A public transport was heading towards a planet. A human woman was cradling her baby "There, there, Alora. We're away from trouble now. A new life awaits us both". The ship suddenly shook, and the lights went off "It's the Empire! They're seizing the ship! We need to get out of here!". The baby started to cry as a door at the end of the corridor revealing Fiona and Sleuth. A snake ran up to them "This is a civilian transport. We were granted clearance for take-off". Fiona threw him aside "It's been cancelled. As fortune would have it, you carry a cargo of great interest to us". They started to advance on the human who backed away in fear "No! Keep away!" "Fear not. We wish to make friends. But first we have some business to attend to", Sleuth went for his lightsaber.
The Hurst was in a landing bay on the planet. Sonic walked over to Amy "This is unexpected. Don't get me wrong. It's always good to see you. But usually it means trouble" "What I have to say is Shinobi business" "Then I guess I qualify". Amy shrugged "You qualify more than I do". Tails watched them board the ship. Amy and Sonic spoke in private "I've been monitoring transmissions from Flame Core to find out more about the Raiju Lord" "And?". She sighed "Information about him eludes me but I've learned more about his Inquisitors. It seems they have a secondary mission to make retrievals" "We know they hunt Shinobi, so what else are they after?" "At this point I could only guess. I managed to decode two sets of coordinates. I'm on my way to investigate the first one". Sonic nodded "And you want me and Tails to check out the second. We're in" "Do you want me to explain to him". Sonic chuckled and walked over to the door "He's already been briefed". He opens the door and Tails falls through. He quickly got back up "Hey. You did say it was Shinobi business". Amy smirks "Bring Tex as well. He roved himself against the Inquisitors before". Tails nodded "So, where are we going?".
The Sneak flew towards a large city on another planet. They landed at a bay and the three of them got out along with G-merl. Tex grumbled "Did Amy say exactly what we were looking for?" "No. She just said we have to get whatever it is before. G-merl, you have those coordinates?". G-merl accessed a panel and projected a map of the city. Tails stared at the map confused "Housing units? What would the Inquisitors want there?" "I doubt they're renting. Tex, you take a look around the space ports for their ships. If they're already here, I'd like to know" "Don't worry. If I find any sign of them, you'll hear about it" Tex held u two detonators. Sonic nodded "Bring G-merl. Stay in touch".
Amy flew an old fighter ship to the civilian transport which was now adrift in space. Amy docked with the ship and slowly walked through the halls. There were burn marks on the walls and dead passengers "Help" a weak voice said. Amy ran and found the human woman "It's okay. You're safe now" "Please. Help my grandchild. They, took her, they knew she had it. Please find her". Amy held her "Shh. Rest. You need to rest. I'll find her".
Tex was walking behind G-merl, and he eventually groaned "I'm not following you anymore. I've lost track of where we've checked". G-merl walked over to a warehouse and opened the door revealing two special TIE fighters. He beeped to Tex "Okay, yes. You found them. Congratulations". They looked in but saw the robotic Chao hovering over one of the fighters "Uh, I hate those lousy probes". Tex takes out his sword and fires a laser at the probe destroying it "Ha. If I never see one of those things again, it'll be too soon. Let's blast the ship and get outta here". They approached the ship but then heard crying. Tex looked inside and saw the human baby. G-merl beeped "No, we can't just leave it here. What's wrong with you?".
Tails and Sonic approached a building "No sign of Inquisitors" "That's what worries me". They entered the building and went through into an apartment. They forced the door open, but the room was a mess "Sonic, I think we're too late". They heard a cry and ran over to a table and lifted it up. There was a female Seedarian lying underneath "What's your name?" Sonic asked. The Seedarian looked up scared "Starla" "Save your strength, Starla" "Please. They came for my child". Sonic looked to Tails "Who did?" "Imperial agents. They had red blades. But they didn't get her. I sent a robot to take please. Find her before they do". Tails helped her up "I promise, we'll find her". Sonic nodded "Starla, as soon as you're able to, get to Docking Bay 12". Tails and Sonic ran out "Why would they want her child?" "I don't know".
Tex and G-merl were back on the Sneak with the latter holding the baby. Tex had just heard from Sonic "There's another one?" "And it's headed your way. When you find the robot, tell it that the mother, Starla, sent you" "Understood. On my way". He turned to G-merl "That one's all yours".
Tex searched the streets of the city "Tex the Lizard. Honoured soldier, feared Freedom Fighter, baby hunter". He saw a robot carrying a blaster "At least I'm good at one of those things". He stopped the robot "Hey". It tried to get past him "Wait, wait, wait. I'm here to help! Skyla sent me". The robot stopped "Yes, that's right. Skyla. She sent me for the child". The robot held out the basket and Tex looked inside seeing the baby Seedarian laughing and reaching out to him. Tex lifted her out "Uh, there, there. Ah, why did it have to be me?". He took out his commlink "Sonic, I found the baby" "Already? You're pretty good at this" "Yeah, I know. I'm taking it back to the ship. Meet you there". He turned back to the robot "I want you as a decoy. Wait a bit then head to Docking Bay 12. You'll find Skyla there" the robot nodded and went in the opposite direction of Tex. He walked but then heard a wailing sound. He turned and the robot was thrown back with a slash across its face. Fiona and Sleuth stepped out and saw Tex. He ran for it "Naka-One, making it back to the Sneak is not going to happen" "Copy that, Naka-Four. Where are you?" "On the move. Ran into your two friends. We'll be in the tower at the grid nine intersection".
