Once again the ball is coming up. Hermione has not gone to a ball since the Yule ball. She always gets a smile every time she thinks about it. Every time Ginny notice she always asks the same question, "Didn't Ron make you cry that night?" and she always responded, "Yeah! He did." And then sighed and said, "But if he hadn't it wouldn't have lead to the best night of my life." She would always ask her to explain but she just smiled and left her hanging.

*flashback*

She was their sitting on the stairs crying because Ron ruined everything once again. Sometimes she felt like if they are this mad about her going with the star Quidditch player, Victor Krum what would happen when they found out about her crush on Draco malfoy from 2nd year. She didn't still get about it though because well he never even gave her a second look other than arguing, or did he? Hermione had caught him staring at her a few times but as soon as he noticed she was looking his stare would turn disgusted and annoyed. She would always feel bad and sad about it.

Suddenly she heard a voice behind her. "hey fancy seeing you moping here." She would recognize that voice anywhere. It was bloody Draco malfoy. She thought, 'Speak of the devil, The devil appears. Just great!' She turned around to see him holding two glasses of punch. He sat down next to her and offered her a glass which she took because well, she needed some. "so what's wrong? Potter and Weasly made you cry?" he asked her. To which she had responded, "So now you care about me?"

"Are you bloody gonna tell me or not?"

Draco sneered. "Well to sum it up I came to the ball with Viktor Krum, Danced with him for the night, Ron ruined my mood, we both had an argument and now I am bloody crying."She explained. Then draco said the words that took her by surprise, "Come outside." He took her outside and then said, "Dance with me." She took his hand and as soon as she did the last song which was the last slow song of the night.

They danced all throughout the song with him leading her in a beautiful waltz and her staring at him in his grey and silver eyes. At the end he twirled her out and then twirled her in with her back to his back to his front such that he was hugging her from behind and stayed like that to catch his breath.

Then he whispered in her ear, "Weasly is an idiot. He is just jealous and insecure, but the way he acts and treats you he doesn't deserve you. You know every time I look at you I see everything I want but when i look at myself I see nothing you deserve. I like you a lot wanted to have the guts to ask you to the ball, but well i am not a gryffindore. I do really like you and we both know this won't last too long so i want to make the best of the time we have. So, will you be my girlfriend?"

Everything changed in that second for Hermione she quickly said yes and he spun her so that she faced him and bent down she grasped his face and pulled him down and they both gave each other their first kiss to each other.

She remembers the day like the Hogwarts: A History and after that they dated for two years till sixth year away from prying eyes. They had to breakup like Draco had told her the first time. It was hard but when they came back at Hogwarts she took him in easily as she was aware of his situation and the choices he had to make.

Now he finally got his courage and asked her out with a bouquet of blue lilies and Ron asked her again as a last resort. She had tried dating him to get away from her feelings for Draco but it didn't work out and made her even more longing for Draco.

Today was the day and they made their way to the great hall. Draco came he was wearing a Pursian blue suit with a gold tie and black shirt.

He started to find Hermione who wasn't visible anywhere. Suddenly headmistress McGonagal came up on stage and said, "before we start the dances whe have Hermione Granger singing a song." Hermione was wearing an Arabian style ball gown, it was Purssian blue cover with delicate and intricate Gold designs and stars with a halter neck and no sleeves. When she entered everyone's eyes was on her and her eyes were searching only for Draco. When she found him she started to sing.

When she completed the song her eyes were welled up with tears and she was looking at draco the whole time he ran up on pulled her close and kissed her with all the emotion he had bottled up.

After that they danced the whole night with everyone watching in surprise.
