lying Jasper because we already saw that she was trying to take over the situation that happened with them right or wrong" she replied. Staying quiet because he knew she was right Carly was never gonna back down she was gonna push especially if she didn't agree.
"anyway I hope you like your present I hope it wows you like Daniel's did" he said with a smile trying to change the subject. It made Les and Danny laugh"Hmm sure Jax it better be good" she says as the kids walked away as Josslyn watched Curtis and Elle together and she was in awe as Les passed her a soda.
"Your parents look really happy. How have they been together?"Joss asked, still looking at them she's never seen that a couple not fighting and arguing as much as her parents or her mom and Sonny. He looked at them and shook his head" they have been together 22 and married for 20 years" he replied, "wow really they've never been divorced" she said in amazement with him shaking his head.
"Nope but that doesn't mean that they haven't had their fair share of drama but they realize what they had was worth it and twenty something years later they are still making each other smile.
I know your experience isn't the same but you have to know what is worth it for you not nobody else Josslyn because it's your life not your mom's what do you want" Les says. She smiled and looked at him with a raised eyebrow "what I want is to '' Joss said kissing him as she wrapped her arms around his neck when someone clears their throat.
As humans Josslyn turned around "Oye kid Roman k lo k tiguere" he said greeting his brother and Skylar who winked at Joss making her smile. "Hey guys how are you doing?" she asked, hugging Joss as her friend shook her head. "We're good, what about you guys''her friend answered with a huge smile.
That's when she saw the necklace "cool are you coming for thanksgiving Joss" Sky asked, "shit no my grandma is coming in for thanksgiving Les I was going to ask you to come"she asked. It made him and his brother turn around "it's thanksgiving, Josslyn .
Do you know what that means no of course you don't that means Abeula's pernil that means the line of matriarchs in this entire family's pernil. Nah but for real I'll gotta see if Danisa's grandpa is coming first and I'll get back to you"he responds with her looking at him with confusion.
As he hugged her when Dani tugged at his leg making him pick her up and hugging her then kissing her on her head as Josslyn tickled her Roman smiled happy that his brother was returning to normal.
