This chapter should've come out earlier, but I got behind in school and had to focus on that instead of this story.
Don't own Naruto nor do I own any pics.
Use the Image I posted as a reference for Raicho's katana, only thing is Sheath is black.
NOTE- I am changing the way I write thoughts. I think it'll be better if I use apostrophe and Italization. Here's how it'll look from now on,
'Hello.'
Raicho decided to go and confirm if anyone survived the massacre. She silently made her way down the small hill looking up at the illuminated stary sky. In her past life, she remembered sitting on her bed gazing out the window into the night, she always found it comforting and somehow mesmerizing... She was broken from her little trance when she stepped on something odd. Raicho lifted her foot up to see what was underneath her sandal, and somebody's severed finger came into view...
Raicho let out a rough sigh and kicked the finger away. She didn't have the energy or feel the need to start freaking out and panicking, that never helped anyone. With her steeled heart and mind Raicho pushed onwards, into the blood-bathed landscape. As she walked through the sullied grass she quickly gathered that the Cloud Shinobi were vicious and brutal in their assault.
Just as she expected...
Corpses were violated and many were left unrecognizable, not even the children weren't spared. She cringed as the horrid smell of death made its way into her nose, she lifted her arm and used her long sleeve to cover her nose and block out the distasteful smell.
After about 5 minutes of searching through the massacred area, Raicho confirmed that nobody had made it out alive. She frowned, unhappy... No furious that so many had to lose their lives to some monstrous blood-thirsty dogs. It was complete bullshit! 'Fucking ninja think they can kill anyone and anything to solve their problems when it only makes it worse.' Frustrated and angry Raicho ended her search and began the walk back to the forest. Staying here any longer would prove useless and only bring about more negative thoughts. She still needed to give Natsumi and Yasame the burial they deserved.
As she made her way out she continued to look around hoping to find anyone she missed. Still; she didn't find anyone and was just about out of the area when she heard a cry, "M-Mama!" Raicho heard what sounded like a kid's voice shout hoarsely nearby. She quickly darted over to the sound of the voice and found a little boy, he looked like he was no older than 8, he was slouched against a broken box and was bleeding profusely from a huge gash on his chest. Raicho grimaced as they met eyes, he doesn't have eyes... "Mama?!" He shouted as he heard Raicho's footsteps and assumed it was his mother's... Raicho noticed a figure in peripheral vision and shifted her head. A lifeless woman laid faceplanted into the ground, a puddle of blood underneath her. She frowned and felt pity for the innocent little boy. The kid was in terrible condition and would likely die soon. Raicho wanted to help but she didn't know of anything that could improve his current state but suddenly she got some sort of idea.
Raicho swallowed hard as she sat down next to him and carefully put his hand in hers, "Shh honey, I'm right here it's okay..." Raicho said softly trying as best she could to sound like she imaged his mother would. The kid seemed to look a lot happier and calmed down. "M-mama, something doesn't feel right... I think I'm hurt."
Raicho gulped, she couldn't stop this child's death but she could make it a bit more peaceful, having his "mother," besides him in his final moments would make things better. "It's okay baby, you'll feel better soon. How about you take a nap and get some rest? I'm sure you'll feel better later." She said softly and carefully pulled him into a gentle embrace. The boy slowly nodded in agreement, "Y-yeah I do feel a bit tired now, wake me up in a few h-hours..." A few tears slid down Raicho's cheeks as the boy let out his final breaths and went silent, he wouldn't ever wake up...
Raicho was silent as she reached out with her fingers and closed his eyelids, at least she made his death all the more painless. She guessed that the only reason he didn't die sooner was an adrenaline boost, keeping him awake and numbing some of his pain. She gave him a moment of silence before quietly standing up and walking back towards the forest.
It didn't take Raicho long for her to see Yasame and Natsumi's corpses. She let out a heavy exhale and held on tightly to the shovel she had found logged in a man's head. She stabbed it into the ground, tears immediately cascading down her face as she dug the hole that would house 2 of her most beloved people.
It did take a long time but eventually, Raicho made a grave big enough for both Yasame and Natsumi. Raicho picked up Yasme's body first, carefully laying her in the grave. She let out hard sobs as she picked up Yasame's head and placed it where it should've been attached to. She then moved onto Natsumi and removed the jacket she had placed over her. She laid her body right next to Yasame. She folded up the jacket she used to cover Natsumi and placed it over her lifeless body, looking up to the sky she muttered, "I'll never forget you..."
