Team 7

Kakashi hadn't expected an eventful day when he woke up. As per usual he got up, met with his team and began to clean up the streets of Konoha. They decided to split up and see who could get the most done. Naruto was likely in the lead considering he uses his clones to get more done.

So imagine his surprise as he's cleaning the main road to see a dead man walking. At first glance he thought it was Sasuke, but the man's hair was too long, his eyes a shade lighter. And it took a flabbergasted moment for Kakashi to realize Itachi Uchiha was inside of Konoha… Alive.

Itachi was dead. Sasuke killed him. Those were facts yet here Itachi was. With a kid no less. A kid that just called him Ta-chan, did she mean tou-chan?

Regardless Itachi looked very much like a dead man, and it only proved it when he passed out after.

"What the hell's wrong with you!" He looked over at the girl and smiled.

"Maa, I'm just taking him to the hospital everything is fine, you should return to your parents." Her eyes widened as she looked around, eyes settling on him.

"He is my parent. That's my dad!" Kakashi couldn't keep the shock off his face.

"He's your what?" The girl nodded her head. She must have taken after her mother, nothing about her screamed "Uchiha"

"And I know you're lying, you're going to take him to jail. But he will die first! He needs a medic." The kid stated as she moved to stand in front of Itachi. Smart like him too. Though not a genius, which Itachi should be grateful for. There was nothing good about being born a prodigy in a ninja village- in Konoha.

He hosted the girl up before taking off to a makeshift tent near the hospital. He paced the room, Itachi Uchiha was alive. And what was more devastating was that he had a child. A kid… was he planning on killing her in front of Sasuke? Why come back to Konoha when everyone believed him dead and most importantly where was Sasuke? The question that haunted team seven, Itachi was dead (they thought) so why has Sasuke not come back to Konoha yet.

They stayed there for a while. With the girl switching off between holding Itachi's hand and re-wrapping his wounds.

Kakashi-san, he had called him that again. And why would a mass murder be so formal. Why had Itachi not tried to escape when he had speed on his side. Why come back?

The makeshift door to the tent opened and in walked the rest of his team.

"Kaka-sensei, why'd you leave?"

"Dickless is just upset that Yamato-senpai beat him."

"What the hell Sai, do I gotta prove I got a-

"What's going on Kakashi-sensei?" That was such a good question, what indeed was going on, and for that Kakashi had no answer. The girl hadn't offered anything since he brought her here and nor had he asked any questions.

"Itachi's alive." He said and watched as Sakura rolled her eyes before making her way to the Uchiha.

"What?! Itachi?" Naruto quickly looked at the man laying on the ground and gasped.

"And do we know how?" Sakura mused.

"Who are you?" All of them looked over to the girl who had stood protectively in front of Itachi.

"I'm Sakura Haruno, a medic. If you let me, I can help him." The girl's hazel eyes widened before she eagerly nodded her head and let Sakura pass.

"This helps him wake faster." the girl said as she dug through her bag and passed a vile and needle to Sakura.

"He's been taking this! For how long and how much?"

The girl hummed before looking back at the adrenaline, "A little over a week and not much, just 1 mL daily… he said it was ok." Sakura smiled at the girl before placing it away from her reach.

"Where's Sasuke?" Naruto cut in.

"Who?" the girl asked.

"How about you tell us who you are, and how you know Itachi?" Kakashi said as he sat beside the kid.

"I'm his daughter, Satoshi."

"EHH ITACHI'S DAUGHTER?"

"Naruto shut up." Yamato sighed as he glanced toward Kakashi, "Kakashi-senpai, is there a reason we have yet to inform the hokage."

"I'd like to know what we're dealing with before I announce anything.'' Once they told Danzo Itachi was alive, it wouldn't be long before someone was ordered to come and finish the job Sasuke started. Sasuke… a kill order, life has never been fair to the Uchiha.

"Danzo isn't my hokage." Naruto said.

"He is. If Tsunade-sama fails to wake up in a likely time, Danzo will be hailed as Konoha's 6th hokage." Naruto glared at the ground with his arms crossed.

"And not telling him Itachi Uchiha is alive would be treason, sensei." Sakura said, and she looked like she was close to laughing, Sakura despised Danzo.

"Sai," he began, "Will you be ok keeping this from Danzo?" He was Danzo's spy after all.

"Of course this is a team matter." A horrible one at that, Naruto and Sakura had long since taught him what family is.

"I want to hear what he has to say."

Sakura nodded as she set to work on healing the man who made her teammates' lives a living hell.

…

He hoped this would be the last time his body gave out on him. Over the course of the few weeks he learned that he could be awake longer if he utilized his chakra as a medic would. That plus the adrenaline he's been taking really kept him in the land of living.

He felt significantly better, his lungs burned but not as much as usual. His body wasn't in agony. This was the pain he was used to.

Opening his eyes yet again he took in his surroundings. Satoshi sat at his side holding his hand as the rest of team seven lingered around the room.

"I healed all your injuries, you're still sick and it's something I'm willing to heal only after Sasuke is back with us."

"I already told her you'd bring their dumb teammate back!" Satoshi harshly whispered in his ear.

"He's my brother." Satoshi rolled her eyes.

"Don't you DARE call him that!" Naruto… they had this conversation before and once again Itachi was grateful Sasuke had made a strong bond despite everything.

"I didn't know you had a kid." Kakashi interrupted Naruto.

"Sasuke is with Madara."

"Who the hell is Madara?!" Naruto demanded.

"It doesn't matter, Madara Uchiha is dead."

"You're correct in your assumptions, Kakashi-san. Madara is dead, there's a man in a mask who calls himself Madara. He's also an Uchiha."

"You killed your entire clan save for Sasuke. Yet you let a fake live, don't say the infamous Uchihas gone soft."

"Sakura! You and Naruto need to have manners. I swear I don't know what Kakashi's been teaching them." Tenzo looked at him apologetically, and urged him to continue.

"Do we have a deal?"

The members of team seven regarded each other carefully. If they said yes they'd bring Sasuke back to the village but what's keeping Itachi from murdering them all if he saw fit. And if they said no ,what would happen to Sasuke?

Honestly when it came to any member of team seven the answer was a dead giveaway.

"Tell us what you know, and then we'll get Sasuke."

"No!" Naruto said cutting off Kakashi, "Sasuke is our number one priority. He'll tell us on the way."

"Maa seems like we have a deal." Kakashi mused.

"Ta-Chan ," Satoshi whispered while tugging on his sleeve, "Promise you'll come back."

A fond smile appeared on his face, "Next time." He said, gently poking her forehead. Itachi sighed as he looked back to team 7, "We'll bring Sasuke back to Konoha and I'll tell you everything you need to know."

Tenzo nodded his head as he looked at Itachi. He often wondered why Itachi would kill his clan and the answer never made sense. Itachi was gentle. Often helping injured birds get back to full health. He never saw someone connect to animals in a way Itachi did. Itachi was once his kohai. And he still had faith in him. While the rest of team 7's priority was Sasuke, his was Itachi. He failed him once, he'd make sure it wouldn't happen again.
