Dante marched at the head of his band of thieves with Hudai sitting on his shoulder as they approached a new village. The band of thieves had attacked and ravaged three other villages looking for the masked warrior who had attacked and set fire to their fortress, but there was no sign of him. Hopefully they might find him in this next village.

"Attack!" Ordered Dante waving his trident forward.

The thieves eagerly charged forward thinking this was going to be an easy fight. Several of them rushed to the village square where they saw a scared looking group of villagers huddled together. The thieves charged forward, but halfway towards their intended targets a few more villagers popped out from behind some carts and splashed the ground with buckets of vegetable oil. The ground immediately became slick and the thieves began slipping and falling crashing into each other and parked carts and stands.

More thieves arrived and saw what happened to their comrades and they walked around the slick ground. Unfortunately for the thieves there were other forms of danger to worry about. Villagers suddenly appeared on the roofs of the buildings and began to pelt the thieves with rocks and rotten food, which took the thieves by surprise. Then villagers suddenly sprang out from hiding and began attacking the thieves with staffs and their newly learned Kung fu. Peng in his disguise and Lian also joined the fight and they lead the villagers and dealt with any dangerous thieves they encountered.

Lian saw Hundai flying overhead and jumped onto a nearby roof to challenge him armed with a rope she took from one of the stalls. The falcon saw Lian and charged at her. Lian sidestepped Hundai's charge and managed to strike the bird down with the rope stunning him and sending him crashing to the roof. She then tied the villain's wings up with the rope to prevent him from flying.

Peng took down a few more bandits and came face to face with Dante.

"I will have your head!" Snarled Dante as he charged forward thrusting his trident.

Peng dodged and backed away as Dante advanced towards him swinging and thrusting his trident at the young snow leopard. Dante's anger and frustration grew as Peng continued to dodge his attacks. This increased the ferocity of his attacks. Peng jumped over a trident thrust and kicked Dante in the face sending him reeling back. He then leaped into the air to deliver a punch to the bandit leader. Dante raised his trident shaft to block the attack, but Peng punched the shaft and shattered it in two, before his fist connected with Dante's gut knocking the air out of him and sending him flying and crashing to the ground in a heap.

Peng readied himself incase Dante got back up to fight, but the bandit leader was out cold. The other thieves saw their down leader and the fight immediately left them as they dropped their weapons and surrendered. The villagers cheered in victory as Lian smiled at Peng. The battle for the village had been won.

To be continued.