She covered their bodies with haste not wanting to risk having the complete mental breakdown she knew was on the way. She respectfully gave the two a prayer and a moment of silence then sped off towards her village. She wiped the tears from her eyes and gave herself a light smack on the face, "Natsumi would probably be making fun of me right now." She told herself as some sort of motivation to stay focused and press forward. Raicho was under an amount of stress she had never felt before and needed any kind of boost she could get.
Her situation was incredibly shitty but Raicho knew she wasn't going to give in to some Cloud Shinobi dickheads. She'd kill herself before anyone forced her to abide by their rules. Because this was her life and Raicho had no plans to become some bitchy pushover. No, in the end, one way or another she would come out on top. Today's events were just a chapter in her legendary tale. Raicho felt a small smirk make its way onto her face. Yes, she was sure eventually everyone will realize she was a true savior and would be remembered for ages to come.
Raicho was pretty exhausted from everything that had happened today, so she took quite a while to arrive at the village. She tried to be optimistic but if she was being real with herself she already knew the outcome of the invasion. They had already killed everyone at the emergency location so it wasn't much of a surprise to her when she laid eyes on a burnt and destroyed village. She could already see a few dead bodies on the path leading to the damaged gateway. They were probably trying to flee but were caught and subsequently murdered. She kneeled down next to one and searched it, to Raicho they were already dead and maybe they had something of use for her. "Not like they'll be needing it anymore," she mumbled to herself. After the relatively quick search, she ended up taking a black ninja weapon pouch that had a few kunai and shuriken still inside. She equipped it to her right hip and brought out a kunai for protection, she had some experience with handling kunai. It would provide some help should she find herself in any danger.
With kunai in hand, Raicho lowered her stance and silently crept into her broken village. As she snuck around Raicho saw lots of what she would deem war crimes. Blood, limbs, and guts were splattered all around the streets and buildings were crumbling. Some people were even hanging from signs and trees. Raicho quickly lost all hope of finding her parents at all, there were so many bodies and tons of debris, but she still continued her search.
Raicho noticed something rather odd. There weren't any corpses with Cloud forehead protectors on; however, Raicho noticed that there were lots of ashes and scorch marks on the ground with blood puddled nearby.
Raicho brainstormed for a few moments and came up with a theory. There was no way the Cloud attacked this village and didn't come out without any casualties. Also, it would look very bad if Kumogakure was linked to an assault on Konohagakure territory, so what they probably did was burn all their deceased corpses. Now there was no evidence besides Raicho herself, linking Kumo to the assault.
Raicho wondered how Konoha would react to such an accusation. She couldn't really come up with anything specific but they might do something covertly. With Konoha being weakened by the Third Great Ninja War and Obito's assault with the Nine Tails, Konoha wasn't in any position for war.
Suddenly, Raicho was taken from her thoughts when she felt that dark energy calling out to her again. Although, this time it was different, last time it came to her and gave her strength. But this time it wanted her to come to it, for what, Raicho did not know. Raicho felt this darkness resonate inside herself, truthfully she wanted to learn more about it. She was drawn to it, drawn to its power, and strangely intoxicating aura.
So like a moth to a flame, Raicho answered its call...
Raicho immediately felt herself get loopy, and her thoughts became hazy, seconds later Raicho lost consciousness. However, she wasn't out for long as she quickly woke back up, in space..? She was somehow standing perfectly normal in what looked to be space. She looked down and all she saw was the endless abyss of stars, planets, and pitch-black space... To say the least, Raicho was mindfucked.
"What the fu-"
"SILENCE!"
Boomed a commanding voice that demanded obedience. Raicho immediately shut her trap as the voice and overwhelming presence clogged her senses. Raicho knew the second this entity's presence washed over her it belonged to whoever gave her the insane power influx. Suddenly an indescribable noise came from behind her. Raicho instantly spun around was now facing a dim spark of light. The little ball of light started to circle her slowly as if it was evaluating or sizing her up. Raicho shuffled a bit, she was starting to get nervous not knowing how she should act. Thankfully, the ball finally stopped moving and the familiar voice came.
"Hmm... I guess an introduction is in order."
