"A town welcoming pirates? That's suspicious." Zoro said flatly as he looked at all of the cheering people who they all knew were bounty hunters as the ship arrived in Whiskey Peak.
"So long baby!" Mr. 9 said as he and Ms. Wednesday tried to jump off of the ship only for them to be snatched back onto it from behind. Looking over their shoulders they both paled drastically at the sight of two eyeless sockets staring at them as if peering into their very souls.
"Yohohoho! You forget that you are our captives, you don't leave unless our Captain says you can." Brook said staring at them and making them sweat heavily.
"Bring em along! They said this place is their town right? Maybe we can get some supplies in exchange." Luffy said laughing as he bounded off of the ship.
"Yohohoho! Aye Captain." Brook said laughing and physically picking up and carrying the two by the scruffs of their necks as if they were children.
"Wel-ma ma ma-Welcome brave pirates to Whisky Peak! We would lov- ma ma ma- love to hear stories of your travels!" The man with the fancy hair said adjusting his voice a bit as he spoke to them, although he looked a little thrown by just how dangerous some of the crew members looked. After all Usopp with his prominent muscles, Sanji just coolly smoking a cigarette but his suit highlighting his own muscles, and Zoro devoid of a shirt and showing the scars he had collected as if they were trophies…
It seemed that despite his eye smarting red jacket and the large x burn on his chest, the man's eyes skipped right over Luffy…which, since he was standing next to the tall attention grabbing Brook, could partially be forgiven.
"What's up? We picked up these two on our way through trying to hurt a friend of ours. They said that they're from here." Luffy said stepping forward and jabbing a thumb at the two who were being carried by the scruffs of their outfits as if they were disobedient kittens.
"Y-Yes. They are- ma ma ma- from here. They left to gather more supplies." Mr. 8 said sweat dropping slightly at seeing Ms. Wednesday and Mr. 9 being handled like they were kittens.
"Oh good. Can we trade them for some supplies for our ship? I promise we didn't hurt them." Luffy asked smiling brightly at the bounty hunters who were wondering if this boy was really a pirate. He just seemed so cheerfully innocent and honest!
"There would be no need for -ma ma ma- for that. We would be more than happy to give you any – ma ma ma- any supplies you could need anyways! We love – ma ma ma- we love pirates here!" Mr. 8 said keeping his gaze locked onto the blue haired girl who was embarrassed at how she was being handled.
"Ah really? That's convenient and unusual! Okay Brook! Let em go!" Luffy said with a wide grin on his face and some of the bounty hunters sweat dropped. There was no way the tall skeleton would just let the two of the-
"Aye Captain-san!" The Skeleton, Brook, said dropping them both immediately and while Ms. Wednesday landed on her feet Mr. 9 fell on his face.
Okay the bounty hunters were wrong. The skeleton would let the two go immediately and apparently the gangly unassuming boy was the Captain.
"Hey couldn't you have been gentler?" Mr. 9 demanded glaring at the pirates.
"We're pirates. You're lucky we didn't let you swim here…or that we brought you with us at all after you tried to hurt Laboon." Zoro said and he had one hand on Wado just in case they tried to attack early.
"You could at least have said thank you for us feeding you and letting you sleep in the cots instead of on the deck." Nami said sounding cross with them and making Ms. Wednesday look scolded but bow slightly with a thank you.
"It's alright guys. After all I doubt they're going to do anything." Luffy said smiling brightly at his crew and then tilting his head slightly at the bounty hunters, letting his hat shade one side of his face in what he was told was a rather intimidating look whenever he was serious.
"And if they try anything we can handle it." Luffy said and the bounty hunters felt a shiver of fear go down their spines at that as they shuddered. In that brief moment all of their brains and instincts were screaming that the man was dangerous. Danger, danger, danger, danger, danger, danger, danger, danger, DANGER!
"But they seem nice!" Luffy said beaming brightly at the bounty hunters who looked pale and shaking as if they were staring death in the face and suddenly the sense of danger was gone.
More than a few of the bounty hunters had fainted and the four frontier agents were slightly pale and shaking still as they stared at the captain.
These pirates…they were bigger and more dangerous than any other pirates that came through here.
"You claim that anyone who feeds you is nice." Nami said dryly to her captain who grinned at her and that seemed to spark a quick thought in Mr. 8's mind.
"We…we always through a feast when pirates come through. It's a town wide party." Mr. 8 said forgetting to do his usual voice adjusting thing now as he felt the sweat roll down his forehead.
"A party?!" Luffy was wide eyed now and beaming at that, causing more than a few bounty hunters to wonder if they had imagined the dark dangerous look and feeling he had a moment ago.
"Yes. We are always happy to throw a party for brave pirates that come through here and hear stories of their adventures." A nun with a high pitched voice said immediately capitalizing on that in particular to hopefully move them past the scary feeling and threat.
"Yosh! A party! Brook! Music!" Luffy said bounding forward and waiting to be lead to where the food was as Brook immediately began to play a lively tune on his violin.
The Bounty hunters sighed in relief and the cooks hurriedly ran to prepare a feast. Hopefully food would keep the pirates docile and drugged until the Marines got here and took them in.
They just might get away with this yet.
