The clouds in Petropolis were getting darker and bigger. Dudley thought it was just going to be rain. It was starting to rain, but it was raining hard. Then BANG!
A huge violent thunderclap shook T.U.F.F. HQ. Dudley screamed and ran to his room. He hid under the covers and shook in fear. Suddenly, another thunderclap shook T.U.F.F HQ.
"KITTY!" wailed Dudley. "HELP ME! PLEASE!"
Kitty was downstairs preparing dinner for everyone until she heard Dudley screaming at the top of his lungs in fear. She ran up to his room to figure out what is wrong. When she came in, she noticed Dudley was under the covers.
"Dudley. Are you there?" she asked.
"Dudley is not here." replied Dudley. "He's in Covertown."
"Are you going to come out of Covertown?" questioned Kitty
"I-I-I-I don't know." stammered Dudley. "I-I'm too s-s-s-scared."
"Did something startle you?" asked Kitty.
"Yes." Dudley and answered in fear and tears. "Loud thunderclaps scared me and now I don't want to go downstairs!"
Another loud thunderclap was sounded.
"EEEEEKKKK!" screamed Dudley.
"Poor Dudley." Kitty thought to herself. "He needs someone to calm him down."
More loud thunderclaps shook the entire town.
"HELP ME!" yelled Dudley in panic.
"Now now Dudley." reassured Kitty. "We're inside. There is no need to be afraid."
"But I have astrophobia." said Dudley. "Fear of thunderstorms."
"Just breathe deeply and slowly." told Kitty softly.
Kitty breathed in deeply through her nose before exhaling from her mouth.
"Now you try."
"Can you do it with me?" asked Dudley.
Kitty nodded her head.
"Breathe in." instructed Kitty while she and Dudley breathed in through their noses. "And out." she instructed again as she and Dudley breathed out through their mouths. Dudley was now focused on his calm breathing rather than the loud thunderstorm.
A few minutes later, the thunderstorm passed.
Dudley and Kitty went downstairs for dinner.