Raicho didn't respond instead she just meekly nodded her head in agreement.
"Very well," the voice suddenly switched from being all-powerful and masculine to a more feminine tone but still maintained its commanding half. Then the ball started to shine and it got so bright Raicho had to close her eyes and look away. Eventually, the light died down and Raicho looked back to see a gorgeous black-haired woman. The woman portrayed a neutral face but Raicho knew otherwise, it was just a facade. From the immediate feelings and presence she got from the woman, Raicho knew that she was not to be trifled with.
"Who are you?"
"I am Ursula, the goddess that brought you here. You should be grateful that I chose you, you know." Raicho's eyes widened, 'she is the reason she was in the Naruto world, and she is a fucking goddess!' "Why would goddess care for a human? Why did you bring me here?" Raicho asked her genuinely wondering why would a god get involved with mortals.
A smile too sweet made its way on Ursula's face and she shrugged, "Ohh I don't know, I was getting pretty bored, so why not make this show you dislike into reality and throw you into it?" Raicho glared hard at Ursula but it clearly didn't faze her. "What? I even gave you a few buffs here and there. It looked like you were having fun too." Raicho wasn't appeased at all by this, it was now obvious that this god was behind that purple lightning and really her whole life.
Raicho huffed, "Yeah it wasn't that bad until the cloud started to MURDER EVERYONE I KNOW!" She yelled at Ursula who still looked like she couldn't give a rat's ass. "Well, you were getting too comfortable and I was getting pretty bored." This goddess was really starting to piss Raicho off, matter of fact why did she even bring her here? "Hey, why did you call me here, what do you want from me?" She questioned Ursula.
Ursula seemed a bit more interested in the question and a little smirk formed on her face. "It's not particularly what I want from you but what I want to give you..." Raicho subtly started to get a bit excited. 'But who wouldn't? It's a gift from a fucking goddess!'
"I know how much you loved using that purple lightning I graciously lent you." She took a step closer to Raicho leaving them only a few inches apart. "I know that you savored using my power to decapitate that monster..." Raicho cringed a little on the inside knowing she wasn't lying. 'Does she really have to know everything?'
"So, what about it?" Raicho asked, wondering what she was getting at. Ursula grinned, "Isn't it obvious? I'm going to grant you the ability to use it without my help! Although it won't be nearly as powerful if I were to use it, for you humans, it should still be as powerful if not more than most Kekkei Genkai.
Raicho was very excited and struggled to hold back a full-blown grin, though a small smile did end up slipping. "A-Are you serious?" She hesitantly asked. Ursula grinned and nodded, "Why?" Raicho asked. "Well watching over you has been pretty boring, to say the least. So after trying to get things exciting I set off that Cloud invasion killing everyone you knew." Raicho's mood dipped at that. "But because of that, I do feel you need to be compensated due to my interference."
Ursula reached out and placed her fingertip on Raicho's forehead, a small purple spark was made on impact, but Raicho felt nothing. "Was something supposed to happe- AHHH!" Raicho yelped in pain as a burning sensation suddenly came from her right arm. Fortunately, it was like getting a shot and as quick as the pain came, it was gone. Raicho quickly rolled up her sleeve to check it out. Ursula let out a light chuckle amused, much to Raicho's dismay. But Raicho instantly forgot about that when she saw the symbol that was now tattooed on her shoulder.
She looked back towards Ursula for an answer, "That tattoo symbolizes my blessing, it can only be removed by me or another god. It'll also grow It'll grow along with you. "Raicho nodded and traced the tattoo with her finger mesmerized. "How does it work?" A sly and mischievous look entered Ursula's eyes, "That's for you to figure out, I'm just myself up for a good show. I'm sure you'll make it work out." Raicho sighed disappointedly but half expected as much.
Ursula clapped her hands, "Alright now that your compensation is over with I'll present you with your actual gift." Raicho lit up and listened intently. 'Jeez, it really feels like Christmas when she gives me things.'
A smaller portal opened to Ursula's right similar to the one she came through before. Raicho watched intently as she pulled out a beautiful sheathed katana. Even in its sheath, it looked more expensive than everything she owned combined. She was already impatiently dying from the need to start mastering it.
