Avengers Civil War

When a tragic incident during a battle occurs, the Superhuman Registration Act is passed, forcing the Avengers and all other superhumans to follow the government and work for a higher authority. Iron Man sees the need for accountability but Cap thinks the heroes should be trusted to make their own decisions, not follow someone else's orders. Who will win? Team Iron Man or Team Cap?

7. Chapter 7

Ch 7

In the Hydra facility, Cap and Falcon went in and were surprised to see that there were no guards. They did see a man with a purple mask.

"Who are you?" Cap asked.

"I am Zemo." the man said.

"What do you want?" Cap asked.

"To see an empire fall." Zemo replied. "I have suffered for many years. Now I will finally get the revenge I deserve. You killed the only people I had in Sokovia."
"You lost someone." Cap said.

Zemo took off his mask and said, "I lost everyone. And so will you. Your death will come soon enough."

Then there was the sound of repulsors as Zemo walked away. Iron Man came zooming in, grabbed Cap by the neck, and blasted him to the roof of the building. They both fell but Iron Man was the quickest to recover and deployed an energy blade and a repulsor cannon on his other arm.

"Tony, he didn't kill your parents." Cap said. "Hydra had control of his mind."
"You don't think I can recognize my parents' faces?" Iron Man said. "Howard was your friend, Steve. If anything, you should be with me."

"There are no sides in a war like this." Cap said. "This isn't you."
"Get out of my way, bastard." Iron Man growled.

He blasted Cap back with his repulsor cannon and they had a second fight. Every time Iron Man tried to attack with repulsors, lasers, missiles, and his energy blade but Cap deflected or blocked the attacks with his shield. Then Cap disarmed Iron Man and hit him with his own energy blade, tearing away a side of his helmet.

Cap dodged and ducked Iron Man's fire, getting under it to deliver strikes to Iron Man with the energy blade. Until Iron Man fired his Unibeam which sent Cap flying back several feet. Then Iron Man used some battering rams to shatter Cap's shield and began to hit Cap in the face with them. Cap kicked Iron Man off of him but Iron Man grabbed Cap's head and slammed it down on the floor one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, and ten times. Cap elbowed Iron Man in the helmet, making him release his grip but Iron Man knocked him over with a sweeping kick and extended an energy blade before he was about to go in for the kill.

Then there was a rumbling soon and both Avengers stopped fighting and looked down. The ground was getting smaller. This was no regular Hydra base. It was a ship. And it released an army of Winter Soldiers, all hellbent on destroying the Avengers. It was all a trick. Zemo's master plan was to frame Winter Soldier just to bring them here and make them kill each other while he unleashed his army of Winter Soldiers on the world. It truly seemed like the Avengers' time was over.
