Kugo has been living at the agency. No matter how often All Might tells him he has to talk to (Y/N), Kugo can't right now. All Might continues to try to talk to (Y/N), but she is not home when he comes by. He assumes she must be staying with family...
... until one day, the surveillance cameras catch a group of civilians. It's clear it's a hostage situation, but All Might can't believe who they got, dreading he has to tell Kugo.
"How the hell did they get here?!" Kugo rages.
"Don't even think about it; you're not going alone."
Kugo didn't want to get others involved, but All Might got Hawk and Fat Gum to help. Kugo questions why Fat Gum is one of All Might's choices.
The heroes knew they could walk into a trap but still didn't expect the number of civilians that reveal themselves.
"Go find her!" All Might urges, fearing this is more than a hostage situation, to get the three heroes to come to the location.
Kugo finds (Y/N) in an alleyway, barely holding on. He fears the villains have used her as a personal punching bag, but for how long? Since he left the school a month ago?!
She doesn't know Kugo is here, and there's no way to get an ambulance here with the fighting.
"Please stay with me, (Y/N)," he begs, even if she can't hear him, "I'm sorry for everything."
Please don't cause her injuries to get worse. Kugo frets as he picks her up. Hating, he either takes the risk or risks the medics' lives as the fight continues.
Kugo waits for an hour to hear how his wife is doing. The doctor considers her lucky to be alive. Though a broken arm and leg, fractured ribs, and needing surgery to repair the bones and internal bleeding aren't great. They do; however, dread telling Kugo (Y/N) may be in a coma for weeks after what her body went through.
"The last bit of good news I can give is the villains did not rape her," the doctor concludes as Kugo sits by the bed. The doctor leaves the room as Kugo cries.
Six hours pass before (Y/N) wakes up, realizing she's in the hospital, and Kugo sleeps on the couch.
(Y/N) stares at Kugo until he wakes up. Kugo hugs his wife, being careful not to cause pain.
"I am so sorry," he cries.
It's been a while since (Y/N) has seen Kugo cry, which causes her to cry.
"I'm sorry, I was furious for being lied to," (Y/N) says, "but I don't want a divorce. I love you. When was the last time I saw you cry?" She smiles.
"I've never been good with myself... I am insecure," Kugo admits.
"No matter how long it takes, I'm right here, Kugo."
The doctor walks in, pleased his patient is awake. The doctor tells (Y/N) she has a long road ahead before fully healing, even with Recovery Girl's power. Once the doctor leaves, (Y/N) strokes Kugo's hair, making him sleepy. She insists he go home to sleep and come back tomorrow.
Four months later
Things are better for Kugo and (Y/N). (Y/N) fully recovered from the ordeal, and the two are working on their relationship. It's fall break at UA. All Might demanded the couple take a trip. The two lay in bed after a long day of fun together. Even though it's been four months, Kugo worries about screwing up again. (Y/N) moves him loser and whispers she lives him.
"I know; I love you... and I don't ever want to let you go."
"Then don't Gang Orca...don't let me go."
They hug and kiss before resuming cuddling until they fall asleep.
