Peng gathered up all the villagers in the village square for training. He demonstrated a few basic stances and punches and instructed everyone to copy what he did. The villagers did as they were told and Peng walked amongst them and corrected a few of the villagers's forms and stances.
On the other side of the village square Lian was demonstrating some basic fighting moves with a bamboo staff. The villagers had bamboo staffs of their own and they copied Lian's moves.
The training was slow at first, but little by little the villagers were catching on and were improving. There were however a few doubters amongst the villagers.
"Why are we even bothering training? Some Kung fu moves aren't going to help us beat a gang of bandits!" Said a fat pig.
"A doubter huh? I think a demonstration is in order. Allow me to show you how this is affective." Said Peng as he motioned the pig and a small rabbit forward.
"What you plan to do?" Asked the pig.
"I'm not going to do anything. This rabbit is going to knock you down using what I've taught." Said Peng nodding to the rabbit.
The rabbit faced the pig, who was easily bigger then him. The pig threw a sloppy punch at the rabbit, who sidestepped it and delivered a punch using the form Peng had taught the villagers. The pig let out a startled gasp and fell onto his rear. The rabbit blinked his eyes in surprise and the villagers stared at him in amazement.
"You see. You're all becoming stronger and more skilled thanks to the training." Said Peng.
The villagers trained harder and when they weren't training Peng and Lian made plans to set up traps and ambushes for the bandits, when they arrived. Soon the village was prepared for the bandits arrival.
To be continued.