Not long later Sonic and Tails made it to the tower and saw the probe Chao outside "Hide!". They got out of sight "Well, I think this is the place". The waited till the probe looked the other way and they both quickly ran inside the tower. They head upstairs and "Hey, over here" Tex whispers. Tails and Sonic run over to him. They run into the apartment he was hiding in "How's the baby?" "Quiet, for the moment". As if on cue the baby started shrieking "What now?" "Well, you have the talent to connect, use it" Sonic told Tails. Tails picked up the baby and started shaking it. Sonic suddenly looked down "Tex, get back". A red lightsaber suddenly comes through the floor with another coming through the door "What now!?" "Only one way. Up!" Tails yelled. Him and Sonic got on the table and cut a hole in the ceiling. They leaped through into another apartment "I've got something for them". Tex threw back down a detonator down the hole before the three of them ran. Tails tried to stop the baby crying "Come on. We'll never shake them if you keep this up". Sonic stopped "Maybe we can use it. Keep your commlink on". He ran the other way as Tails and Tex headed up the stairs. Fiona and Sleuth came up the stairs and heard wailing coming from the floor they arrived at. They searched the corridor and entered another apartment. They find a commlink on the floor. Sleuth picked it up and angrily crushed it as Fiona chuckled. Sonic made it back to the others and Tex turned to him "Nice plan, but if you hadn't noticed, we've run out of floors" "They hunt Shinobi, right? Instead of him, let them hunt me". Tails turned to him "Don't you mean us?" "You have to get the little one outta here. And I think I know how. Use the cooling ducts" "I won't let you face them alone". Sonic shook his head "You made a promise to return this child to his mother. And the best chance we've got to keep it is for you to calm him down". Tails looked down at the crying child "I can't. He's terrified" "Because he senses your fear" "What?". Sonic sighs "He's strong with the Force. I should've seen it. The Inquisitors are after these kids because they're like you, Tails. They're afraid the children could grow up to become Shinobi". Tex opened the duct above them "All very illuminating, but as time is at a bit of premium". Tex lifted Tails inside and Sonic passed up the child. Tails took him "Don't have too much time without us" "May the Force be with you".
Tails was climbing through the duct when a lightsaber suddenly came up behind him "Ah!". Tails backed away as the baby started crying "No, come on. Calm down". He put his hand on the baby's cheek "Calm down". The baby stopped crying and Sleuth stopped when "Hey!". In the corridor Sonic ignited his lightsaber. Fiona smirked "Ohh… Sonic the Hedgehog. You've crawled out of hiding at last". She charged forward and fought Sonic. Tex got past and went for Sleuth who grabbed him with the Force and threw him into the wall.
Tails made it outside "Once I get you back you your mother, maybe you could come live with us on Drak. You'd like that, wouldn't you?". He ran but he didn't realise the probe robot chao had spotted them.
Sonic was pushed back by Fiona and was suddenly picked up by Tex "New plan". He ran with Sonic and the Inquisitors gave chase. They jumped out of a window and landed on speeder that the chicken pilot was looking scared. Fiona watched them form the window "Commander, send in reinforcements and lock down all spaceports. They jumped down onto another speeder throwing the driver out. Sonic looked back on saw them "We gotta give Tails sometime" he fired back but Sleuth deflected the laser bolts. Sonic instead aimed for the engine of the speeder damaging it. It crashed but Sleuth threw his saber and hit the side of Sonic's speeder. They crash not far away. The annoyed chicken started yelling as Sonic and Tex ran out.
Tails made it to the doors of the docking bay "Let me in! Let me in, G-merl. Paranoid gizoid. The door is locked, Sonic! The door is locked!" "I'm a little preoccupied at the moment!". Tails turned and saw Sonic and Tex running from the Inquisitors. Tex ran over to Tails as Sonic turned ad held back Fiona. Sleuth grabbed hi with the Force and Fiona kicked him back. Tails stepped forward and ignited his lightsaber, the child was mesmerised by the light and Tails had to move it away. Fiona rolled her eyes "I don't have time to waste on you child" she pushed him into the door. Tails fell to the ground, Tex got in front of the child and raised his sword ready to fight to the end, but the doors suddenly opened behind him. Amy stepped out with a fearless expression. She took out her red hilted lightsabers which ignited yellow blades. Fiona tilted her head "Unexpected, but not unwelcome". Amy stepped past the others "Tails, Tex, get the younglings to the ship". Amy leaped forward and took on both Inquisitors. Tails ran over to Sonic "Come on, get up. We gotta get moving". Sonic got u holding his arm "What about Amy?" "I think she's doing fine" Tex said and the three of them ran. Amy pushed Sleuth back and then turned to Fiona "I know why you want the children" "Well, who doesn't want to be a mother?". Sonic and the others ran into the Sneak where Starla was holding the human baby. She gasped when she saw his son and she made Tails switch with her. Sonic got in the pilot's seat "I'll get us airborne then Amy should come to us". Amy got both Inquisitors to the ground "You're beaten" "You think so?". A light shined on them, and Amy saw a squad of stormtroopers. Fiona and Sleuth both grinned and both stood up "Hmm, your capture will please Lord Eclipse". Amy heard the engines of the Sneak "Tell your master he'll have to wait". She leaped up onto the roof of a home and then into the Sneak. The stormtrooper fired up but she closed the door quickly as the Sneak flew away.
Starla held her child tightly "Thank you, Freedom Fighters". Tex held the human "That was crazy, but worth it!". Amy walked over to Sonic "They're Force sensitive. I've seen this before. A Raiju attempted the same thing back in the Clone Wars but the Shinobi Order stopped him" "But now there's no Shinobi to protect them. I guess that task falls to us now". Amy looks back and sees G-merl playing with both the children.
Fiona and Sleuth got back to their fighters which were now completely destroyed. They stared angrily when their Chao returned to them. It flew over to Fiona "Once I get you back to your mother, maybe you could come live with us on Drak. You'd like that, wouldn't you?". Fiona grinned "We would love to visit you on Drak".