Ursula held the weapon across her hands, "You're already pretty adept with a blade and I sense a katana will suit you perfectly." She gestured for Raicho to take, and Raicho eagerly took it. She marveled at it, turning it all around so she could see every angle. She ran her hand along the beautiful golden Kanji engravings that it spelled out Suraisu. Raicho hadn't even seen the actual blade yet but judging from the stunning sheath and hilt, it was going to be some special.
After another moment of admiring, Raicho gripped the hilt and slowly unsheath the glorious katana within. She awed as it fully came into view. It was an undeniably beautiful blade, that felt as good as it looked. The hilt was perfect for her hands and felt very comfortable. She swung it around a few times, picturing an imaginary target being sliced in half. After yet again another moment of marveling and admiring the katana Raicho realized something and returned her attention back to Ursula. "Its size and proportions are perfect for me right now but when I grow it'll be too small." She told her disappointed. Ursula waved her hand dismissively, "That katana is made out of a metal that only gods have accessed to, I have made it so its full potential can only be achieved by you, also It'll always stay proportionate to you. Finally, there's one last thing that comes with the sword."
Ursula snapped her fingers and Raicho felt a sting on the back of her right hand. She looked at it and on it was a Kanji symbol for 'storage.' The Kanji then faded away, but Raicho still felt something there. "It's a hidden storage seal that no matter the circumstance, can only be opened by yo-"
"Times running out..."
A deep voice whispered out of nowhere. Raicho looked around trying to find the speaker, and Ursula only grumbled. "Alright alright, let's wrap things up." Raicho nodded and sealed the Katana away after sheathing it. The portal from before opened up behind Ursula and a devilish grin made its way onto her face. "You better take care of my gifts you little shit." She stepped into the portal and left but not before saying,
"After all, I'm always watching Yona..."
Raicho was left stunned by this and felt herself being pulled away by something. She didn't even remember blacking out but Raicho awoke sweaty and shakey. It took her a moment but Raicho calmed herself down, only to find something was very wrong. Instead of being in the streets of her decimated village, Raicho was being carried by someone. She never opened her eyes, so it seemed her holder wasn't aware she was now awake. They were moving unnaturally fast judging by the wind hitting her face, so she was probably in the arms of a ninja.
Raicho quickly formulated a make-shift plan. She was being carried bridal style and she could reach her weapons pouch hopefully undetected. Slowly, Raicho moved her right hand down and silently slid it into her weapon pouch. She grasped onto a kunai and carefully pulled it out, her captor still hasn't reacted. With the kunai out of the pouch, she held it in a tight reverse grip with it aimed at the person's leg prepared to strike. Finally ready, Raicho gripped hard on the kunai and guided straight for the person's thigh. However, just before the blade made contact Raicho felt a strong hand wrap around her wrist stopping her.
Immediately Raicho's eyes snapped open and she thrashed around in an attempt to escape. Though it was all in vain as she was held too tightly.
"Maa maa, that wasn't too nice now was it?" Came an oddly familiar man's voice. Raicho growled and looked up at the man who was now staring down at her. Her dark gold eyes laid upon a man with oddly styled white hair and a Konoha headband across one eye.
'Fuck'
Out of all the people in the world, she had to be in the arms of Kakashi Hatake. Raicho sighed, he probably wouldn't kill her for that, but now he would be hawking her constantly.
"Put me down." She demanded.
Kakashi eye smiled and simply up and dropped her, no warning or gentleness at all. Raicho yelped and hit the ground with an audible thud, earning her some rear end pain. "You could've warned me!" She protested. Kakashi just shrugged, "You told me to drop you, so I did as asked." Raicho glared at him and scoffed. "So why did you kidnap me and where are we?" "Well, I was on my way back from a mission and I saw smoke, so I went to it. Eventually, I found you unconscious in that destroyed village, so I decided to bring you with me. Now as for your second question, turn around." Raicho did just that and when she turned around, Raicho instantly knew where she was because past the few remaining trees were two all too familiar giant green gates.
Raicho was now outside Konohagakure...
That about wraps up this chapter and Raicho is now finally in Konoha!
Answering the last chapter's question, I'd have to say Michael Jackson is my favorite singer. As for my favorite band, it's definitely Queen.
I don't really got much else to say to ill leave you with another question. What's your favorite shoe brand? Kinda lame but I cant think of anything atm.
Anyway, reviews are love
PEACE!
