Prologue:
The ship emerges from hyperspace. Being escorted by 2 starfighters, it goes to land on the planet Coruscant on a foggy day. The ship lands on a hovering landing bay, with the fighters landing off to the side, both pilots getting out.
"Some nice flying back there, my lady," says one of the pilots to the other, a male voice.
"Well I had R2 helping, and you insisted that we do this," responds the other, a female voice. "But ultimately it was important for Senator Amidala's safety. For that I thank you, Captain Typho."
As the main ship's ramp has descended and 2 guards come out to escort the important passenger, the captain remarks, "I guess I was wrong. There was no danger at all."
The female pilot starts to chuckle, but is quickly cut off when an explosion rips through the ship, right where the main passenger was standing. The Captain immediately moves to a protective position around the female pilot, but after nothing happens, she pushes herself away from him and runs towards the wreckage.
"My lady, wait!" The captain shouts at her, as she finds the Senator severely injured lying on the landing bay.
"Cordé-" the pilot says but is quickly cut off.
"I'm sorry Senator, I failed you," Cordé responds, taking aggressive breaths due to the pain.
"Cordé, I never meant for this to happen," the pilot says, taking off her helmet to show the face of Padmé Amidala.
"It's-its-" Cordé tries to say before she succumbs to her injuries and lays still.
Padmé starts crying. Typho wraps an arm around her for comfort.
"We will have to inform Chancellor Palpatine and the Jedi Council about this immediately," Typho says quietly as fire ships arrive at the scene.
